Why....why are the sweaters 3/4 sleeve??? Personally I would totally get a black sweater (or white tbh) but I can't vibe with a 3/4 sleeve (for a few reasons, mostly various sensory/attention problems) so i was wondering why that choice was made and whether there's any chance of a full length sleeve being made in addition or instead? But also I'm curious as to exactly what kind of fabric it is? Is it an anti-pill material? (Pilling is one of my fabric enemies)
so first off, this as is about the lace collar sweaters that will be hitting the store later this year. you can watch the full video here, but i’m including screenshots as well for those of y’all who don’t want to watch the video.
2nd, i get that everyone has personal preferences, but this was unnecessarily rude. you’re not going to like every decision we make, and that’s OK, but if you’re old enough to use a credit card to buy things online, you’re old enough to realize that product decisions you dislike were not made to personally gall you.
there were a few reasons we chose to do 3/4 sleeves, but the primary reason was that 3/4 sleeves work better for a variety of arm lengths. a 3/4 sleeve will look good whether someone’s arm is shorter or longer than average, whereas a full length sleeve can easily be too long or too short for the person wearing it. we also didn’t want to do short sleeves because at the time the only other shirt we had in production was the wrap top, which has short/cap sleeves.
we do have some full long sleeve shirts/sweaters in planning/in production that we have not shown off yet, but currently we do not have plans to make a long sleeve version of this particular sweater because we have no idea what sales will look like. if these sweaters sell well and there’s considerable customer demand, we’ll consider doing long sleeves. if these sweaters sell poorly they will not be returning to the store, period. we are a small business with limited funds and we cannot throw infinite money at the wall.
last, the fabric composition is 62% polyester, 33% viscose, 5% elastane. we tested a lot of fabrics for this sweater, and this was the only one that felt right. its appropriate thickness (not super thin, but not super thick, so that it can easily be layered under warmer garments or worn solo without causing you to overheat), the cute ribbing, and the texture/feeling (which don’t aggravate my textural sensitivities as an autistic person with very sensitive skin) were all just right.
we’ve also done a number of wash tests and did not encounter any issues with pilling. in general, if you take good care of our garments, that is not going to be an issue from our current manufacturer, who have demonstrated time and again that they prioritize quality labor and material that is made to last. the reason shein products fall apart isn’t because they’re made of polyester: it’s because the sewing is rushed and the fabric fibers are low quality and often have a looser knit or weave, which makes them more prone to damage/falling apart on a structural level.
as for pilling specifically, pilling is actually the fabric breaking. looser weaves/knits are more prone to breakage because they are more open and cheap fabrics are often made of looser weaves, which results in more pilling. but even a high quality material can pill under the right (or wrong) circumstances. when fiber is wet, similar to hair, it is more vulnerable to breakage, and washing machines with agitators (the big thing in the middle of some washers) are really really good at breaking your fibers, thus resulting in more pilling.
anyway tldr the sweaters shouldn’t have any pilling issues if you treat them right and full length sleeves are not likely to happen but are not totally impossible.

I miss you I miss talking to youu and I've been wondering what's your fashion style? I can take a guess and it's something along the lines of long sleeve shirts, formal style (cause you're a professional girlie) and sweatpants when you're at home cause you're practical like that. I might be wrong but this is how I pictured you 🫶🏻

You got it nearly right. My fashion style changed a lot when covid came. Now I don't give even the f****s I used to give. 🤣
I mostly wear clothes that allow me to both move and relax comfortably. Which in my case means leggings paired with dress. But don't think a fancy dress. It usually looks more like long t-shirt, or long hoodie, or long sweater. My favourite ones are with pockets. I swear I have like 10 such tops from Lidl (supermarket) so I'm really not focused on brands. 😂 My leggings are usually bright coloured or with patterns while the top dress is more subtle.
I wear a more fancy version to the office, too.
The top dress is usually along this lines:
I have exactly this dress and I love it, because it's got pockets. I love pockets on dresses and skirts! 😍 It's from Czech based online shop that is supplied by small manufacturers in Nepal and their work is ethical and they help local Nepali families and organizations (animal rescue ones, too). I love the bright coloured mandala patterns on black and I usually combine these with black leggings.
My sister makes fun of me for wearing leggings into bank office but my leggings are so nice that I got compliments on them from coworkers. 😂 Same applies to these dresses from Nepal. They are pretty loved by my coworkers.
So yeah! My home wear is very no-brand and my office wear is fair-trade. That's it. I rarely wear anything else these days. It's been ages I wore denim trousers and I used to wear it all the time until covid. 😂 I don't usually reveal much skin, not because of some morals or rules but more because I feel more comfortable being hugged by my clothes rather than by people 😂
So yeah! This is my fashion style. Nothing super extra, I don't really attrack attention on the streets but I don't need to impress anyone at this age. 😉

Baseball caps (hat hoop goes to 2.25" tall I think so low-detail is best)
T-shirts/sweaters (collar, pocket, sleeve, monogram, etc)
Pretty much any garment, really. If you're not sure, just ask! I don't think questions are annoying.
Wholesale/re-sale pricing: If you're requesting a wholesale quote, I'll need to have you fill out a re-sale info form for tax purposes. I have a low MOQ. My price sheet is under construction but I'm happy to answer questions about pricing via email! Please have at least a rough sketch of your design, or if it's a regular shape (circular, square, rectangular, etc) please have the dimensions ready.
MOQ is determined based on the size of the patch and how many can fit in one of my large hoops. Basically just however many will reduce waste fabric. I can't do discounts based on super high quantity. Manufacturers can do that because they have a huge machine that can stitch several things at once. I only have one machine.

You Introduce Steve Rogers To Ordering From Amazon
-Steve Rogers grew up in the 1920's through the 1940's.
-He has never heard of Amazon.
-He asks you what it is when he sees the box that was dropped off at the Avengers Tower one day.
-The box has your name and address on it.
-You are living at the Tower because Tony joked that you're there so often, that you live there.
-Tony arranged for you to have an apartment there, seeing that as you're Tony's receptionist, and are pretty much both Tony's and Pepper's assistant.
-You open the box and see that it has the sweater in the color that you ordered, the long-sleeved tees that you ordered, the knitting needle set that you ordered, the yarn, and the necklace that you ordered.
-You and Steve have been dating for a few months, and Steve is curious about this.
"What's Amazon?" Steve asks.
-You explain that Amazon is an e-commerce site.
-Steve is still confused.
"You mean it's a catalogue?" asks Steve.
"It's kind of, but it's online," you explain.

-You explain that express shipping is when you need the package within twenty-four to forty-eight hours, and that standard shipping will take three days or longer.
-Steve is taken aback by the time amount.
-"You had to wait 6-8 weeks for your order," says Steve.
-"Thanks to improvements is shipping, and improvements in manufacturing, and improvements in technology, shipping doesn't take as long as it used to.", you explain.
-A few days later, Steve's package arrives.
-He's excited because it arrived on the day it was supposed to.

Put away a bit more laundry today, including the sweaters in a doesn’t-fit-under-the-bed bin. Those bins really suck, considering that I need to put my bed frame on risers for them to fit.
Had to take a break, after bending over for so long. I read “Meet Kit” from the American Girl book series - one of the books I bought from the library last year. It was like 64 pages, so it went by quick.
After recovering, I dug out Oriole (Tonner “Model Behavior” Olivia Chase) and redressed her and some other dolls. I can’t remember the last time I redressed dolls. Maybe a year ago? Last August? Idk. Had good and bad feelings about it. Definitely re-sparked my interest in 1-6 scale knits.
Complaints about Oriole below the cut:
I hate that her head has the “hook” side of hook-and-loop tape (aka velcro). Wigged dolls are so good for redressing, because you don’t have to worry about their hair as you change ‘em. But the velcro dot keeps snagging on fabric, defeating the purpose.
Guess I’ll have to get those little silicone dots or a silicone wig cap. Gotta remove the bits attached to the head, at the very least.
The purple Create-a-Monster wig (with peg snipped) fits her nicely, even with the velcro dots. This doll is shaped more realistically, so her head seems tiny and her body seems masculine (muscle-y?). She lacks the grace that the Antoinette and Chic bodies had. Even the Deja Vu body, as awkward as it can be to hold poses, is more favorable to me. I think it’s the arms/hands and width of the shoulders that I throw me off.
There’s also a rubbery “underwear”-shaped sleeve over her hips. I don’t remember what others have remarked about it, other than it being odd. There was worry of staining, I think. I’m debating whether or not to cut it off, and how badly I want to destroy it in the process.
The manufacturer wrote on the back of the doll with a marker, which is weird. Back of the head and back of the neck. It doesn’t seem like an artist’s signature. Has this happened with other examples of the newer Tonners? If so, then the Ryan Roche dolls would have the same marks. (I know I saw someone on tumblr with a Ryan Roche doll, but the skintone might be too dark to notice the marker.)
This is literally the 2nd time I’ve taken her out of the box, since I got her last year. It’ll take some time for her to grow on me. I already have strong preferences/opinions on what I like about doll aesthetics and sculpting.
Taking the hyper-empathy interpretation, we’re probably not meshing well, because she’s mad at me for leaving her in the box for so long. That or because I keep giggling at her tiny head. The vibe felt better towards the end of my dressing session with her today. So that gives me hope that we’ll “get along” better later.

///Here's a bedroom/living space headcanon I pulled from my old blog that still applies here. added some newer stuff at the end.
Danny’s bedroom in canon is very bland and simple, very much the fault of the show itself being very simple. (which isn’t a bad idea, its smart from the artists' side of things.) As for the canon of my blog, Danny’s room changes constantly due to it being trashed and reduced to ruin and rubble on a regular basis. You know, from ghost related reasons.
Danny always redecorates in ways to really show what he likes and what he’s about. Paints the walls in dark night sky colors and simulates starry skies with a combination of glow in the dark paint, decals, white holiday lights, and hanging star and planet shaped lights at several points on his ceiling.
He covers his walls in posters of his favorite games, bands, and movies. Constellation photos, pictures of his friends and family, and certain holiday get together photos also litter his walls and shelves.
Sometimes his bed is relatively simple but always is covered in galaxy print blankets and pillows. Also strewn about the room and on his bed are various stuffed toys and plushes. Other times his bed is in the style of a loft bunk bed with a desk underneath it.
Despite the show almost never giving Danny variety in clothing, Danny’s closet and dresser are filled with several comfortable and casual clothes of different styles and prints. Hoodies, sweaters, V-neck T-shirts, long sleeved shirts, jackets and more. A lot of space themed designs, alien themed prints, puns, and ghost themes on them as well.
He’ll wear jeans, shorts, cargo pants, yoga pants– pretty much anything comfortable. And though all those clothes go in the closet and dresser— they’re often occupying floor space instead. Danny also has several jackets/hoodies hanging on his door and the closet door, all of which have pins with various puns, ghost, and space designs on them.
I also like the idea of Danny collecting plushies and other things with manufacturing errors. like a teddie or beanie baby that has an eye slightly too low. or with a missing leg. partially because it helps give a reason to the infamous backpack with straps on both sides. but also because his room gets destroyed so often im sure its just easier to buy cheaper stuff with errors on them to replace some of the stuff.

Danny also has a desk which is either under the loft bed or in an easy to get to placement in the room. The desk has a PC on it and a drawing tablet set to the side. Some various homework and school related books, stationary, pens/pencils, and papers stacked up in corners on the desk or in it's drawers as well. Along with at least one or two audio recording devices also placed somewhere on it.
In another corner of the room, Danny has his digital piano/synthesizer keyboard set up with other audio recording things attached to or near it. A guitar sits to the side of this equipment too, Danny having started learning it.
There is also always a TV and gaming set up across from Danny's bed. With a couple pouf chairs in front of it. To the side of this set up, is Danny's knitting, friendship bracelet, and needle point supplies.
In his closet there are boxes with comic books, model and figure building/painting sets, his portable telescope, and more clothes.
For some clairification on the types of clothes he wears. Danny being transmasc, actively avoids things like dresses and skirts. But he's fine with women's pants/shirts. And doesn't associate colors with gender either. He has a variety of things that are in softer colors like pinks or pastel purples and blues. And even is fine with cute prints, patterns, and designs on the clothes.

Character Intro: Hypnos (Kingdom of Ichor)

Age- 18 (immortal)
Location- The Underworld
Personality- Hypnos is very laid back and calm for the most part, rarely losing his temper or getting angry. He speaks in a soft nonchalant tone. He does have a tendency to be lazy and not take an initiative on things at times, but the things (and people) that are important to him have his undivided attention. He's in a relationship.
Being the god of sleep, his powers/abilities include the power to shapeshift into any form he chooses, abstract or not, memory alteration/retrieval, the power of invisibility, and dream travel. He also has the power of flight, due to his shimmering dark blue wings that sprout from either side of his head. He also has the power of hypnokinesis, being able to create/control poppies, inducing narcolepsy & insomnia in others, communicating with spirits, and shadow manipulation. His natural scent is of fresh laundry & warm milk.
He's one of the middle children of Nyx (goddess of the night) and Erebus (god of darkness).
Hypnos lives in a mansion just a few miles away from his twin brother Thanatos (god of death). The front door is made out of Stygian Iron, with a wreath of red poppies on it. Inside, the color scheme is gray, silver, light blue, and black. There’s lots of comfy, soft, & plush furniture. There’s loads of fluffy pillows and warm quilts on his bed.
He loves his family very much and is really close to his younger brother Aether (god of the upper atmosphere, celestial bodies, & heavenly light). Hypnos barely remembers catching a glimpse of his eldest brother Nosos (god of illness, plague, & disease) a few years ago.
In the band Death Theater, Hypnos plays the synth keyboard & does background vocals. Unrelated, he can also play the violin, cello, and clarinet.
Hypnos is the only one (aside from Hemera) in his family that doesn't mind traveling from the Underworld to Olympius. He has a generally warm reception by the people of Olympius. They often thank him for the peaceful dreams he provides.
He's really good friends with Hades (god of the dead), Lykos (goddess of wolves), Hecate (goddess of magic & witchcraft), Ailuros (goddess of cats & warfare), Hermes, Aphrodite (goddess of love & beauty), Urso (god of bears), Apollo (god of the sun, music, poetry, healing, medicine, archery, plague, light, & knowledge) and Artemis (goddess of the hunt & moon). He’s also cool with Aergia (goddess of sloth, laziness, & idleness) and Paregoros (goddess of soothing words).
He used to have a crush on Selene (Titaness of the moon).
Hypnos regrets helping Hera one time to "teach" Zeus a lesson. Let's just say, it didn't end well.
Hypnos owns a chain of mattress stores throughout Olympius as well as a company that manufactures various sleep aids like melatonin patches & sleep sound machines. He also sells his own merch which includes T-shirts, eye masks, hats, sweaters, key chains, full body pajamas, & phone cases! He also grows his own strain of weed- made with Underworld poppies & laced with black opium.
He’s fond of wearing slouchy jeans, oversized T-shirts, and long sleeve sweaters! He once came into work wearing a full pajama suit, much to Hades’ shock!
Hypnos wears his thick curly hair as a fro. He uses the Glory's Crown shea butter, shamppo, conditioner, deep conditioner and the coconut milk curling custard.
His favorite meal is ribs & brisket, slathered with a special bourbon based barbeque sauce (his father Erebus guards the special recipe closely). Hypnos eats it with his mom's green bean casserole.
He loves the chocolate chip cookies from Hollyhock's Bakery!
Hypnos' go-to drink is a hot chocolate (says his mom makes the best, flavored with cinnamon and spiced rum). He also likes cola, ginger ale, the large black iced tea from The Roasted Bean, as well as the chamomile tea his girlfriend brews.
In his free time, he's quite fond of taking naps! Hypnos also enjoys reading, yoga, going to the spa, cloud surfing, watching TV, watching movies, listening to music, and has even enjoyed knitting & sewing (after being a part of The Moirai’s knitting/sewing group).
Hypnos has been dating Pasithea (goddess of hallucinations & relaxation) for a few months. They first met at an annual Summer Solstice Music Festival. He got up the courage to ask her out on Fatestagram and their first date was at a spa. He hasn't introduced her to his parents or his other siblings (aside from Thanatos). Hypnos has met her mother Nárkosi (goddess of sedation).

to keep / to be kept
A sort of prequel one-shot to Transfer of Energy. Written as part of a play through of a solo journaling TTRPG called The Things That Keep Us.
1. hand
It is dark.
And then it isn't.
Your face is the first thing I see, your eyes flicking over my form, you gathering me up in your hands. You wear a sweater similar to me, machine manufactured, a darker green, missing the patch I bear.
A voice I recognize from soft humming as my stitches came into being: "You don't have to take it. I know you have the regulation one but I heard you comment that it makes you itch so--"
"Thank you, Commander," you say. Your voice is careful. they nod, curt all of a sudden, and excuse themselves from your room. Once they're gone, you pull off the regulation sweater and pull me over your head. I settle onto you.
You tuck your shirt ends under mine and smooth out things out. You look measured and confident as you briefly pass a mirror in the small room on the way out after the Commander.
You linger there, thumbing the end of one of my sleeves. Hello, you think.
I don't understand.
You smile sheepishly. It's okay, you say. You don't have to talk back. Or…get that I'm talking to you.
Talking. Like how the Commander would to me, in my creation. I see.
I do not speak, but I mirror back what I hope is correct -- a warm fuzzy thing that Commander stitched into me. I think it is called love.
Your face twists something unreadable, you swallow hard, compose yourself, and leave the room.
I have not seen much of this world; mostly I have seen their face, staring down with a soft expression as they work, murmuring quiet things. Now I see long hallways, a spinning globe that's there but isn't, a room with a giant video conference screen.
Someone complements me.
"It was a gift," you say.
I don't know what a gift is, but I like the sound of that.

2. overflowing jar
You are celebrating.
I do not understand what, but you brush shoulders with your fellow humans, drinking a liquid that smells strongly and excitedly talking amongst yourselves and occasionally in your head to me.
Something about a 'base', about 'aliens'. You are happy, and that is enough. I radiate as much-- if you are content, so I am. Something about this makes you laugh. I don't understand, but the sound is nice and I'm proud to have drawn it from you.
When you retire, late in the evening, it is not to your room. You trot into small stuffy quarters I recognize vaguely after the Commander.
One of you turns on a radio. Quiet music fills the room and you grasp hands with them as you begin to gently move back and forth together.
Eventually, I am stripped off, set on the back of an office chair with the rest of your clothes, and you two fall into each other.
I am not sure what you're doing, with your heavy breaths and wandering hands, but you are happy, and my creator is happy too, so it's okay.
It's all okay.

3. fire
When the fall comes, it comes fast and heavy, collapsing hallways and igniting fires, you barely dodging the swing of a fire extinguisher at your head by a fellow human.
You're skidding on the blood of your fellow humans now as you run back toward the command room. You stop in the doorway, as a large beast -- a alien? -- stands in the room, over the prone bleeding form of the Commander.
The Commander manages to lift their head, looks toward you. "I love you!"
Your breath catches. You make to call it back to them, fumble for your pistol--
The beast roars at you as it gathers up the Commander in its arms. You shrink back, not risking a shot at it, backpedaling down the hall. The crack of a plasma weapon goes off behind you.
You howl in agony and I ache, the smell of burning fabric and flesh mingling together. You paw at the new bubbling plasma burn on your shoulder, trying in vain to stop the bleeding, face screwing up in pain.
I am giving you as much of myself as I can, transmitting love and comfort and it will be ok you will be okay in the wordless way of my kind. I don't know if you are in tune enough to hear me, to receive, but I do this anyway.
Your earpiece crackles.
"Central!"
The older man, Shen. He's asking if you're okay, where you are, what about the Commander.
You're partway through a response when you drop to your knees. I do not understand why exactly but I sense something has pushed you to the floor of yourself, and has overwhelmed your senses. Like the other humans, like the one who attacked you. I hear you struggling--
Whatever it is that is invading your head hisses, I hear it hiss, and wins.

4. darkness
The world is dark.
I am pulled from you, but you, barely there, resist-- lashing out tooth and nail, huffing and growling and biting.
You put up such a fight they bring in one of the big bug eyed creatures that eases you back down into nothing. The last I see of you is panicked big eyes and a hand grasping back toward me.
For a while I am put away in a corner and forgotten. I do not know how much time passes, only that it does.
Then--
Inhuman hands pick me up, push me under bright lights. They poke me with instruments I don't know the names of, prod at me with their fingers and other appendages.
They must find something, because they take me and place into a new, almost closet like place. A tank.
And in this place, that pulses with energy I have never known, in this place I -- the me that I am -- blooms.

5. grave
It's been a long time.
I have figured out so much, and still know so little. I understand now what I am, who you are, the aliens and what has happened. I remember.
I do not expect to see you again.
But then. One day. Outside of me I sense you, weary and older but still the same human I was given to all those years ago, and I perk up.
I react; I feel the energy swirl around me and radiate out-- I'm here I'm here I'm here, and so are you. It has to be you. It can't be anyone else.
The tank opens.
And you are there.
You are older now-- your face sports a shadow, a scar, a cynicism. You carry a big gun, and there are other humans with you, also armed. But I don't really care about them.
I see you, and you see me, and you reach up, take me gently into your hands. Your eyes are soft and fond.
You murmur a quiet, quiet hello.
I am so excited I can't speak, but I can mirror back the feeling of greeting, hello hello hello, 1000 fold!
Your smile reaches your eyes.
Hello, hello, hello! How wonderful to be together again! I pulse with the swell of emotion, I radiate it out to you. Joy! Love! Love! Joy!
We are together again.

6. seed
We sit in the dark.
You hold me in your lap. Your hands roam around my surface, picking debris from my stitches.
hello, I say. It is my first word. Hello.
Finally you speak: "Hi?"
You're confused. That's okay. I'm confused a lot too. I sense more than that from you though, a dizzying array of emotion and thought.
you’re still sad.
“I’m sorry?"
I ooze-- pity, sadness, because I see it now. I understand. You're hurting.
you still miss something, I say. A pause. someone.
“How are you doing this?" you ask.
I impart what I can-- a sense of the psionic energy wrapped around me, fostering myself and my mind and allowing me to rise to the level of you.
I say, i missed you.
You reflect the feelings back, and I am enamored. You have never done that before. Did you learn to do that?
Another question burns brighter, I transmit another image the Commander, at your door in HQ, me in their hands. you didn’t find them? I ask.
You swallow, fumble for what turns out to be a flask. "Not yet,” you manage around a mouthful of drink.
I am confused but only briefly. Your free hand squeezes a palmful of me tightly. but you will, I say.
“Thanks for the note of encouragement.” You pause. “Do you... know anything?” Your voice shakes a little in the middle.
Do I?
I remember being separated, I remember being poked and prodded, I remember being put away, but I know nothing about the Commander.
no.
You take another drink from the flask. “I guess I shouldn’t have hoped for anything else.”
hope is good. you are good.
You hmm at that.
I am tired of talking. I push out the want to he worn, to do what is best known to me. You understand, wriggle into me. I hug tighter than I used to. Good, I think. That's good.
it’s going to be ok, I say.
“You can’t promise me that,” you answer, lying down down, staring up at the ceiling as you pass the flask between your hands, back and forth and back and forth.
There is a long silence.
Then: they love you, I say. i love you, I repeat, but in their voice, and now you are crying, wiping away your tears on my sleeves.
You stiffen then, are lost to me--
breathe.
You take a shuddering breath. I cling tighter to you. breathe, I say again.
“But I got you back,” you say, and I have missed some context but I can out together enough to understand. You got me back. You can get them back too. I believe in you. You can.
We fall quiet together, save my occasional ripple burst of emotion to you -- love and love and love and love. It's the only thing I need to say.
And when you fall asleep, me still on your form, I chase the dark away.
