i wanna talk about one really small detail from Wendall and Wild that i absolutely loved
on the back of the cyclops, there’s a sticker that says Pure Hell on it. Pure Hell is an 80’s black punk band. they’re relatively obscure, only 7,000 monthly listeners on spotify.
i dont know who chose to add that, and which ever behind the scenes person chose to do it probably knew it wouldn’t be something many people understood and could have chosen a more well known punk band to reference. but this just feels so much more genuine.

I’m fascinated by the logistics of the cereal convention. how exactly do you go about organising that kind of thing?
how do you get in contact with hundreds of different serial killers? do they have a discord server? a reddit forum?
how do you convince all of them that that many different criminals that close together, isnt a trap and is also a good idea? how did they plan to keep people from figuring it out?
and really? no one gets killed the whole time?

while both cecil and sans are both og sexymen, neither are typical sexymen. cause normally tumblr sexymen are broody bad boys and while you could argue sans is a bad boy, he’s by no means broody. both of these guys are so goofy.

I'm about to lose my fucking mind, I need to talk about this show so bad. This is not going to be completely coherent, I just need to get my thoughts down.
this show feels like everything the original trilogy was, but scaled down. more nuanced.
the way the grassroots of the rebellion start, the individual operations, with no connection to other groups, rather than large organized missions they accomplish later.
the subtle tyranny and oppression. this isn't planetary genocide, like the destruction of Alderaan. This is police operations outside jurisdiction and forcing people off their lands. But they're connected and tend to lead to each other.
The way the imperials are so sure of themselves, certain that nothing can go wrong. the way they've manipulated everything around them that they think they have more control than they do.
the bureaucracy shown in the ISB, and how they all don't care about anything outside their box because the only thing they really care about is their position rather than taking care of the people under them. (i don't have a full thought together but these scenes make an interesting comparison with Alexsandr Kallus that i want to talk about eventually)
the cop whose name i forgot, who cared so much about blind justice that he broke protocol and got people hurt, in contrast to his boss who cared more about the numbers and looking good than his own people.
The fake solidarity or whatever, that the empire uses to subdue the Aldhani people. by letting them go to their own land and giving them the goat skin. while simultaneously trying to impede their celebration and being annoyed by their presence on their own planet.
The way people fight back. The Aldhani peoples LOUD celebration and the people of Ferrix with the ringing the bells.
Nemik's manifesto and they way he talked, so full of hope. The way Skeen has been broken by the machine of the empire that it's caused him to live only for himself and have such general disregard for his teammates and fellow man.
Even the inclusion of the practical effects of the doctors arms, and the costumes and set design.
I might make individual posts expanding on some of these points but,
This is Star Wars. This feels like what Star Wars is meant to be.

anyways with a library card, Hoopla gives you access to a crazy number of movies, tv shows, ebooks, audiobooks, comics, music all for FREE!!!!!
it’s a fantastic resource, and there is literally no reason not to get it. also, having a library card helps your local library get more funding.
ALSO ALSO, if the thing you’re looking for is not on hoopla, check your library’s website. a lot of libraries in the US use Libby (which also has an app) but not all of them so check that out.
Library websites will also have ebooks, audiobooks, movies etc. it’s varies more depending on the library but is still completely FREE and 100% worth checking out

i graduated with my associates and am in an indefinite gap year (i have no plans of going back to school anytime soon) and legit right as school starts back up for everyone else i realise what topic i would love to study on a collegiate level
except I’m really glad to not be going back to school right now and also no schools in my area offer any kind of class on the kind of specific topic i like and i also kind of dont want to write essays which would be inevitable in a class

Progress photo for my second furby. I’m knitting the body myself. most of the work is being done on sunday mornings while at church. that’s the only time in get to knit and also it feels pretty cursed.
