Logan didn’t know you being a shapeshifter would’ve come into play like this.
You’re on all fours, head pressed into the mattress of his bed as he stands behind you.
His hips are fast moving as he fucks into you, his hands bruising your hips as he holds you in place.
“Fuck, Lo,” you moan, voice trembling from the exertion it takes to let him fuck you like this. Your ears are floppy as you jerk with each thrust, your body spent from the numerous orgasms he’d pulled from you.
“Gimme one more, bun.” He grunts, sweat dripping down his chest as he tries hard not to come yet.
Logan’s hand slips down, from your hip to your lower back and before you can register the movement, you feel his hand brushing the fluff of your tail.
Instinctively you groan, leaning away from his touch as your body jerks from the stimulation.
Behind you, Logan smirks. “That feel good?” He asks, not even sounding breathless as his cock pistons in and out of your sopping cunt.
“Please,” you whine, eyes rolling back as he does it again; his hands pulling and tugging at the fur making your body buzz. “I’m gonna come.” You warn, voice wavering as tears pool in your eyes when his hips speed up.
“Come on bunny, let me feel you.” That and the flick of your tail has you screaming, your orgasm ripping through you like hot fire.
Your body can’t stop twitching even as Logan fills you up. It takes a while for him to move, hands stroking down the length of your back while he waits for your breathing to even out.
“Didn’t know you liked that, princess.” He coos as he pulls out, laying you on your side so there’s no pressure in your tail.
You look up at him with dazed eyes. They barely focus on him before he’s moving, picking up a washcloth to clean you up.
“Didn’t know either,” your thighs tremble at the pressure of him cleaning between them. “Felt really good.”
Logan smirks, snapping his boxers into place before crawling over you. “I’ll keep it in mind, sweet thing” his kisses are stubbly but you preen for them as he begins aftercare.

LOGAN HOWLETT - BABYSITTING GONE WRONG
You killed her! It’s your fault! Murderer! You fucking sick freak! I hate you!
Y/N opened her eyes and caught her breath. It happened again. This week, it was the third nightmare she experienced. Her mother’s face kept appearing in the dream, screaming at her. The voice, even the eyes, haunted her, filled with wrath and hatred.
She turned to face the clock. It was 7:04 in the morning. Her forehead was sweaty, as well as the rest of her body. This nightmare was worse than before. It felt real. In her dream, Y/N’s mother held her forearm tightly. Even now, the touch on her body burnt. Y/N had to look at her left forearm just to be sure no one was holding her there. Her mind was playing tricks on her.
When will you stop haunting me?
The first week of her being a teacher was almost over. So far, it was fun. The classes went smoothly. The students accepted her as a teacher. It turned out the teaching kept her sane.
After a quick shower and changing clothes, she took her textbooks and headed downstairs to the kitchen. The hallways were empty. However, she could hear the kids from their dorms getting ready.
When she arrived in the kitchen, she was met with fresh coffee. Some pure soul made a pot of it. She grabbed a mug and poured some into it. This was an ideal way to start a new day. She took a seat on a barstool at the counter. Y/N went through the textbooks to prepare for her first lesson of the day.
“Well, aren’t ya an early bird,” Logan’s voice startled her.
Y/N almost choked on her coffee. She coughed a few times, then looked at the man. “If you want to choke me, just use your hand,” she frowned at him. It took her a minute to breathe normally.
Logan’s lips turned into a devilish smile. “Is that right, princess?” and he wiggled his eyebrows. “Good to know for the future. By the way, why are you up so early? Don’t you have a class at nine?” he changed the topic.
“Couldn’t sleep,” she looked down at the textbooks again.
Logan walked to the counter and leaned against it. He took a deep breath. He could smell the coconut shampoo radiating from her, even her natural scent. “I heard you, you know? I know you have nightmares, Y/N.”
“Don’t we all?” she sighed. “It’s nothing. It’ll go away.”
“You can talk to me, you know?” Logan reached his hand and put it under her chin to lift her head. “You don’t have to face it alone.”
“Thanks,” her eyes found his.
Logan heard the sound of the wheelchair. He let go of Y/N’s chin and leaned back. His eyes never left her face, not even when Charles wheeled in, already dressed in a suit. This time, it was grey with a black tie.
“Ah, just the two people I need,” he said, smiling. “I am going to need a favour from you two.” Y/N’s eyes moved to the Professor, and Logan faced him. “As you know, Jean and Scott are still away with Remy and Hank. Bobby asked for a weekend away with Kitty. Kurt is leaving for Germany. I will take Peter, Ororo and Rogue to Washington again.”
“More trouble?” Y/N asked.
Charles shook his head. “The situation has calmed down a bit. However, I need to find more information about Trask Industries. I believe they are creating a weapon that could potentially destroy us.”
“Shit,” Logan mumbled.
“That is why I need you to stay here,” said Charles.
“Ah, you want us to babysit, is that right?” Logan rolled his eyes. “What about Colossus?”
“He’ll be here with you, of course. I talked to him last night.”
“When are you leaving?” Y/N asked.
“This afternoon. We should be back on Sunday.”
Charles left them alone in the kitchen. Logan turned back to Y/N and raised one brow. “It seems you won’t get rid of me that easily.”
“I am one lucky gal,” she teased. “So, is this babysitting like it means? We will keep an eye on the kids. We make sure they are in bed at a reasonable hour?”
“Sounds about right,” Logan nodded. “Don’t plan on having a big party tonight.”
She tilted her head. “Why? You don’t like watching children have some fun? Or is it because my attention is on them, not you?” She stood up and cleaned the mug after she was done. Before she left, she brushed past him. “If you want my attention, just ask.”
Logan smirked, eyes resting on her back. Slowly, they fell down, checking out her ass per usual. Who would have thought that he would be crushing bad on this woman? He saved her a while back, and now, they had this unspoken thing between them. She was attractive and witty. Y/N brought something into his life. She made him feel something he hadn’t felt in years.
Fuck, he thought and fixed his pants. Suddenly, they felt tighter than before. It was eight in the morning. It was bad timing to have an erection. Logan swiftly left the kitchen and headed back to his room.
As the day went by, Y/N realised her mind had been preoccupied by a certain someone. The desire that she had was intense. She kept thinking about his eyes, lips, and those hands caressing her body. In a way, it was funny. She was falling for the man who saved her ass.
My knight in shining armour.
“Miss Y/L/N?” someone said her name. “Are you okay?” It was one of the students asking.
Y/N blinked a few times. Her mind got quickly lost in a world of daydreaming. “I’m sorry,” she cleared her throat. “I was just thinking about your next assignment,” she said. The collective sigh made her laugh. “Don’t worry. I won’t give you any writing assignments now. However, I want you to read The Great Gatsby by the end of the next week.”
Some of the boys were annoyed. It was evident that reading was not their favourite activity. There were whispers around the classroom. Y/N frowned at them. “Please, silence. I don’t want to hear another word. You are only reading a book. If you keep complaining to your classmates, I will give you something to write about.” And then everyone silenced.
The classes with the oldest students were difficult. Their hormones were all over the place, their behaviour was atrocious, and the boys had a problem respecting everyone, even the teacher.
At the end of the school day, Y/N was walking through the hallway when a clothed arm wrapped around her shoulder. It brought her back to reality from her constant daydreaming. She glanced at the person, only to find Rogue grinning. “I’ve heard you and Logan will be babysitting the kids.”
“With Colossus,” Y/N added.
“That’s a minor detail,” she chuckled. “You have the perfect opportunity to make a move. You’ll have the night to yourselves.”
Y/N frowned. “What the hell are you talking about, Ro’?” Y/N knew damn well where she was going with it. And yet she pretended to be dumb.
“Come on,” Rogue bumped her hip against Y/N’s. “I see how you two behave to each other. Everyone sees that - the teasing, the bantering and shit. In my eyes, you’d be a perfect power couple. I think you should make a move.”
Y/N rolled her eyes. Yes, Logan and Y/N had a playful banter going on. However, she didn’t think he felt anything more towards her. He saved her and gave her a second chance. He kept his promise. That was about it. A man like him would never want a girl like her. They knew each other only for two months.
“Shouldn’t you be packing for the weekend?” Y/N asked Rogue. She needed to change the topic. “You should take something sexy with you. You’ll be reunited with Remy. You’ll be the one spending a hot, sexy night with your man.”
The young woman sighed, defeated. “Why can’t you see that he likes you, too?” She had decided to omit that part about Remy.
“Rogue,” Y/N warned her. “I don’t want to talk about it. In fact, there is nothing to talk about. You should pack and get ready.”
“This isn’t over. We will discuss this once I’m back,” Rogue threatened with a finger.
Y/N walked up the stairs. She wanted to change her clothes into something more comfortable. The school day was over. There was no need to dress fancy. She thought about practising her forcefields. Y/N got better at creating two separate force fields at the same time. After they saved JJ, where she protected another person for the first time, she knew how to do it whenever she wanted.
Storm usually practised with her. They tried using lighting to get through the force fields. Luckily, they were resistant. It didn’t even drain Y/N’s energy. It was fascinating.
Y/N stretched her neck and scratched her nape. There was a foreign feeling lingering somewhere inside her mind. She couldn’t define what it was.
As she passed the second level, she was stopped by Logan again. He grabbed her by the wrist. “We meet again, princess.”
She made a funny yet annoyed face. “For a princess, you aren’t treating me like one,” she said. “How can I help you, kind sir?”
“Wanna have a beer with me tonight?” he asked.
“Aren’t we supposed to be babysitting the kids?” she raised a brow, smirking. “We can’t leave the school and head to the bar. Colossus will kill us.”
“Rules are meant to be broken,” he made a smug face. “Don’t worry, kid. I have my secret stash here. We can enjoy one after they are in their rooms, asleep.”
“Secret stash, you say?” That piqued her interest. “Very well. I’ll see you tonight.”
His eyes followed her as she continued up the stairs. “What are you up to now?”
She shrugged, thinking. “I don’t know. I might do some training, maybe read a book,” she said. “I’ll see you later, Logan.”
. . .
Y/N was on edge the whole evening. She didn’t know why. The feeling came gradually. At first, she thought she had forgotten to do something. Then, she observed the students, trying to figure out if they did something wrong. Y/N concluded that the feeling she had signified cautiousness. Otherwise, the time she had spent with the kids was fun.
They all gathered in a lounge room where they talked and laughed. Colossus joined them. He listened to their stories and amusing memories. Colossus even chimed in about his memories. The kids laughed, which only made him smile.
Logan kept his distance and observed from afar here and there. He didn’t join the talk, even when he noticed Y/N’s pleading look. He leaned against the wall, arms crossed, while listening to the shared stories.
Overall, it was a pleasant Friday evening with the students. By ten in the evening, they were all in their rooms. Y/N walked through the hallways, checking if everyone settled down for the night. Even Colossus headed to bed, saying how exhausted he was.
Once Y/N was sure everyone was in their room, she headed downstairs into the kitchen. Her neck was sore after the long day. She stretched her head to every side, trying to find relief. When Y/N entered the kitchen, Logan sat behind a counter with two beer bottles. He was wearing a red flannel shirt and a white tank top.
That fucker.
The man eyed her from head to toe, trying not to stare much. Did she want to kill him with that outfit? She wore denim shorts and a loose T-shirt. “Fucking finally,” said Logan after he cleared his throat. “Were you avoiding me, princess?” he kinked a brow.
“You think so low of me,” she said and sat on a barstool next to him. “Because you had decided to disappear and Colossus was tired, I had to ensure the students were in their rooms.” She grabbed a bottle. It was cold. Quickly, she pressed it against her neck and moaned a little.
“You okay?” he asked, taking a swig.
“I don’t know,” she said. “Something feels off. Also, my neck hurts.” She drank straight from the bottle, enjoying the cold beverage.
Without thinking, Logan reached for her neck. His fingers pressed into her skin. When he realised what he had done, it was too late. Luckily, Y/N closed her eyes and sighed with pleasure. If she were a cat, she’d purr. Her lips were slightly parted. She enjoyed the touch. Once he was done, he asked, “Better?”
“Damn, I’d hire you as a full-time personal masseuse,” she joked. When she looked at him, her eyes met his. A shiver ran down her spine. “Tell me, what do you do when you are asked to babysit the students?”
“Before you came, I’d have a drink and head to bed. When Bobby was a student, there were nights when we would talk here in the kitchen. The kids here know what they aren’t allowed to do. When we ask them to remain in rooms, they will listen,” he explained.
A tiny smile appeared on Y/N’s face. Her eyes moved to the beer bottle, where she scanned the label. “By the way, JJ loves lessons with you,” she changed the topic. “He loves history and says you are awesome.”
“He said that?” Logan seem surprised. “I like that kid.”
Y/N pressed two fingers between the bridge of her nose, frowning. A long sigh escaped her lips. “Shit, I can’t figure out what’s wrong today.”
“What do you mean?”
“Ah,” she leaned against her arms, eyes closed. “Do you have that feeling, somewhere deep inside, when you know that something’s not right?” When Logan confirmed, she continued. “I have had this feeling since this afternoon. My gut is calling to me, screaming something is off.”
“Is it the students? Have they said anything?” he asked. Logan wanted to help her figure it out.
She turned her head to look at him again. For a second, her eyes slipped to his lips. “I have crossed out every box in my head,” Y/N’s eyes were back on his. “The students are well. Jerome is happy,” she started to list it all out loud. “I have done everything that was required of me. I don’t know.”
“I think you are exhausted after this week. You’ve become a teacher. It might have taken a toll on you.” Logan’s voice was softer than usual. “Maybe it is rest that you need.”
“Maybe,” she said. Once she finished the drink, she stood up and walked to the kitchen counter. “I feel some exhaustion,” Y/N admitted. “I’m not convinced that’s it.” She reached for a glass and filled it with cold water. She faced the man and leaned against the counter when she drank the water. “I feel like something terrible is about to happen,” Y/N admitted.
Logan was immediately on his feet. He walked to Y/N, scanning her face. “What if you are overly anxious?” he asked carefully. “I believe you need to go to bed and rest. You had an intense week.”
“What if,” she said suddenly, “something’s heading towards us?”
His ears perked up at her comment. With a snap of fingers, Logan’s face hardened. “You think something dangerous could be coming our way?” He came closer to the woman, feeling her body heat radiating.
“Think about it,” Y/N’s eyes locked with his. “Charles took everyone to Washington. At this time, they are all already there. It would take them longer to get back here. It’s just the two of us and Colossus. What if…” she stopped talking.
A chill ran down Logan’s spine. The thought of them becoming targets again made him tense. In the past, he experienced attacks on school. It wouldn’t be anything new. And yet, it was terrifying.
“I don’t know,” Y/N shook her head. “I don’t want to think negatively and draw something to us. Or I’m just being paranoid.”
Logan smiled at her reassuringly. He put a hand on her left shoulder. “We’ll be alright. The school has a security system. Once it is triggered, the students know what to do and where to hide. If some sort of attack does occur, we will fight. Until then, let’s try not to worry about these hypothetical scenarios.”
“You are right,” she sighed for the hundredth time. “My mind is running thousands of miles an hour. Nothing’s going to happen. Let’s just enjoy this evening.”
A smile appeared on her face. Y/N wanted to say something more, but her mind went blank when she felt Logan’s hand move from her shoulder to her cheek, stroking it gently. His body was closer than usual. For a second, Y/N forgot how to breathe. There was a shift in the air. His gentle touch made her heat rise in her body. She was taken aback by it at all.
Logan’s touch was tender. His thumb kept stroking her skin lightly. The desire was rising on both sides. Neither of them tried to push away. There was something unspoken between them. It was there for some time. Maybe it was the right time to lean into it and explore.
Y/N thought that he would never feel the same way she did. In her mind, Logan saw her as someone he saved some time ago. But this showed her that he felt the same way. Her breath got caught in her throat. The air vibrated with an intensity of desire. The unspoken words between them became heavier.
Logan took a step forward. His body pressed lightly against her. His other hand found her waist, where he placed it lightly. It felt right. For some time, this was what he wanted, and now, he was only one move away from getting it.
“Logan,” she whispered, eyes never leaving his face. They moved from his eyes to his lips and back.
“Y/N,” he whispered back. Her name sounded so beautiful coming from his lips.
They were a breath away from each other. Neither of them were able to close the gap. It took them a few heartbeats before they both leaned it. This was the sign that they both wanted the same thing.
They met in the middle, lips pressing in their first kiss. There was no time to test the water. The first kiss was heated - all tongue and teeth. The passion ignited with a fiery intensity. Logan’s body fully pressed against Y/N’s. She could feel his semi-hard erection pressed against her lower belly.
Logan’s hands explored her body. One hand held her by the neck while the other travelled down to her ass that he squeezed. It made her groan into his mouth, which gave him better access to his tongue to explore her mouth. Y/N’s hands were pressed against his hard chest, gripping the white tank top.
Suddenly, he grabbed he by the waist and lifted her on the kitchen counter. Logan stepped between her legs, and she instantly wrapped them around his waist. The kiss never ended. They wanted more. Y/N’s hand gripped his hair and pulled on it, making him moan. Her other hands explored his chest and firm abs over that damn piece of clothing.
They lost themselves in a world of desire. Logan’s mouth left her lips only to explore her neck and collarbones. He couldn’t get enough of her. His right hand slipped under her t-shirt. The feeling of her soft skin was incredible. His fingers caressed the flesh under her breast.
“Fuck, princess,” he grunted when he caught a breath for a second. His lips were then back on her in another heated make-out session.
Y/N grabbed his unbuttoned flannel shirt and took it off him. It fell on the floor under his feet. Her mind was filled with his musky scent. She could smell the beer and a faint hint of cigars. However, it only made her want him more.
“Eager, aren’t we?” he asked with a laugh when he managed to pull away to look at her face. Her lips were a bit swollen from all the kissing.
“You are the one talking,” she said back. “If we want to continue this, I don’t think it’s wise to do it in the kitchen,” she raised a brow. “We don’t need a traumatised kid on our necks.”
Logan laughed at that. And then, his lips were on her again. This time, the kisses got softer. He took his time with each one he pressed against her lips. Their eyes closed. These kisses were different. They were filled with something new. It wasn’t hunger or desire. It was more intimate. As if they tried to tell they cared for each other.
Y/N’s fingers reached for his big belt. She started to fiddle with it when he stopped her. She raised a brow. Did she cross a line?
The kissing stopped. Logan turned his head to the side and listened. His ears could register sounds that a regular person wouldn’t hear, not even Y/N. His hand gripped her exposed thigh, and he looked into her gorgeous eyes. “Fuck. Helicopters,” he said.
“What?” she raised her voice, concerned. She turned her head to the window, trying to hear for herself. They were far away.
Logan pushed away from her and walked to the other side of the kitchen. Y/N’s gut warned them. “They knew we’d be here alone this night,” he mumbled under his nose. “It’s a trap!” He pressed a button that was hidden in a strategic place. It was a silent trigger. “Charles built a trigger system in every dorm. This will ensure everyone wakes up and heads to the tunnels.”
Y/N hopped off the counter. She wanted to ask about it, but there was no time. Logan reached for her hand, which she grabbed, and they left the kitchen running. “Oh no. My gut was right about this,” she groaned. “I called this upon us.”
When they arrived in the main hallway, they heard the students from the upper levels running around the hallways. Colossus’s deep voice was heard, too. He was giving the instructions to the students.
“There are strategic tunnels that will lead them out of the school and into a secure location,” Logan explained.
Y/N’s heart was beating fast. Finally, she registered the sounds of helicopters nearing the school. She squeezed his hand tightly one more time before letting it go. “So we fight,” she sighed.
“We fight,” he nodded. “There’s no time to run.”
They heard the sound of shattering glass. Someone breached in through the windows. Several footsteps were heard around the building. Soldiers. Logan and Y/N shared a look before they separated.
Logan’s claws were out, ready to kill anyone who dared to approach him. He could heal, and Y/N could protect herself with forcefields. However, he hated they separated. The evening started promising, and it was ruined by some fuckers who had the desire to attack the school.
Y/N ran outside the main entrance before soldiers could tear down the door. She formed a forcefield around herself to protect her body. She felt how her energy shifted. The shield she had created felt different. When she collided with the first body, the soldier screamed in agonising pain, and he flew away. All the bullets fired at her were absorbed into it.
When she looked out, she realised at least six military helicopters had flown to the school, filled with soldiers. What the fuck was happening? While she kept herself hidden inside the force field, she created a ball that she threw at a group of soldiers, hurting them.
Y/N’s eyes noticed the symbol on the helicopters. Trask. Holy mother of god! They wanted mutants, and this was the perfect place to get them. More gunshots were heard from the inside of the school, with Logan’s roaring. She could only imagine the bloodbath happening inside. It was amusing how the evening went from passionate kissing to fighting for their lives.
More soldiers tried to take her down. Y/N was faster, and the shield got powerful with more determination to finish this. As if it wasn’t enough, it started to rain heavily. No wonder it was a week before Halloween, and autumn was in full mode.
She didn’t mind the water or the cold air. Her adrenaline kept her warm. More soldiers surrounded her, aiming their guns at her. Y/N kept herself protected with her power, not giving them a window to shoot. It sucked. There were only two of them and dozens of soldiers.
For a moment, Y/N thought that they would be able to defeat them. But the moment Logan’s painful roaring came from her side, her heart dropped to the ground. At least seven soldiers had him restrained with a collar around his neck. They even put him on a leash so he wouldn’t escape. That damn collar. It took away his power.
“No,” she gasped.
“Halt!” someone shouted. All soldiers ceased fire, yet the guns remained ready to shoot.
The men who captured Logn had brought him down on his knees. The rain soaked through his clothes and hair, and there was a bloody wound on his right shoulder. It wasn’t healing.
A laugh got her attention. It sounded so familiar that it brought goosebumps to Y/N’s skin. Her eyes widened in shock. The woman turned her head to the voice. She forgot how to breathe.
“Look who’s crossed my path again,” said the female voice.
This voice haunted Y/N in her nightmares. She dryly gulped, eyes never leaving the person who approached the front line. “Mother.”
Logan gasped when he heard Y/N say that. “What the fuck?” he gasped for air. The woman in charge was Y/N’s own mother? What a sick, twisted joke!
The leader of this group was an older woman in her late fifties. She had grey hair pinned in a low bun. She was dressed in a military outfit with a raincoat over it. It protected her uniform from the rain. Why the fuck was she dressed like a soldier? What the fuck was going on?
Y/N’s head was screaming questions. She was shocked. She forgot to keep herself behind the protective veil. It suddenly disappeared, making her vulnerable. It was painful to see her mother standing with the company that wanted to get rid of mutants. Y/N killed her little sister, the youngest daughter. Of course, her mother would desire to see all mutants burn in hell.
“Why the fuck are you here?” Y/N spat.
The woman grinned. “I came here to collect you and bring you back to where you belong - the lab.” Her voice was strict. When Y/N made a confused and disgusted face, her mother continued. “Don’t act surprised. I know everything about you. I know what happened to you when you escaped the lab in Salem.”
“What?” Y/N lowered her voice, confused. How was it possible?
The woman’s eyes moved to Logan. She laughed like a devil. “And we got the animal as well.”
Y/N’s fists clenched. “He’s not an animal,” she growled. “How the fuck do you know everything?”
“You think I’d let the murderer that killed my baby get away from me? Oh, honey, don’t be naive,” she said darkly. “I had my eyes on you since I joined Trask Industries and discovered that you became a lab rat.”
Logan was fuming. He tried to pull on the restraints to get away and run to Y/N. Hell, he would kill for her. That only got him a punishment. They pressed a stick to his side, sending shockwaves to his body. He screamed in pain and fell to the ground. Without his healing ability, he was vulnerable.
“If you are wondering how I know you’d be here, it’s simple,” Y/N’s mother sang. “I knew you’d get the boy. The scientists in the lab informed me that you got attached to him. Disgusting, considering you like killing children. With that knowledge, we knew you’d try to save him. I must admit, for a moment, we lost faith that you’d show up. We were about to get the boy back to our main facility when you decided to rescue him with that thing,” she pointed at Logan.
Y/N shook her head in disbelief. “No, it doesn’t make sense. How…?”
“We have eyes everywhere,” the woman said. “I’d do everything to get the child murderer back where she belongs. In a cage, slowly torturing her to death. That is what you deserve.”
“It was an accident,” Y/N’s voice broke. Her insides were shaking. “I’d never hurt her on purpose. She was my sister.”
The older woman scoffed. “Do not speak of her! Don’t you dare talk about my baby girl! Murder is not an accident. I thought that after all these years, you’d be dead - that the experiments would kill you. And here you are, alive at this damn school for mutants. It’s disgusting.”
Y/N’s nerves were on the verge of exploding. The force fields glitched around her a few times. “You are the disgusting one. You come here to threaten us. Tell me why you are here. What do you want?” Her whole body was shivering. It was the mixture of cold and emotions bubbling inside. The rain didn’t stop. It got heavier.
“I came here for you, to take you where you belong. I want the little mutants for our experiments to create a weapon that would annihilate you.” The woman’s head snapped to a few soldiers that came out of the building. She frowned at them. They came out empty-handed. “Where are the mutants?” she hissed.
One soldier saluted. “They are all gone. The school’s empty,” he announced.
“Shit,” she cursed. “What do you mean gone?”
“They must have escaped.”
Y/N exhaled, glad that the children were with Colossus somewhere safe. Now, she needed to ensure Logan would get out of the collar.
Y/N’s mother rolled her eyes, clearly annoyed by the outcome. She had to think about something else. That’s why Y/N had made a decision in her head for her. “Take me and leave him,” she pointed at Logan. “You want me. You can have me.”
“No!” Logan protested on the wet, muddy ground. Another stick got pressed to his body, and he got zapped again.
“Oh, honey, that’s not how this works,” she tsked. “You’ll both come with me. I don’t care if you are alive or not. Your body is coming with me back to the lab.”
There was a radiating energy flowing through Y/N’s body. It was new, unfamiliar. But it felt good. Her left hand flew up where Logan was held. She put a protective veil around him. It then expanded, making all soldiers fly away from his wounded body. They screamed in excruciating pain. Afterwards, the force field never disappeared.
There was a sound of a gunshot, followed by a stinging pain in her right shoulder. She gasped, cursing loudly. Y/N forgot to protect herself. Her eyes fell down to the wound, seeing a lot of blood. That’s when she noticed a blue and silver hue around the gash. It helped to close the bleeding. That never happened before. Did her mutation evolve?
Three deep breaths. Three exhales. Y/N’s left hand fell, yet the force field remained around Logan. She kept it on with her mind. Her eyes drifted to her mother. She raised both hands up as a sign of giving up.
“Drop the shield,” her mother called.
“No,” she spat back. “You can have me, not Logan. He’ll stay protected until my last breath.”
“Cuff her!” her mother gave a barking order.
That’s what Y/N was waiting for. Her ears tried to focus on the other sounds. It was difficult with the pouring rain. The clinging sound of handcuffs and that damn collar was closer to her ear. If they wanted a fight, she would give them one. She used everything she had learnt and decided to use those skills to defend herself.
The second a man got closer, she punched him straight in the nose with her elbow. She turned around, bringing his head down to hit his face with her knee. Once more shooting started, she created a force field to protect her. Again, all she needed was to use her mind.
Y/N reached for a shotgun the soldier had. Instead of shooting another man, she smashed him with the gun, using all her power, into his head. He spun in the air and landed face-first in the muddy grass. While being preoccupied with several more soldiers, Logan’s body was still protected.
He watched her from afar, breathing heavily. He never saw her kick ass like this. Was it inappropriate of him to think it was hot? As much as he wanted to help, all he could do was watch. He lost his ability to take out his claws and to heal. There was nothing he could do now. His eyes glanced at the beautiful force field surrounding his body. This happened to him for the first time. It was mesmerising.
“Blow this place up!” The woman in charge shouted at her men. It seemed she gave up on taking Y/N or Logan with them. She turned on her heel while more soldiers tried to take down Y/N.
During Y/N’s inattention, when she was focused more on snapping a man’s neck, the shield glitched, and she got shot again. “Fuck!” she screamed. This time, the wound got through her abdomen. It stung for a few seconds until the pain faded away. There was crimson red blood on her T-shirt.
“Y/N!” Logan screamed her name when he saw the bullet get her. His stopped beating for a moment.
“Retreat! Retreat!” the soldiers shouted.
Logan watched as they went back into the helicopters. Some men were lying around, dead. Y/N just got the last soldier who was on her neck. She broke his arms, grabbed his gun and shot him in the head. “Shit,” Logan gasped when he saw that. He never would have expected to see her kill someone like that. Logan managed to sit up and slowly got rid of the handcuffs. He wanted to take down the collar. He fiddled with it, pulling on it. Nothing happened.
Y/N tried to catch her breath after the fight was done. She turned around to see the helicopters up in the air. “You fucking bitch!” she shouted angrily at her mother. “One day, I will get you and kill you with my bare hands!” The nerves got the best of her. Afterwards, she fell on her knees, tired. The veil around Logan disappeared.
Her whole body was wet. The rain never stopped. She blinked a few times, trying to regain control of her body. When she raised her eyes up, she found one helicopter in the air, facing the school. Her stomach dropped. Blow this place up.
Two missiles were shot directly at the school. Y/N’s mother gave the order to destroy a place that Y/N started to call home. It was a sanctuary, a second chance for young mutants. Only a monster would want to take that away from them. Then and there, she knew what she had to do.
With all the energy inside of her, she raised her arms in the air and created the largest force field ever. It spread around her, Logan and stretched up in the air, surrounding the entire complex. It looked like northern lights if they were silver and blue. When the missiles hit the shield, they blew up with such intensity Y/N started to scream from the top of her lungs. She could feel it all. The explosion was massive. The ground underneath her feet shook.
Blood started to drip out of her nose. It covered her T-shirt and dripped on the grass. She held the shield up until the fire from the explosion eased. Y/N’s started to spin. There was some last energy streaming through her veins. She pushed the force field forward. It hit the closest helicopters, and they got destroyed in the air. More explosions followed.
It was over. The protective veil disappeared. The school was saved, soldiers were killed, but her mother got away.
Y/N’s body fell on the wet grass like a rag doll. The blood never stopped coming out of her nose. She drained all her energy. The last thing she saw was the dark sky above her head.
“Y/N!” Logan shouted. “Y/N!” His legs brought her to her unconscious body. He got on his knees and brought her into his arms. He stroked her face with his fingers, observing the blood-covered lips, chin and T-shirt.
Did he lose her? Was she dead? When he pressed two fingers on her neck where there was a pulse point, he couldn’t feel any. Logan started to panic. “No, no, no,” he repeated, eyes filling his tears. “Come on, princess. Don’t die on me,” he growled. “We have some unfinished business.” And then he felt it. There was a pulse. Her heart was still beating.
The rain calmed down. The air got colder. Logan remained with Y/N on the grass. His eyes found the bloody spots - one was on her shoulder, the other on the abdomen. His fingers caressed the place on the shoulder. He was shocked to see no wound. How was it possible? There was blood around it.
His eyes noticed a weird movement on her body. He saw her veins radiating as her force field would. No, it was not the veins. It was her skin, glowing. A silver and blueish hue was sparkling around her body. “What the fuck?” he whispered.
He remembered when he saw her irises change colour. The natural colour was gone. It changed to a silvery one. The same was happening on her skin.
Logan got Y/N into his arms, holding her bridal style. He walked with her into the school, where he could provide her warmth. Also, he would call the rest of the X-men for help. He had to believe Charles already knew what had happened.
Her gut was warning her. It screamed something was off. And it was right. What Logan didn’t expect to meet Y/N’s fucked up mother, who worked for Trask Industries. They couldn’t predict an attack on the school.
Logan put Y/N’s body on the nearest sofa in the lounge room and sat on the floor. The bleeding wound on his body was painful. He wanted to clean it and patch himself. However, he couldn’t leave her side. Stupid collar. With it on his neck, he wasn’t able to heal.

Professor Howlett

Pairing: Logan Howlett/Wolverine x Student (Mutant) reader
Summary: Your history professor always seemed uninterested in you, that was until you missed his class.
Word count: 2.6k
Throughout high school I’ve always kind of stood out. To be honest, I only have myself to blame. Bright colours and statement pieces are just so much more appealing, than wearing something ‘plain.’ Unfortunately, I did more than just “stand out” that day, just three weeks away from senior graduation. That fateful day, I was so close to the finish line, before my stupid ex-boyfriend discovered my secret, and outed it to the entire student body.
That I’m a mutant…
That was what led me across the coast, for most of the past year, running from god knows what. I heard the stories of mutants being hunted and gone missing, and I didn’t intend to stick around long enough, that I wouldn’t at least make it to my 20th birthday.
However, my days of swindling folks of cash and food came to a halt, when I spotted a man with red-tinted glasses watching me. His invested gaze observed my every movement, so I grabbed all my shit, and the last bit of petty change I managed to get, and sprinted into a crowd.
Just as I thought I was in the clear, my face collided with a colossal, firm chest. I pressed the heels of my palms into it, and felt the cotton of his white shirt, and the rough, yet smooth texture of his worn-in, leather jacket.
Logan Howlett, or should I say, Mr. Howlett, my history Professor... After he and Scott captured me, they dragged me by the ankles to their school for the “gifted.” I cringed when they said where we were headed, but once I arrived and saw all the kids, like me, going about their lives, free, I knew everything would be more than okay.
And one thing I knew for sure, is that I wouldn’t mind attending Mr. Howlett’s class. Did I know shit about history, yes. But I’ve always had a thing for the older guy, and from what I’ve heard, he’s more than enough in that department.
...
This morning, racing out of my room, I swore profusely at my tardiness... Just my luck. The one day that week I get to see and listen to Logan talk for an hour straight, my alarm malfunctions.
Multitasking between attempting to tie my hot-pink heels, wrapping my sparkly bag over my shoulder, and shutting my door, I missed the approaching figure behind me.
“It’s past 11 am, where do you think you’re headed?” I swivel on my toes, spinning to face Storm. “Class?”
“The only class you have left today kid, is at 2. You’ve managed to miss the rest already,” she scolds flatly.
“Noooo,” I fake astonishment and defeat, as I slowly back away from Storm's scrutinizing stare. She calls my name after I’ve taken at least two large steps backward. “Logan wants to see you,” she states, exasperated.
“Oh?” I straighten out, stopping my next step short. “Ok!” I exclaim, a little too perky. She huffs a faint smirk and walks off, and I take flight, zooming to Logan’s class, where he’s most likely dozed off.
Lo and behold, after knocking once and receiving no response, I open the door to see him snoring. With his legs fully extended, and feet resting on his desk, I bask in his lengthy physic. I giggle and then go towards him.
Mr. Howlett?” I say, clearing my throat loudly, he grunts in his sleep and I smile. “Mr. Howlett?” I say even sweeter. A second later, I swear he mumbles my name and my heart stutters, but he’s still sleeping. I move in closer to his ear. “Logan,” I announce rigidly, and my change in tone makes him flinch, legs falling off the table, eyes popping open.
He rasps my name, voice echoing through the classroom. I refused to move away from my position, wanting to seem unaffected by him, but I was anything but. With his lazy eyes roaming over my skin, my heart races wildly. He clears his throat, and rolls his eyes away after taking in my attire, as he usually does —gives me a once-over, and rolls his eyes back to his focus on his lecture.
“You missed class, that isn’t like you,” he notes, almost to himself.
“Yes and I’m sorry-“
“I hope it wasn’t because you were too busy picking that outfit.” Logan scoffs and my eyes widen. He’s always made snarky comments, and this wasn’t anything new, but every time he does, I can’t help the boiling feeling in my lungs, that makes me rise to defend myself. “No, maybe I just felt like sleeping in?” I declare. A short-lived chuckle escapes him. “And you’re just gonna admit to that?” He smirks as he faces me. “I don’t like kids skipping my class.”
“First off, I’m an adult, second, you don’t care when kids skip your class,” I retort, with a growing smile, beaming across my face. Though, his complimentary smile, drops as mine comes to full form. He’s never seemed fond of my smile, or maybe it’s just me.
“You don’t skip my class.” He states once again, and my head quirks in confusion. “Um, I’m sorry?” I compromise, “It won’t happen again.”
“It better not,” He remarks dangerously. My brows furrow.
“Okay, I don’t get why it matters so much to you Mr. Howlett.” I place my hands on my hips, gazing down at him in his chair like I'm reprimanding a child. Which he is not akin to.
He lifts from his chair, standing up. I gasp as he towers over me. “Watch your tone, or I’ll fail ya,” he counters, fighting a smirk, staying stoic. “What?” I yelp and his smirk breaks through. My jaw goes slack. “Mr. Howlett, that’s not funny!”
“What’s not funny, is you pretending like calling me 'Mr. Howlett,' doesn’t turn you on.”
I freeze in disbelief. Was this one of my daydreams? Am I really awake right now?
“You heard me, you damn highlighter,” he asserts. “Call me Logan for fucks sake, if you’re a damn adult.” His scratchy voice loses its humour, and I stay frozen to the spot. “Get outta here, would ya,” Logan orders as he leisurely retakes his seat, getting comfortable for his next nap.
Unable to drag myself away, my eyes refocus on the subject of my desires. “Why do I have such a thing for assholes.”
Before Logan can respond angrily, I sit on his lap, dropping my purse to the floor, and straddling his hips. I cup his perplexed face and crash our mouths together, moulding them into one. He grunts in surprise as if he didn’t expect me to retaliate, as if he didn’t expect that I would want him this way.
He half-heartedly pulls away between kisses, whispering my name in small protests, but he gets muffled by my lips and grinds on his lap. Quickly, his objections turn into fierce groans. He takes my hips into his hands, tightly gripping into my flesh as he pushes me back, onto his desk. I whimper as his crotch stays glued to my core, even as we move. One hand then moves from my hip to my neck, holding it, then slowly sliding to my jaw, grasping it in a hungry, pressing kiss. His tongue laps my mouth, completely dominating me, and I struggle to breathe.
Just as I’m about to pull away to comment on how desperate he seems, his other hand flips me over with ease. My stomach is now on top of his desk, his crotch, like iron against my ass, and his hands trace down from my shoulder blades, to my bum. With my head hung over the desk, I pant, practically drooling.
“You’re asking for detention pinky,” he mutters, and I respond by pushing back into his hard cock. “I'm a sucker for extra attention teach,” I mention, as sensually as I could muster. He chuckles lowly, and I shudder. The pressure of his dick doesn’t change, and his hands continue their unhurried venture of me. “You like attention sweets?” Logan questions softly. His tone makes me shiver and whimper, yet again. “I like yours.”
“Just mine?” He questions darkly, telling me he doesn’t actually want any opposition. “Yes,” I whisper.
His voice drops an octave as he swears, rolling his hips into me once. I moan loudly. “Shhhh princess, you tryna alert the entire building?” He asks with amusement evident. I shake my head, no, and he laughs by my ear as he dips down. “Good, because I don’t like sharing your attention,” he says passively. “And I’d like to be the only ‘asshole,’ that gets to see what’s under these ridiculous clothes.”
“Hey!” I object meekly. I feel him smile as he leans away from my ear, and I turn my head over my shoulder to watch him peer down at where our bodies meet. “You probably want me to fuck you on this desk.” He speaks as though I’m not there to hear him. “Ya probably want to be taken here so that every time you’re sitting in my class, you can vividly imagine me deep inside you.” He trails off as his hand pushes up my shirt, touching my lower back.
“But we can’t do that,” he sighs hoarsely.
“Why?” My reply is so quick that I grimace.
“Because, if we did, I’d be hard every time I’m in this fucking room, and that isn’t the smartest idea.” I moan at his crudeness and gasp when he pecks my naked spine, just below my bra clip. “Even your lingerie is pink huh?” He laughs smoothly. “Imagined it would be.” My legs rub together instinctively at his words.
“You imagined it?”
He pauses. “Hell yeah I did, though I tried to fight it,” he muses in between a groan. “It didn’t take me long to figure you wanted this too, princess,” he murmurs pleasantly.
After a long beat of silence and a little grinding, I speak up. “So now what? If you’re not going to make love to me here.”
He slowly pushes the hair over my face, behind my ear, tilting my head to face him just a bit. He then leans down and kisses me on the cheek.
“I’ll come to you,” is all Logan says as he reluctantly wrenches himself from me, after giving my ass cheek a mild slap. I yelp and nearly pout at the loss of touch. We hold eye contact as he backs away. “Get going, otherwise you’ll be late,” he comments airily. I nod and scurry out the room, with a grin plastered on my face.
...
After a long, vigorous rest of the day. I collapse into my plushy bed with a sigh.
“Took you long enough,” a dark voice rings, with a hint of familiar sass. I jolt up to see Logan leaning on my wardrobe. His tight shirt is only more strained as his arms cross. “Been waiting to ‘make love' to ya all day,” he claims, with a mocking tone, repeating my "childish" words from earlier. My best guess is that he assumes I’m a virgin.
So, in an attempt to remedy my reputation, sitting up on my bed, with my arms bracing my figure, I slowly spread my bent legs. I bite my bottom lip, and his eyes shift down and blacken. “Get on with it then, Logan.” I roll my tongue as his name teasingly leaves my mouth. His head twitches in an almost feral manner, and I gulp.
“You’re asking for it,” is all he mumbles before pouncing on me. Our limbs tangle and I moan as his leg presses into my clothed clit. “Please,” I just about sob, to which he responds with an aggressive kiss and another crushing rub of his thigh. I moan louder, and he grunts, “You like that?” I push my hands into his hair, running my fingers through his thick locks. He lets out a coarse groan.
Loving how vocal he is, I decide to encourage him by groping his cock over his rugged jeans. “Fuck, baby,” he groans out when his mouth leaves mine. He then runs his tongue over my neck and collar, soon nibbling on my earlobe. His thigh continues to make work of me, and I match his pace. “You're so dirty,” he grins while his nose brushes my rosy cheek, and then he's kissing me. “I love it,” he professes with amusement, again, coating his tone.
Just as I begin undoing his belt, he flips me over on my stomach like before. Then, when I'm lying flat underneath him, he grabs my hips, to lift them towards his crotch as he kneels above. “I better see a pink thong,” he jokes as he strips me bare. He groans in satisfaction as I’m left in just my underwear for his viewing. “Unreal,” Logan practically purrs.
I wiggle my ass playfully, and he growls and smacks it harder than he did in his classroom. I squeal into my pillow, briskly going quiet when I hear his belt being ripped from the loops of his denim. Leaving my underwear in place, he runs his digits over the lace, making me whine, "Logan."
With his name on my tongue, it shortly turns into a cry as the lace covering my clit gets moved to the side, and two meaty fingers dive into me. "Shit, princess," he rasps. "How am I gonna fit?" He asks rhetorically, and I choke a sob, as he wastes no time building up an energetic pace, with his fingers.
He swiftly tears an orgasm from my trembling body, still holding my hips up with one hand. When his fingers leave, I hear his mouth clean them, and I swing my head to face him hastily, but he shoves my head back into my pillow. "So eager," he more or less snickers.
"Very," my smothered voice emits, barely audible.
I nearly shriek when his tip swipes my wet slit. Logan, without notice, suddenly pushes himself inside me, with an agonizing slowness, but I quietly persist. "Atta girl, that's it," he lazily groans out encouragements. My hands pathetically slide onto his thighs, unsure if I'm urging him for more, or begging for discretion.
At once, he shoves himself in all the way, and I let out an extensive sigh. His palm, which was just holding down my head, joins his other hand on my abandoned hip. He lets out various curses, along with my name, and begins to move, in and out. Soon enough, he's pounding into me at a savage rate, completely untamed. As well, it seems purposeful, how he simultaneously bends down to growl and moan in my ear, still thrusting.
He stirs another orgasm, still notably, not experiencing his own. "You look real pretty like this princess," he begins to ramble. "Gonna do this every fucking day." The rest of what he says gets lost in translation, as I grow overwhelmed and overstimulated.
Thoughtlessly, I try to crawl away while he still has my lower half hoisted up. Once Logan realizes what I'm up to, my pitiful effort has him laughing. "Where ya going?"
"Lo, it's too much-"
"Lo? Call me that again, it's cute," he hums.
"No more," I whimper, ignoring him.
"Just one more baby," Logan coos, while somehow increasing his pace, making me cum instantly, squirting a little. His moan rumbles in his chest, and he doesn't stop hammering into me. I grip my headboard, and one of his arms stretches alongside mine, to do the same.
When he cums, his grip snaps the wood, breaking a part of the headboard, making me shout in between sobs. He seems to not notice the damage, too busy finishing on my backside.
After a long minute, he slumps his large frame beside me. One of his arms stays drifting across my skin as his eyes intently coast over my features. "Maybe consider skipping my class more often," Logan expresses as his lips slightly tip upward. He presses his lips onto my shoulder. I smile, giggling, "Why?"
"Cause it doesn’t matter where I fuck you, there's nowhere I won't get hard looking at that pretty face of yours," he smiles dreamily, "And you're impractical wardrobe.”
I guffaw, "You truly have a way with words," I pause and smirk, "Mr. Howlett."
He rises onto his elbow with a devilish grin, "Now you're really asking for it princess."

Trouble
Logan Howlett x Reader
Summary: You were on the run; trying to lay low and out of trouble until you find a bar and meet a certain someone in a cage fight.
Word Count: 1.5k
Tumblr media
People gathered around the cage fight that was about to begin.
You watched as people were passing money back and forth, placing bets on the two men standing across from each other.
One of the men brought a cigar up to his lips, taking in a long breathe before blowing smoke down towards the ground.
He barely acknowledged the man standing across from him; despite the fact that he was almost twice the size of him and clearly itching for a fight.
The man finished off the cigar before flicking it onto the ground. As he looked up, his eyes locked with yours for a short moment.
You felt your chest tighten as you quickly looked down, not wanting to be acknowledged by him or anyone in this place.
When you looked up the fight had already started. You watching the other man land a punch to his face, causing you to flinch from how hard that hit was.
The man didn’t move an inch, barely reacting to such an intense blow.
He let out a grunt, his bottom teeth revealing themselves and he stepped forward.
His arm swung so quickly you almost missed it before his fast smashed into the cheek of the other man.
It took only a few seconds for the man to hit the floor; already knocked out from the hit.
The screams and shouts from around the cage filled the room and the ref announced the winner.
You turned around and walked over to the bar instead, noticing the bartender cleaning glasses in preparation for the crowd to come over and start drinking.
“What can I get ya?” He asked, barely looking up at you as you took a seat to in the corner.
“Oh nothing for me, thanks” you replied quickly, knowing you had no money to afford even a glass of a beer.
People started to gather around you, ordering drinks left and right as they complained about the fight.
You heard men grumbling over the fact that this man keeps winning every fight.
The man from the cage walked through them, ignoring their complaints before taking a seat next to you.
Your heart rate picked up as soon as he sat down, wishing he would’ve sat somewhere else instead.
He glanced over at you, giving you a small smile as though he sensed your anxiety.
You didn’t even get a chance to smile back before he took a swig of his whiskey and looked across the bar instead.
“That was fucking bullshit out there! I know you’re one of them” a man yelled in disgust, shoving the man next to you.
He continued to ignore him and drink his whiskey before the man knocked it out of his hand, the glass shattering on the ground in front of you.
You were already getting up, prepared to leave quickly.
“Good choice getting away from this.. mutant” the man remarked before spitting on the ground in front of the mutant.
You scoffed at the man, uninterested in any opinion that came out of his mouth.
The man began to step towards you, clearly unhappy with your reaction.
He barely took a step towards you before the mutant stood up, blocking his way and shooting him a nasty glare.
“Try and make me” the mutant replied, raising his brows in an attempt to provoke him.
The man raised his hands before the mutant grabbed his shirt, pushing him back against the wooden pillar behind him.
His other arm raised as his fist lined up to the man’s neck, three claws slowly coming out of his knuckles and grazing the man’s neck.
You breath lodged in your throat as you took a step back.
“Hey! You take that shit outside!” The bartender yelled, as if he has dealt this this many times before.
The mutant didn’t look back before slowly retracting his claws, giving the man a shove before fixed his jacket and stepped back.
The man snarled at him as he began to walk away, clearly wanted to say something else.
The mutant turned around to look over at you. “You alright?” He asked, his voice was low and gentle; not at all what you had expected after witnessing all of that.
You nodded quickly before reaching down to grab your bag, wanting to quickly get out of here.
Although you were getting so sick of running, it was clear to you that this was not the place to lay low.
You watched the mutant let out a sigh, worrying that he had scared you.
A feeling of regret came over you as you wished you didn’t look so keen to get away from him.
You reached out gently to touch his shoulder and give him a thankful smile.
For only a split moment, it seemed like his eyes lit up at you before he watched you walked out the door.
The cold air hit you immediately, urging you to turn back inside for some damn warmth.
Your teeth chattered as you took your first step forward, ready to walk down the road and find the next place you could stay at for a while.
As you neared the road you heart footsteps approaching you from behind.
You quickly turned around to see the man that was going after the mutant earlier.
“Where do you think you’re going, sweetheart?” He slurred, the alcohol on his breath lingering in the air as he spoke.
You immediately took a step back, rolling your eyes at him.
“Piss off” you muttered, ready to turn around before he grabbed your shoulder; his fingers pressing into your skin.
“I suggest you take your hand off her” the mutant growled, walking up behind the man in front of you.
The mutant grabbed the man’s shoulder and pulled him, hauling his body onto the ground.
The man landed on his back, letting out a grunt as he hit the floor.
The mutants claws revealed themselves from his knuckles and he stared down, warning the man to back off.
The man stood to his feet slowly, looking over at you as if you were the one who ticked him off.
He let out a huff before turning around, realising there was no chance he was winning against this mutant. He shot a glare at the mutant, wishing he could take him on in some attempt to gain back his pride.
You watched the man walk into the bar before you looked up at the mutant, feeling grateful that he had intervened.
“Thank you for that” you said quietly, still feeling unnerved by everything that was going on.
His claws drew back into his knuckles before he looked over at you, giving you a nod.
“I’m Logan” he shared, waiting for you to introduce yourself.
“Uh, I’m Y/N” you replied softly, finding it difficult to look him in the eyes.
“Where are ya headin?” He asked.
“Honestly… I have no idea” you sighed.
He looked at your curiously, almost as though he was trying to read your mind.
There was no chance you were going to tell him you were on the run. You didn’t need anyone else involved in your shit.
“I can give you a ride to the next town if you need” he offered; his voice being gentle whenever he spoke to you.
He watched your face as you hesitated, a part of you wanted to say ‘yes’ although you hadn’t trusted a single person in such a long time.
“How far is it?” You asked, still debating on what you were going to do.
“A few hours, give or take” he answered quickly.
You let out a long breath; you really didn’t have any chance walking if that was the case. It was going with Logan, or freezing to death on the side of the ride.
“..okay” you replied softly, your eyes drifting down to the ground.
He gestured for you to follow as he walked over to his truck, opening the side door for you to get in.
You have him and quick thank you before lifting you back into the passenger seat and getting in.
He began driving down the road for what felt like ages before you decided to speak.
“Seriously thank you for doing this” you announced, wanting to show him your gratitude.
He responded with a smile, his eyes softening as he glanced over at you and then back toward the road.
“Does it hurt? When they come out” you asked curiously, gesturing towards his knuckles and the claws that came out.
“Every time” he replied, flexing his hands for a short moment as he kept his eyes on the road.
“Sorry for all the shit you must deal with” you said. “I guess a lot of people don’t like you guys” you added, feeling sorry for him.
“They ain’t all bad” he replied, giving you a grin.
You let out a chuckle as you looked down at your hands, twiddling your thumbs.
You felt oddly connected to him already; safer than you had felt in months. Maybe you’d stick with him a little longer.

A Wolverine's Heartache - Part III
Part I Part II
i'm so sorry it took so long for me to post this!! i've been drowning in work :,(
Tumblr media
Logan/James Howlett x Reader
She/Her pronouns used!!
Summary: Logan struggles after seeing a person he loves alive. Will he be able to save her?
In the moments leading up to Logan's journey back in time, the Xavier Institute was a hub of frantic activity, a beacon of hope in the face of impending doom. The threat of the Sentinels loomed large, casting a shadow of fear and uncertainty over the mutant community.
Logan, haunted by the memory of Y/N's tragic death and driven by a desperate need to prevent further loss, had become the linchpin in a daring plan to alter the course of history. With the help of Professor Xavier and a handful of trusted allies, Logan prepared to embark on a mission that would defy the very fabric of time itself.
The decision to send Logan back in time was not made lightly. It required sacrifices – sacrifices that weighed heavily on the hearts of those left behind. Yet, in the face of imminent destruction, there was no room for hesitation.
As Logan stood before the makeshift time-travel device, his resolve hardened like steel. The weight of his mission bore down on him, a burden he carried with grim determination. He knew the risks – the possibility of altering the timeline, of facing enemies both old and new – but the chance to rewrite history and save those he loved was a gamble he was willing to take.
Before he could second-guess himself, Logan braced himself for the journey ahead. With a final glance at his comrades, a silent promise etched in his eyes, he stepped into the swirling vortex of energy, disappearing into the unknown depths of the past.
In that pivotal moment, the fate of the world hung in the balance. For Logan, it was a journey fraught with peril and uncertainty, but it was also a journey fueled by hope – hope for redemption, for a chance to right the wrongs of the past, and for a future where Y/N's death would be nothing more than a distant memory.
As Logan's consciousness shifted through time, propelled back to a pivotal moment before the devastation wrought by the Sentinels, a sense of urgency gripped him like a vice. His mission was clear: to prevent the cataclysmic events that had led to Y/N's tragic demise.
Arriving in the past, Logan found himself in a world that was both familiar and yet subtly different. The Xavier Institute bustled with life, its halls alive with the laughter of students and the gentle hum of telepathic conversations. But for Logan, it was a world tinged with sorrow, a reminder of the losses he had endured.
As he navigated the bustling corridors, searching for allies to aid him in his quest, Logan's heart quickened at the thought of encountering Y/N. She existed in this timeline, vibrant and alive, yet unaware of the role she would play in shaping their shared destiny.
When Logan finally came face to face with Y/N, his breath caught in his throat. She was different here – a younger version of the person he had known, her features softened by innocence and untainted by the scars of war. And yet, there was an undeniable familiarity in her presence, a connection that transcended the boundaries of time.
As their eyes met, Logan felt a surge of emotions wash over him – longing, regret, and a fierce determination to protect her at all costs. In that fleeting moment, he saw echoes of the Y/N he had lost, a reminder of the bond they had shared across time and space.
But for Y/N, Logan was a stranger – a mysterious figure with haunted eyes and a sense of purpose that seemed to emanate from his very being. And yet, there was something in his gaze, a depth of emotion that stirred something within her – a feeling she couldn't quite place.
As Logan reached out to Y/N, his hand trembling with the weight of unspoken truths, he knew that convincing her to join him would be no easy task. But for Y/N, Logan's presence ignited a spark of curiosity, a whisper of destiny that beckoned her towards a future she could not yet fathom.
As Logan stood before the younger version of Y/N, his heart clenched with a mixture of emotions – longing, regret, and an urgent sense of purpose. He knew that convincing her of the impending danger would be no easy task, especially considering she had no recollection of their shared history.
Y/N regarded him with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion, her brows furrowed in confusion. "Who are you?" she demanded, her voice tinged with a hint of defiance.
Logan took a deep breath, steeling himself for the difficult task ahead. "I know this is hard to believe, but you need to listen to me. I'm from the future, and I've seen what happens if we don't act now."
Y/N's eyes widened in disbelief, a scoff escaping her lips. "From the future? That's impossible. Why should I trust you?"
Logan knew he had to choose his words carefully, to break through the wall of skepticism that surrounded her. "I know this is a lot to take in, but I've seen the devastation caused by the Sentinels. They've hunted us down, taken everything from us. If we don't stop them now, there won't be a future for any of us."
Y/N's expression softened slightly, but her hesitation remained palpable. "And why should I believe you? You could be anyone, spinning tales to manipulate me."
Logan's jaw tightened with frustration, but he forced himself to remain calm. He understood her skepticism – after all, he was asking her to believe in the impossible. "I understand your doubts, but you have to trust me. Lives are at stake here, including yours. We need to work together to stop this."
Y/N's gaze flickered with uncertainty, torn between disbelief and a nagging sense of curiosity. She wanted to dismiss Logan's words as the ramblings of a madman, but there was something in his eyes – a depth of sincerity that gave her pause.
As Logan pleaded with her to heed his warning, Y/N felt a surge of conflicting emotions wash over her – fear, anger, and a flicker of hope. In that moment of uncertainty, she grappled with the weight of the decision before her, knowing that the fate of the world rested in her hands – and in the hands of the enigmatic stranger who claimed to hold the key to their salvation.
The moment hung suspended in time, a fragile balance between doubt and determination. Y/N stood before Logan, her gaze locked with his, uncertainty etched into the lines of her face. Logan's plea echoed in the air, a whispered promise of redemption and salvation, and for a fleeting instant, Y/N hesitated.
But then, something shifted within her – a spark of resolve that ignited in the depths of her soul. It was a quiet realization, born from the depths of her own courage and fueled by the unwavering belief that together, they could make a difference.
With a steadying breath, Y/N met Logan's gaze, her voice steady despite the turmoil raging within her. "Alright. I'll help you."
The words hung in the air like a beacon of hope, a testament to the strength of her conviction. In that moment, a weight lifted from Logan's shoulders, replaced by a surge of gratitude and relief. He had expected resistance, perhaps even outright rejection, but Y/N's willingness to trust him filled him with a sense of purpose unlike anything he had ever known.

As the tension reached its peak in the crowded conference room, Logan and Y/N moved with precision and determination, their eyes locked in silent communication. They had trained for this moment, prepared for the pivotal role they would play in altering the course of history.
Amidst the chaos, Mystique, disguised as a government official, made her move, her gun trained on Trask, the architect of the Sentinel program. But before she could pull the trigger, Logan sprang into action, his instincts honed by years of combat.
With a swift motion, he intercepted Mystique's shot, deflecting the bullet away from its intended target. The room erupted into chaos as panic spread like wildfire, but Logan remained focused, his gaze never wavering from Mystique's determined form.
Beside him, Y/N moved with a grace and precision that belied her years, her powers weaving through the air like a symphony of light and shadow. With a flick of her wrist, she immobilized Mystique, her telekinetic abilities holding her captive in a shimmering cocoon of energy.
As the dust settled and order was restored, Logan and Y/N shared a fleeting glance, a silent acknowledgment of the pivotal role they had played in preventing catastrophe. In that moment, the bond between them deepened, forged in the crucible of adversity.
But as they stood amidst the aftermath of their actions, a sense of uncertainty lingered in the air. The future remains uncertain, and the threat of the Sentinels still loomed large. Yet, for the first time in a long time, Logan allowed himself to feel a glimmer of hope – a hope that with Y/N by his side, they could face whatever challenges lay ahead, together.

As Logan's consciousness shifted back to the future, his senses reeled from the disorienting transition. The world around him was a blur of chaos and destruction, the aftermath of the battle against the Sentinels evident in the smoldering ruins that surrounded him. But amidst the devastation, one sight stood out like a beacon of light in the darkness.
There, among the ragged survivors, stood Y/N – her presence a ray of hope amidst the despair. For a moment, time seemed to stand still as Logan's gaze locked onto her familiar form, his heart swelling with a mixture of relief and gratitude.
Without hesitation, he moved towards her, his steps fueled by an overwhelming urge to reach her side. As he drew closer, their eyes met, and in that instant, a flood of emotions washed over him – longing, regret, and a fierce determination to protect her at all costs.
Unable to resist any longer, Logan closed the distance between them in a single stride, his arms enveloping Y/N in a tight embrace. It was a gesture born from the depths of his soul, a silent vow to never let her go again.
In that poignant moment, as Logan's arms enveloped Y/N in a tight embrace amidst the wreckage of their war-torn world, a whirlwind of emotions stirred within him, threatening to overwhelm his senses.
First and foremost was an overwhelming sense of relief – relief that Y/N was alive and standing before him, a beacon of hope amidst the devastation. The mere sight of her, her presence a comforting reminder of their shared history and the bond they had forged, filled his heart with a profound sense of gratitude.
But alongside relief, there was also a deep-seated longing – a longing for the lost time, for the moments they had shared before the world had descended into chaos. Seeing Y/N again awakened a flood of memories, memories of laughter and camaraderie, of unspoken connections and shared moments that now felt like distant echoes in the wake of tragedy.
Mixed with longing was a potent undercurrent of regret – regret for the pain and suffering they had endured, for the lives lost and the futures stolen. Logan couldn't help but wonder if there was more he could have done, if he could have somehow prevented the devastation that had torn them apart.
Yet, amidst the tumult of emotions, there was also a fierce determination – a determination to protect Y/N at all costs, to ensure that she would never again face the horrors of war alone. In that moment, as he held her close, Logan made a silent vow to do whatever it took to keep her safe, to carve out a future where they could finally find peace.
And underlying it all was a profound sense of love – a love that transcended time and space, a love that had endured despite the odds. In Y/N's arms, Logan found solace amidst the chaos, a glimmer of hope in a world consumed by darkness.
After the embrace had ended, Logan held onto Y/N's hands tightly, his gaze locking with hers with a newfound intensity. In that moment, the weight of his unspoken emotions pressed heavily upon him, urging him to finally lay bare the truth that had long been buried within his heart.
"Y/N," he began, his voice rough with emotion, "I… I need you to know something. I've been a fool, blind to what's been right in front of me all along."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise, her heart fluttering with a mixture of anticipation and apprehension. She waited with bated breath as Logan continued, his words carrying the weight of a lifetime's worth of regrets.
"I love you, Y/N," Logan confessed, his voice barely above a whisper but filled with an undeniable sincerity. "I've loved you for longer than I care to admit, but I was too damn stubborn to see it. I let my fears and insecurities cloud my judgment, and for that, I'm sorry."
Tears welled in Y/N's eyes at Logan's confession, her heart swelling with a rush of emotions she could hardly comprehend. In that moment, the walls she had built around her heart crumbled, leaving her vulnerable but unafraid.
"Logan," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion, "I love you too. I've loved you for as long as I can remember, but I was too afraid to say it. Too afraid of what it might mean, of what we might lose."
Their hands tightened around each other's, a silent vow passing between them. In that shared moment of vulnerability, Logan and Y/N laid bare their hearts, their love for each other a beacon of hope in a world shrouded in darkness.
And as they stood together, tears mingling with smiles, they knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as they were together, they would face them with unwavering courage and unyielding love. For in each other's arms, they had found a home – a sanctuary amidst the chaos, where their love could flourish and grow stronger with each passing day.

You pressed your knuckles into your tired eyes, wincing when bright colors exploded behind your eyelids. Gingerly, you blinked to adjust back to the brightness of the laboratory’s artificial lights, stifling a wide yawn with the back of your palm.
It was your shift to watch him. Weapon X.
Everything was deathly silent, other than the rhythmic beeping of the machine in front of you. The machine that told you he was still alive. Still breathing.
You shifted in the leather chair, swallowing the uncomfortable lump in your throat.
The man—was he even a man anymore?—laid motionless and limp within the vat. His features, softened with unconsciousness, were still rugged and intimidating, nearly hidden by the hundreds of wires sticking out of his form.
They brought you in just a week ago, so you were still getting used to everything here. The other scientists in the facility had told you that the man was a volunteer for the Weapon X project—that he needed to be given an adamantium skeleton or his own mutation would kill him from the inside out. Being a mutant-in-hiding yourself, you felt a certain calling to help him out.
So if you were helping this man recover, why did it feel so wrong?
Biting the side of your cheek, you slipped out of the chair and strode up to the vat, resting a hand on the glass barrier. It was cold beneath your fingertips.
You could’ve sworn you saw his foot twitch—
The door to the lab whooshed open, and the head scientist, Dr. Cornelius, strode in, shooting you a humorless look, wordlessly telling you that your shift was over.
Pursing your lips, you pulled yourself away from the glass, sparing the man in the vat one last glance before stepping back to the chair to gather your things.
“Anything interesting to note?” the old man asked you.
You clicked your tongue against your teeth. “Nothing at all for the past couple of hours, Doc. He’s responding exceptionally well to the chemical bath.”
He made a disinterested noise, as if the prospect of things going well bored him, before sinking into another chair and heaving a large sigh.
Hesitant, you stepped forward to ask, “Doctor? Sorry, I was just wondering if I could ask you some questions.” It was about time you knew just what was going on here—there was definitely something that he wasn’t telling you.
The man lifted his gaze to you, seeming annoyed already. “What is it?” A scowl threatened to play by the corner of your lips, but you forced on an indifferent expression.
“I just… I keep thinking about him.”
“Who? Logan?”
His name was Logan. He had a name. Well—of course he did. You suddenly felt sick.
“Yeah. I keep thinking about what we’re doing to him.”
The doctor narrowed his eyes in suspicion, but wisely chose to remain silent, goading you to carry on.
The machine beeped. You glanced at the unconscious man in the vat.
“Before I came here… was he—was Logan—here? And I don’t mean him as Weapon X. I mean it like the man before this. Was he here?”
“No,” Cornelius replied, far too quickly for your liking. He averted his gaze, focusing on the machine in front of him. “I don’t know. What are you asking here, kid?”
This time, you didn’t bother to suppress the frown budding across your face. “I mean,” you huffed, crossing your arms over your chest, “did Logan sign up for this?”
“I already told you,” Cornelius gruffed out, “he volunteered.”
“And why should I believe you? Why have you named him Weapon X if all we’re trying to do is cure him? Why did you have to erase his memories? Why have you been forcing him to fight wild animals in the forest? Are you making me attach adamantium to his skeleton because you want to help him, or because you want to manufacture a mindless killing machine?” Your voice had raised several notches in volume, and the doctor seemed to recoil at your words. Sucking in a breath to calm your erratic pulse, you spoke again, “You’re not telling me something, Cornelius.”
The doctor, stunned into silence, took several moments to gather what he wanted to say. A rebuttal was just on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it would be fruitless.
You’ve figured it out.
And he would have to kill you for it.
“Was he abducted? Kidnapped?” you asked again, voice strained.
“Congratulations,” the doctor sneered, slowly rising to his feet. “You’ve put together the puzzle pieces.”
Bile rose in your throat. “Logan was forced into this. He didn’t want any of it. You… you’re trying to make a monster but—you’re the real monster here.” Slowly, you started backing up. “You were using me. You knew that I wouldn’t help graft the adamantium to his skeleton if I knew the truth. You’re insane. You’re sick.”
With a mangled cry, the doctor lunged forward, knocking you to the ground as his palms found your throat. Pain flourished through your spine as it thudded against the sleek tiles of the floor, a strangled sound crawling from your lips. You clawed at his hands at first, desperate and losing air far too quickly.
Then, you grappled at his face, scratching at his cheeks until blood welled in tiny droplets from the red marks you drew. This only seemed to enrage him further, fingers pressing harder into your trachea. Dark spots danced about your vision and you gasped for breath, eyes misting over with unshed tears.
Fuck. You needed to do something. Quick.
Maybe… your powers—
No. No, you’d find another way. You refused to lose control of yourself ever again.
The chair was right beside you. If you could just… hook your foot around one of its legs and tip it forwards…
Your mouth fell open as your lungs begged for mercy, limbs growing weaker with each passing second. You gave it your all to jerk forward, just enough to shift you down and catch the chair with your foot and yank it forwards.
The heavy metal seat tipped forward slowly, before giving in to its own weight and crashing on top of Cornelius. The bald man howled with pain, and his grip loosened on you momentarily. You hiked your knees upwards and slammed them into his stomach, shoving him away with a yell. Your chest heaved raggedly, greedily swallowing as much air as you could take.
The doctor was quick to recover from his initial shock. You thought he’d lunge for you again, but instead, he brandished a walkie talkie and yelled, “CODE RED, GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW! CODE RED!”
Without a damned clue what ‘code red’ meant, you rushed forward and slammed the emergency lockdown button on the control panel. A haggard sigh of relief left you when thick metal slabs slowly lowered down over the doors.
Cornelius, infuriated, grabbed the back of your head and shoved you down, slamming the side of your face into the plethora of buttons. A loud groan of pain ricocheted across the laboratory, blood seeping from one of your nostrils and slipping into your mouth, running a metallic copper taste along your tongue. He did it again, and again, and again, far too quickly for you to even begin to react. Faintly, you registered a whooshing sound in front of you—one of you must’ve accidentally hit the button that released Logan from his chemical bath.
You spat blood over the buttons with a snarl, reinvigorated, shooting your hands out to stop him from bashing your face in once more. Twisting your body, you kicked at his knee as hard as you could, which made Cornelius collapse forward. You messily drove your fist into his eye socket, pushing him back, away from the control panel. The doctor fell onto the ground and you kicked at his skull with the heel of your shoe.
There was blood dripping down your chin. Your nose was throbbing. You were disoriented, vision splitting into blurry duplicates. Dizzy, you dropped to your haunches, crawling as far away as you could from Cornelius.
Noises were coming from the other side of the lab. Where Logan was.
Wincing, you were just about to turn to look before Cornelius’ hand wound around your ankle, yanking you to him with surprising strength. He punched you in the shoulder first, trying to aim for your face. You flailed your limbs, attempting to kick your feet, but he had trapped your legs between his. A struggling whimper shook your lips, breaths coming in fast, staccato beats. The second time he punched you, he hit you dead on. Your vision went dark for a good ten seconds. You could tell one of your eyelids had already swollen shut.
Desperate and panicked, you lurched upwards and bit into whatever you could. You sank your teeth in until red squirted straight into your other eye, and copper flooded your mouth once more. An ear-piercing scream rattled through the lab.
As you furiously wiped away the dark ichor from your eyes, you realized that he wasn’t screaming because of you—not really, at least.
He was screaming because there were three adamantium claws protruding from his abdomen.
And just behind him was Logan.
A terrified garble tore through your own throat. A string of nonsensical words fell from you—ranging from cries for help, prayers to whatever god would listen to you, and incoherent sobbing as pure terror ripped through you, whole and consuming.
There were still wires hanging off of the man’s starkly naked form, dragging against the ground behind him. His skin glistened with the residue from the chemical bath, droplets still falling from his damp hair and rolling over his defined muscles. With a near animalistic growl, he threw Cornelius’ lifeless corpse to the side, his adamantium claws streaking down both your arm and your side in the process. Another wail erupted from you and you curled into a fetal position, cradling your injuries and fruitlessly trying to put as much pressure as you could against the wounds. Blood seeped from you, staining the once-pristine floors with a growing pool of liquid rubies. You were light-headed, tilting your head up to look at Logan standing in front of you. Horror painted your insides with a thick, tar-like substance.
He made no move to hurt you any further, only regarding you with dark, distant eyes, like he just could just barely recognize your face. He remembered you.
You wanted to plead—beg him for mercy.
You cracked your shaking lips open, but the words lodged firmly in your throat, a sob rippling through your lungs. Hot tears streamed down your bloodied cheeks in fat dollops.
The mutant surprised you, then.
He spoke.
“I am…” he croaked out, seeming slightly miffed. It took him another couple of seconds to articulate his next words. His brain had been fried over and over again, the English language was something he had nearly completely forgotten. “I am… dead? I remember… death. Dying.”
You were shaking uncontrollably now. Whether it be because of the terror, or because of the insurmountable blood loss, you weren’t quite sure. Most likely both.
Voice warbling, you croaked out, “No, Logan. You’re not dead.”
His dark pupils darted to the pool of blood by your side, then moved down to his own hands and claws, practically soaked red. His chest heaved.
Slowly, you raised a trembling hand to point at the winding metal staircase at the back of the laboratory. “Run, Logan,” you hoarsely whispered. “They’ll be here any minute. You have to go before they catch you again. Go upstairs—there’s a rear window you can escape through.”
The man narrowed his eyes at you.
He stalked away wordlessly, leaving only droplets of Cornelius’ blood in his wake.
The tension melted away from your body instantaneously. The urge to cry laid heavy on your conscience, but you shoved down the tears and slowly pushed yourself to your feet, placing pressure on your wounds as you staggered onto your feet. With a grunt, you limped to Cornelius’ corpse, kneeling down to rip his belt and shirt off.
A low groan rumbled from your chest when you tied the belt over the deep gash Logan had inflicted on you, wrapping his shirt tightly over the leaking wound on your waist. Whether it was an accident or a purposeful move, you had no clue. Immediately, blood seeped through the fabric. You decided not to pay it any mind.
Faintly, you registered shouting from the other end of the barricaded door. You were running out of time.
Huffing a curse, you struggled to your feet and stepped over Cornelius, bee-lining for the metal staircase. Upstairs, you could see the droplets of blood Weapon X had left behind. You swallowed heavily, before following them to the open window.
“Fuck,” you coarsely spat out, glancing down to see snow blanketing the ground nearly at knee-length. Trembling already, you hopped off the windowsill and onto the fire escape’s ladder, gingerly placing each foot on the lower rung until you were near enough to jump down.
The wind whispered frost into your ears as you looked forward, into the dark forest.
They would kill you if you went back inside. It seemed like you had no other choice but to follow Logan. He was your best chance at survival.
Your sigh misted into an opaque fog as you followed the trail of blood on the snowy forest floor.
Tumblr media
It’d been hours.
You had lost nearly all sensation in your feet, numbed by the frigid cold. You supposed that was one upside of the frost—you could no longer feel the pain of your wounds, despite the large blooming of crimson seeping through Cornelius’ shirt. The lids of your eyes were heavy, drooping closed every few seconds before struggling back open. You wrapped your arms around yourself lethargically, struggling to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Logan was only a couple minutes in front of you. At least—you thought he was. Hell, he could’ve been five hours away by now, considering how out of it you were.
You swallowed your throat, dry and scratchy from the whipping wind of the forest.
Not even ten steps later, you found yourself tipping forward, succumbing to the exhaustion.
The snow was suddenly flush against your cheek, the world now angled vertically. Black spots danced about your sight. You only barely registered the pain of hitting the ground, a wooden stick poking uncomfortably against your leg. You couldn’t be bothered to move. You couldn’t feel anything—yet it felt like you were burning alive. Perhaps it was the blood loss. Maybe the shame of failure. Or it could’ve simply just been the fact that you’ve been wading around in the snow for hours. A small breath slipped from your lungs and your eyes fell shut.
A nap wouldn’t hurt… would it?
Just as the corners of your vision waned dark, the shadow of a figure loomed over you.
The last thing you felt right before you succumbed to the cold were a pair of warm arms winding around you.
Tumblr media
Lights—far too many, far too bright. Your heavy eyelids narrowed as soon as they blinked open, and you gingerly turned your face to the side to avoid the glare of the harsh luminosity.
There were a couple things you registered in your early stages of rousing. You were no longer cold, bundled in several layers of woolen blankets on what you presumed to be an infirmary bed. You could feel the slight pressure of a proper bandage around your waist, which still throbbed but wasn’t nearly as painful as you remembered.
And there was a man in a lab coat beside you.
You stared at his back as he busied themself with colorful pills and bottles. Your throat was so dry, it took you several moments to muster yourself to croak out a warbling, “Hello?”
The man seemed to jump out of his shoes, turning abruptly with wide eyes behind thick, rectangular spectacles. “Oh, you’re awake! How are you feeling?” He shuffled to your side, watching you with evident concern.
You winced as you propped yourself up on one arm, slowly pulling yourself to sit up on the bed without putting too much weight on your wound. “Like I’ve been hit by a truck.”
He pursed his lips. “That’s unfortunately quite expected—you’ll be feeling that way for a little bit before you get better. You took quite the beating out there—I tried my best to patch you up but I’m afraid the lacerations you got on your abdomen and arm will scar forever. Those bruises on your face, however, will be gone in a week, two tops.” The man paused, as if wanting to ask you a question, but thought better of it, shaking his head. “I’m gonna call somebody here to come talk to you. And I’ll go get you some water and food. Is that okay?”
Still reeling over everything, you nodded slowly, watching as he strode out of the infirmary.
Not a minute later, you heard the smooth rolling of wheels against tile. A bald man on a wheelchair swiftly entered the room, greeting you with a genuine smile and a bow of his head.
“You must be Doctor L/N,” he said, stopping just by your bedside. “I’m Charles Xavier. Now, I’m sure you have many questions—so let me try to answer them. You’re currently in Xavier’s School of Gifted Youngsters. I sensed your distress through my own telepathic mutation and had some of my X-Men go pick you and Logan up.”
At the mention of Logan, your muscles tensed, and your gaze snapped upwards to meet his.
“Logan… he’s here?”
Charles tilted his head, thinking back to the burly, pacing man in his office. “Yes, quite.”
“Is he okay?” you asked softly.
A wisp of a smile graced Charles’ lips. “He’s fine. A bit disoriented, but his memories are steadily returning. You, I’m more worried about. I know you’re a mutant, Y/N.”
Something dangerous flashed behind your irises. “I’ve never purposefully used my powers on anyone, if that’s what you’re asking. What happened to Logan—was because I was foolish enough to trust bad men.”
“I’m not blaming you, Y/N. You thought you were doing the right thing. Besides, the group who tricked you have been apprehended by the X-Men. They won’t be conducting anymore experiments on mutants,” he said, not unkindly. “I wanted to give you the liberty to explain what your mutation is… and if you can control it.”
“It’s only happened once before,” you whispered, fiddling with your nails anxiously. “I can manipulate matter, I think. Rearrange atoms and molecules in space. Once I start, I can’t control it—so I don’t ever intend to use it again.”
Charles regarded you for a moment, before nodding. “That’s quite the commitment. Would you mind me asking why?”
You hesitated, your teeth worrying into your bottom lip. “The first time I found out about my powers, someone died because of me. There was a car crash and my friend tried helping me and I… I panicked—” Tears quickly blurred your vision and you hiccuped, stopping to furiously wipe them away. “Shards of glass flew everywhere and…”
You trailed off, releasing a frustrated sigh.
“The cops ruled it as an accident, but I knew it was my fault. I moved out of town, started doing research with a university in molecular biology in hopes of finding out more about myself, when I got an offer to work with this company that ‘helped’ mutants. They lied to me. They were experimenting on them—and I should’ve known better. I thought I was saving Logan’s life.”
Charles hummed in thought, before shaking his head. “It’s not your fault. It was an accident—you didn’t know how to control your powers. But we can help you with that. If you stay, that is.”
Mouth parting in surprise, you leaned forward slightly in confusion. “You… you want me to stay here? After everything I’ve done? What will Logan think?”
“He knows it’s not your fault. There’s a reason he didn’t kill you—and a reason he carried you through the snow until we found the two of you. The deal is still on the table—just think about it. You’d make a valuable asset to our team.” A genuine smile etched over his face before he asked, “Would you perhaps want to see Logan?”
“No!” you exclaimed, a little too quickly. Charles’ eyebrows rose. Arms wrapping around yourself, you gently shook your head, repeating in a quieter tone, “No, thank you.”
The man observed you rather pensively before humming, “Alright, then. I’ll let you get some rest.”
“Thank you.” Despite the tautness of your tone, Charles knew you were wholly grateful. He bowed his head, and wheeled out of the infirmary room, leaving you with your thoughts.
To none of his surprise, leaning against the wall right next to the door, was Logan.
There was a cheap cigar wedged between his lips, hands clutched over the dog tags around his neck. He cocked his head to Charles as a greeting, gruffing out, “Are they alright?”
It was rather amusing to see such a brooding, stoic man lose his wits over a person he barely knew. Logan cared about you, and that made Charles all the more curious.
“I think Y/N’s going to be just fine.”
Logan huffed in something akin to relief, blowing out a puff of opaque smoke. After a long stretch of silence, Logan queried in a strained voice, “Can I see them?”
“It’s best if you give Y/N some time. They’re still a bit rattled over everything,” said the professor, patiently. “Have you gotten your memories back?”
“I think so. I remember most of my life before getting kidnapped. I taught self defense here, right?” Logan muttered, though it was clear he wasn’t entirely sure of himself. When Charles grinned and nodded, Logan spoke again, hesitant. “I remember Y/N. Their face, watching me through the glass. Talking about curing me—helping me. I remember the doctor there trying to kill them once they found out the truth.”
A low growl rumbled within the grizzled man’s chest, and he slumped further against the wall. “What are you going to do with Y/N now?”
“Well, that’s up to them. They are a mutant after all—I offered them a place here. Whether they stay or not is not for me to say.”
This seemed to pique Logan’s interest. “Y/N’s a mutant?”
“Yes,” Charles stated matter-of-factly. “Though, they don’t use their powers because it’s far too dangerous. Which is why I proposed that they stay so we can help. Now, if you excuse me, Logan, I’ve got to grade some papers. Have a good night.”
“Yeah,” replied Logan, distant. He saluted Charles with two fingers as he wheeled away. “G’night.”
Tumblr media
The rest of the X-Men warmed up to you rather quickly. Hank would joke around with you while he did your daily check-up, and Jean, Ororo and Anna introduced themselves with sweet smiles and baked goods that they made just for you. They’d stay with you in the infirmary until late at night, playing boisterous rounds of Uno and exchanging stories of their own childhood mishaps with their mutation. Kurt Wagner was a delight to speak to—you quite enjoyed your conversations with the lively teleporter. Scott Summers was a handsome fellow, who had acquired a broken arm from a training accident, which gave him a good excuse to hang around you. Charles often visited you as well, each time asking once again if you were planning on making your residence here permanent. He even offered you a job to teach the kids here some science—which you kindly declined.
The friendly nature of the mansion and the people residing there really made you want to stay.
But you knew you shouldn’t.
Especially not when Logan was so clearly avoiding you—it was a tell-tale sign that you were definitely overstaying your welcome.
You’d only seen him a small handful of times since you arrived. Lingering in the hallways, passing by the door, and once in Charles’ office when you dropped by to ask him a question. He had stalked away with nary a sound, not even bothering to spare you a glance.
So it was quite the surprise when he stepped into the infirmary while you were packing a small duffel bag with travel necessities nearly two weeks later, practically bristling at the thought of you leaving. Leaving when he hadn’t even said a single word to you. His jaw clenched.
“L… Logan?” you asked, nearly dropping the shirt you were holding out of shock. “What, uh, what are you doing here?”
He stared at you for a long while, unsure of what to say. The man was on his way to a bar for a beer or two before he caught sight of you practically flying across the room in a rush to pack. He was not prepared for this conversation at all. A part of him wished you could just read his thoughts like Charles could, because his mind was running a mile a minute. There were just too many things he should’ve said, too many things he waited too long to say. And none of it seemed to want to come out.
So he opted to heave out a grand sigh, leaning against the wall and crossing his arms, not once breaking eye contact with you. You had awkwardly resigned to folding the last few pieces of clothing, stuffing them into the bag.
The action prompted Logan to husk out, “You’re leaving.”
It was more of a statement than a question. Your muscles tensed at his voice. He seemed angry—frustrated—and you weren’t entirely sure if it was directed towards you, or himself.
“I have no place here,” you whispered, words nearly lost to the deafening silence.
Logan’s brows furrowed. “This is a school—a home for mutants. You belong here.”
Fixing him with a curious expression, you zipped up your bag, shaking your head. “It’s not fair to you, Logan. I can’t just keep pretending that me being around doesn’t make you uncomfortable.”
“So you’re leaving because of me.” Logan pushed off the wall, stalking towards you until he stood just in front of you. This close, you could smell the faint cigar smoke on him, accompanied with a fresh pine-like aroma. He smelled like the forest, like sitting in front of a fire place with a mug of coffee cradled in your palms. A lump formed in your throat, grip tightening on the strap of the bag.
“I’m leaving for you,” you corrected. “And I’m sorry. I’m sorry I did all those awful things to you. I know it doesn’t absolve me of anything but—I really did think I was helping you. Oh… and thank you. For coming back and saving me.”
The hardness to Logan’s features seemed to soften just a bit. He watched you keenly, studying the genuine tenderness to your eyes, the way your lips screwed to the side in a fruitless effort to stave away the tears.
“Hey,” he said, stepping even closer. “I forgive you, bub. I forgive you, alright? Stop beating yourself up. Charles told me you thought you were helping me—and I believe it. It wasn’t your fault. Besides, the man truly responsible is dead, thanks to you. You helped me escape, remember?”
Your eyes flickered from the ground to meet his. “Of course I remember.”
A low rumble resonated from Logan’s chest. “If anything, I should be the one apologizing for damn near killing you. I found you passed out in the snow and I—I was terrified. I carried you, worried to death the entire time, thinkin’ you were going to die on me. But Charles found us—and you lived. We both lived. I want you to stay. Hell, if you want to leave, then go ahead. The door’s wide open. But don’t let it be because of me.”
He watched as your shoulders trembled ever so slightly, then sagged as you loosened your hold on the duffel bag. Relief seeped through his bones. For a moment, he was scared you were really going to leave.
Without another word, Logan nodded, stepping back. He turned to walk out of the infirmary, itching for nice, cold beer. Or two. Probably five. Oh, who was he kidding. He could blaze through twenty bottles and barely feel buzzed.
“Logan,” you called out.
He stopped by the doorway without turning.
“Thank you,” you croaked, wiping away a stray tear. A happy one. Maybe you could even ask if the job Charles had offered you was still on the table.
A minuscule smile played by the corner of his lips. He ducked his head, and strode away.
Tumblr media
ONE MONTH LATER.
The snow was thicker than ever before. Nearly everybody was outside, either making rotund little snowmen with carrots for noses or playing a game of dodgeball. You caught sight of Kurt teleporting just above Rogue to dump a large armful of snow atop her head. You huffed out a laugh from behind the window when she started spewing out a long string of curses, cheeks tinted red from the cold.
Movement from your peripheral vision made you turn your head to look out the other window. You were met with the lovely sight of Logan hauling lumber nearly double his size from just over the hill, a layer of snowflakes icing the top of his dark tresses. You shook your head, wondering why he hadn’t asked anyone for help.
Ever the lone wolf, he was.
Commotion from the other window made you turn once more, watching with a snort when the kids began pelting Logan with dozens of snowballs, laughing with unbridled glee. The chuckles died away when the burly man dropped all the wood he was carrying, rolling up his sleeves with a wolfish grin. They screamed, scurrying away whilst hiccuping with laughter.
“Quite chilly outside,” Charles’ voice broke out from beside you. “Come have a hot chocolate with me.”
“If this is your way of bribing me to grade your classes’ papers, I’ll have you know I’m not easily swayed,” you teased, though fell into step beside him as he led you into his office. “I’ve got my own class to attend to.”
Despite only knowing Charles for around a month now, the two of you have grown very fond of each other. He was like a big brother to you—just as the rest of the X-Men had gradually become your family.
The professor scoffed. “That was one time! I just wanted your expertise, was all.” He gestured to the array of mugs on his desk, then to the thermos right beside them. “Please, help yourself. Paper grading wasn’t really what I wanted to discuss with you. I have another proposition to make you.”
You arched a brow while pouring the both of you a generous serving of thick, creamy hot chocolate. “Always with the propositions, Charles,” you said, sipping on your drink with a hum. “What is it?”
“I want you to join our missions.”
The lighthearted nature of your conversation visibly seemed to sour. “What?” you asked, placing your mug down. “Charles, I thought we made this clear—”
“You don’t use your powers, yes. I’m well aware. Let me rephrase. I want to help you… er, reacquaint yourself with your abilities. Just to try it out. And perhaps if all goes smoothly, you’d make a remarkably valuable member on our team. I promise, if we try it out and things go south, I’ll let it go. Never speak a word of it to anybody.” There was an earnest tone to his voice, hopeful and contagiously optimistic.
Your finger traced the rim of the mug, pursing your lips in thought. “Just to try it out?”
He nodded. “Just to try it out. I’m curious for you, Y/N. Haven’t you ever wanted to be able to control your powers?”
“More than anything in the entire world,” you murmured quietly, voice cracking.
It took me a while to control my powers, too, Charles said, but his lips weren’t moving. It took you a moment to realize that he was speaking to you telepathically. The key is patience. And I do believe with enough time, you can gain control of yours as well. Imagine how many children who are struggling with their own mutations you’d be able to help if you had a grasp of your powers.
“You’re one hell of a motivational speaker,” you snarked after a moment to mull over his offer, despite the smile fiddling at the corner of your lips. “Alright, Charles. You convinced me. When do we start?”
Tumblr media
The large, antique grandfather clock in your office merrily trilled thrice just as the hands turned to three in the afternoon. You glanced away from the homework papers you were grading, before filing them away for you to finish off later. You were in need of a long overdue break. Rising from your chair, you groaned softly as your bones popped with the stretch, rolling your shoulders to ease the mild tension.
Training all night with Charles yesterday certainly took both a physical and mental toll on you.
You needed to get out of your office for a bit—take a walk to clear your head. As you donned your coat and a dark yellow beanie to tuck just over the top of your ears because they grew particularly cold in the harsh winters, you strode out the doors.
Before you could make your way to the snowy outdoors, you passed by one of the training rooms, where you heard a familiar gruff voice.
Logan was teaching a group of about a dozen kids—self-defense class, if you could recall. He was moving his arms about animatedly, demonstrating with a dummy that seemed to be a brush away from falling apart. The kids were watching with rapt fascination, gasping in unison when Logan speared the poor thing straight through the abdomen.
A small grin splayed over your features as you leaned against the doorway.
A young boy raised his hand, asking, “When are we gonna be able to practice?”
Logan sheathed his claws and crossed his arms. “I’ll let you practice with your own dummies next week. But for now you just watch and learn—Y/N? What’re you doin’ here?”
Blinking at suddenly being shoved into the spotlight, you sheepishly stepped forward and waved to the kids. “Just wanted to see what all the fuss is about with Mr. Howlett’s famous self-defense class. Heard it’s the students’ second favorite class.”
“Oh, yeah?” Logan chuckled, arching an eyebrow to the rest of the class. “And what would be their favorite, then?”
You grinned. “Mine, of course.” The kids groaned in protest, though laughing at your blatant sarcasm. You waved them away with a roll of your eyes. “Oh, hush. You guys love science.”
Snorting, Logan propped his fists onto his hips and directed a roguish grin towards you. “It’s not a competition—even though they obviously like me better.” He turned back to the dummy with a nod. “Anyways, where was I—er, yes, Rogue?”
The student’s arm was stuck up in the air, an excited grin painted over her lips. “Why don’t you and Professor L/N try dueling each other? I’m sure it’d teach us a lot more than that dummy,” Rogue drawled in her thick Southern accent. The rest of the students murmured their agreement, bobbing their heads to the idea. Besides, they were all curious about your infamous mutation—they’d never seen you in action before.
Immediately, your stomach dropped and you were quick to shake your head just enough for Logan to see. His features seemed to soften with understanding.
“That’s enough, settle down,” Logan gruffed. “Professor L/N came here to watch, it would be unfair to spring an entire demonstration on them without any warning. The dummy’ll do just fine. Look, it’s in tip-top shape!” His burly fist wrapped around the dummy’s throat.
And the head popped right off.
Logan blinked, stunned. The class burst into laughter. You joined them, hiding a smile behind your palm. Logan watched you keenly, before a crooked smile broke through his rough features, chuckling lowly under his breath.
Tumblr media
“I’m sorry about them,” he said, making his way to you once he had dismissed all his pupils (though not before assigning them a butt-load of homework that made all of them groan exasperatedly). “I know you weren’t expecting that.”
Waving his words away, you were quick to shake your head. “No, no, it’s alright. I’m just… not entirely comfortable with using my powers yet. Charles and I are still working through it—I’m not really at the stage of combating an experienced mutant as yourself. Anyways, I don’t want to keep you. I’m sure you’ve got a ton of school-related errands to run.”
You crossed your arms with a hesitant quirk of your lips to assure him that you were okay, watching him keenly as he tried to mirror your expression. It came out more as an awkward stretch of his mouth, so he dropped it soon after.
Logan sucked on the rooftop of his mouth, before stoutly nodding, and turned around to walk away. You’d mentioned he probably had school-related errands to run. Hah. As if Logan ever worked outside of the classes he taught. All he had in mind was to head over to a bar and drink as many beers as the barkeeper would allow him.
By the time he reached the doorway, Logan abruptly stopped in his tracks. He could feel your eyes watching him go, practically searing the skin on the back of his neck.
“God damn it,” he whispered quietly beneath his breath. He couldn’t just leave you alone. Not when his class thrust you into the spotlight like that. Definitely not because he felt an irrepressible urge to spend more time with you. And especially not because he thought that little grin of yours was so darned cute. Of course not.
He turned back to you with a set expression, jaw clenched tight. If you didn’t know any better, he appeared to be angry. Or constipated. One of the two.
Either way, you were surprised to hear him addressing you by the doorway, in a brusque tone.
“The school day’s over. I’m heading out to grab a drink. You wanna come with?”
It took you a moment to respond, a little too frazzled to formulate a coherent thought.
“Yeah,” you finally answered, slightly breathless. Logan pointedly looked away when you beamed at him. “Yeah, I’d love to.”
Tumblr media
His thigh was pressed up against yours. You could feel the heat radiating off of him through his jeans. His sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, which leaned against the bar’s countertop, palms cradled around his tenth (or was it his eleventh?) frosty mug of beer.
You were slowly nursing your fifth drink, snorting into the rim when Logan made an off-hand comment about how stupid Scott looked on one of their most recent missions.
“I take it you don’t like him?”
“Who?” Logan asked, turning his head so he could look at you. Beneath the dim amber-glow of the bar’s lighting, your skin appeared flushed, eyes just a tad brighter. You were too damned close to him.
Nose wrinkling, you nudged his shoulder with yours. “Scott, dummy.”
His eyebrow rose. “Why, do you want me to like him? Do you like him?”
The questions made you splutter beer all over the counter as you choke-laughed, wiping your lips with the back of your hand. “You’re not answering my question, Lo.” You began giggling again, before downing the rest of your mug, swaying slightly on the leather stool. Logan had half a mind to clamp his palm over your thigh to keep you from tipping over.
“I like Scott, yeah. He’s nice. I know he has a thing for Jean though—I’ve been trying to convince him to ask her out but Scott keeps saying it isn’t the right time. Jean likes him all the same, too. They’re just really stupid.” A fond smile grew on your lips and you began laughing once more.
Logan watched you in amusement, just before ordering another beer for himself. You were a giggly drunk, Logan realized, as you buried your face into your hands as uncontrollable laughter shook through you.
“Alright, that’s enough drinks for you. What’s got you crackin’ up, bub?” Logan sighed in part-exasperation and part-mirth when you leaned back so far your stool began to capsize. He was quick to shoot his arm out and yank you back forward. This only made you laugh harder, for reasons unbeknownst to him.
“I just—” You had to pause to heave a breath through your cackling. “Your hair just looks so funny—why does it stand up like that?”
God, you were so drunk. Your hand reached out to pat down the tufts of hair sticking upwards, but missed the mark and instead brushed over his jaw, slightly prickly with day-old stubble.
Logan watched you carefully as your laughter died away, a strange look shadowing your once gleeful one. His eyes flickered down to your lips, which were parted ever so slightly in thought. “You look much younger than you used to—back in that tank.”
Gently, he captured your wrist and stroked his thumb over your palm once, before setting it back down by your side. “Let’s go home. You’re drunk.”
“Yes, sir. ” You mock-saluted as he helped you off the stool and offered his arm when you nearly toppled over your own feet.
You swayed to and fro when walking back to the mansion, hiccupping between every giggle as you told Logan about this one time Kurt teleported into the kitchen and scared you so badly you hit him with a frying pan. Logan let himself laugh at that one.
By the time the two of you reached your room, a good night was right on the tip of his tongue before it was yanked away from him when you grabbed him by the shirt collar and tugged him towards you in a drunken fashion, emboldened by the alcohol coursing through your system. A startled noise fell from his lungs, and the corner of your eyes wrinkled as you smiled. You swiftly planted a soft kiss to his cheek, nose slotted right against his cheekbone. He was frozen to the spot, unsure of how to react.
“You’re a sweetheart. Good night, Lo,” you murmured into his skin with a lopsided smile.
You were drunk. So very drunk.
Logan had to remind himself of this when you pulled away. You wouldn’t have done that if you were sober.
The door groaned as you pushed it open, moonlight spilling over your features. You promptly slammed the door in his face, and he heard you giggling behind it just a second after.
He wasn’t able to snap out of his reverie until an entire minute later.
“G’night, bub,” he mumbled, knowing full and well that you were probably passed out on top of your bed by now. No doubt you’d have a raging hangover tomorrow. He shook his head, before heading off to his own room, a warm sensation clawing at his chest.
Tumblr media
The familiar voice of a certain professor rang out across the kitchen, and you groaned at the sudden noise. The hangover headache pulsating through your skull wasn’t nearly as bad as it was when you had initially woken up, but it was still there. And Charles most certainly wasn’t helping.
“Morning,” he exclaimed with a knowing smile, eyeing you with a look you misliked. You grumbled under your breath, before shoveling a spoonful of scrambled eggs into your mouth so you didn’t have to respond to him. Charles didn’t seem to mind, continuing his amiable chatter. “I noticed you weren’t in last night.”
Humming in confirmation, you lifted your mug to guzzle down more apple juice.
“Funny coincidence,” Charles quipped, wheeling up right beside you. Without even looking at him, you just knew that his eyebrows were raised suggestively. “Logan was also nowhere in the mansion yesterday.”
You scowled, then set the mug down. “We just had a couple drinks together.”
“Mmh, right.” Charles narrowed his eyes, clearly in disbelief. “Well, nice to see that the two of you have… warmed up to each other. I’ve got to head back now but don’t forget about our session at three—just because you’re hungover doesn’t mean you can skip out on me.”
A discontent noise erupted from your lungs and you stuck your tongue out at his back when he turned away.
“I saw that,” said Charles, amusement lacing his tone. “Well, I didn’t actually see it. I know you did it, though.”
And with that, he left.
You groaned, before lowering your head to rest against the cool kitchen countertop.
A moment later, a voice disrupted the rare-found quiet. Logan.
“You alright, bub?”
When you lifted your face up, you blinked away the colorful blurs spotting your vision, Logan coming into view. He was wearing a simple white tank top tucked into a pair of faded jeans, hands shoved into his pockets. You eyed his biceps warily, which glistened with a thin sheen of sweat. You swallowed down the nervous lump in your throat.
“I’m good. What’re you up to?”
“Couldn’t sleep,” Logan replied sheepishly. “Was in the training room all night.”
He leaned against the doorway, a mild smile itching at his lips upon observing your disheveled state. Your hair was mussed, wearing a simple wrinkly white shirt and a pair of grey shorts. The expression on your face told him that you were still working off the hangover.
“Wanna talk about it?” you asked, patting the seat beside you.
Logan pursed his lips, before moving towards you. “Yeah,” he said, swinging his leg over the chair. “Yeah, that’d be nice.”
Tumblr media
The cold of the porcelain sent a shiver up your spine as you slumped against the toilet seat, grumbling under your breath. Logan watched you keenly as he dampened a towel, bunching it up in his hand, kneeling down in front of you.
Your first mission as an X-Man was nothing short of disastrous.
You’d warned Charles—told him you weren’t ready to use your powers in an uncontrolled setting—but he’d assured you that you’d be fine. Besides, the rest of your teammates were there for you.
Except the Brotherhood had taken down everybody else and you were the last person standing—and you lost control of your powers. Again.
It wasn’t until Logan stumbled towards you, pushing through the tornado of glass shards whirling around your hyperventilating form, barely even noticing the cuts appearing over his skin. His healing factor was quick to weave together the broken skin—all that mattered was getting to you. Your explosive powers were enough to severely alarm the Brotherhood, and they thankfully retreated soon after your outburst, though he doubted they’d stay away for too long.
Logan had grabbed you, pulling you close until your face was flush against his chest, cradling you atop the cold, hardened dirt, mumbling sweet nothings that you couldn’t really make out into your hair. When the air stilled, you pulled your face away, tear-stricken and bloodied.
The incident was far too similar to the first time you used your powers—when your best friend’s life was taken as a consequence.
A single, searing tear meandered down your face at the memory, and you bit down on your lip to quell the sob rising in your throat.
“Hey, bub.” Logan took your chin between his fingers, grounding you back to reality. It was just him and you—in a small bathroom. He was close, so close that you could see the buzzing lights reflected in the burnt umber of his irises, or how he had a small, faded birthmark just beside his left eye. He tilted your head up so you’d meet his concerned gaze. “It’s okay. You did good. You drove ‘em away. We would’ve all been in hot shit if it weren’t for you. Storm was knocked unconscious, Kitty and Rogue had their powers stripped away, Scott was no match against Quicksilver, and the rest of us were this close to being ripped apart. You did good.”
Your stomach lurched uneasily. “Feels more like I fucked everything up. I told Charles I wasn’t ready.”
Instead of a reply, Logan merely sighed, shaking his head. Softly he swiped the damp towel across the bloody gashes on your face, his fingers on your chin moving to cup your other cheek. His palm was cold against the flushed heat of your face.
“I hate seeing you like this,” he whispered, the usual gruff tone of his voice nowhere to be found. “Wish you had the healing factor instead of me.”
“Nah,” you replied softly, wincing as you leaned forward, closer to him. The large slash over your abdomen from a broken metal pipe Magneto sent hurtling your way burned with every shift of your body. “You’d be dead a thousand times over if it weren’t for your healing factor. And I’m really glad you’re not dead.”
The towel on your cheekbone paused for a second. Logan scrutinized you for a moment, before returning to the task at hand. “Yeah, I guess I’m glad, too.”
A comfortable silence thickened between the two of you, only interrupted by your quiet groans of pain, which were always followed up by Logan’s sheepish apology.
“I still haven’t graded the kids’ homework papers—they’re expecting it back on Monday,” you gritted out, hand shooting forward to grip Logan’s shoulder, nails digging into his collarbone when he moved down to clean up the shallow wound across your torso.
He quirked an eyebrow towards you in amusement. “You’re crazy, you know that? Almost died today and all you’re thinkin’ about is grading papers. Pfft.”
“That’s not all I’m thinking about,” you weakly protested, smacking his hand away when he playfully pinched your thigh.
After wiping away all the crusted blood and dirt on your brand new X-Men suit, he was satisfied to see that your gash wasn’t deep enough to need stitches. He hauled himself onto the edge of the bathtub so he was sitting right across from you. “Yeah? What else are you thinking about?”
“You.” The single word came out as nothing but a low mutter.
“I don’t know whether to be flattered or worried,” he replied with a roguish grin, pupils darting between your eyes and your raw-bitten lips.
You huffed out a laugh. “Maybe both.” His forehead leaned against yours as you breathed him in, relishing in his calming presence. “I really like you, Lo.”
Those five words were what spurred him to push forward, slanting his lips onto yours, stealing your breath away. You made a small noise of surprise, before practically melting into him, looping your sore arms over his neck and tugging him all the closer. He kissed you slowly, careful about where to place his hands, because your body was littered with fresh scars. He settled on just above your waist, smoothing his thumbs out over the back of your ribs, as if to constantly reassure himself that you were here. You were okay.
His nose bumped into yours, and it hurt to smile—oh, it practically burned with each kiss—but you smiled into him anyway. Because for Logan, it was worth the pain.
“Ow,” you lightly complained when he accidentally knocked his knee against your busted one. “Watch it, old man.”
A growl caught in his throat. “You know, I was gonna say I really liked you, too, but I don’t think that applies anymore.”
You burst into a fit of laughter, clutching at your stomach a second later, moaning out with pain. “Don’t make me laugh! You ass!”
He could only smile at that, roping you towards him once more with his fingers anchored over your jaw. This time, the kiss was hot and heavy, more confident. Your hands ran through his hair, gently tugging at his roots, which made pleasant shivers spider down his spine. It was needy with want, his kisses wandering from your lips to the apples of your cheeks, to your trembling throat.
The hand on your back was only starting to traverse downwards when the door flung open, revealing a smug Rogue and an awfully mortified Kurt just behind her.
“I knew it! I knew y’all were a thing!” Rogue called out, clapping her hands excitedly. “Scott totally owes me twenny bucks!”
She scuttled away gleefully, leaving the blue elf staring at the two of you with wide, amber eyes, completely still.
“You can close the door, Kurt,” you hesitantly told him, before Logan could snarl out something unsavory. You were uncomfortably perched halfway between the toilet seat and Logan’s lap, with his hand flush over your ass.
“Er… right… I’ll just use the bathroom upstairs,” he breathily stumbled, before teleporting away in a hazy cloud of sulphuric fumes.
“Damn elf didn’t close the door. Of fuckin’ course.” Logan groaned, pulling himself away from you with a scowl. “You alright, darlin’?”
An embarrassed grin replaced the initial shock of being found. “Yeah, I think so. You?”
“Worst night of my life. The entire school’s gonna know by tomorrow,” Wolverine grumbled, before fondly glancing towards you. “Wouldn’t have it any other way, though.”
You hobbled up with his support, pressing a sweet, chaste kiss to his cheek. “You think the entire team bet money on us?”
“Oh, yeah,” Logan chortled as he helped you out of the communal bathroom, heading upstairs to your bedroom. “Charlie bet a hundred bucks on us. I heard him talking to Storm about it.”
You side-eyed him with amusement. “So did he win?”
“Nope,” Logan said, popping the ‘p’, looking far too smug to be ripping away a hundred dollars from his old friend. “Thought neither of us would have the balls to confess until next month.”
“You’re sick,” you said, wrinkling your nose. “Did you kiss me just to spite him?”
“I kissed you because I wanted to,” countered Logan, shoving the door to your room open with his shoulder. “Professor losing a hundred bucks was just the cherry on top, you know?”
You sank onto your bed, dragging Logan with you, barely giving him enough time to slam the door shut. “Yeah,” you mumbled, pulling him into yet another kiss. “You’re awful, Lo.”
“Love you, too.”
Placing your hand on his chest, you pulled away hesitantly, unsure if you heard him right. “Yeah?”
Logan smiled, all warm and genuine. “Yeah.”

Logan Howlett x Fem! Reader
genre: fluff
Summary: pregnant reader doesn’t know how to tell Logan that she’s Pregnant, but the beans spill at Erik and Raven’s wedding.
I’ve been off all day, I can’t seem to find a time or a way to tell Logan the news, and it’s killing me but I’m nervous he’ll react badly. Logan and I are currently at Erik and Raven’s wedding, which they decided to at the school that my brother, Charles, opened to help mutants learn to control their powers and live in a society with humans. We’re currently eating the we got from the buffet and it’s delicious. I slide my hands down my dress brushing off any crumbs of food. As I stood up, I decided to slip out onto the deck to get some fresh air, once my foot touched the ground outside, and the cool air hit my skin, I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. My hair immediately blew into my face, causing me to swipe my hair to the side. It’s not until a few moments later that I notice Logan standing by the door watching me. His deep voice calms me as he moves his hands to rest around my waist, hugging me from behind, "Hey bub, is everything alright? You’ve barely spoken a word all night? Normally you love talking and seeing everyone" the hot air from his mouth brushing against my neck. I relax my body against his my head nuzzling into his shoulder, I give him a simple response, "Yeah everything's fine, just been tired lately, came out for some air".
I feel him raise his brows into my neck, even though I wasn’t looking at him I could clearly the look on his face in my head. He knew I was lying to him, that there was something wrong. I sighed and just stared at the ground for a moment before he said, "Y/n, I'm not a telepath like your brother. I’m not able to read your mind when you’re upset and I can’t tell what you’re thinking right now, so please just tell me what’s going on in that pretty little head of yours. please. just so I can help ease your worries" Others might not have been able to tell if they heard him but I knew he was sincerely begging me to tell him. I sigh before turning my body to face him, his arms still wrapped around me. He lifted his head from my shoulder and leaned into my forehead instead, "Logan…I love you, so much. which is why I need for you to listen carefully and not freak out with what I’m about to tell you." I sigh, taking a deep breath, my eyes shut, and my head tilts downward slightly. Logan grabs my chin with his thumb and index finger lifting my head to face him again.“Love, please tell me… you’re making me nervous” I open my eyes again staring into his that are filled with love and worry for me, and that’s when I know I was worried for nothing. “Logan, my love…I’m pregnant.” his eyes widened, and for a split second, worry and fear overcame me again. But soon I’m being lifted into the air, with Logan peppering kisses onto my face repeatedly telling me I love you, and for just a split second I’m fairly certain he’s forgotten how to breathe. Then he finally sets me down and asks “I’m gonna be a father...like for real? seriously? This isn’t some cruel joke?”He takes my hands in his own and I rub my thumb against the back of his hand reassuring him. "It's not a joke. You know I'd never mess with you like that." Then suddenly I’m up in the air all over again, except this time he’s spinning me in circles laughing, my hands cup his face and I’m leaning my forehead into his. As he gently sets me back down I kiss his lips softly and say “I love you too, and I’m sure our little jellybean will love you just as much” Then his eyebrow arches in that way same way it always does, “Jeallybean? really? come on.” I look back at him, “Are you gonna be carrying a baby for nine months or am I? Answer carefully Mr. Howlett” he easily relents “you. you are. you’re going to be carrying my baby in that wonderful body of yours, Mrs. Howlett” I smiled, leaning up on my toes, and wrapping my arms around his neck. "We're gonna have a baby," I say, the giddy in my voice clearly evident. He rests his forehead against mine grinning down at me,”yes, yes we are, my love.” and I know all my fear and worry was for naught.

Sunshine and Flowers
Logan Howlett x plus size reader
Logan has had a great many loves in his long life and he’s over it. He doesn’t want to lose anyone else yet somehow, the annoying and very much younger art teacher at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, wormed her way into his heart.
Warnings: grumpy and sunshine, jealousy, Logan is a dick but we been knew, reader is kind of oblivious and touch starved, age-gap (reader is mid 20s and Logan is old as shit), Logan POV, bit of a slow burn, reader and Logan are Keely and Roy coded

“Yo Logan!” The seemingly ever present pounding in the older mutant’s temples suddenly got worse, the band around his forehead tightening as the young woman cheerfully skipped up to him without a care in the world. Her arm looped through his own, tucking herself into his side, like she always did.
“What d’ya want?” He grumbled. It was easier to just ask her outright than stay silent and her chatter away at him for an hour before she finally got to her point. Y/N beamed up at him, her e/c eyes sparkling. “Wellllll… I was wondering if you wanted to come with me on a little field trip with the kids! I was thinking of bringing them to the MET, you know because art.” She waved her right hand around as if to emphasise her point.
“No.” Logan said firmly.
“Aw please! Please Logan! Please! Please! Please!” He could practically feel his blood pressure rising as Y/N pleaded with him, pulling on his arm, acting like a complete child. Dear god, what had he done to deserve this?
With the huge throngs of students constantly being enrolled in the school, Charles had come up with the bright idea to introduce an art program to the children as a way of “expressing their creativity”. But what that actually meant was hiring a new teacher specifically for this class since no adult in the school had even an ounce of artistic talent.
And so six months ago, Y/N Y/L/N, a recent college graduate, strolled into the mansion and never left. Her gift to generate small stars gave her the remarkable ability to light her classroom in any way she wished, allowing her students the perfect lighting to create absolute masterpieces. And like her gift, she herself was a big ball of endless energy that constantly bounced around, latching onto whoever she came across, and more often than not, that person was Logan.
For some inexplicable reason, she gravitated to him, always seeking his approval, trying to get him to engage in activities with their students, among many many other things that made the older man truly resent when the final bell of the school day rang and she would float into his classroom, ranting about something or another. The only way he could get her to stop was by distracting her, usually by shoving her in the general direction of her best friend, Alex Summers.
But Havok was on a road trip with Sean and Peter for the next month, so he had been abandoned. Logan sighed as her grating voice made his sensitive ears ring, and the overpowering smell of her flowery perfume was a downright assault on his senses. “Logan, come on! It’ll be soooooo much fun! I’ll even buy you lunch after!”
While the temptation of free food was great, Logan knew it wouldn’t be worth spending the entire day with Y/N glued to his side, forcing him to do whatever she wanted. Taking a deep breath, prepared to let her down as gently as he could, given that his patience was hanging on by a thread, he would probably be more rude than he wanted to be, when he paused, really taking in the young woman.
“Is that my shirt?” He drawled, his dark eyes flicking over her plump body. She was wearing one of her typical outfits, white converse splashed with paint, shorts that very well could be called Daisy dukes, they were that short, with little flowers embroidered on them. Her chubby thighs almost entirely on view with one of his favourite red plaids on top of a black tank top instead of her usual blouse, making her sizeable cleavage pop. Y/N looked away bashfully.
“Yeah, I um found it in the movie room and it looked so warm so I took it and it’s super comfy like seriously how do you get your shirts so soft it’s really weird but they always smell like cigars so I guess that’s the downside. That’s not to say you smell bad! I’m just saying that it’s like your trademark-“
There she went again. “It’s fine kid, just wash it before you give it back.”
“What about the MET!” She called after him.
“Maybe.” He grumbled and with that he walked away, be-lining for the kitchen where he stashed his Vodka, losing her in the sea of students just getting out of class.
Tumblr media
“Now, for today’s class, we’re going to go over some art history!” A collective groan resonated through the room but Y/N’s bright smile never faltered, it actually got bigger as she looked over her small group of students sitting around the art-filled room. “I know, I know but this stuff is important! Art plays such a big role in human evolution. Actually, the argument can be made that our ability to create art is what truly sets us apart from other animal species-“
There was no denying that Miss Y/L/N’s class was a favourite among the young mutants. Her rants not only served to brighten up their day but they also prevented her from giving out any actual work. It especially helped when most of them came from Logan’s class the period before. He was quite well known to be, well there’s no delicate way to put this, a hard ass.
So when, during this spring afternoon, with just a month left before summer break, Logan strode into the art class, his heavy boots thundering loudly against the hardwood floors, everyone was shocked. Y/N was pacing the room now, well and truly absorbed in her own thoughts, which became an impassioned speech as soon as the words formed in her mind. Logan cleared his throat as he leaned against the door jam, his jaw cleaned tightly when she didn’t answer or look at him.
The collection of children were now starting to get nervous as the seconds ticked by, Logan’s eyes getting steadily darker with anger, the muscle in his lower jaw working over under his mutton chops. They could all see his famous tempter growing and none of them wanted to be on the receiving end. “Um Miss?” A young girl spoke up, trying to break her train of thought. But nope, that couldn’t stop her.
Logan was getting fed up now. How in the hell did these kids even learn anything with the way she was carrying on? “Kid.” He growled, immediately making the entire class freeze, including the young teacher.
“Oh Logan! Sorry, I didn’t see you there.” She laughed nervously, pulling on the edge of her sheer pink sleeve. He noted she was wearing a dress today, it was frilly and absolutely drowning in flower print, with translucent sleeves that went all the way down to her wrists.
“Right, Wheels needs us in his office. Now.” He pressed as she opened her mouth to point out she was in the middle of a lecture. Y/N nodded then addressed the class. “All right, students. I guess you’re getting out early today. No homework!” She was quick to jog out of the room before the kids were able to leave their seats, effectively avoiding the clambering mass of them trying to practically sprint out.
Her smaller hand easily slipped into Logan’s bigger one, intertwining their fingers as her left hand came up to rest on his exposed forearm. He felt the cool of her metal rings against his skin. Unconsciously, he noted that he had never seen her wear any kind of jewellery before. “Did Charles say what he wanted?” Her eyes caught his brown ones, falling into step with the older mutant through the quiet halls. Logan just shrugged, fishing a half used cigar from his breast pocket and sticking the thoroughly chewed end in his mouth, a sharp canine slicing into it.
“Hmm.” She hummed, her gaze shifting down to her feet, trusting Logan to guide them to the headmaster’s office. “Do you think it’s a mission?”
“He doesn’t send you on missions.” Logan said firmly.
“Yeah I know but it could be! Stranger things have happened.”
“Like what?” He humoured her.
“How about Peter actually scoring a date~” She teased, making the Wolverine’s lip turn up briefly in a smile then dropped again into a frown before she could see.
“You do have a point.” He conceded. They rounded the last corner and came to a stop outside the solid door of Charles’ office. Logan went to knock, a muffled ‘please come in’ sounded before his permanently bruised knuckles could meet the stained wood.
Charles sat behind his grand desk, glasses perched on the end of his nose as he looked over a mountain of paperwork that gave Y/N a headache just from looking at it. She pulled her hand from Logan’s and bounced over to one of the two chairs in front of the headmaster, immediately making herself comfortable.
Clasping her hands on her lap with her back up straight, Y/N focused on the older mutant as he took off his reading glasses and laid them on what looked to be his grade book. Logan himself leaned against the doorjamb, much like he did in the young woman’s classroom, crossing his muscular arms over his broad chest.
Charles sighed deeply as he looked at his teachers. “There really is no way to say this delicately so I suppose I’ll just say it: Erik’s come home.” Logan’s entire body seized with an emotion akin to fear.
“Fuck.” He snarled. But Y/N had an entirely different reaction. Her face visibly lit up but not with excitement but instead with the joy of someone who didn’t have to lie anymore. Charles raised an eyebrow at the young woman, prompting her to explain herself.
“He slept in my room last night, there was no other free space.” She said casually as if she hadn’t just dropped the bomb that she spent the night with a dangerous mutant who hadn’t hesitated to kill before. “Don’t worry! I was being safe. He slept on my couch.”
“Like that makes this whole thing any better.” Logan muttered under his breath but only Charles heard him. The telepath gave him a strange but knowing look before turning back to the young art teacher.
Her smile wavered only for a moment before returning with full force. “He was super nice to me! He even picked out my jewellery today.” She flashed her hands towards the headmaster, showing off the various silver rings that adorned her fingers. Logan huffed at her naivety but Charles had an entirely different reaction. He took her hands into his own, delicately tracing the metal with a soft touch.
“Erik did a good job, they look wonderful. But Y/N, I still want you to be wary. Erik can be very volatile and unpredictable and his abilities far outmatch your own. Just be careful.” She gave a firm nod. “Although, I believe you could do him some kind of good to be around someone who finds him tolerable.” Charles gave a not so subtle glance toward the Wolverine who scoffed and rolled his eyes.
An awkward and tense silence fell over the trio. Y/N cleared her throat, tugging on the hem of her dress which lay only an inch above her knees. “Is that all you wanted to tell us?”
“Well, I do need to speak to you about this art trip you have planned. Logan, you’re welcome to stay, you might find this information useful.”
“Fuck no, I have better things to do with my time.” He regretted the words as soon as they left his lips. She visibly flinched at his words and her smile became so fake it made him ache. Charles’s own expression fell as he sat back in his high-back chair.
“Then if you’ll please excuse us, we have some things to discuss.” He said sternly, quite obviously not pleased with Logan’s rudeness. “Close the door on your way out.”
As the door swung shut behind him, Logan caught the smallest whimper escaping her lips and the muffled words of his old friend consoling her.
Tumblr media
The manor was almost dead silent as Logan emerged from the cave that was his room. There were no sounds of footsteps (save for his own), or screaming or chatter, there wasn’t even the ever present clatter of utensils from the kitchen.
Curiously, he wandered through the empty halls, occasionally glancing into the empty rooms he passed. Just as his dark brows began to furrow with concern, Ororo turned the corner, nose buried in a book. “Hey Storm.” Her dark eyes met his own.
“Logan?” She replied with a curious head tilt before returning to her book. Logan huffed through his nose.
“Where is everyone?” She gave him a strange look and glanced over her shoulder as if the answer to his question was just behind her. The young mutant snapped her book shut.
“At the MET? You know the big field trip that Y/N organised. I thought you were going with them. She has been talking about it for weeks.”  Logan’s frown deepened. That was today? Storm seemed to pause as she took in his stormy expression. “Oh, I guess you forgot. No wonder she was so upset when they left. I guess it’s a good thing Erik went with her then.”
Just then, noise exploded through the halls once more as dozens of feet stomped on the expensive hardwood. Ororo sighed heavily through her nose, upset at not being able to have a little more quiet to finish off her chapter. But Logan remained frozen in place, his veins filled with icy terror. “Repeat that last part?”
She glanced at him with a devastating side eye. “Evidently, Erik saw how upset she was this morning when you didn’t get on the bus so he decided to go with her to take care of the kids.”  She shrugged and tucked the leather-bound volume under her arm. “She looked like she was going to cry before he stepped up.”
Poison curled in his gut but he quickly stamped it down. Just then, kids and teens stampeded around the corner, hyped up on what Logan guessed to be sugar and excitement. And right smack dab in the middle was Magneto, his head thrown back in laughter, the corded muscles in his neck and shoulders rippling with the movement. His right arm was bent allowing for the soft hand of the younger woman to rest on his forearm. Y/N was smiling shyly at him, not used to the undivided attention he was giving her.
As they passed him, Logan caught her eye. She barely even gave him a glance but he saw the sadness deep within those e/cs and he knew it was because of him. She quickly looked away, drawing her gaze back to the dangerous mutant who was speaking once more, his laughter fading. But Logan couldn’t hear what he was saying over the roaring in his ears.
He watched them until they disappeared into one of the many living rooms of the manor. “At least he got her smiling again.” He barely registered Ororo’s words before she too left him.
Tumblr media
This went on for weeks. It seemed that everywhere he turned, Logan would see the unlikely pair together. Whether that be baking in the middle of the night, reading quietly in the library, working on lesson plans, he even saw them training together!
He watched them from afar as they grew closer and her pull away from himself until one day he was walking out of his classroom after a long day. “Wait up!” Unconsciously, Logan slowed his pace , a smile crawling upon his face. He expected the familiar weight of her touch against his arm, the smell of her floral perfume and the bright sound of her laughter but when a blur raced by him, his heart dropped.
Y/N flung herself at Erik who was just a few paces in front of him, wrapping her arms around his neck in a hug too tight to be just friendly. He caught her easily, his arms winding around her thick waist and tugged her closer.
Logan forced himself to turn away, missing the sad look she cast him, heartbreak clear in her eyes.
Tumblr media
The end-of-school party was alive with laughter and music. Lights floated over the small dance floor that had been assembled in the gardens. Professors mingled on the wooden stage, swaying to the smooth acoustic guitar Kurt was strumming. But Logan’s attention was trapped on the centre of the crowd where a small circle of space had been formed and trying as hard as he might, he couldn’t look away.
Y/N twirled in time with the music, her eyes shut as she let it wash over her. Her skin glowed in the golden sunset, the sweat along her brow sparkled like glitter as she moved. Pale green tulle embroidered with dozens of sunflowers floated around her, her dress fluttering in the light breeze. She was absolutely breath-taking. No weight rested on her shoulders nor anxiety in her face. She was serene, she was like a goddess in human form, dancing and delighting with mere mortals.
How badly he wanted to stride across the gardens and take her into his arms, to feel her curves beneath his palms as they moved together. Logan shook himself from those thoughts and took another sip of whiskey. The alcohol burned as it slid down his throat but that was nothing compared to the burning rage in his stomach as another man approached her.
Erik, dressed in a matching dark green suit, caught her mid-twirl, his left hand holding her hips in place as he captured her left hand in his right. She fell easily into step with him, her once fluid movements becoming a slow waltz.
Logan was so consumed in his anger that he hadn’t noticed another person walking to his side until they were right next to him.
“Why are you so worked up about this? You’ve made it very clear that you can barely even tolerate her.” Logan’s scowl deepened, his eyes growing even darker with rage as Hank spoke to him. “I mean even I’ve heard about the things you’ve said to her and I barely leave the lab.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, Beast.” He didn’t bother to hide the way he was glaring at the pair. Almost as if in slow motion, Erik pressed his lips to her ear, speaking in a whisper so quiet, even Logan’s powerful hearing couldn’t pick it up. She pulled away from him for just a moment and hope bloomed in his chest. But it quickly died as she nodded in response.
Erik took her hand, their fingers intertwining as he led her away. Logan slammed his now empty glass down on the temporary bar behind him and stormed off towards the couple. The music faded away as he ran.
Her laugh carried on the breeze, the skirt of her dress fluttering behind her. Logan ran faster, now regretting the tight suit pants and button-up he donned for the evening as they got steadily further and further away.
Without thinking, he made a sharp left, launching himself over the perfectly pruned flower beds Charles loved so much and tore through the gardens. Then suddenly, she was within sight. One heeled foot was over the threshold but he still had a chance.
With a final burst of speed he grabbed Y/N’s wrist before she could enter the manor, forcing her to let go of the other man. “Don’t go with him. Please.”
“Logan, what are you doing?”
“I can’t let you go with him. Y/N, I-“ He swallowed harshly, his grip tightening ever-so-slightly. Y/N looked over her shoulder to the other mutant only to find him gone. “Fuck why can’t I just say it.”
Her body was fully turned to him now. “Say what?”
Taking in a deep breath, he looked into her eyes. “I love you.” The slap came out of nowhere, knocking the breath from his lungs. Y/N’s jaw was dropped in shock as if she didn’t see it coming either even though it was her hand that now burned with the sting of meeting his unshaven cheek.
“Let me go, who-who put you up to this?” She attempted to pull away from his hold but he wouldn’t let her go.
“Y/N-“ He started but was quickly interrupted when she spoke again, tears spilling down her full cheeks and voice wavering.
“No. You can’t feel that towards me, you barely even like me. You’ve made that very clear over the past couple weeks, no the past year! You brush me off! You make me feel like an idiot! You ignored my blatantly obvious feelings for months and now you say something?!”
“You feel the same?” He asked in disbelief.
“Of course I do! That’s why I asked you to go to the MET with me. I was gonna bring you to the American wing where all the native art was because I know you love it so much and then I was going to tell you. But then you were just so awful to me when Erik got here and you forgot about the trip!” Once again, she tried to break his grip but Logan instead tugged her back and right into his broad chest.
With a massive paw, he cupped her soft jaw, forcing her to meet his gaze. “Can you just let me explain?” Her bottom lip popped out in a pout but she didn’t object. “I have lost so much, too much. Every woman I have ever loved has died because I loved them. And you, you are so young and so beautiful and way too kind for your own good. I love you more than anyone else and I guess that scared me. I pushed you away. But I can’t do it anymore, I can’t watch you fall for someone else.”
“Goddamnit.” She growled before her arms shot out and wrapped around the back of his neck so she could yank his face down to her level, and then she kissed him.
Stars burst around them like little fireworks as he pulled her closer by the small of her back. Her hands travelled from his neck downwards so her fingers could curl into his shirt like she was terrified that this was all just some dream.
“You do anything even remotely close to that whole fiasco again and I will let Erik do whatever he wants to you.” She murmured against his lips.
“Just kiss me again, sunshine.” And she did.

Logan Howlett/Wolverine x F!Summers!Reader - That’s my sister!
Tumblr media
______________________________________________________________
GIF IS NOT MINE! Requested by @thefandomdiaries07  Word Count: 1,819 Summary: You’re Scott Summers’ younger Sister and you’re dating the Wolverine in secret, until Scott finds out... Warnings: mentions of age gap, fight scene (nothing too graphic), bit of angst but with happy ending Requests are open
______________________________________________________________ You took a moment to think about what decision in your life had brought you into this scenario. How you, (Y/N) Summers, elegit member of the X-Men and sister to one of the greatest Mutants out there, pressed into a wall in an abandoned corridor of the X-Mansion with the Wolverine pressed into your body while his lips traced down your neck. His beard that roughly brushed over your soft skin distracting you from any coherent thought that you might’ve had in this moment. Your hands wandered to his wide shoulders, you could feel how they tensed at your touch. Though you planned on pushing him away from the fear of being caught by a student or worse your brother still on your mind Logan had other plans. His hands wandered ever so closer up from your thigh to your ass. When you found enough common sense in your brain you attempt to push at his upper body despite that no matter what he would be unmoving Logan only squeezed your ass. The moment he did you let out a gasp of surprise and he took the opportunity to plant a kiss on your lips that grew in intensity. While Logan pressed further into your body you stop fighting him and melted into his arms humming when his tongue swept over your bottom lip.
“What in the actual shit are you two doing?!” a voice broke both of you apart. With wide eyes at the familiar voice you pushed away from Logan while he although reluctantly took a step away from you. Scott, fuming with gritted teeth, walked up to you both. “(Y/N)! Of all the people, him?!” without even glancing in Logan’s direction he pointed at him. Logan slapped Scott’s hand away anger starting to raise up in him when his nostrils flared. “Missed the point where it’s your concern, Bub.” He growled at Scott who now turned his attention to Logan shielding you from Logan. “It’s my business because that’s my fucking sister you’re pushing your tongue into!” Scott mimicked Logan’s clenched jaw as they both stared each other down. You laid your hand on Scott’s shoulder in an attempt to calm him down but he pushed your hand away looking over his shoulder to you. Even with his glasses on you could feel the disappointment that filled his eyes. “She’s just a girl, Logan!” Scott returned back to him. Logan only huffed at that crossing his arms over his chest. “She ain’t a kid anymore, Summers.” Nothing in this world could’ve prepared your for Scott’s next move as he balled his hand into a fist and without thinking twice punching Logan square in the face. It did barely anything to Logan whilst Scott’s hand cracked with uncomfortable sound of breaking bones. Scott flinched away at the pain but a second later it was Logan who threw the next punch into the other man’s ribs. Pulling yourself out of the stupor your body seemed to be under you screamed at them to stop, trying desperately to separate the two fighting men to no avail. So desperate to separate the two before anyone gets seriously hurt which would probably be Scott you missed one of the punches. Who’s fist it was, you couldn’t tell but one moment you tried to pull Scott away from Logan and the next moment a fist hit your square in the head sending you down to the floor. Everything felt numb when you opened your eyes still laying on the floor with a worried Ororo hovering over you. She was calling out your name you believe but her voice sounded so far away. It was then that you looked over her shoulder to see both Scott and Logan stopping their fight, Hank between them to stop it. All three looked at you with worry in their eyes flickering. Logan was a bit faster to break out of Hank’s grip. Scott followed him suit and as they both bent to check on you, you only pushed away from tears pricking your eyes. In any other situation you would feel sorry for Logan how his face washed over with guilt and regret but he brought this upon himself just as Scott. “(Y/N)…” Scott tried to gently grab your arm but you ripped it out of his grasp. “Get out of my face. Both of you.” The fury in your eyes was clear first directed at Scott who flinched away at the harshness of your words before your eyes landed on Logan whose face fell with regret. Even Ororo glared at them. Surely this would bring consequences to the both of them. “Come on, sweety, let’s get you to Jean to check your head?” giving a reassuring smile Ororo helped you up and without giving Scott or Logan another glance you left. “This is your fault?” Scott fumed at Logan who gritted his teeth at him. “My fault?! Everything has gone perfectly fine before you showed up!” “My fucking sister, Logan! If she’s dying because of you I will…” Hank went in between them again having watched on long enough. “Either get this outsight or pull yourselves together.” Hank warned ripping the two man from each other. Still glaring at each other they left the corridor in opposite directions probably to blow of some steam or so Hank hopes. - To say that Jean was angry at Scott for his reaction was an underestimate. The moment you were brought into her she bombarded both you and Ororo with questions. There was no use to hide the relationship with Logan anymore so you told her everything and if it wasn’t for your injury one of them gave you Jean would’ve already gone to rip Scott another one before giving Logan a piece of her mind. “They both can be lucky I wasn’t there.” Jean ranted after you finished your little anecdote. She dabbed a bit to harshly over the open wound on your eyebrow and you flinched which had Jean stop and apologize her face softening in the process. “I’m just so angry at them both. But losing one of them doesn’t cut it either. Scott is my brother, we’ve been through a lot together. And Logan….I really tried to get away from him because I know how Scott would react but…” you shrugged your shoulders. “I believe it’s not us you have to tell this.” Ororo said patting your shoulder affectionately as Jean finished to clean up your wounds. You thanked them both and chose to lay down for the day. It was eventful as it was and you needed to sort out your thoughts probably. So it’s what you did. Locking yourself in your room in your most comfortable pyjamas and your favourite movie. A knock on your door had woken you up hours later. It was already dark outside and for a moment you were confused not realizing that you had fallen asleep during the movie. Despite the pounding in your head you pushed yourself up from your bed and made your way to the door. The moment you opened it you wanted to slam it back close at the sight of Logan and Scott standing in your doorway but Scott like the annoying brother he was got his foot between the door and the frame like he always when your were kids and wanted to bother you. “Just want to talk, please (Y/N).” it was Logan’s attempt at pleading that had you open the door again. “Can we come in?” Scott asked and you pondered over his request for a minute before you sighed and stepped aside. “How’s your head?” Logan looked at you after he had closed the door behind him worry written over his features. “What do you want?” I asked them looking from Logan to Scott and back. Both shared a look before Scott sighed, hands wandering through his hair in the process. “I…” he stopped as Logan glared at him. “We…” he corrected frowning at Logan before returning his attention to you. “We wanted to apologize.” Logan agreed with a nod before he continued on. “None of us ever meant to harm you in any way. And we both feel sorry that we did.” You noticed how his hand flinched at his side in his best attempt to control his urge to not grab your hand. A habit he had picked up after you started you secret relationship. “Do you even understand why I’m so angry at you both?” you questioned them hoping that the hurt in your eyes let the guilt fill their veins. And as both looked away and to the ground you took over the conversation again. “You both are the most important people in my life and it’s hard to witness you to fight every time you cross paths.” You walked over to Scott your fist meeting his chest playfully. “Scott, I know you just want to protect me, but news flash, I ain’t a little girl anymore and can look after myself and it’s my decision who I’m dating or not if you like him or want to see him six feet under.” Scott pursed his lips but nodded. “And you deserved this.” You pointed out to bandaged hand and Scott scrunched his nose at that knowing how right you were. Then you turned to Logan. “And Logan, I know how hard it is to love again. I understand your fear and your anger and never in my life will I ever hold this against you, but Scott is my family and if you love me just even a little bit, if our relationship means anything to you, at least try to get along with him. I don’t ask you two to be friends or anything but to be at least decent enough to not let your anger get the best of you.” After you finished your little speech you laid your hand in Logan’s and finally he looked at you and he gave you a soft half smile. “So…we’re forgiven?” tipping your finger on your chin you thought for a moment. “For the moment, yes.” Now Logan’s smile grew into a smirk as he leant down to plant a kiss on your lips but before his lips could actually contact to yours Scott pushed between you two separating you from Logan. “Yep, no, this was all fun and games, but still that’s my little sister.” Scott made a fake gag sound pushing to the door. “Just to remember to use protection kids!” he closed the door quickly before one of your slippers could meat his face. Logan let out a soft chuckle before he pulled you back to his chest. His knuckles brushed over your face and the anger you held for Scott vanished in an instant as you locked eyes. “Now, where did we left off?” Logan grumbled before he planted a kiss on your lips.

Note
thinking about grumpy!logan and sunshine!reader. he would have such a soft spot for readerrr.
You’re the happiest person Logan knows in the world. He isn’t sure how you maintain it. Especially when it comes to what your job is.
You’re all technically teachers, but you’re a mutant, a very powerful mutant who’s been hunted for the majority of your life.
Yet, you’re always wearing a smile Logan thinks is too bright to be real.
Over the years, you and Logan developed a sort of relationship- if you can call it that. He’s a grump and you’re literal sunshine but he’s the only one allowed to be mean around you.
He’s grilling some of the younger kids about them not using their powers correctly in the training drill when you come in, hands holding two trays of juice for the kids.
“You’re too hard on them, Logan. They’re fifteen.” You whisper it because you’re not about to undermine him loudly.
“That doesn’t stop anyone. They need to be better.” You roll your eyes.
“You want them to be unfeeling, that’s not fair.” You say just as gently and he grumbles, taking the last bottle off the tray and cracking it open and then handing it to you.
“Not unfeeling, pragmatic wouldn’t hurt though.”
The kids start hand to hand combat while you speak to Logan and they look better after his corrections but some of them can’t move as quickly as he likes.
“Watch your feet. You’re leaning too far forward, you’ll be easy to off balance.” You correct gently and the kids look past you to Logan who they suspect is about to grill them.
“She’s right. Ground yourself better, tighten your core and block your face.” He’s significantly less aggressive and you smile as you hold the empty trays to your chest.
“See you later, Logan. We have lunch plans don’t be late.” Practically skipping out of the training room with a big grin.
Logan smiles despite himself, a little thing. Barely an uptick in his lips. “Get outta here, Sunshine.” The kids whisper among themselves as you leave and how much softer Logan corrects them even after you’re gone for weeks.

LOGAN HOWLETT - SPARK
A/N: This one is a bit shorter. I needed to end it where it ends because the next one will be 'so much fun'! This is chapter 3! Also, I suck at creating titles or summaries.
Pairing: Logan Howlett x mutant female reader
Warning: none
Summary: Charles reveals something more about Y/N's mutation.
Please, do not read if you are under 18. This story is suitable for mature audience.
Words: 3800+
Important note: Again, Logan is a tall MF, because they fucked up in the movies. Also, Hugh Jackman!Wolverine.
A TOUCH OF HOPE MASTERLIST | Chapter Two

LOGAN HOWLETT - SPARK
Y/N fell to the ground with a loud thud, groaning. Every bone in her body ached. The first deep breath was hard to do. The second was better. Why did it have to hurt like a bitch? Luckily, she didn’t smash her head against the floor. Concussions were not fun.
“Get up,” she heard Logan’s rough voice. When she opened her eyes, he was standing above her. From the ground, he looked like a giant. “There is no time for napping.”
“Very funny,” Y/N muttered. She sat up, blinking a few times, and then got up. “That hurt.”
“Get used to it,” he said. Logan started to circle her, eyeing her figure. He needed to be sure she wasn’t hurt more than necessary. “What’s goin’ on with ya, kid? You seem distracted.”
Y/N closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. Fuck, he noticed. Little did he know it was all his fault. She looked at him through her dark lashes. He stood before her, fists clenched, but the claws weren’t present. While Storm or Kitty usually wore combat outfits for training, Logan would do it in jeans and that damn white tank top. She had a perfect view of his beefy arms and that damn chest.
Of course, she wanted to get the boy back. She kept thinking about it every waking hour. However, this time, it was Logan who engulfed her mind. His scent lingered around her.
She lunged at him, trying to hit his smug face. He was able to grab her whole fist and twist her wrist. Y/N roared from the pain. They were training. Of course, he wouldn’t be hard on her like they would in the real world. Still, it had to hurt.
“Come on, Y/N, concentrate,” he frowned at her. “Last training was better than this.”
Thinking fast, she devised a strategy to help her put him on the ground. However, she didn’t know if it would work. She spun on her heel, wanting to hit his chest with her elbow. As predicted, Logan wrapped his arm around her chest tightly. “Now you are trapped, kid.”
“Maybe,” she hissed. Y/N swung up her legs as high as she could. She used all her strength to yank her feet forward. She could feel how heavy this man was. Luck was on her side, and she threw him over her shoulders and on the ground. This time, he was the one who groaned out of pain.
She held her balance. It was necessary to stay on her feet after a move like that. Losing balance would make her seem inexperienced.
“Fuck,” he cursed, catching his breath. “I was not expecting that.”
“Look how the tables have turned,” she laughed at him. The smile was gone when he tripped her legs, and she ended up again on the floor. “Fuck!”
Logan crawled on top of her. He held her wrists tightly in his grip above her head. “Look who’s laughin’ now. Instead of being amazed and proud of what you did, keep your head in the game and stay focused. Otherwise, you’d end up under the enemy, dead.
Silence surrounded them. Their eyes met. Logan didn’t move away, and she didn’t protest. They stayed like that for what felt like hours. The air got thick. You could cut it with a knife. It was harder to breathe.
His eyes were a darker shade of green with a hint of brown sparkling around the pupil. It reminded her of the woods on a sunny day. Logan was so handsome that she wanted to reach for his face and trace his features. What the fuck was happening?
“Who taught you that?” he asked after a while.
She came back to reality. “Some dudes back in the day,” she made a face. “It’s a long story. Truthfully, I didn’t think it would work, considering your whole skeleton is pure adamantium.” Her eyes travelled lower to his chest, scanning the popping veins on his neck and arm.
Last training, Logan revealed something more about himself. When he told her about the adamantium in his bones, her face turned into something he found adorable. He couldn’t help it. The fascination radiating on her face got him. You are practically indestructible, she commented.
“You sayin’ I’m heavy?” he raised one brow. When Y/N made a face, he rolled his eyes. “Rude.”
“What?! I didn’t say anything,” she protested. Accidentally, she smashed her head against the floor, gasping from the mild pain. “Ouch, that hurt.”
“That’s what you get for being rude.” Logan laughed at her. He got up, holding a hand to her. “Get up before you hurt yourself more.”
She took his hand and jumped up on her feet. Her hand rubbed the spot on her head that she had banged. “Yeah, karma is a bitch. Fucking hell.”
Logan put a hand on her shoulder. “What’s wrong, kid? Seriously. You have been distracted the whole day. And it showed during training. It is the boy?” His eyes filled with concern.
She took a breath through her nose. “Yes.” It was half true. He didn’t need to know. “It’s nerve-wracking when we still haven’t found much information about JJ. It’s been over a week. How hard can it be?” That last sentence was unnecessary.
“I told you it might take some time,” he said. “We need to be sure no one would die or get hurt,” he continued. Logan kept his voice calm. “You got out. They will do anything to keep the boy there if he’s still there.”
She groaned, annoyed by that answer. It felt like things weren’t going as fast as she’d hoped for. They had superpowers. They could do almost anything they wanted. Why wait? “What if he dies? You know damn well what they do to us. I know what they did to me.”
There was no arguing that. Logan saw how beaten up Y/N was when he met her. People did horrible things to mutants just to find out more about the mutation and how to destroy it. Some would call it a modern genocide.
The door to the Danger room opened, and Rogue walked in with a blue mutant. He had a tail and hoofs. He had a long beige coat and a hat on his head. Why was she that surprised? Hank was a big blue furry beast. This one looked like a blue devil.
“Y/N, this is Kurt,” Rogue introduced her to the mutant. “You haven’t met before.”
“How was Europe?” Logan asked him when he approached the couple.
“I was able to find smugglers who kept mutants in cells and sold them to labs and influential people,” he said with a heavy German accent. “There is a whole underground net operating around Europe and Russia.”
Logan glanced at Y/N and made a face. It was a sign to tell her that there were more of them suffering without any help. Would it be immature if she showed him her tongue?
“The Professor wants to talk to you, Y/N. It’s urgent,” Rogue informed her.
With a nod, she left the Danger room without a word. At least her heart would calm down for a minute. She glanced down at her clothes, leggings and a t-shirt. She sparred with Logan for an hour. You’ll have to wait, Professor, she thought.
One quick shower later and a change of fresh clothes, she knocked on his door and stepped in. Charles was there alone, reading a book.
“Take a seat, Y/N.”
Again, she couldn’t read him. He always kept his face stoic, not giving away anything, not even showing anger or excitement. Her eyes followed his every move.
“There is one urgent matter I need to discuss with you,” he started to talk. “I needed some time to be sure that what I’m about to tell you is true. I couldn’t explain it for years, and I think I might have the answer now.”
She leaned against the backrest and listened to him. There was no point in questioning him.
“I have talked to the rest of the staff about it, but they don’t know the result. I wanted to tell you first before I tell them.” When she didn’t give him any reaction, he continued. “I knew about your existence for years. When you were a teen, around the same time when you discovered your mutation, I found you through Cerebro. The plan was to bring you here, where you would become a student and study.”
It felt like a knife to her heart. Charles knew about her, and they didn’t bring her here? “Why didn’t you?” she whispered.
“I wanted to. The plan was to send Hank to get you. All I needed to do was give him exact coordinates. But,” he stopped. Charles took his time to gather his thoughts. “When I wanted to find you, I couldn’t. As if you stopped existing. I didn’t find you as a mutant or a human.”
“What do you mean?”
“For years, you kept slipping. One day, I’d stumble upon you, and a moment later, you didn’t exist. That’s why I couldn’t bring you here. I couldn’t find you.”
She shook her head. “I don’t get it. I never died. I didn’t do anything unusual.”
Charles smiled. “For some time, I thought you were also a strong telepath. That would be the only explanation for why you kept slipping off. Since you came here, I’ve been observing-”
“You looked in my head without permission,” she stated.
“It’s not as it seems, Y/N. I looked when your thoughts were screaming. I never look unless I don’t have to.”
“Then what? What did you find out?”
He sighed. “You are not a telepath. You keep closing your mind, protecting it, like you do with your forcefield. No one can get inside your head unless you want them. That is the reason why I couldn’t find you.”
She laughed awkwardly. “That doesn’t make sense. How could I possibly do this?”
“Your mutation is about protection that keeps evolving with time. We don’t know what else could happen with your training. It’s been trying to protect your brain since the beginning. For example, if there were a mutant with the ability to hypnotise you, it wouldn’t be possible. Your power would protect your brain.”
Her mouth was open, and she didn’t flinch. It was a ton of new information for her. “Holy shit,” she mumbled. Y/N leaned her elbows on her thighs and put her head in her palms. “Oh god, oh no. Oh, this is bad.”
“Y/N?” Charles said her name gently.
“All this time, I thought I got manipulated, and it turned out I did it because I was stupidly in love with that douche,” she said into the aether. Her eyes met the Professor’s eyes. “I did so many bad, stupid things in my life.”
“I’m not going to judge you, Y/N. We all make mistakes and do things we are not proud of.”
Y/N closed her eyes. “I was seventeen when I ended up with a group of people who did some awful things. Some of them were mutants, and some were humans. To survive, we would steal and ransack houses and apartments to get anything valuable out of there. There was a mutant who kept everyone under control. His mutation was hypnosis.
“I did everything he asked. I never questioned him once. He told me he loved me. He told me I was special. Before I ended up locked up, I found out about his mutation. My heart broke. He manipulated me. It turned out to be his hypnosis. Everyone used to be under his spell. After what you’ve told me, I can officially pronounce that I was madly in love with him and did all those things out of love, willingly.”
“Love makes us do odd things,” Charles said.
“Love makes us do stupid, fucked up things, Professor.”
“I will not ask further. I will listen when you are ready to share your life.”
“Honestly, I’d like to erase most of my memories.”
Charles wheeled closer and grabbed one of her hands, patting it lightly. “I know how to do that. It’s your mutation that won’t allow me. Although, I’m not saying I would erase your memories if I had the possibility. The more you train here, the more powerful your mutation is.”
She crossed her arms over her chest and leaned back again. “Scott was right. You know nothing about me. How can you trust me?”
“I simply do. I was able to glimpse inside your mind to gather some information about you before your brain blocked me from entering,” Charles admitted. “But you’ve told me you want to turn your life around. I believe you.”
He believed. Would it be enough? What if the others wouldn’t be as understanding as Charles? The thought of seeing Storm’s or Kitty’s faces, disappointed and disgusted by her, made her stomach turn unpleasantly. What would Logan think?
With a shaky breath, she glanced at Charles. Tears filled her eyes. It was hard to say it out loud. “I want you to read my mind,” she whispered. It was scary to let a telepath inside her head.
“Are you sure?”
She wiped the first fallen tear with a finger. “I did some terrible things, Professor. Things that should be punishable by prison or death.” He opened and closed his mouth like a fish. “Look inside and decide if you want to trust me. Look and tell me if you still want to have me here. I want this. I want you to see. I give you my permission.”
Charles stretched his hands to Y/N’s head. He pressed two fingers on both of her temples and closed his eyes. She could feel him travelling inside her mind, wandering to places she hated the most. More tears escaped her eyes. More pain came back to life. She needed him to see, to know her, and to understand what she felt. He must know what that boy means to her, why she wanted to save him.
He exhaled loudly and opened his eyes once he finished. Was it fear reflecting in his eyes or disappointment? She didn’t know.
“It was not your fault, Y/N,” he said after a while.
She shook her head, shaking. The tears were hot on her cheeks. “It was. I did all those things.”
“No,” he said firmly. “You didn’t know what you could do. Many young mutants, when they come into this school, they experience something similar. It’s not your fault.”
Y/N sniffled and hid her whole head in her arms, trying to shield herself from the world. “How can you trust me when you saw it all? There is blood on my hands.”
Charles thought about it before he said: “You let me in. You let me see your past, the darkest days of your life. I could feel your pain, your fear and your anger. You think you are damaged, but you are not, Y/N. I saw what you dream of. You want peace. You want to experience happiness and freedom. You can have it now, here.”
“When Scott learns it all, he’ll hate my guts to the maximum,” she stated.
“Scott doesn’t hate you. He’s overprotective, I’d say.”
Y/N bit her tongue. She didn’t want to be rude in front of the professor. They took her in and gave her a roof under her head. It would be disrespectful to talk badly about Scott Summers.
Fuck, but did he get on her nerves.
. . .
Logan was in the lab, looking at floor plans of the facility in Salem. He had his arms crossed over his big, hulking chest. His mind was elsewhere. His eyes were maybe staring at the screens, but something else was going on inside his head.
Storm was observing him the entire time. She noticed he started to spend more time with Y/N. He agreed to train her, to make her stronger. They shared the same wit. It was funny to watch their conversations. She had to admit it was nice to see him like this. She heard him sigh and shake his head.
“You okay?” she asked him. Her legs brought her closer to him.
He spun his head to the side, raising one brow. “Why wouldn’t be?” he said roughly.
“I just wanted to be sure,” she shrugged. “I’ve noticed some changes, you know?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” said Logan, and turned his head back to the screens.
Storm had to laugh. “Come on, Logan. You used to be stand-offish, grumpy and now, well, I can’t say you are a rays of sunshine, but there has been a change. Why could that be?” she teased, grinning at the man. She brushed a strand of her white hair away from her face.
Logan frowned at her. “Come on, Storm, what are we, five?”
“It’s nice, you know?” her lips turned into a smile. “You care for her.”
He sighed. “I’m going to leave for a day,” he announced, skipping the other topic. “I need to go back to Salem. I need to take a look at the facility.”
“No,” she turned to him, pressing a hand on his chest. “We’ve talked about this. We’ll go as a team. It is not a solo mission.”
He rolled his eyes. “I am not saying I’ll do it alone. All I need is to get a better look at the whole place. Maybe sneak in and try to locate the boy. I have to do something to get this mission going. It’s taking us longer than usual. What if I discover something that will help us? Or worse, what if I find the boy dead?”
Storm shook her head in disbelief. “We do these things as a team, remember?”
There was no point in arguing. When Logan set his mind on something, he wouldn’t stop. He stopped at the metal door to the lab. “If someone asks, I’ll be back tomorrow.” With that, he was gone.
He thought Storm would stop him. He thought she would call the Professor and the rest of the team, forbidding him to go. Nothing happened.
Logan went to his room, grabbed his brown leather jacket, and ran back down. The sooner he’d leave, the better. Logan was never the one to sit and wait. He was tired of waiting. They sent him once to get the kid and failed. This time, he wanted to do more.
His eyes found Y/N walking from Charles’s office, looking like a bag of unhappiness. He could smell the dry tears on her face. “You alright, kid?” he had to ask.
Y/N’s eyes lifted. She brushed her hair away from her face. “Oh, yes, I’m fine,” she said plainly.
“What’s with the tears?” he pointed at her face when he approached her.
She noticed the jacket on him.  Was he leaving? It gave her a perfect opportunity to change the topic. “You going somewhere?”
“Uh,” he scratched his nape, trying to come up with something. “I need to take care of some things.”
There was something fishy about it. Y/N squinted at him and crossed her arms over her chest. “I don’t want to be nosy, but what kind of things?” He would have mentioned something to her during training, right? Why was she thinking like this? He didn’t owe her anything, not even an explanation. He could do whatever he wanted.
Logan realised he couldn’t lie to her. Not now, with those red eyes and puffy cheeks. “I’m going back to Salem.”
Her mouth opened. “I’m going with you.”
“No,” he shook his head. “I’m doing this alone.”
She put her body in front of his, not letting him go anywhere. Her soft and worried features hardened. “Logan, you promised,” she pressed her hand firmly against his chest. “You promised me you’d take me.”
He sighed. He knew he should have taken a different way out. “Look, Y/N, I promised to take you on a mission with us. It is something I have to do alone. I need to get us more data to move on. Understand?”
“No,” she stood her ground. “You are going back to Salem. You are going to the lab. I’m going with you. I know the place. I can help you, Logan.”
“Y/N,” he warned her. “You are not ready-”
“Bullshit, Logan. I know I’m not the best. I know I need more training.  But, fuck, you know damn well I am ready to do anything to get JJ. So, for the love of god, take me with you.”
“Fuck. Fuck!” Logan cursed under his nose and brushed his wild, dark hair with his fingers out of frustration. “You are a stubborn woman, Y/N.” He didn’t like this one bit. Plus, he knew the team would get angry when they found out where they went.
“It was time for you to learn something new about me,” she smirked at him.
Logan sighed, defeated. “Fine, I’ll take you with me. However, you will listen to what I say. You will do as I say, you hear me, kid? I don’t want anything to happen to you.”
Y/N winked at him, and a big, bright smile appeared on her lip. “Thanks. I appreciate that.”
“It’s going to be a long night. I’ll meet you at the garage in five minutes. Hurry up before anyone knows,” he said. “Put on something warm. The nights are colder.”
She saluted him and ran as fast as possible up to her room to put on something comfortable. Y/N packed a denim jacket and put on a warm hoodie. The jeans she wore were stretchy. Also, the sneakers were a good choice for that day. There was no time for anything else. The last thing she was able to grab was a few dollars.
Afterwards, she ran to the garage as he said to meet her. Her heart was out of control. She could feel it in her throat. Things were moving forward. Fucking finally! No matter how it all would end, at least she was doing something.
Y/N got to the garage and looked around. She found Logan standing by a black Audi. It wasn’t new, but it would do.  Who owned all those cars? There were many in the garage. “You are on time,” he said.
Y/N found a motorbike near a wall. It was a black and brown Harley. It looked familiar. “Wait,” she pointed a finger. “Didn’t I fall from the bike?”
Logan opened the door to the driver’s side. “Twice,” he said. “Come on. We have to move.”

----///////////////////////////////////////////////////////----
It's midnight and you are sitting in the balcony of your shared apartment, feeling insecure you sit there and ask yourself "Do I really deserve them? There could be someone better for them, what if I'm too fat/skinny"
What you didn't know was that your two lovers where standing right behind you, Victor was leaning against the balcony's door frame and Logan was just standing there with his arms crossed, they where baffled by your commentaries about yourself
"What if-" you where cut-off by an annoyed Logan picking you up from where you sat, you squeak from the sudden event your eyes widen in surprise and horror wen you see your lovers looking at you annoyed "H-how long have you guys been t-there" you asked, Logan is first to speak "Long enough to hear how insecure you are about yourself Y/N" that "Y/N" was enough to send chills down your spine "What should we do with her?~" asked Victor "I guess we are going to have to show her just how perfect she is~" said Logan as he started to walk inside carrying you in bridal style, Victor closed the balcony door and followed inside
You started to feel a knot in your stomach so you asked "What are you guys going to do?" Logan just chuckled and Victor answered "Didn't he already told you, we are going to show you how perfect you are"
You notice that they're heading to your shared bedroom, Victor opens the door and let's you two go in then he closes it Logan drops you off heading towards the dresser looking for something, Victor grabs you by the waist to pull you into a kiss "Found it~" said Logan as the large man broke the kiss for you to breathe, you tilt your head to look at the second large man moving towards you two with a short black thight revealing dress in hand and condom's in the other
They could see you confused to why he would bring such things "you are going to wear it for us, easy right?" said Victor as he pushed you towards Logan who was giving you the dress
After he gave it to you they both went to the bed and sat on the edge waiting for you to change, you where just standing there dress at hands
"What are you waiting for?" said Victor taking of his jacket and shirt Logan doing the same, you blush at the view of the two large men sitting shirtless on the edge of the bed (insert nosebleed)
"You guys want me to change right here?!" Victor just laughed at your question "well of course doll~" answered Logan, you blushed even more looking like a tomato you started to take off your current outfit feeling a little awkward you where about to put on the dress when Logan interrupted "No bra" he said "But-" "No but's doll" you where cut-off "Fine.." you say, you put on the dress feeling self-conscious about how you look you try to cover yourself with your hands but you are stopped by Victor's firm grip on your hands pulling you closer to them, Logan grabs your ass and Victor kisses your hand "beautiful~" said Logan "And all ours~" added Victor as he extended his nails careful not to cut you he rips the dress, eyes widen from the sudden happening blush appearing of your face you try to cover yourself but Victor's firm grip never left your hands he pulls you down and you drop on your knees breast bouncing from the sudden movement, they both stand up to take off the las bit of clothing
After the awkward undressing your eyes shine in excitement as their large and thick cocks sprang up veins and pre-cum visible, they chuckled at your reaction "Look at you darlin so exited for us~" "She truly is brother, look how she's drooling~" the comment's from the two brothers exited you even more making you wet, "Can I?" you asked yearning to touch and taste your prize "Go ahead~" answered Victor
You started to crawl forward stoping to eye the prize then with one hand you gently grabbed Logan's cock causing it to twitch and you lean in to suck Victor's making him grunt, licking and sucking as you Bob your head you start to jack-off the cock in your right hand pre-cum coating it, Victor caresses you head "look at you, so pretty sucking my cock" drool sliding to your jaw you move your left hand to touch yourself, it did not take long since the view was too much making Logan cum it didn't take much for Victor to cum too, you swallowed it all and parted your lips from his cock making a soft "pop" sound, you suck on your fingers as Logan grabs you by the waist and pulls you to the bed praising how good you treated them then dropping you in the middle of the bed
They weren't done, they were going to show you just how perfect you are
Both got in bed Logan riped your underwear as he got behind and Victor in-front they looked at you waiting for your consent you nod you head "Please.." they both smirked at your needy beg for them putting on the condoms Victor grabbed your leg and lifted it positioning himself Logan doing the same they aline themselves in your holes and start slowly sliding inside of you tears in your eyes from the sting of pain becoming pleasure you start making "ah ah" sounds that flood their brain, heat and lust in the air "Fuck, look at you darlin so perfect taking our cock's so well~" "look at her her perfect breast, plush lips, dreamy eyes, that ass and your body so small compared to ours~" so much praising made you wash up an orgasm your walls clenching around them "Well would you look at that" "Darlin we haven't done much and you already came" the brothers said, Logan starting to touch and caresse your body Victor kissing the leg he's holding
They start moving even faster making you moan louder their movements became sloppy as you came for the second time they felt you walls clench making Logan cum and then Victor both grunting and you moaning, they pulled out of you changing positions Victor moved closer to your face and Logan went to your dripping pussy, Logan changing condoms and Victor just taking it off he started to enter your mouth so you started to suck and slurp making him grunt as Logan started to enter your pussy they started to trust at different uncoordinated paces
"So tight.. so perfect" said Logan as he panted and kept grunting "That's it pretty, just like that" Victor said as he trusted ito your mouth and squeezed your breast, rolling your eyes up you came everything becoming fuzzy, they came you swallowed the cum as their cocks finally became soft they both kissed and praised you, Victor made a bath then grabbed you and carried you into the bathroom putting you on the tub while longan grabbed a pair of his pants and Victor's shirts since you prefer theirs after making love, Victor washed and bathed you knowing that they had tired you out "You did so well for us" said Logan as he entered the bathroom
You managed to smile at them ,"I liked that dress" they laughed and pulled you out the tub dried and dressed you, carrying you to bed where they put you in the middle Victor hugging your right and Logan your left "Thank you guys, I love you both" you managed to say "Your welcome, we love you too Y/N" said Logan, Victor kissed you but you where already asleep they chuckled and headed to sleep too.

(Sorry, if this series is a bit odd, I made this in 2018)
You were a twenty-five-year-old woman who went through the worst possible thing that could ever happen to a child of six. Your dark terrible past. You lived through it every night in your dark visions. It seemed to never disappear, never leave you, even when you would wake up in total fear; covered in sweat; the images would replay over and over again, haunting you forevermore. You would never feel safe or normal after what you went through.
At the age of three, you found out, along with your parents, that you had teleporting powers. That you were a mutant. Your parents freaked out whenever you would accidently teleport places in your sleep, so they sent you to a testing lab. Your parents abandoned you there when you turned six and it seemed like nothing was improving. Leaving you in the hands of tall, scary scientists, alone and afraid.
For years you were experimented on, some days tortured. Slowly they stopped when they gave you a serum which they received no reaction from you. The serum involved brain enhancements and enhanced healing abilities, and when there was no reaction from you, they grew very frustrated. The scientists then connected tubes and electric wires to your head, sending radioactive and electric signals into your brain, which seemed to cause the serum to activate. You showed many signs of having many mutations of the mind, powers such as telepathy, memory manipulation, memory reading, electricity, and memory wiping. This, though, caused the scientists to move on to the next child and forget about you. Throwing you away into an iron cage, like trash.
You sat there in the corner, your head bruised and your brain pounding against your head in sheer agony. The only sound you could make were muffled whimpers from within the iron bars. Your clothes were tattered and ripped from wearing them for too long and not having showered in months. They smelled like old garbage and urine. Your eyes were glazed with pain and tiredness. Your fingers were covered in bruises, scrapes, and cuts. A single strand of your hair fell across your face. You reached your hand out with a shaky movement. You touched the lock of hair. It felt coarse and dry. You were trapped there for years, hardly ever getting enough food, which made you weak. You could hardly sleep, laying on the cold concrete floor, with no blanket or pillow to soothe you. There was no way to escape.
Weeks went on and the scientist’s facility went into a crazy haze. Scientists running here and there passed the many rows of caged children. They scrambled to escape as alarms blared and red lights flashed. It has been a while, you were nine, and you could finally control your mind powers, after long years of trying to better yourself. Though, the only thing that you didn't have full control of was your teleportation powers. If you did succeed in honing those powers, you could've escaped. There was loud yelling and some of the other children were crying, but after a while there was silence. No sound or movement was heard, no bleeps of machines or scientists muttering in the next room. Nothing.
You didn't know what to do, but soon a man in a wheelchair wheeled in, other people by his side, quickly they all helped the children out of the cages. You were last to be set free, the man in the wheelchair opened the gate of your cage and held out a hand. You looked at the man, who gave you a kind smile, which you haven't seen in a while. You were scared but curious, and you had this odd feeling that you could trust this man. You grabbed his hand weakly and stepped out of the tight enclosure. Your bare feet touched the floor, flinching from the icy marble, chilling you to your bones. The man then led you to the other children, who were smiling, happy to be free. The children found their new homes with the wheelchair man, who you found out later to be Charles Xavier. You and the saved children were sent to his school for gifted children. Or as he called it, The Mansion.
As the years went by, you were able to graduate from Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters. Charles then asked you if you wanted to become the new Biology teacher for some of the kids, and you happily agreed. Although you would only be doing it part-time, you loved it nonetheless. When you weren't working, you'd teleport to your cabin in Alaska, a gift from Charles since you had no place to go. You’d stay in the cold land, admiring the snow that you were never allowed to play in as a child, and gazing up at the Northern Lights. When you were working, you would teleport back to the school and stay until you were done teaching the spring semester. You loved your job and loved helping the many children who grew attached to your sweet and caring personality in mere seconds.
Being the smart person you were, you would sometimes sneakily teleport to the mansion and grab a glass of chocolate milk. You got caught a lot of times, but that didn’t stop you from teleporting and grabbing more. It was fun to teleport back to the mansion and watch as Scott tried to search for cups only to find none. But, you weren't rude, you'd bring back the glasses all clean and shiny once you were done having fun… And when Charles had caught you.
Some time later, some of the children of Charles’s school went on a field trip to a science museum. Which was probably a good and bad idea. Filled with wax figures from the Stone Age and fake dinosaur bones, the museum was a great place for children to learn and have fun doing it. While some of the children were listening to Ororo talk about Neanderthals, a boy named Artie, observed a girl lick her ice cream. The girl looked at him, and Artie smiled back at her. The girl then stuck her tongue out at him and glared. Artie, retaliating, did the same, sticking out his black and pronged tongue. The girl turned away, frightened, stuffing her face into her mother's dress.
“Artie?” Ororo called out to the young boy, the boy in question turning to look up at his teacher. “Not here.” She said, giving a little smile, softly shaking her head.
Not only minutes later did someone call out her name, “Storm?” She turned to see Jean and Scott walking with a group of other kids. “Everything okay?” Jean asked her, and Ororo nodded.
“Yeah. How was the medical exhibit?” She asked Jean, glancing between Jean and Scott.
Jean rolled her eyes, “The kids liked it. Scott was bored.” She answered, looking over to Scott for a second.
“It was boring,” Scott announced, his hands stuffed into his pockets, a small frown on his face.
Ororo did a quick headcount of the kids, freaking out only slightly when she was a few kids off, “Jean, where are the others?” She queried worriedly, turning to them again.
Meanwhile, around the same time, over in the cafeteria, Rogue, Bobby, and Pyro were sitting at a table, talking. They sneaked off from the museum's many exhibits, wanting to rather hang out without the constant gaze of teachers. As they were talking, a voice came out of nowhere and cut their conversation short. “Hey man, can I have a light?” A teenager asked in a snappy tone, his friend standing beside him.
Pyro looked down at his lighter, which was painted to look like a shark, and he flicked it a few times, the fire igniting. “Sorry, can’t help you out, pal.” He replied, closing his lighter, looking at the two teens nonchalantly.
“Why are you being such a jerk, man?” The second teen demanded, clearly ticked off.
“Yeah, why are you being a jerk?” The first teen questioned, the same annoyed tone in his voice, matching his friends as they both glared at the Pyrokinesis teen.
Pyro and Bobby ignored the two teens, going on to discuss if Rogue was having a good time or not when suddenly the second teenager grabbed Pyro’s lighter.
“Hey!” Pyro exclaimed, defensively, watching as the teenager handed the lighter to his friend. Pyro stood up and walked to them to get his lighter back, but the second teenager held him back, while the first teenager lit his cigarette. “That’s really funny, bro.” Pyro said maliciously.
The second teenager only smirked, “What are you gonna do?” His friend took a drag of his cigarette, and blew the smog into Pyro’s face. “Suddenly you’re not so tough.” The teenager told, as his friend breathed in from his cigarette.
Pyro looked at the first teenager and winked, causing the cigarette to catch up in flames, fire landing on the teenager’s arm. Many people got up and stepped back, as the teenager tried to put out the flames, and fell down onto a table, causing it to fall over with him. Pyro chuckled a bit, hiding part of his face with his hand as Bobby stretched out his own hand, sending a current of frost toward the teenager on fire; the flame dying down. The teenager stared at both Bobby and Pyro with a panicked look, before the room froze. Everyone was quiet, still as statues, as if they were mannequins or a video paused. Pyro wandered over to Bobby, who looked as startled as the kid who he had saved from Pyro's flames.
“Bobby, what did you do?” Rogue asked her boyfriend, super perplexed as she looked rapidly around the large cafeteria.
Pyro shook his hand in front of the second teenager, getting no response as Bobby frowned. “I didn’t do this.” He spoke before a person wheeled out of the halted crowd.
“No, I did.” Charles announced, stopping in front of Rogue, Bobby, and Pyro in his wheelchair. “And the next time you feel like showing off, don’t.” The head professor responded, giving the small group a sharp stare.
Before anything else could happen, the TV on the side of the wall began to play, talking about something happening in Washington D.C. Charles, the professors, and the kids watched as the man on the news spoke, “We are here in Washington, where there has been an attack in the oval office in The White House. Details are still coming slowly, all we know is the President and Vice President were not harmed. Sources say the attack involved one or more mutants.”
“I think it’s time to leave, professor.” Scott stated as Charles nodded his head.
“I think you’re right.” He replied, watching the TV.
Soon the people in the cafeteria unfroze, and everything turned back to normal. When the two teenagers unfroze, they saw that Bobby, Pyro, and Rogue were gone. People looked around confused and worriedly, wondering what had just happened.
~~~
Over at Xavier’s School For Gifted Youngsters, Scott looked out the window and turned to Jean and Charles, his arms crossed. The room was tense with worry and confusion, none of them knowing what exactly they should do about what had happened in Washington. “In my opinion, I think Magneto is behind all this.”
“No, I don’t think so Scott.” Jean stated, looking at him from her place on the sofa.
“While Eric might have organized something like this from prison, for him the gesture is far too… Irrational. It only hurts his goal of mutant prosperity.” Charles responded in his chair.
If people could see Scott's eyes, he'd be rolling them, “You mean superiority.”
“If Eric had his way, yes.” In the background, the TV screen presented photographs of dissidents on both views of the mutant issue.
“You know how the government will respond to this. They’ll re-introduce the Registration Act.” Ororo spoke to Charles, Jean, and Scott, crossing her own arms in discomfort.
Charles frowned, “Or worse.” He stared at the protesters on tv, not really knowing what to think.
“Do you think the mutant was working alone?” Jean then asked after everyone went silent.
“The only way we’ll know is if we find him before the authorities do.” Charles answered, finishing their conversation.
~~~
In The White House, in the Oval Office, Stryker emerged to greet Anne Reynolds, his right hand in command. They walked through the outer hallway, which is being repaired from the attack.
“Mr. Stryker.” Senator Kelly called, adjusting his suit.
Stryker and Anne stopped and turned around to see Senator Kelly. “Senator Kelly, this is Anne Reynolds, my director of special projects.” Stryker introduced the tall woman in a gray suit.
“My pleasure.” Anne shook Kelly’s hand tightly. A little too tightly and a little too long, Kelly noticed.
“Nice grip.” Kelly began, dropping her hand, “Listen, if you’d like to talk further about what you’re planning, I’d be available to offer my assistan-”
Stryker cut him off, “Thanks for the offer, Senator, but everything is already in place.” He smiled eerily, patting him on the shoulder. As Stryker and Anne walked away, Senator Kelly rubbed his fingers together, his eyes flashed yellow.
~~~
In the living room of Charles’s mansion, Rogue sat on the couch next to Bobby, her gloved hand in his. Two boys sat at a table behind the couch, snickering and quietly laughing at the couple, but their laughter died down when the sound of a motorcycle was heard, causing Rogue to jump from her seat with an excited smile on her face. She headed to the front entrance, Bobby following close behind.
“Logan!” She threw her arms around the Wolverine, who hugged her back.
“Hey Rogue.” She backed up, smiling as Bobby appeared behind her, “Who’s this?” Logan then questioned, looking at Bobby up and down, observing him.
“This is Bobby, he’s-”
Wrapping a hand around her waist protectively, Bobby responded, cutting Rogue off, “Her boyfriend.” Logan and Bobby shook hands, doing so, crackling ice and vapors rose from the handshake, Logan raising an eyebrow at the sort of macho scene. Rogue just rolled her eyes. “They call me Iceman.” Bobby stated.
Logan wasn’t impressed. “Right.” Logan then turned to Rogue. “Boyfriend? So how do you guys..?” His words trailed off as Bobby pulled Rouge closer into his side.
“Well, we’re still working on it.” Bobby answered irritatedly, looking at Rogue and then to Logan.
“Look who’s come back.” Logan turned around to find Ororo, smiling at him as she climbed down the stairs of the mansion. Wearing a white flowy long sleeved shirt, radiant as always. “Just in time.” She finished, walking over to the man and teens.
“For what?” Logan asked, tilting his head slightly as Ororo smiled teasingly.
Her smile widened, “Cause we need a babysitter.”
“A babysitter?” Logan inquired, looking confused.
Ororo said nothing else about the matter, turning to leave, “Nice to see you again, Logan.”
“Hey, Logan.” A new voice spoke up. Logan turned to the stairs once more, his eyes widening slightly as he watched Jean walk down the stairs that Ororo previously came from.
“Hi, Jean.” Logan replied, a small fond smile on his face.
“I’m going to… I’m… I’m gonna get the plane ready…” Ororo walked off, knowing she didn’t want to interrupt anything they had going on.
“Hey, well, it was good to meet you.” Bobby quickly stated, before taking Rogue’s hand.
Rouge gave Logan a little wave before being pulled away with Bobby, “Bye, Logan, I’ll see you later.”
Logan then turned back to Jean. “Okay..,” Logan spoke, the awkwardness becoming a bit too much.
“Ororo and I are heading to Boston. We won't be gone long. The Professor wants us to track down a mutant who attacked the President.” Jean explained, as Logan frowned.
“So it was a mutant.” Logan said, confirming his suspicion.
Jean couldn’t help but smile teasingly up at him, “You’ll be here when we get back unless you plan on running off again.”
“I can probably find a few reasons to stick around.” Logan said with a small smirk just before Scott walked into the room.
“Find what you’re looking for, Logan?” Scott asked, also walking down the stairs.
“More or less.” Logan answered, not-so-subtly looking at Jean as she walked over to Scott.
“I’ll see you, boys, later.” Jean replied, before kissing Scott on the cheek, leaving the room.
“Be safe.” Scott said, worriedly.
She smiled, looking back at Logan, “Bye.” She then left the room and headed to the jet.
“See ya.” Logan called after she left.
There was a moment of silence between Scott and Logan. They just stared at each other, the tension high in the air, as both men were in love with Jean in some way or another.
“Aren't you going to welcome me home?” Logan asked Scott cockily, tauntingly as Scott stood there, giving Logan a glare, or what probably was a glare; he hands on his hips, “Your bike needs gas.” Logan then declared, throwing Scott’s motorcycle keys to him.
Scott caught his keys but threw them back and Logan caught them skillfully. “Then fill her up.” He replied, before leaving Logan alone again.
Day 17: "You don't get it!--" [Reader x Wolverine (Logan Howlett)] {X-Men}
Trying to control Logan was not a task that was easy to accomplish, especially not with his ex-wife involved. You were only trying to keep things from escalating to a full-blown fight, but you were losing. You knew Logan, knew how deeply intense he loved people.
A love like that doesn't just go away...
"I used to think you were the moon," Logan was barely allowing himself to be held back by you, "But you were the trickster, weren't you?"
"Logan, please." You murmured in his ear, "There's no time for all this. The kids..."
"You don't get it!" He threw you off like a ragdoll, "You don't understand what they did to me!"
Before you hit the ground, another set of hands caught you. They were somewhat gentle, except for how hard your shoulders were being squeezed... the talons extending outward, threatening to pierce the skin.
"Tch. Tch. Tch." A much deeper voice of the person behind you, "So needlessly violent to someone who was just trying to help. You really are just like me, little brother..."
"You let them go."
The chill of Logan's voice was not helping the tension. But the man behind you, Logan's brother... Leaned down, head against your shoulder.
"But you threw them away." He sneered, "Why shouldn't I catch them?"
You inhaled sharply, his talons, his nails had breached your clothes. Not quite breaking the skin, but very, dangerously close.
"I said let them go." Logan distended his claws, full attention on the man behind you, "They have nothing to do with this. And I won't let you hurt them."
"Oh, you won't let me?" Your chin yanked up as his hand curled around your neck, "I don't think you get that choice, little brother. Unless you're saying you want to fight me by yourself."
"Yes."
It was a brief second of relief before you actually hit the ground. Panting and shaking as Logan and his... you hesitated to say brother now that you got a good look at the man, charged one another.
Freaking out at another set of hands on you so quickly, you were slapping away at his ex-wife. The look on her face was apologetic, remorseful.
"I never meant to hurt Logan." She admitted, "I truly did love him as well, I just..."
"Everyone says that." You scoffed, "But no one wants to own up to how much they hurt others."
"It's my sister." She seemed desperate, "Striker has my sister and forced me to do this."
"She's a mutant?" Standing up, you both had an opportunity to escape while Logan fought, "And you didn't think that Striker wouldn't keep her healthy until he got what he wanted? You fell for the oldest bullsh^t in the book."
You seemed to get through to her at least. But now wasn't the time to chastise and ponder. There had to be a way out of this base, a way that got everyone out safely...
Unforeseen Love
i may be in my logan howlett era right now, but it's fine! just means some nice little fics for my fav X-Man!
Tumblr media
Logan/James Howlett x Reader
They/them pronouns used!!
Summary: While on a mission with Logan, Y/N gets seriously hurt, leading to them being in the medical bay for several days as Hank helps them recover. Although Y/N and Logan had never gotten along, Y/N is surprised when Logan sticks by their side throughout their entire recovery. This ends in a heartfelt, sweet and loving kiss shared by the two!
Unforeseen Love
Logan Howlett, better known as Wolverine, grumbled under his breath as he and Y/N made their way through the dense forest. The tension between them was palpable, and it seemed like sparks could fly any moment. They had despised each other from day one, an inexplicable clash of personalities that neither could overcome.
Little did they know, a deeper connection existed beneath the surface. Y/N had a mutant ability akin to Charles Xavier's, but instead of delving into the thoughts of others, they could sense emotions. Logan, however, had mastered the art of keeping his feelings locked away, a shield that even Y/N couldn't penetrate.
The mission they were on required stealth and precision, a trait Logan excelled in. He led the way, his adamantium claws unsheathed, eyes scanning the surroundings with uncanny precision. Y/N followed, their senses alert but wary of the man they begrudgingly worked alongside.
As they moved deeper into the mission, the unexpected happened. A sudden ambush from an unforeseen enemy left Y/N injured and struggling. Logan's fierce protective instincts kicked in, and he fought with a newfound intensity to ensure Y/N's safety. In the midst of the chaos, a blade grazed Y/N's side, leaving them incapacitated.
The pain hit Y/N like a tidal wave, and Logan's gruff voice called out their name in concern. The world around them blurred as consciousness slipped away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Y/N awoke, the sterile scent of the X-Men's medical facility filled their senses. The pain in their side was dulled, thanks to the advanced healing technology. Blinking against the harsh lights, they groggily turned their head to find Logan sitting nearby, his expression etched with worry.
"Finally awake, huh?" Logan's tone was gruff, but Y/N caught a glimmer of concern in his eyes.
"What happened?" Y/N asked, feigning ignorance to the emotions swirling around them.
Logan hesitated, his usual tough exterior momentarily softened. "You got yourself hurt. It was touch and go for a bit, but Hank patched you up."
Despite the pain, Y/N couldn't help but notice the sincerity in Logan's voice. Their ability to sense emotions hinted at something more, something beyond the animosity that had defined their relationship.
"You were worried about me," Y/N stated, almost as if testing the waters.
Logan grunted, looking away as if annoyed by the revelation. "Don't get used to it. I just didn't want to babysit a rookie."
Y/N smirked, realizing that perhaps there was more to Logan Howlett than met the eye. As they lay in the medical bay, recovering from their injuries, the unspoken connection between them began to unravel. Maybe, just maybe, beneath the layers of resentment, there was a flicker of something else—an understanding that transcended words.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The days in the medical bay blurred together for Y/N. Their injuries were healing, but what surprised them even more was Logan's constant presence. He would leave only to return with food, grumbling about the lack of decent grub around the X-Mansion. As much as Logan tried to maintain his tough exterior, there was an unspoken tenderness in the way he cared for Y/N.
As Y/N lay on the medical bay bed on the third day, a subtle shift in the air caught their attention. It wasn't the usual mix of irritation and restraint that emanated from Logan. Instead, an overwhelming sense of love and concern filled the room. Y/N furrowed their brow, confused by this unexpected surge of emotion.
Logan entered the room, carrying a tray of food. His eyes met Y/N's, and for a moment, the gruff exterior wavered. It was as if a floodgate had opened, allowing Y/N to sense the depth of Logan's emotions.
"What's with the sudden outpouring of affection, Howlett?" Y/N teased, trying to hide the vulnerability that was bubbling up within them.
Logan scowled, seemingly caught off guard by the question. "I ain't showin' affection. Just making sure you don't die on us."
Y/N chuckled, but there was a knowing glint in their eyes. "You can't fool me, Logan. I can feel it, you know. The concern, the… love."
Logan's expression tightened, and he looked away. The barrier he had meticulously built around his emotions had crumbled, and there was no denying the truth anymore.
"I don't do this mushy crap," Logan grumbled, but his voice lacked the usual conviction.
Y/N sat up, a determination in their eyes. "Logan, you can't hide from me anymore. I can feel what you're feeling, and it's okay. More than okay."
Logan sighed, a rare vulnerability surfacing in his gaze. "Damn it, kid. You're messin' with my head."
Y/N reached out, gently cupping Logan's face. "Maybe it's time we stop fighting each other and admit what's been staring us in the face all along."
Logan's defenses crumbled further as Y/N closed the distance between them. Their lips met in a sweet, lingering kiss, a silent acknowledgment of the emotions that had been hidden for too long. In that moment, the unspoken bond between them deepened, transcending the animosity that had defined their relationship.
As they pulled away, Logan's gruff exterior softened, and Y/N couldn't help but smile. Sometimes, it took a brush with vulnerability to uncover the hidden truths. Love had a way of breaking through even the toughest of walls, and for Logan and Y/N, it was the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with understanding, acceptance, and a love that had finally been acknowledged.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
i'm pretty sure i'm in love with him.... but that's okay! also, i love how Logan is also an Albertan 😎💪
