I had a really fun time in the whiteboard with yall!! Everyones art was so good omg. I wouldve drawn a little heart next to each one, but It wouldve taken up at least 20 perfect of the page lol (exaggerating.) I didnt expect to actually draw much, but I was feeling good about it today.

i know im reposting this one specific image but its origin is something I wish to remember so im just gonna document it here

so this is from a whiteboard in the tf2 discord server, and I did not know what to draw. so I looked for random pictures on my phone, found an Emesis Blue picture, and started up. Except I couldn’t be as “stiff” in my art like I usually was, because following my personal process takes more time and this was just a silly goofy funny drawing time so I wanted to have as much time as possible.

So somehow, I broke free of the “stiff” process and let my mind draw what I thought was best/what was on the reference image. I just trusted my uhh,,, “special drawing force” to do its thing i guess idk how to describe it (my brain is having trouble translating its thoughts into understandable language; You will see this frequently).

it was really surreal and I want to do it again. i think I can learn some much needed things from doing it again. can someone tell me how to do it again? If you do I will love you forever

tl/dr i had a surreal experience drawing an insane German doctor by trusting the art intuition and letting my process go for a lil bit

Three Ships: hmmmm i feel like i think less abt ships now than i did a few years ago. That said,

Asa x Denji (Chainsaw Man manga) - ohhhhh my god its so good. this is mostly bc Asa is one of my favorite characters ever but their cringeboy x failgirl dynamic is peak. theres also the impending doom which totally wont happen if i look over here.

Anthy x Utena (Revolutionary Girl Utena) - the blueprint. i can't talk about them here this post would reach novella length. go watch Utena legitimately the best show ive ever seen.

Currently working on: I have several writing projects that are neat but are not getting finished, but primarily three things: 1) scifi project ive been working on since i was 15. I think ive managed to stay true to the original vision (star wars ripoff) while also making it somewhat good. 2) Newish high fantasy project born out of worldbuilding a four-gender system. I like how the magic system intertwines with gender i like the theme of cycles and how to break them, but ive still got a long way to go. 3) Long scifi short story about a clash of oppressive societies via toxic yuri. almost done!

Writing: I'm assuming this means completed. Several small things i don't care too much about, and one pretty good short story about a spaceship AI having a Transgender Moment (1 dead many injured)

Wow, it sure is late 2022!

A lot of things have happened since the last time we used this blog. We’ve actually been talking about booting this old thing back up for a while, but current events at twitter have really kicked us in the butt.

Here’s a quick list of whats new!:

We have a new project- introducing the UNTITLED FISHING GAME!

Introducing UNTITLED FISHING GAME!

A 2D fishing action-rpg about life after environmental destruction. Play as a fisherman turned monster hunter, fighting to survive and thrive in the era following the fall of man.

This is our newest project, and we’re very excited about it. Its currently in early alpha, and we’re running semi-regular online playtests on it over in our OFFICIAL DISCORD! (come hang out with us!)

As usual, we’re a queer team making queer games- and this time our project features a gay trans man main character.

At the point of writing, we’re aiming to finish a vertical slice and gauging publisher/funding interest. We’d like to publish this within the next year, but as of yet no definite release date has been planned. We maintain regular development updates on our Twitter, but because of recent events we’re looking for other platforms to get in touch with our audience.

This is definitely the project of ours that’s been getting the most attention media-wise... which brings us to my next point:

We’ve been in the news!

Norwegian state broadcast NRK reached out to us following an office visit from the minister of culture, expressing an interest in our point of view as queer developers making a queer game. This was originally supposed to just be an online article, but quickly turned into us also appearing on TV!

In this interview we talk about our new project, express the importance of representation in videogames, as well as have a little chat about our experiences as LGBT+ developers.

But wait! Whats that in the background of those pictures?

We have an office now!

We finally got around to joining Hamar Game Collective, a collection of Hamar, Norway-based game development companies in a shared office space! Here we’re surrounded by a star-studded cast of experienced industry folks with multiple titles under their belt. So far the experience has been lovely- and a bit intimidating!

We planned to set up office here as early as 2017, but various sticks were put in our wheels every time. Now they’re out, and we’re hopefully here to stay. The free access to meeting rooms, coffee, various showcasing opportunities and whiteboards have been especially nice. (I like drawing on the walls, it makes me feel like a caveman.)

ANTIDOTE - We made a RPG-styled critique of transgender healthcare in Norway!

A short 15 minute adventure game about a Hero on a quest to... buy an antidote? Playable in browser and on Windows!

This game was originally made for the YeetRiksenJam, a game jam arranged by the Norwegian queer developer social space Skeive Spillutviklere, in response to our country’s poor treatment of transgender patients. It later managed to land an article in Norwegian digital arts & media journal Subjekt.no!

Liquid State is back on ice...

After being rejected for funding multiple years in a row, we eventually ended up in a bit of a situation where we found ourselves extremely discouraged and weary. It ended up being a matter of necessity to switch project, to get some fresh air under our wings and keep the team alive. So far its worked very well, and it was probably the best decision we could have made, given our situation.

Liquid State will remain dormant for a bit, i’m afraid- which saddens us, as we know a lot of you were very much looking forward to this game. Rest assured, we see you- and we’re still making plans for this game! In fact, we frequently talk about it, and we’d love to come back to it at some point!

That’s about it from us for now! There’s of course more that’s happened between everything else, but this was just a post to quickly sum stuff up for the crowd that’s just around for Tumblr. Sort of like a ‘here’s what you need to know!’ type deal. Thanks for sticking around with us for so long, we really appreciate it! We’re hoping to do more posts here going ahead, should time allow it.

Some more Hello puppets headcannons

The not related post. like I said before it will take quite a long time to complete due to being busy thinking about our arguments and digging evidence + I am working on some drawings that I owed that got a bit delayed due to a wrist injury.

One of my friends asked me if @dolly-royal and I had more headcannons, so I am making more headcannons based on what I got from both games. I did ask her about her headcannons on a Tumblr ask, but it will take a bit since she doesn't enter the app as much as I do.

So, into the list of headcannons! (I apologize if some headcannons were repeated. I can't remember them all)

Owen identifies as an Aroace man, so he doesn't feel any romantic or sexual attraction towards anyone. This was something that didn't reflect on the puppets themselves (since there is evidence against if that translate into the puppets) I just don't think they got everything from Owen.

In show, Riley has always been the sarcastic type of character that will break it to you in the fun comedic way. Mortimer is usually the one that calms her down. This sorta happens in the game but it's less friendly

After the takeover, Mortimer ordered the handemen to clean up the studio to get rid of the cattle stuff (as humans are considered cattle ) that is not used to them. Nick was begrudgingly cleaning until he discovered some art books which help him develop his style.

Daisy suffers from Anxiety and most likely from multiple personality (as I think the game implies Owen developed too) so she has a hard time dealing with her danger alter ego until Riley helped her accept her. Now they are friends.

Although Daisy seems sweet and overly nice, Daisy feels a pressure to constantly be nice towards others out of fear of getting Mortimer's anger but also due to her steem issues believing no one will like her. Innerly Daisy is more of a wine aunt and actually curses. Danger represents Daisy's repressed feelings

Daisy tries to avoid conflict because she will not be nice and will prop have a rude attitude (Which is part of her real self ) + it estresses her out

My personal headcannon for Riley's sexuality is that she's a demiromantic ace (a bit of self inset since I'm also demiromantic but not an ace) but has no interest in relationships

Nick is very touch starve that he would melt into affection he receives. Mortimer refuses to be touch unless he lets you momentarily do so (prop just Riley, although is just to hold hands) Riley is quite touch starved but she gets overwhelmed by affection, so she doesn't let anyone approach her. Daisy will break your back and rips due to hugging so hard. She's a hugger

Daisy loves sewing as Riley taught her how. Now she makes tiny costumes for the pupidge and sock puppet rats because they might get cold :]

I think this was established and confirmed by Andrew (main writer of both games) on the official discord server, but Riley has a personal hosts of her own to do work but uses Rosco as a method of transportation because she takes bonding with the good boi very seriously

In the human world /no game (heavily inspired by Delly's works) Mortimer and Riley spent some time reading together and they sometimes hold hands for closure. (Up to your interpretation, I intend this as a cute platonic thing)

When discussing plans, Riley excitedly listens to what Mortimer has to say. Nick is bored and Daisy is prop staring blankly at the whiteboard. Riley is the only one that makes suggestions and cares for the plans

Riley is actually a very neat and organized person when it comes to her labs only, she tends to be a bit careless when she experiments outside the labs

Nick tends to not care about messes since it's artistic value and Daisy insists on cleaning after everyone much to Rileys irritation.

Nick as much as he's a hopeless romantic and an over the top romantic type man/puppet he still have some momments of being slightly a perv (just an itty bitty it. Like a miniscule atom) after discovering some magazines before burning them away after realizing what they were. He felt so bad but the damage is done and now he has a slightly blush in rare occasions by thanks to that.

The puppets got their books from hosts they captured, so that's sorta why Riley got the "Lord of the Rings" books. The puppets figured a way to decodify the human language (just some know how to translate it) Daisy got the hoeswife magazines, we all know Nick is the one who owns the romance books. Riley has science fiction and research papers. Mortimer owns a collection of history books and Machiavelli's the prince (Phantom will never let go the fact that they had to read the damned book! She hates it so much lol. PS. : I use she/they pronouns)

Taking from the previous Headcannon. Mortimer spends some time with Riley translating the history books as she's the most proficient in reading and translating the host written language. They go into long discussions and lectures over what they are reading.

Machiavelli and history where some things that helped Mortimer get ahold the idea of Kings and ruling. He also reads psychology books and Shakespeare. He also read animal because I also love animal farm xd (I really wanna read 1984)

I've said it once and I'll say it again, tubbo is the best at interacting with fans :'D he makes these minecraft servers to play with them and leaves them up, goes and draws with them in the whiteboard art things, talks to them constantly in the offline chat and discord, etc. his relationship with his mods and vips is super sweet too, like he actively talks at them during streams or mentions them and it's super cool, I honestly don't think I know of a streamer who is this close to such a big amount of his fandom, and yes, other streamers may have more viewers or subscribers or popularity, but I feel like none of them have such a good relationship as tubbo does with his core audience, you can tell that they are some of the coolest ones out there and their love for the kid is the most genuine ;–;

Not to mention he’s able to stop the parasocial relationships that other ccs with good relationships with their fans have, like Dream
