If you could change one thing within the series, what would you change?
Oh so many things, but I’ll start with the 'Donna is too good for Eric' bs narrative and just take it out all together. Like it’s basically putting all the responsibility on Eric, acting like he should be lucky she even touches him. And that makes me SO mad.
Eric was not a perfect boyfriend. I don’t think there’s even a such thing as a perfect boyfriend. But he truly loves Donna and makes an effort in their relationship repeatedly.
And I love Donna, but she’s not perfect either. That’s why I love her. She’s a flawed teen who makes mistakes but still tries to be kind. But the show tends to treat her like she’s holy and when they aren’t doing that, she’s getting objectified. It’s very weird and gross.
In summary, I’d have Eric and Donna actually be equals. And Kelso can be the one constantly bagged on instead for dating someone out of his league.

Hey all; I'm Greg Sanchez, a 42-year old father who started this whole tumblr thing back 2020 after my and my husband's 9 year anniversary. I felt this would be a way to document my general lived experience from the ages of 18 to now.
You see, when I was 18, I was the victim of a hit and run incident (I was struck by a random truck that took off) that left me in a coma for two months, where I had dreamt I was the avatar for Huehuecoyotl, the Aztec trickster god.
After I had gotten out of the coma I had:
Begun dating my best friend Atlas
Met Zoe, the literal girl from my dreams
Working under The Milky Way Fund
Getting a record label deal with Conquest, Inc.
(Possibly?) Met my dad's ghost in a coma dream I had after ending up in another accident while I was rushing to the hospital
Marrying Atlas
Having a son with Zoe
Eventually, it all worked out; Zoe and I are still friends, and most of my friends and I live in california.

My best friend is trying to convince me to go to Lucca with her to see top's concert. Part of my mind says "sure, WHY not?!". Another part of my mind says "ehhhhh". So I do really have far-from-home anxiety, uh. But a third part of my mind agrees with the first because, as my beat friend said, "such a chance like this will never happen to us again". So I think we might go, after all, if I convince my parents and fix all the issues with my family's organizations. Top's concert! Why not?

Gibeon & Amethio are related, but they are not father and son.
So, ep45 had me applying my clown makeup as I was a firm Gibeon is related to Amethio denier and that has uh clearly been proven true by that final scene… but I still don’t think they’re father and son like most people seem to be saying. First, let’s start with Gibeon’s physical condition.
Tumblr media
It seems clear by his position in the reveal that he suffers with functioning properly, this is further demonstrated with Hamber’s ‘Gibeon is awake’ comment. Considering he’s at least over 100, this is probably him abusing his mortality coming to bite him in the ass or some injury he sustained when Lucius kicked him out of the Rakua gc. And while pokemon never acknowledges topics like sex for obvious reasons, I doubt the writers would ignore the fact that Gibeon is clearly not in any condition to be breeding (dude only holds like 3 min meetings before going back to bed, he could never last that long in a physical activity such as that)
Now, this brings me to another theory i’ve been seeing: Amethio is some sort of clone/ artificial human being. I can see why some people think this, but i don’t think it’s going to happen. I just think it goes against the themes horizons has been setting up about generations (ex: ep34 where Hamber and Diana both pass things down to Liko and Amethio) i think it would be weird to have all this stuff about ancestry and then just throw in ‘oh and amethio’s not human btw’. It’s also just a really dark existential topic for pokemon, i know they can go dark and have done artificial creation before but that’s always been strictly for pokemon at least to my knowledge. I think people who believe in clone theory are getting too caught up in their Amethio and Hunter from ToH comparisons- ofc your free to theorise what you want but I just don’t see this happening.
To give some more solid proof that Amethio isn’t Gibeon’s son, let’s look at Liko’s ancestry.
Tumblr media
As we can see, hair does seem to matter when it comes to being directly descended from someone. All three have the same hair pattern, even if we can’t see the brighter blue for Lucca’s. Compare this to Lucius’s hair:
Tumblr media
It’s been made very clear that Liko is a descendant of his somehow, but this isn’t as direct as a great grandfather because then Diana could’ve literally just asked her mom who the man in the photo was to learn they’re related. Lucius resembles them somewhat but there are very clear differences.
Likewise, this seems to be the case with Gibeon and Amethio’s hair differences. They have the same colour scheme of white and black, but the way the two colours are separated are completely different. Just as Lucius and Liko’s family both have that sticky outy bit of their hair, Amethio and Gibeon both share that little white antenna although Gibeon’s is positioned differently.
So here’s my proposition: Amethio is related to Gibeon the same way Liko is related to Lucius.
Perhaps then Amethio is some distant relative to Gibeon who he located at some point- likely he didn’t have any family and so when Gibeon pulls up with his ‘oh hey we’re related’ spiel Amethio jumps at the chance for any form of connection. It’s not clear how much Amethio knows regarding Gibeon (he didn’t even know why he wanted the pendant after all) but perhaps Gibeon uses his condition as a further way of manipulating Amethio: not only does Amethio work for explorers to get Gibeon’s approval but also to find whatever he needs to not die so he won’t lose his last chance at family?
I also believe this is supported by all the Amethio-Liko parallels the show has been building up. It’s likely that Amethio’s backstory could be a dark mirror of Liko’s where the Explorers are to him what RVT is to Liko. Although, Amethio’s situation takes the ‘found family’ part more literally and instead of experiencing happiness he gets moulded into a child soldier…. yaaaay…
So then why does Gibeon actually need Amethio? Aside from the obvious meta reason, it’s likely Gibeon speculated someone with his blood could function as a Lucius detector (the pendant only stopped being dormant after amethio came into close contact) and this is also one of the reasons Amethio gets booted off the mission as he’d already performed his purpose of confirming the pendant was related to Lucius. Perhaps there’s something about Amethio’s ancestry which doesn’t apply to Gibeon that’s important? Or maybe Gibeon just put an easily exploitable child to good use.
Either way, there really isn’t a happy explanation for Amethio’s circumstances. Poor guy :(
I’ll potentially be eating my own words in a few months when we learn more about Gibeon and Amethio’s relationship but hey it never hurts to theorise. Hopefully we learn more stuff soon and that Amethio doesn’t get locked into off screen jail for another 11 weeks 💀💀

Friede is slowly becoming dad to the kids and is rather unaware of it :”D
Also, earlier in this scene, we get a name drop, Lucca-sensei, and Liko says her mother is a schoolteacher. Assuming Lucca is the name of Liko’s mom, that woman with the Squawkabilly from the preview?

Jesus christ I just remembered that flashback in Chrono Trigger where you're back in Lucca's childhood and her mom gets her leg stuck in that experiment??? And if you don't act super quickly and go to a certain part of the machine and enter a very specific shutdown prompt, she is permanently crippled and will always be in a wheelchair when you visit her in present day??? And since her being wheelchair-bound is how you've seen her in the game so far, fucking up the prompt and not saving her is actually what the devs EXPECT you to do; I just personally know you can save her cuz I'm a freak who's played that game like a thousand times. Like you're supposed to scramble around and watch her get hurt😭
Kinda a heavy scene for a game I (and many others) played as a kid is all I'm saying. But then again, this game also has humans being processed and killed for their energy by a malevolent super-computer, so I wouldn't really say it's tonally out-of-place..

Chapter 17: Preparation
Marle returned to the castle and immediately went to find Crono. This early in the morning, she knew exactly where he would be. As predicted, she found him getting ready to spar with Liz out in the gardens. It was part of their morning routine and Marle hated to interrupt it but the news Melichor had relayed could not wait.
“Crono, we need to talk. It’s really important,” she said, her voice edged with urgency Crono had not heard from her in a long time.
Crono looked to Marle then back to his daughter, then back again to Marle. He sighed and sheathed his bokken and set it down on the stone bench next to him. “Sorry kiddo, I gotta talk to your mom. I’ll be right back.”
Liz nodded. She could tell her mom was worried about something. Minutes passed as she waited for her dad to return so they could practice swordplay. After a while, Liz grew concerned as neither of her parents had returned. It dawned on her that it had been weird enough that her mom left so suddenly after breakfast with Lucca and Zarya without any explanation. Lucca and Zarya never came to the castle without Janus, especially so early in the morning. Something didn’t feel quite right. Finally, Liz put down her own bokken and headed for the castle, intent on finding her parents to ask them what was going on.
~o~O~o~
While Liz couldn’t find her parents, she did find Oren in Lucca's workshop. Lucca had trusted him with a key to the building and sometimes he would go in there to work on his own personal projects as he did in his spare time so he could learn how to help her recreate the Epoch.
“Oren, have you seen Mom and Dad?”
Oren looked up from the pile of tangled wires and metal panels he had placed on the workbench. He shook his head. “I thought you and Dad were busy with your morning sword practice.”
Liz sighed. “I was but then Mom-”
“Kids, we need to talk.”
Oren and Liz looked over to the doorway to see Crono standing there. Before either could ask what was going on, Crono continued, “Can you two come with me to your mom’s study?”
They nodded and followed Crono to the study. Oren tried to ask what was going on but all his dad would say was that he and their mom would explain at the study. In the study, they found their mom with her arms crossed, a grim expression on her face.
“What’s wrong, Mom?” Liz asked once Crono closed the door behind them.
Marle sighed. She took Crono’s hand as he offered it to her. Looking at Oren, she replied, “There was an incident in Alastori this morning… Do you two remember Melichor?”
“Yeah, he’s that guy who helped you guys fix the Masamune?” Oren answered. “Did something happen to him?”
Marle replied, “He’s fine… physically. Melichor arrived at the Ashtear’s home early this morning with the news that Mystics had burned his house down.”
“We’re telling you this because we know that you’re both old enough to handle this news,” Crono added.
“But I thought the Mystics didn’t mind him being over there with them before…” Liz remarked. “Why try to hurt him now?”
Marle sighed. She explained what Melichor had told her and Janus, about how the Mystics had a new leader who didn’t want any humans to set foot on their lands. How the only reason he knew to escape was because of the two Imps that had once helped them.
“We’re hoping that this new Elder won’t hurt anyone else… but it wouldn’t be the first time that Mystics have broken the treaty,” Crono lamented. “That’s the other reason we’re telling both of you this.”
Oren and Liz looked at their dad in surprise.
“Twice in our lifetimes Mystics have infiltrated this castle,” Marle explained. “Once during our adventure to stop Lavos… and once more when you both were young. We’re afraid it might happen again and we want you to be ready if it does.”
“Why didn’t you tell us about this before?” Oren asked, almost demanding in his tone.
“We didn’t want you to worry and think there was danger when there was none,” Crono answered. “Janus can see through their illusions when they try to disguise themselves as humans. After the incident when you kids were younger, he spent over a year making sure there were no more Mystic spies, but there was never another attempt after that day, so we asked him to ease up on his searches for the sake of his health.”
“Zarya was actually the one who first spotted the Mystic spy but she still has no idea she uncovered a secret Mystic plot and we’d like to keep it that way,” Marle added. “She’s too young to be worrying about hidden monsters.”
“Why did the Mystics sneak into the castle?” Liz asked. She recalled the history lessons about the Mystic War and how Glenn had advocated for peace, how the king had given the Mystics the island of Alastori so they could have their own nation away from humans with the provision that they stay out of human lands. “Why break the treaty?”
“The first time was for revenge,” Crono replied. “A Mystic calling himself Yakra the Thirteenth swore revenge on your grandfather and the kingdom for the death of his ancestor during the Mystic War. He had a group of likeminded Mystics and well… We took care of the matter and saved your grandfather and the rest of the castle.”
“What about the second time?” Oren asked.
Crono frowned and thought for a moment. “That one is harder to explain. Zarya noticed someone using an illusion spell walking by the library and Janus and I went to investigate. We found and outed the Mystic but she escaped. We caught the other two but they swore they weren’t there for revenge. Unfortunately, they died before we could get more information. We think the third Mystic killed them to keep them from talking.”
Marle added. “After that day, we worried for months that she would return or others would try to sneak back in but it was as if the whole thing never happened. We’ve avoided the news getting out to Porre or Choras regarding both incidents as it would make Guardia look weak. However… if the new Elder is as hostile as Melichor heard, then we will have to warn everyone of the potential danger.”
Oren raised an eyebrow. “Why?”
“Because, while no nation officially has a trade agreement with the Mystics, we know that there are merchants that do trade goods with them,” Crono answered. “I doubt the leadership in Medina will tolerate further human contact.”
“One more thing,” Marle looked at Liz. “I talked to your father about this… and we agreed that maybe now is the time for you to learn how to use your magic for self defense, Liz.”
Tumblr media
Oren saw the excited look in Liz’s eyes as she was told she would finally get to learn actual ice magic and all it did was remind him once more how he couldn’t use magic like her, how he had abandoned that part of him. He immediately felt he had no need to stick around and started to leave without asking to be dismissed when Marle cleared her throat and said. “Oren, could you please stay for a moment?”
Looking at Crono, she said, “Why don’t you two go back to practice? Janus should be by later to help Liz with her magic.”
Oren stayed as his mother asked, knowing she wouldn’t let the matter rest if he walked out. He turned to face her as his dad and sister left. He let out a heavy sigh the moment the door closed behind him. Alone with his mom, Oren frowned and asked, “Why do you need to talk to me? I don’t see what there is to talk about. You and Dad know I’m a pacifist and I don’t use my magic.”
Marle frowned and came around from the desk to approach Oren. She would have been blind not to notice that he carried the same headstrong attitude she had at his age. She had to be calm and careful with her words if she didn’t want Oren to resent her and Crono the way she spent years resenting her own father. She would have to let him vent and hear his words if she hoped to prevent a rift between them.
“Oren, I think there’s plenty to talk about,” she asserted calmly. “I’d hate for you to resent your sister or us. So please, tell me what's really on your mind.”
“It’s everything!” Oren exclaimed. “It’s all these secrets and magic and- What am I supposed to do while Liz learns how to use magic to fight? Help Aunt Lucca build you guys some sort of fire-breathing tank so you can fight more Mystics? Are we going to war?”
Marle sighed. What was she supposed to expect of him? He was still a child by all rights and didn’t need this burden on his mind. He was supposed to be doing whatever it was that young teenagers were supposed to be doing. But life wasn’t that simple for royalty or for the children of time travelers.
“Honestly? You shouldn’t have to do anything,” she finally answered. “I don’t want this reality for you or Liz. Worrying about threats from beyond our borders… You two should be as carefree as you can be as the prince and princess of these lands. Your father and I never wanted all this trouble for you two and I am truly sorry… And we won’t start a war if your father and I can help it.”
Oren’s expression softened. He looked down and said, “I don’t see why you didn’t tell us about the Mystics before… I mean, how could you keep that kind of thing to yourselves?”
Marle smiled, trying to find humor in the moment. “Well, the topic isn’t exactly something someone should bring up in casual conversation… There has never felt like a right time to tell you or your sister that your father and I killed Mystics to save your grandfather.”
“Are you really going to let Liz learn ice magic?” Oren asked, sounding a little weary.
“We’ll see…It certainly won’t be anything that will wreck the courtyard,” Marle replied. She smiled and changed the subject herself. “Speaking of you helping Lucca, why don’t you show me what you’ve been working on with her?”
Oren shrugged, still frustrated. “Sure, I guess.”
Oren knew his mom had a point about not telling him and Liz about the Mystics, even if he was frustrated by the secrecy. He truly hoped there was nothing to worry about. While he knew his sister was skilled with a sword and his parents had done amazing things in their youth, he wondered if the Mystics could actually do anything, given they had been rendered powerless by the Mystic War. Thinking more on it, Oren wasn’t sure he would know what to do if faced with the prospect of fighting any Mystics.
~o~O~o~
In the following days after Melichor fled to Guardia, Marle reluctantly contacted the leaders of Choras and Porre with the news of what had happened. Naturally, the two nations sent dignitaries who asked Marle and Crono what Guardia was going to do about the matter.
The day of the meeting, Liz sat beside her parents while they spoke to ambassadors from Porre and Choras. Janus had silently cleared them of being Mystics in disguise and departed before the meeting had started. Liz wished she could have followed him and asked for more magic lessons, but more and more her parents had asked her to join meetings with officials so she could learn how to be queen someday. She understood it was important that she be there and learn but she felt so out of place as the grownups talked.
“Perhaps we should ensure that the Mystics do not harm anyone else,” the ambassador from Porre suggested. “Stop the threat while we can.”
“The Mystics haven’t been a threat to the world since the war four hundred years ago,“ Crono countered, adding that the Mystics presently had no army to invade with.
Choras’s ambassador frowned and noted, “You say they have no army, but we know next to nothing about the Fiends as they have been practically isolationist since Medina’s founding.”
Liz sat there as the adults debated and argued for what felt like ages. Everyone had valid points, she supposed, but it was clear that the politicians from Choras still felt the sting of what the Demon King’s army had done those four centuries ago. They expressed the most concern about dealing with the ‘Fiend threat’ while Liz could see her parents were carefully treading their roles as leaders of Guardia and the fact they personally held no animosity towards Mystics as a whole. Liz found herself wondering why no one else involved could move on or why the Mystics continued to hate humans so much.
Finally everyone came to an agreement. While no nation had an official trade agreement with Medina or its citizens, no one present was blind to the fact that merchants in each of their nations had done trade with the Mystics on Alastori’s shores. An embargo, an outright ban on trade, was the safest bet for all nations. In addition, each nation vowed to ensure that the patrols on their ocean borders to make certain that no ships entered or left Alastori’s waters. Without trade from the outside world, everyone was sure that Medina would be unable to do anything to endanger any humans.
Later that day,  Liz told Oren about the meeting. Oren expressed doubt that the embargo and patrols were going to protect anyone.
“If there’s one thing I know, people will do what they want regardless of the rules,” Oren remarked.
Liz frowned. She knew her brother had once made a habit of sneaking out of his room back when their parents had been worried about Mystics sneaking into the castle. A fact she had kept secret for Oren's sake.
“But… they’re going to tell everyone why there’s an embargo,” she protested.
Oren scoffed. “There will be merchants who are willing to take the risk because they don’t want to lose money. Their whole business was trade with Medina… and people aren’t going to be happy when they can’t get the goods they want anymore so there’s going to be smugglers.” “What are Mom and Dad to do then?”
“Without controlling everyone’s every movement? I think they’ve done all they can,” Oren replied.

Liko's Mom is Lucca-Sensei (i think)
I thought the woman in the preview was this Lucca-Sensei, yeah, but then I saw everyone saying she must be Liko's mom? She does have a wedding ring on! It's not really something we see on a lot of pkmn characters afaik, unless they're like. clearly married (see kukui/burnet).
Tumblr media
But like... what if she's both.
Think about it, why would Friede be calling some teacher? He doesn't answer to anyone as far as we know, esp not some random teacher? And not a professor, a teacher.
Tumblr media
So who do we know that's a teacher? Liko's mom is a teacher! And we know Friede's been trying to call her and failing! What other teachers could we know of at this point in time? Sure, it could be someone we don't know at all yet, but like... why? Horizons has been so good with the forshadowing, so why set up something like this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lucca-Sensei and Liko's mom have gotta be the same person! And that's probably the woman in the preview!
But that's not my main point here. My main point is, if Lucca-Sensei is Liko's mom, what does that mean about the way the scene with Murdock/Orio/Friede plays out?
Tumblr media
He says, staring at the calls Lucca-Sensei hasn't picked up.
Tumblr media
Even though Liko's talked with her Dad, we still haven't followed up with her Mom yet. Because Horizons has stayed pretty focused on it's plot lines so far, if it starts a thread of something one episode, it'll continue in another. So we should still hear from Liko's mom specifically.
What kind of person is so worried for their kid she hires bodyguards to take em home, yet sends them overseas in the first place. What kind of person doesn't pick up calls from those same bodyguards for days?
What kind of person indeed... Ms Liko's mom, I'm looking forward to meeting you =))).
// Bonus
Tumblr media
I wonder why ;)

I really like the bond between Friede and Lucca as mentor and student. She clearly influenced him a lot and even when she was on a break from work, she still went out of her way to guide him along and give him the push he needed by making him meet Cap. I wonder if she is like this with all her students. I feel like Friede must have left a strong impression on her when she was teaching him.
Either way, I love how Friede genuinely deeply respects Lucca and feels thankful that he got to meet Cap thanks to her, since it set him on his current path. I think it's probably one of the reasons why he accepted taking on the job as a bodyguard to protect Liko, since that would be a way to repay Lucca for what she did for him and he wouldn't turn down a request from her if she really needed help. And the fact that Lucca entrusts her daughter's safety to Friede really speaks of how much trust there is between them. She wouldn't just ask anyone to watch over her. Lucca is properly paying Friede too, so she is not taking him for granted. They did a good job showing Lucca's influence on current events despite her few appearances. I feel like Friede is taking inspiration from her teaching style too, since now he is in the position of being a mentor to Liko and Roy. It's nice that he can guide others after he's been helped too.
Liko's reaction to the whole thing was cute too, I like how the thing that stood out to her the most in Friede's story is that her mom was his teacher. This helps recontextualize things in her mind though. Friede went from "stranger" to "someone my mom hired" and now she knows that he is "my mom's former student". I feel like this helps her get a better sense of her surroundings too. She says it herself too at the end of the episode: that now, she knows why she is with everyone. She knows how meaningful it is that her mom brought Friede and Cap together, which made them start the Rising Volt Tacklers, and eventually led them to her. It wasn't just her grandmother's pendant that brought everyone together, her mom also had a part in it.
Anyway, between Lucca and Liko's grandmother, it's nice to see older women characters with such strong presences in the narrative. I can't wait to meet Liko's grandmother.

Taban: How do you swear in ice cream flavors?
Crono: What the mint chocolate chip did you just say to me? I'll kick your rocky road and punch the ever-loving strawberry cheesecake out of you!
Lucca: …that was beautiful.
Marle: Now I want ice cream.
Glenn, turning to Robo: Why exactly are we friends with them again?

I spent this past weekend in Florence, and it was the first weekend I hadn’t traveled anywhere since arriving in Italy. I thought taking a weekend off from travel and getting some rest would be very beneficial so I don’t experience burnout! I’ve been here for two months, and this was the first weekend I simply explored Florence on my own. One of my goals in studying abroad was to embrace my independence and do more things on my own, so this weekend was the perfect time to do that! I enjoyed staying in Florence too. The weather was in the sixties and sunny. I spent as much time outside as I could!
I don’t have Friday classes, so I took my first solo day trip to Lucca, Italy. It was only an hour and twenty minutes on the train. I spent all day outside! I walked along the medieval city walls, read my book, ate pizza and gelato, climbed a tower, and explored the streets!
Tumblr media
View from Torre Guinigi in Lucca.
I liked that Lucca was quieter than the city life in Florence and there were fewer tourists. Lucca is very beautiful, and some of the streets are very quaint! I highly recommend going on a day trip from Florence. I think that another thing I loved about being by myself was that I could wander around and do whatever I felt like at the moment. I also didn’t have the pressure of time constraints and wasn’t worried about seeing all the sights because it is a smaller city.
Tumblr media
I walked along the walls that surround the entire city!
On Saturday, I walked around a lot. I went to the Mercato Centrale and bought cantucci because I was craving a sweet treat. I had lunch at Shake Cafe and read my book before I walked to Cascine Park. I sat at the park and called my mom to catch up. I got groceries and went to the dollar store. I made some pasta for dinner and ended my night with some gelato.
Tumblr media
My protein power bowl and fruit smoothie for lunch!
Tumblr media
Orange & avocado gelato from Sbrino! It was a recommended combo and I liked the flavors together!
On Sunday, I met up with my friend Or and ate lunch at Gustapizza.

Heart-shaped pizza! Topped with mortadella, burrata, pistachios, and olive oil.
We went to the market in the Santo Spirito square, and I bought more cantucci cookies because they are my favorite!

The market offers vintage clothes, jewelry, produce, antiques, textiles, and more!
I did some homework and did my laundry. I went to the Basilica of Santa Croce and saw the tombs of Michelangelo and Galileo! The weather was so nice that I walked home the long way and then decided to get some gelato before dinner.

The resting place of Michelangelo.
When the semester began, I had a mindset that I had to travel somewhere new every weekend because otherwise, I wasn’t making the most of my time abroad. But as the semester went on, I realized that was not true. I was worried that I would feel guilty for wasting an opportunity to explore a new place because when I am not busy, I tend to feel unproductive. But there was nothing wrong with staying in Florence and taking a break. Afterall, rest is very important. I have chill weekends back in the States, so it only makes sense that I take things slowly occasionally now that I am abroad. I enjoy traveling to new countries on the weekends, but I also want to ensure I don’t exhaust myself. And I still have many trips to look forward to! I know that wherever I can’t visit this semester, I can always come back to Europe in the future.
This weekend was so much fun on my own, and it allowed me to appreciate the city. I so am glad I can call the city my home for the semester!

lucca your thoughts and art are always so fucking cool 👍 id love for u tell me about cole in your ninja become their elements idea
:D thank uuuuuuuuuuuu leo!! i already talked a bit about cole on discord so im gonna try to expand on that a bit more
-Cole becoming one of his element is an alternate ending of the Cole vs Vangelis fight at the end of MotM. Basically discovering that the swords have no power and the power was all in his mom (and so also on him), lead to him attempting the spinjutsu burst just like his mom, but as the spinjutsu burst doesn't exactly come with an instructions manual he accidently ends up unlocking way more than he even knew he was capable of. He's surrounded by his element, he can hear and feel the earth calling for him and he accepts it. A boy so worried about being unable to achieve as much as his mom did, unintentionally surpassing her without meaning to.
-He's entirely made of lava when he's awake, but if he doesn't make sure to keep in constant movement he starts turning into stone and in a way 'falls asleep.' He knows he needs to stay awake, but he can hear the earth calling for him and it's so soothing and he's so so tired. He can end up asleep for months on end like that.
-Because of that he would be the ninja who remembers the least of his time as an overpowered elemental being because he was so busy napping for most of the time.
-If Lloyd is the hardest ninja to catch then Cole is the easiest ninja to turn back to normal. Mostly because they don't have to worry about finding him, stopping him from melting, containing him, or convincing him to stay around till they find a way to do so.
-Sometimes every couple months when he ends up waking up, as soon as they notice the closest ninja near him always screams for all the rest of the monastery to come immediatly see him before he goes to sleep again. He's very exausted and disoriented but they're making the best of the little time they have with him before he inevitably falls asleep again. Everytime it feels like they're reliving the first time it happened in Shintaro over and over again.
-Sometimes even while he's sleeping, if the ninjas just sit on the ground near him and just talk about their day, they can feel the slightest tremor on the earth beneath them very similar to the purring of a cat. He's not awake but he can still feel their presence even while unconscious and that's his way of acknowledging it.
-Even after getting his element taken away the markings and cracks would still be on his body, incredibly faint like little scars. Sometimes in the dark the glow faintly like if there was still lava running through them.
-His forehead scar would also be way bigger reaching to his cheek now. Looking almost like if someone cracked his head open through it
-The tips of his hair are still a little bit made of lava
-Boy would straight up get turned back to normal, wake up with a yawn and immediatly ask for five more minutes of sleep before getting tackled by all the ninjas around him.

1, 7, 8 + 14 for CT!
1. What originally drew me to it
The combat system and pretty colors I think! Idk, I was really young when I first watched my siblings play it, and it just stuck in my mind as one of the games I wanted to play.
7. A character who feels like home
Gonna say Frog! He seems the nicest, I'd like to spend time with him.
8. The character with the greatest/wasted unexplored potential
I would have liked to see more of Ayla! Strong, wise, confident, chieftain of her tribe, there was that moment where Azala said "take care of this planet." Lots of potential, and I would have liked to see more philosophical moments from her.
14. The character/story arc I find the most compelling
I like Magus's sidequest due to favoritism, but I think the part of the story that really stands out in my mind is Lucca's sidequest (the one where you have to save her mom from an accident), cus if you don't... WOW, and the time gate is RED. And the thought that Lucca is the genuis she is in the present because of trauma is WOW.
Thanks for the ask!
