July, 3 (Morning) Devotion
“The ill favoured and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven wellfavoured and fat kine.”
Genesis 41:4
Pharaoh’s dream has too often been my waking experience. My days of sloth have ruinously destroyed all that I had achieved in times of zealous industry; my seasons of coldness have frozen all the genial glow of my periods of fervency and enthusiasm; and my fits of worldliness have thrown me back from my advances in the divine life. I had need to beware of lean prayers, lean praises, lean duties, and lean experiences, for these will eat up the fat of my comfort and peace. If I neglect prayer for never so short a time, I lose all the spirituality to which I had attained; if I draw no fresh supplies from heaven, the old corn in my granary is soon consumed by the famine which rages in my soul. When the caterpillars of indifference, the cankerworms of worldliness, and the palmerworms of self-indulgence, lay my heart completely desolate, and make my soul to languish, all my former fruitfulness and growth in grace avails me nothing whatever. How anxious should I be to have no lean-fleshed days, no ill-favoured hours! If every day I journeyed towards the goal of my desires I should soon reach it, but backsliding leaves me still far off from the prize of my high calling, and robs me of the advances which I had so laboriously made. The only way in which all my days can be as the “fat kine,” is to feed them in the right meadow, to spend them with the Lord, in His service, in His company, in His fear, and in His way. Why should not every year be richer than the past, in love, and usefulness, and joy?—I am nearer the celestial hills, I have had more experience of my Lord, and should be more like Him. O Lord, keep far from me the curse of leanness of soul; let me not have to cry, “My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me!” but may I be well-fed and nourished in thy house, that I may praise thy name.

Abandoned by kevron2001
I loved the description Kevron2001 had in this art of his called, Abandoned, I feel often churches want then pews filled, more the to fill  the hearts of people with God, I think that is how we lock Christ out, wanting to hear what we desire, more then the truth and what Jesus taught, he was not condemning over the petty thing, yet he was bold in speaking the truth, always loving, he only showed anger when someone disrespected his Father and the Spirit

The Devil's greatest tool is distraction. Satan seduces you with distractions that feed your flesh and lead you away from God.
Satans distractions can come in multiple forms. The devil can give you "blessings" such as money, a relationship, etc. that God has not given you because you are not ready and these things can distract you from the Lord.
For Proverbs 20:21 says, "An inheritance claimed too soon will not be blessed at the end."
Satan can also feed into your vices such as alcohol, sex, gossip, immodesty, etc. and you may say "oh well it is not a sin because I do not feel convicted." But the reason you do not feel convicted is because you cannot hear the Lord's voice above feeding the desires of your flesh. An example of this for me was when I practiced witchcraft and told myself "oh it's not a sin because God isn't convicting me." I did not feel convicted because I was serving Satan and not the Lord as a lukewarm Christian. Now when I say "oh I do not feel convicted" because of my relationship with Christ I immediately feel conviction.
Satan can also distract you with realtionships. Bad company corrupts good character and you can become distracted by hanging out with people who do not further your relationship with the Lord. Especially in romantic relationships the most important thing is that you both put the Lord first above each other.
Proverbs 12:26 "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leaves them astray."
Proverbs 12:30 "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."
1 John 1:6 "If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth."
Lastly the Devil tells you lies. In the garden he told Eve to eat the fruit so that she would become like God. However Eve was already like God as the Lord made us in his image. Genesis 1:27. The Devil will promise to give you things you already have in the Lord. And he will tell you lies easily debunked in the Bible.
If you're ever wondering whether you are hearing from the devil or God if it is untrue, contradicts the Lord's word, and distracts you from your relationship with Jesus, it is from Satan and our own sin NOT THE LORD.
I pray that everyone who reads this comes out of their sin, wanting to have a relationship with God above everything else. Remove sin, relationships, and lies from their life Lord, and make sure that in everything they do they live a righteous life FOR YOU. For You love them so very much and I want them to experience that love instead of the destruction that comes from Satan's lies. Amen.

conservatives came for abortion and people said they wouldn't be satisfied with just taking that away but the mainstream Christians assured us, all they care about is abortion and they won't touch anything else but sure enough now they're going after birth control, IVF, all kinds of reproductive health care used by millions and millions of people and the evangelicals who said this wouldn't happen just sit there talking about their stupid fucking sourdough starters while the democratic party refuses to push any candidate other that refried beans for brains Joe Biden so those of us with uteruses get to sit here wondering when it'll be illegal for us to hold credit cards in our name again like

Lifting From Being A Lukewarm: (How-To Not Be A Lukewarm)
A lot of Christians are Lukewarm, and sadly most don't know it nor know what is a Lukewarm.
But what even is a "Lukewarm Christian?"
A Lukewarm is someone who claims Jesus, but their actions do not show. They are not dark or light they are the grey. They are not the hot nor cold. They are the in between.
A Lukewarm could be someone who goes to church but continues to drink, smoke, watch p*rn.
Many Christians fall into being a Lukewarm. I my self was a Lukewarm, and sometimes still am.
Below are some signs that you may be a Lukewarm:
You have lost your desire to pray, worship God, or read The Bible.
You claim to follow Jesus but you don't feel as you need him.
You attend church but you rarely apply from teachings, and preaching.
You look for reasons why you don't have to go to church, pray, or read the bible.
You feel largely disconnected from God.
Don't panic if you are a Lukewarm you can always turn back to God. There are plenty of ways to turn back which will help you get to heaven.
One way to turn back is to repent from your sins. Repenting is super easy and really helps you to go to heaven. Repenting is simple you just get into a quiet room and pray. A simple prayer is: "Dear Lord, please forgive me for I'm very sorry I have sinned. I wish to repent from my sins, and not to sin. I love you, amen." You don't have to use this prayer, but say a prayer similar.
Another way is to spread the Gospel. Sadly, not a lot of us Christians do this. But it is very easy to do. Spreading the Gospel is like spreading the word of Jesus and spreading Christianity. I will soon come out with a blog with ways to spread the Gospel. (Coming no later than March 15th, 2024.)
Another way is to pray less about things that you want. It's fine to pray about things you want but make sure you don't do it that often and pray more about thanking God for stuff.

If a doctor said being ill is fine than we would say he is a not a real doctor.
When a pastor saids that it is fine to be in sin, can we not draw the same conclusion about him not being a real pastor?

by Jack Wellman | It’s easy to slide into complacency in the Christian faith, but how can we avoid turning into a lukewarm Christian? Sin is compared to yeast in the Bible because it puffs up and enlarges the lump, but yeast works best in, guess what…lukewarm water! It’s the same thing that sin does in the believer when we’re lukewarm for Jesus Christ and holy living...
