Monster Waifu Contest
MonMusu vs. Monster Girl Doctor
Miia (MonMusu) vs. Saphentite Neikes (Monster Doctor)
No contest, Saphentite is venomous if she wants to be, but is incredibly supporting. Miia’s snake-snake-ness is what caused half of the bloody Drama.
Winner: Saphee
Papi (MonMusu) vs. Illy (Monster Doctor)
Papi is loveable, especially in her interactions with Suu, but Illy has a lot more magnetic energy.
Winner: Illy
Centorea Shianus (MonMusu) vs. Tisalia Scythia (Monster Doctor)
This is a really tough contest. While it seems like Centorea is aloof and mysterious, it turns out she’s just a weeb. Nothing wrong with that, of course. Tisalia has a much more developed character with a much more developed background, and the Centaurs are also trying to adapt to a more peaceful world. Centorea’s entire character is Proud Warrior Race Guy. Plust Tisalia made the Ojou Laugh fucking adorable.
Note: No insult meant to Centorea.
Winner: Tisalia
Suu (MonMusu) vs.
Meroune Lorelei (MonMusu) vs. Luala Heine (Monster Doctor)
This is a difficult one for a completely different reason. Luala is extremely underwhelming and feels more like a one-off character. Tisalia’s bodyguards get more development than Luala does.
Meroune Lorelei has a bit... of an obsession... that seems to cloud her character. She seems to be on the exchange programme to fulfill her Star-Crossed Lovers or Ravishment fantasies.
Note: Not picking on anyone who has Anxiety Fish as their waifu.
Winner: Mero
Rachnera Arachnera (MonMusu) vs. Arahnia Trantella Alakunida (Monster Doctor)
I really wish I didn’t have to pick between them, but I’m the one that made the rules for them. Arahnia is a lot more developed, and is a wonderful character in her own right, but Rachnera is so secretly supportive of everyone that she earns the nickname Rachnee.
Winner: Rachnee
Zombina (MonMusu) vs. Kunai Zenou (Monster Doctor)
I REALLY don’t understand the authors love of Bride of Frankensteins, and I think for me it would be the bridge too far to cross. But, if I had to pick, Kunai is hard on the outside but soft and yielding underneath, and I certainly have a fondness/weakness for that.
Winner (begrudgingly): Kunai
Manako (MonMusu) vs. Mené Redon (Monster Doctor)
Another really tough one. They made their personalities so similar. On one hand we have a classic Cyclops blacksmith waifu, and on the other we have a master sniper Monoeye waifu, and if I had to pick it would be
Winner: Manako
Suu (MonMusu) vs. Skadi Dragenfelt (Monster Doctor)
This might seem a weird contest, but hear me out: False Lolis
I COULD have compared Skadi to Draco, but Draco is not a haremette, and there’s no emotional attachment to her, other than a desire to hate fuck her.
But Suu and Skadi are basically similar characters on completely opposite ends of their character arc. Skadi has lived a fulfilling life, and now has nothing more to live for, while Suu is just learning what life is.
I feel Suu would be the more loving girl, though, and she makes the monster harem so much more entertaining, without being evil about it, like Miia.
Winner: Suu
Kii (MonMusu) vs. Dione Nephilim (Monster Doctor)
You might think, Tionishia would be the better comparison, but their personalities and the roles they fill in the story are closer together between Kii and Dione. Also, apparently, Dione is part tree, as a way to explain how such a giant person could... survive... really...
Kii is more fun, while Dione is more caring. Tough call.
Winner: tie
Kuroko Smith (MonMusu) vs. Cthulhy Squele (Monster Doctor)
This one is easy for me, but that’s just personal preference. They both have a powerful independent exterior with a deep yearning for... underneath.
Winner: The Black Monster, AKA Agent Smith
