Just some bloggy blog brain droppings. I want to gloat a little bit about someone who means the world to me. My mom ❤. I'm so lucky to have her.

She is my best friend and my biggest fan. She texts me every day asking to see what I've been doing. We are adult women together and she has been following all of my work - even the erotica - some folks think its weird to be able to discuss things like that with your folks, but Marmee (as I call her, any bookworms out there recognize this?) she has always been real, and chill, and incredibly down to earth. We face the world together as partners and besties, and to view eachother as equals as well as mother and offspring is something on an entirely different level.

I must say, it thrills the shit out of me to be able to text her and say "Marm! I drew some new sexy peen today, wanna see??" She's like "thats nice baby but I'm still waiting on Geralt from Witcher..." or "Hey! Mah! I just wrote a steamy smut fic. I'll send you the link for later!" Shes like "sweet, ill remember to get some Ben & Jerry's when I leave work".

I hope... that maybe these types of creative things lead to a lucrative side job or a career maybe? I want to give her everything! We are getting ready to celebrate our birthdays, only a few days apart, and these times are so precious to me.

I made this. While the power was down I kept busy with my normal chores, running over to check on my parents and making chevre. The chevre was the easiest part and once it drained for 24 hours I made ricotta with the whey. Now I have four cute little goat's milk cheeses draining on my dough board and seven ounces of beautiful fresh homemade goat's milk ricotta in my fridge. Not going to lie, I'm pretty happy with myself right now. This cheese is delicious and the milk from it came from my sweet goat Lucy. I'm allowed to be proud of myself right? Doesn't matter because I am and that's not gonna change. I can't wait to take my Mom some of this cheese. I think she'll enjoy it and I love to make her happy. I love my momma, she's the best. Don't get me wrong, I love my Dad too and he will likely enjoy the cheese but Mom has been looking forward to it especially. About a week and a half ago we discovered that the pumpkins were growing up the three sisters garden fence and had pulled it down in places. This allowed the deer access to my green beans and they wiped them out. I was unhappy to put it mildly but we shrugged our shoulders and shored up the fence and moved on. What else can you do? I had written them off in my mind because they ate the plant right down to nearly nothing. Imagine my surprise when John sent me pictures of green beans, lots of them. The same day I broke down and bought some because my mother loves dilly beans and she must be appeased. I guess I'll be making more dilly beans than I planned. With any luck I'll get enough to can green beans too. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.
