Sometimes @turbulentscrawl has to hear me be silly lol (a lot) with one brain cell active when in matches with Fool's Gold

Rated: Mature | Warnings: pet play (in horny jail again)

It was a joke! You told him that, repeatedly, what you said was a joke! You should have known he would take to the next step and further.

“Norton, I was kidding!” Nervous as the hunter removes his belt.

“And so am I. Let's play a little while longer.” Using to his advantage your inability to fight back from being downed by his attack. Even if he is your partner, both of him, he will still do his job. Norton will make sure it is quick.

You make a gagging sound as he wraps the belt around your neck and pulls before locking it in place by the buckle, a sadistic grin on his face as you grab the belt and are dragged closer to him while on your knees.

“Bark.” He says with a sudden serious face.

“What!?” Shocked yet you should not given he loves degrading you before fucking you. Hunter Norton likes to see you in tears and sucks at aftercare.

“Bark or I can chair you.”

You glare at him, “...” Going on all fours and glaring at him, “Woof.”

He laughs, long and hard, even hitting his knee as if that was the greatest joke of all time! “God, you are something else, sparky.” Oh, fuck him for taking this too far. “Now bark with some enthusiasm!”

You do it, and you do it louder too, you swear to never joke around him again! The alarm goes off singling the ciphers are done but you know Norton won't let you live just yet.

“Hmm, I can see the appeal.” Walking with you crawling on your hands and knees towards the dungeon, “Think about it, you can either behave and get rewarded. Or you can be a bitch and get muzzled.”

You say nothing nor do you move after that statement.

“Maybe this will get you to start behaving with me, sparky.”

You roll your eyes.

“Give me your paw.” Gesturing as he presents his broken hand, “Come on, come on, pup.” Talking to you as if you are a dog.

It was risky your reaction but you attacked him, pushing him forward and growling at him before hopping into the dungeon.

“Oh, come on! I was teasing!”

“No, fuck you! Fuck you my knees and palm hurt!”

“That sounds like the usual— I was kidding! Don't ignore me. Come on, sparky.” You refuse to acknowledge him as you are about to leave the room you both went to in order to meet after the match. Norton is sorry but you are not pleased nor forgiving at the moment.

“Maybe if you get on your knees and crawl around in the fucking snow, I might look at you.” Huffing, you are at the door but not opening it, he tugs on your shirt with his good hand; you move with him until he has you sitting down on the old couch. It took a lot of work to make the attic both comfortable and breathable. Both Nortons had to for once put something above themselves and worked together to make this space. Greed can be useful! Especially when that greed is towards you.

It is not a five-star luxury hotel level but you loved it, adding your touch to their work.

A pocket of peace.

“(Name).” Soft-toned, “I am very sorry.” Your foot bounces your leg. “I didn't mean it. You looked really good and you know I can't help myself around you.”

“Pft, sounds like a you problem, goldie.”

“Please forgive me.” Resting his head on your lap. His chest pressed against your legs, “So sorry.” Look up at you with a sweet smile. The height difference is humorous yet endearing given this Fool's Gold who often is an ass.

“Hmm,” Norton picks his head up to kiss where the belt left its mark, the mark is not too bad but you had removed it after coming out of the dungeon and you swore you going to burn his damn belt! “Fine. God, I hate when you use begging against me.” Because you do and are very weak to how his voice lowers, his eyes half shut, and the way he just submits.

Awful man, terrible man, and you love him so much. Norton knows it, both of them do!

Pushing buttons because you are their ‘spark’ and they love that fire of yours roar with life. May you never change.

The hunter laughs as you pet his hair while grumbling about him being nice or something.

Reactions to Cale Snow's Chapter 234

TL;DR - Baby snake goes with Cale and Raon. Eruhaben roleplays as Dennis's knight. Kendall and Rasheel's fight continues. Clopeh is planning a sneak attack while in hiding with Lock.

Raon and the Baby Snake The scene between the two today were so cute. 🥰

Snake: *snuggles to Cale* Cale: Aren't you going? Aren't you going to return to your mommy? Snake: …I don't wanna go. *rubs face to Cale's cheek* Raon: *clenching fists and huffing and puffing as if he didn't know what to do* Cale: *sighs and feels confused on how to deal with the jealous dragon and the stubborn snake* Cale: Your mommy is sick. Is it okay to not be with her? Snake: Seeing her is hard and heartbreaking... Raon: *flinches* Raon: Human, let's just go together! Didn't you say that we will meet that white snake's mommy later anyway? The snake can meet its mommy then! Snake: ... You're a good dragon? Raon: I'm a wonderful dragon! A very great dragon! Snake: ...A cool dragon? Raon: Yes! Snake: ...A great dragon? Raon: Yes, a very great dragon! Cale: *amazed at how quickly they got along* Eru: *laughing*

Knight Eruhaben Our goldie-gramps is back to his roleplaying. He's pretending to be a swordmaster again, and King Dennis's knight. The reason is because the nobles who sided with the empire have begun to move.

Duke Tols was the leader of the faction opposing the king, and was famous for worshipping the Holy Empire. However, he was the best mage out of the only 3 mages of the Har Kingdom.

And this duke had requested an audience with the king. Dennis and Eruhaben guessed that the Holy Empire had noticed that something was wrong, so they quickly moved Duke Tols to "inquire/investigate" the situation.

Indomitable Rasheel Most of the chapter focused on Rasheel's fight. Sure, he was being beaten by Kendall, but he did not give up. Rather, he was embarrassed at the thought of being seen in this state by Lock or Gashan.

And when Kendall remarked that Rasheel was alone, Rasheel could only find that remark funny. Because it was true. The dragons of Nameless 1 lived alone and had no one by their side, so Rasheel did not feel that this remark was an insult.

He realized that the forces on this world was not on his side, and Kendall's attribute of victory also contributed to his current situation. But it was the perfect situation for his attribute, Indomitable, to shine. Our tsundere dragon did not give up and was slowly becoming stronger.

However, there was one thing Rasheel was wrong. Clopeh did not escape. Rather, Clopeh was hiding together with Lock, waiting for a chance to launch a sneak attack against Kendall. And poor Lock was troubled, having recalled the advice of Raon to be careful of Clopeh who had a few loose screws on his head. 😂

Ending Remarks Today had a lot of funny and warm moments. Raon's interaction with the baby snake was cute and heartwarming. 🥰 Rasheel's fight made me cheer for him, and Clopeh... 🤣🤣🤣 I wonder, will Cale arrive just in time to intervene in the fight? Will Rasheel turn the situation around? And will Clopeh's plan for a sneak attack be successful? I guess we'll all find out the answers next Friday!

Sometimes I think about that emd kendratello art you did and its so funny to think about 2 who is fully on board with destroying all humans like. Bringing a human girl home to draxum and 1 and being like this is kendra she stole my tech and shot me in the leg, I'm obsessed with her and am thinking about her carnally 24/7. Like what could possibly be the reaction to that. Even if he's living with the Hamatos at that point. How could you possibly respond to 'i want her because she wants me dead'.

Oh, One hates Kendra regardless if she's just an acquaintance, friend, or girlfriend. He hates her. He thinks she's a bad influence on his brother and she is. In One's eyes, Kendra encourages Two's recklessness, puts him in constant danger and has no regard for his feelings or safety.

For Two, I think Kendra makes him feel validated and useful, but he hates her because she uses him for his tech. When it comes down to it, Kendra knows that Two is smarter so whenever she compliments him, she means it even if she's planning to double cross him later and steal his stuff lmao. I kinda picture their general relationship to be sorta like Scrooge and Goldie from DuckTales 2017. They're enemies but they have their moments We won't incorporate a romantic relationship in the fic, but I will say that EMD Kendra is very loyal to the Purple Dragons and if she and Two were to establish a bond, she could potentially be very loyal to him too.

Let's make one thing clear i wasn't the og anon who asked you about the "did jungkook said all those vile things to jm" but i did saw it so i commented on it and i stand by the fact that making fun of someone's looks when the said person is insecure about his looks is "evil" cause it is. The male treat e/o differently bs you can keep to yourself cause teasing is one thing but making fun of someone's insecurity is not the same get that fact clear.

Did i anywhere said jungkook is not jimin's friend? NO i did not so idk exactly what y'all are yapping about. Did i say "And jk is the standard of love for jkkrs" refering to his past self which jkkrs romanticize and glorify? Yes i did. so now what all it means is i said jungkook is not "the partner" for jimin and i never commented on their friendship and there's difference between friendship and romantic relationship. You can't always chose your friends or even best friends as your romantic partner cause you don't feel it and it doens't work like that. Just because someone's friends with you doens't mean you see them as your partner cause you want more and different. We all have our idiosyncrasies and I think BTS work so well because they have learned to respect eachother's boundaries- well some of them.

I think if that was Jimins boundaries he is entitled to his boundaries and all anyone can do is respect those boundaries.

But I'm starting to also appreciate why JK solos would equally hate Jimin and Jimin stans like you.

I just think about it but the whole Ray's plan at the beginning would have failed in so many ways.

Connie could have wondered where was her plushie at the moment of crossing the door.

Imagine if Emma and Norman have run into Isabella on the way to the gate (because she would have heard them by exemple) and tell "mama, Connie forget her plushie" so Isabella would have took it and say "Connie meets her parents right now. It's better to not bother her. I'll put it with his baggage"

Can you imagine if they were come back to Ray, saying "don't worry, we meet Mum on the way and she took it"

Ray: *internal screaming*

I mean Connie was the LAST shipment before Ray. It was 3 months, more or less, before his own shipment. If he had failed, what could he have done? Said the truth? Would Emma and Norman believe THAT without seeing it? Well all the others escapees believed it. But Emma was deeply attached to Isabella, she had need to see the demons to believe it.

But i understand that making his plan tro motion when let's say Hao was shipped (i think it was him before Connie?) would have given more time, and mayvbe on security if his plan had failed to re-do it the next time, but then Emma would have to accept Connie's shippement if they were not ready. Sacrifie her to save all the others. Pretty sure that she wouldn't have, and i don't even speak about Don here.

It's kinda sad to think that, even if the escapees managed to run away from the farm, happy to be free, happy that Ray is alive and all, their survival wasn't assured until they got in the bunker and even before, until they meet Sonju and Mujika. I mean without Sonju and Mujika, Emma could have died of infection and Ray would have been killed by demons, few hours after have been saved by Emma and few MINUTES after have decided to live for his family. (Sonju saved him just in time) The escape would be over very quickly for them. Not sure that the other kids would have managed to survive alone, without their big siblings to guide them :/ (meaning they wouldn't have reached the bunker at all or at least a lot later) (meaning that Yuugo would have killed himself) (Goldy Pond wouldn't have succeeded as well that in canon, a lot more would be dead) (and can you imagine Norman's reaction after his escape TT)

The first thing I usually think of is what a crapshoot Ray's idea is to have Emma and Norman go to the gate with Little Bunny in the first place.

On the one hand, it's a testament to his faith in them.

On the other hand, he is so disproportionately lucky on his bet that the demons wouldn’t pick up on their scents right away. He had, at best, fragmentary knowledge of demon physiology from his earliest months where maaaybe he could remember how well their sense of smell worked?

(Chapter 28; we're not going to think how they were paying special attention to him as Isabella the youngest mom in the history of the Grace Field and who's off limits to eat's child, so he's the next best thing as her progeny if he ends up not being good enough of an offering for the demon god)

The only reasons the two lackey demons don’t come after Emma and Norman right away are they’re caught up in conversation and probably a bit intoxicated off the idea of being able to eat even "just a fingertip" of Conny (and being charitable to Isabella, she probably doesn’t notice them sneak away because she’s grappling internally over seeing the life of another child she raised for five years snuffed out and having to keep up an iron façade about it.)

I like to joke that Emma is integral to the escape plan for her sheer obstinate railroading of any hiccups of probability, most egregiously expressed in it securing someone with a Minerva pen who was willing to give it up for them so they weren’t left wandering aimlessly outside the walls of Grace Field, who only got the pen in the first place because she lit off a lantern as a child that a Minerva supporter happened to come across by coincidence,

and bringing two of the only few demons in the entire demon world who won’t eat them for different reasons to their aid when they most desperately needed it, and that only happened because Leuvis was bored one day 700 years ago and decided to help his brother and his brother's new girlfriend escape the imperial capital by bringing them his horse in the third light novel. I love TPN.

Oh, bud. Don't cry. You'll be alright. It'll take some time, but you'll work through this. And I'm here for you every step of the way. 😚

Yes, we can go and bury Goldie. And have a wake. Sure, sure... I'll get all the boys round and we'll all celebrate Goldie the Goldfish and the incredible eight day life that he led... Would you like that?

Today, Dieter and I are going to be talking about a rather heavy subject, coping with loss. This will include talking about bereavement, as well as other types of loss. Including aquatic fish, apparently.

⭐️ We have two special guests (here's your clues as to who they are: 🤠 & 💪🏻) here to help us today explain how loss has affected them, and how they are moving forward.

☝🏻If you'd rather skip this week's Self-Care with Dieter & Jett because of the subject matter, we completely understand. And if you're currently trying to come to terms with a loss, of any kind, we're sending you our utmost love.

But we hope that this post can help offer some comfort, and a smile, if you need it.

One thing we all have in common, no matter where we come from or where we are in our lives, is that at some point, we will all experience some form of loss.

No D, I'm not talking about losing your keys... again. I told you to put them on the damn hook. 🙄

Loss comes in many forms. It can be the breakdown of a relationship, a friendship, losing a pet or a loved one in their passing. It can also be the loss of some sense of yourself too.

No matter what the loss, we feel it irrevocably and it's something that will always stay with us. When it happens, it can feel like it'll be a mountain that we'll never peak. We can't imagine how we can find the strength to carry on without them.

It can feel like our grief will never subside.

But Dieter and I are here to tell you today, with the help of two special guests, that you can, and will, get through it.

You won't fully move on as such, and anyone that tells you that you will, is probably offering some unhelpful advice or may not have experienced a loss yet themselves. The last thing you want to hear when you're dealing with grief is for someone to tell you "you'll be okay."

Ultimately you will, but hearing it whilst you're grieving isn't helpful to some.

Most people want someone who they can share their feelings with, to talk about the good things. Someone to help navigate through the practical things that come with dealing with a loss. Someone to just hold their hand and sit with them quietly. Some people just want to be left alone.

Grief is such a personal journey, we all deal with it differently. And there's no right or wrong way on how to transition through that journey, but the important thing to try and remember is that you will move forward through it, even if it doesn't feel like it.

And to show yourself some kindness.

But what is grief exactly and why do we feel it?

Grief is our natural reaction to loss. To losing something or someone we hold very dear. It's an emotional response triggered by that loss.

Grief can be difficult and stressful to navigate, and nearly everybody goes through it at some point in their lives. Despite this, it can be very difficult to predict how we might react to a loss, as it's a very individual process.

But everyone will go through the seven stages of grief.

The Seven Stages of Grief

The stages of the grieving process include shock, denial, guilt, anger & bargaining, depression, testing, and acceptance. However, people don't always go through the process in this particular order, and some steps last longer than the others.

The grieving process is not linear, it is different for us all, but each stage is something you will go through, even if you're unconscious to it.

Shock

When you first find out about the passing of a loved one, your initial reaction might be shock or complete disbelief. You’re not quite in denial, you just can’t even begin to compartmentalise what has just happened. This is a defence mechanism that is designed to protect you from pain.

This stage can explain why we can plan a funeral or make other arrangements immediately after a death - you’re in a state of suspension until you're able to grieve.

Denial

While denial shares similarities to disbelief, it is its own coping mechanism and also helps you to deal with grief and pain. You might simply deny that your loved one is gone, or push the thoughts out of your head. Some people can get stuck in a pathological and chronic state of denial and refuse to admit that anything bad has happened too.

Guilt

Guilt can feel like a punch to the gut. It’s completely normal to wonder what you could have done to prevent the loss from happening. Even if you had no control over it.

Anger & Bargaining

This stage usually occurs after the ceremonies and funerals, for example. The comforting family and friends have left you to be alone, and you’re trying to go about your life as usual. That’s often when the anger comes in, and bargaining as well.

You might start to feel angry at the doctors, or another party, and perhaps even at your loved one themselves for passing. This anger can often cause a person to feel even more guilt, but know that it is entirely normal, and provides a necessary emotional release.

In some cases, people begin to ‘bargain’ mentally, even though they know it's in vain. For example, “I would do anything to have them back.”

Depression

Now that you have fully acknowledged the loss, it is common to experience depression and/or a deep sadness. You may also feel lonely and isolated from other loved ones. This can be an especially poignant time to seek the help and guidance of a grief counsellor who can help you through the pain.

Testing

By this time, you may still find yourself moving up and down the ladder, but are building a new life without your loved one and living a ‘new normal.’ The hurt may feel raw and painful, but you now know that you cannot change the situation.

Though you may not be fully ready to accept it, you know that life has to go on.

Acceptance

The final stage is acceptance. You have worked through the most painful and difficult work of grieving, and you accept that your loved one is gone and that you need to continue living your life.

Although the grief will always be with you to some degree, acceptance helps you make space for it rather than allowing it to control you anymore.

How The Pedro Boys deal with grief

Today, two of the Pedro Boys have offered to share their stories on grief, so that you can better understand the stages of it, and perhaps may even recognise some of them in your own journey.

Jack's Story 🤠

Jack, my darling. Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with me today.

Aww, you're welcome, sugar. Anything for you, Jett.

Thank you. May I ask about your sweetheart? Can you tell our friends about what happened and how it's affected you, if you're comfortable to?

Sure, sweet thing. You see now, my sweetheart and I we were high school lovers. She was the prettiest darn thing. I knew in my heart I just had to sweep her off her feet from the moment I laid eyes on her.

I bet you did just that.

You know it, darlin'. hearts n' flowers. The whole she-bang. Hoo! She couldn't stand me at first, you know that?

I find that hard to believe, Jack.

Well aren't you just a peach, Jett. Got me blushin' something hard over here. We were lab partners and I was a persistent bastard and not that much good at science. Well, now biology I understand... that's my kind of language! She told me she liked that about me, that I never gave up.

She liked the chase?

We both did. She was a shy little thing and I was, well, just me. Dumb and eager to show her some loving the proper way. I knew she liked me too. She'd had this little smile just for me, and it made me feel all kinds of something.

Well, you're hard to resist, Jack.

You ever been wooed by a cowboy, Jett?

Can't say that I have.

We might have to change that...

Easy now.

I'm just sayin'. You look like you could do with some cowboy in ya. Now who's blushing?

Carry on with the story, handsome.

Well alrighty. I took her to the dance and we just fell for each other in a big ol' way. I suppose you could call it serendipity. Either way she was the love of my life. Oh, you should have seen how hard I fell. Damn fool. My heart was beatin' faster than August rain on a hot tin roof!

That sounds beautiful.

It was. She was somethin' kinda special. Y'all know what happened. And if you don't, I'll break it down for ya nice and simple. She was caught in the crossfire of a robbery whilst out grocery shopping. She was pregnant at the time with my boy.

I'm so sorry, Jack. That must've been so hard for you.

One of the hardest things I've ever had to endure. Harder than catching a knife in a lasso. Did I ever show you that?

You did.

Right, right.

So, how did you cope with your grief?

I didn't. Not really. I don't think you ever cope, darlin'. I hit the bottle, hard. I was so fuckin' angry. Christ, I wanted to tear up the world n' everyone in it, believe me. Kinda lost my way there for a bit.

How did you find your way back?

Statesman pulled me in. Threw myself into work mostly. Just got myself through. Kept on keepin' on. The Boys picked me up too. Had a nice circle to console me. But it was hard. I felt so angry for a long time.

Did you blame yourself?

Absolutely I did! I was the one who sent her to the damned store in the first place. If only I had gone myself earlier that day, y'know? She'd still be here. We'd be together raising our son. But she insisted. She wanted to do it. It's a cruel fate, darlin'.

And how have you processed your anger, and moved forward, do you think?

I'm still working through it. Some days are easier than others. I guess you could say that time is a healer. She's always there, in my heart. She ain't ever gonna leave it. But I know that I can be happy again, I know that she'd want that for me.

She absolutely would, Jack.

It's been a number of years now, and the pain doesn't hurt as much as it used to. It's still there, will be all my life, but I can tune it out now. And that helps some.

So, Marcus, can you start by telling us a little about your wife? Anything that you're comfortable with sharing?

Yes. Of course. Urm, she and I were friends at first, we met through the Heroics Initiative Programme when it was still a fledgling idea. She wasn't a Heroic, but she worked there. We felt an instant attraction to one another. Almost chemically. I was so shy to talk to her, my palms would sweat so much. It made using my powers difficult sometimes...

I imagine that was inconvenient.

Embarrassing too! I was such a giddy fool around her and would always drop my Katanas!

Oh wow!

Yeah. She used to tease me for it. I loved that about her. She was never intimidated by my powers. I know I'm a Heroic, but she made me feel invincible.

That's really sweet, Marcus. I can see she meant so much to you.

We were married for a couple of years before we brought our first house together, and then Missy was born. I...

Are you alright, lovely? Do you need to stop?

No, I'm alright. Talking about it really helps actually.

It really does, doesn't it?

Yeah. Cathartic. It helps keep the memories alive, all the good ones. And that's important.

I think sometimes people, when grieving, think that they'll be a nuisance or a burden wanting to talk about their loss. Like, they don't want to bring anyone else down, you know?

I understand. I think that's normal to feel that way, Jett. But I've found that both Missy and I can share that bond better when we talk about her openly. She's still very much a part of our lives. And talking it over is really a good way at working through it. It helps you process and come to terms with it.

Missy was young when she passed, right?

Yeah, so young. There are things that she doesn't remember about the illness and I'm so grateful for that, it was really hard in the last few days especially. But, there are also pieces of her mom she'll never know too. Like how her eyes would sparkle over something that excited her. Things that only I got to experience.

Is that something you share with Missy?

Yes, all the time. Our collective grief enables us to reminisce and share our personal memories and love for her together. She's got to know her mom through me. I think it's made Missy and I stronger as a family unit. I love her so much. I'm so proud of her. And I know her mom would be too.

Your daughter is lucky to have you as a father, Marcus.

Oh, Jett. Thank you.

So, what about you? How have you worked through your grief?

One day at a time. I had to keep going because I had Missy. One foot in front of the other, right?

Absolutely.

So many people depended on me; the world was literally on my shoulder's most days. I won't sugar coat it, it was really hard. I felt like I wasn't coping, like I was failing at everything. I needed her so much to ground me, and she wasn't here anymore. It was real tough for a while. But I think that got me through. And my mamá. She's been an absolute rock. For both of us.

I'm glad to hear you have love around you. What does life look like for you now?

It's good, really good. I'm allowing myself to enjoy life and not hold back. I think my wife would want that for me.

She absolutely would.

Can I tell you something?

Sure.

I have a date this weekend for the first time in years. Can you believe that?

so sorry for not talking much at all about goldi and the bears (I love them also I just didn't have too many observations people hadn't already made!) but this is one I haven't seen anyone mention so hopefully I'm pointing out something interesting?

The story that Goldi opens to in the book of fairy tales isn't just a random traditional fairytale. It's a wholly unique block of text to the movie. It's the tail end of a story in which a "proper family" is described having a snowball fight. I believe this text gives us a lot of insight into Goldi's character motivation.

The text is a bit hard to read so here is a transcript (its a bit long so the rest of this post is under a readmore, there is more analysis here too)

Year round, the old park was the most popular place for this proper family to walk on through and take in the beautiful sights on their return home. It was also quite understandably the most proper place for a young girl to make the perfect snow angel, build a quick snowman, or throw a few snowballs from behind the dense leaves of frosted maple trees. The father was no stranger to snowball fights. He relished every opportunity, in fact, to remind his family of his many past victories. Every snowball that he made was shaped with great care and purpose. However, all his best efforts would be for not. For the little girl, tired of battles lost, was determined to claim her first victory on this winter afternoon. It was the naive youth against the experienced adult. The mother laughed as the little girl struck her father square in the bum with her fastest snowball yet. A flurry of powdered attacks followed, overwhelming the veteran snowball soldier. Laying still on the very snow he once dominated, the father now knew his reign was over. It was an exciting moment. The little girl began to celebrate. Hoisted up onto her father's ice covered shoulders, the little girl looked at her mother and shared a smile. At that moment, they knew everything was just right… … and they lived happily ever after.

Knowing this little detail adds a lot of depth to our understanding, here. She wasn't just projecting onto a random fairytale family she read about in a story, wishing to be some little girl whose life she saw as perfect due to having "normal" biological parents. She was being told by this story from a young and impressionable age that families look a certain way, and as a result, she came away with the understanding that a family could be wrong too. And considering her catchphrase and arguably, some of her behavior could be attributed to her trying to emulate this story, it seems like she has always been trying to make her life fit into this mold that was never quite working out.

And that's where I think the animosity between Baby and Goldi comes in.

It's easy to see, watching the film, where Baby might have gotten his dislike of Goldi from. From the moment she first appeared she stole his bed and his food, and in reaction his parents adopted her and treated her like she did no wrong. Papa also seems keen on joining in insulting Baby often in this movie, while there's rarely a bad word said towards Goldi. That apparent favoritism is a perfect recipe for sibling rivalry. But lets be real, Goldi's attitude towards Baby is incredibly demeaning, even for a sibling rivalry. Not to say that Baby doesn't dish out his own deep-cutting insults, and it seems like the family overall has a kind of playful-ribbing type of relationship. But Goldi most consistently tells Baby that he is only useful, only cared for, when his primary skill - his sense of smell - is being used in her service. Like he's less so her brother than he is her underling.

But this book gives us a more solid reason as to why Goldi is so cruel to Baby, and that is that the "proper family".... does not have a brother. It is not only the bears being bears, but Baby's mere presence which disrupts the idealized image of a single-child family that Goldi has been desperately trying to fit her life to. So she becomes bitter towards him, pushing him down at every chance, attempts to micromanage him the most out of everyone.

That's why its so important that she specifically saves Baby instead of making her wish in the end. Its not only her abandoning the idea of a proper family, its her finally giving Baby a space in her heart which she denied him for a long time.

Griffin Stagg Headcanons

Headcanons for the youngest boy in the cast: Griffin Stagg. No reader. Will update as I think of more.

TW for bullying, kidnapping, violence, death, gore (mentioned), does teeth count?.

Griffin is max eleven years old; probably ten. He's easily the youngest of the group. In fact, I headcanon he's a few months younger than Gwen. He uses this to his advantage, though, always bragging about how he'll live longer than her because he's younger. Not quite how it worked out, unfortunately.

I headcanon he's got an older brother who went to university/college recently before his kidnapping/death. He was pretty close with his brother; he always took Griffin out to play games or get food or just hang out. His brother was his closest friend, considering he barely had any friends of his own. His brother immediately came back home after he went missing to look for him, too.

This doesn't stop typically sibling fights, though. If you read my headcanon on who's the biggest tattletale, Griffin is number one. And his brother is not exempt from that. Growing up, they would constantly threaten to tell on each other for stuff and kept their word about it, too. Still, they always felt at least a little bit guilty about it, and would apologise and try to get each other out of trouble if the punishment was truly that bad.

Since his older brother's in college, his parents are on the older side. I don't know why but I feel like his mother would have arthritis in her hands, so as a little kid he had to be careful to not yank her around too hard. His father, on the other hand, is as fit as anything. They both take on pretty stereotypical roles in the family; his mother being a bit of a housewife (she still has a job, though) and his father doing all the handiwork.

Griffin's also had a lot of pet fish growing up, partly because he's a bit scared of dogs and is allergic to cats. They've always been some variation of goldfish or fighter fish, and always have the most classic names possible. "Goldie" or "Sunshine" or "Bluey" or some name based on some famous boxer were the most common. Strangely, no matter how similar they looked, he could always tell them apart. Or so he thinks, at least.

However, life wasn't all Lesley Gore's Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows. He was bullied a lot during his early years of school for having no friends. In turn, the bullying pushed people away from wanting to be his friend because they didn't want to join in on getting bullied. It only really died down because Griffin just didn't become a fun target after a while. He was too boring and didn't have as much of a reaction as the bullies wanted. He wasn't emotionless to it--don't get me wrong--but he just wasn't as explosive as they wanted.

Still, people didn't really want to be his friend after it. Griffin wasn't exactly considered cool either, so that tarnished his reputation a bit. He pretended to like being left alone, but it did get to him. Still, he's a "two's company, three's a crowd" type person. He just wants one friend outside of his family. Is that really too much to ask?

Ankle-biter of a child. If he gets forced into a fight his first weapon of defense is his teeth. Will sink those guys into whatever he can get to first. And they're sharp, too. He will draw blood if he's not careful.

Speaking of ankles, when he was a little kid he'd cling to his mother's leg when being dropped of at kindergarten/preschool. He'd cry and cry about having to go (something that would come back to haunt him in the future). Griffin definitely had some separation anxieties as a kid. Nowadays he's just lonely. Poor guy.

This kid loves candy apples. What more can I say? They're tasty. It's his favourite treat.

He also is a big Halloween fan. He loves to watch whatever horror movies his parents will let him. He barely even gets scared during them. The only thing he doesn't like is massive gore. It makes him feel uncomfortable. Though, he also likes to dress up the skeletons in his front yard with silly outfits. And there's always the love of trick-or-treating, too.

He gets good grades naturally. He's in an easier stage of school, so he'd definitely have to study more in future grades, but for now he's cruising.

Okay, now for some I'm taking from @tnmdfhgkg. 1), He'll do anything for a dollar (a dollar was worth more back then okay). 2), he's a shit-talker about other people, but 3), he's very nice once you get to know him. 4), he gets a lot of bug-bites during summer (mainly mosquitoes), and 5), he's a messy eater. Oh, and 6), he's the silliest goober in town; takes nothing seriously when he's in a goofy mood (always). Hope it's okay to tag you!

Reactions to Cale Snow's Chapter 230

TL;DR - Cale's group were led to a conference room. Poor knight commander had to do a body search for Cale and the dragons. Cale denies he was of the Snow family. Cale and Dennis discuss their plans and made agreements. Church sends a dragon to Erghe Mountains.

Body Inspection I felt sorry for the palace's knight commander in today's chapter. Because of protocol, he had to conduct a body search for visitors, and Cale's group was fine with it. But when Raon, who everyone clearly saw was a dragon, said he had no weapons and was fine with it, poor knight commander was shaking. 😂

And then Raon called Eruhaben as "goldie dragon-gramps" afterwards, and poor knight commander trembled more upon realizing Eruhaben was a dragon too. 🤣🤣🤣

Discussion Talks Cale liked King Dennis who quickly got to the main point when it came to discussions. He also found the king to be a good person to work with when dealing with the Holy Empire and the Aipotu dragons.

As for their discussion, they talked about the following:

Cale denied he was from the Snow family or their young master.

Dennis said that the Holy Empire might contact them soon.

Cale said he came to slay the dragons and not to deal with the Holy Empire.

Cale invited Dennis to join his side, and Dennis agreed.

Dennis said that dragons judged people like gods.

Dennis's flashback gave more evidence that Thames might be the Snow family. The previous king, Dennis's father, once showed him a portrait of the last members of the Snow family. And Dennis thought that Cale resembled them because of their red hair and the atmosphere around them.

New Dragon The new chapter title was "Victory Symbol", and we found out today why it was named that. Pope Casillia knew something went wrong with the subjugation force because contact with them had been lost. So she reported it to the Dragon Lord, and the Dragon Lord gave her a command.

That was to send a dragon to the Erghe Mountains to investigate. That dragon was Kendall, known as the God of Victory, one of the 10 living gods of Aipotu. He was a long silver-haired guy who had the innocence of a child, but was brutal underneath. Oooh, Rasheel's new punching bag is here! 😂

Ending Remarks Today's chapter was good because of Raon being cute, and evidence that the Thames was the Snow family. Next chapter would be Cale's meal with the king, or more content about the people in the black castle.

Mammon believed in Soulmates.

The idea of someone being destined to be with you definitely made him giddy about who it could be, yet when he was an angel, there was never a mark. No symbol, no string. Nothing. He had no soulmate.

Mammon would just continue on with his life as an angel. Why should he care for the other angels as they met their soulmates? Why should he bother when humans get to meet the person they know they will love for the rest of their lives. Why should it matter if even the demons got to meet their soulmates in the Devildom?

Why....Why did it matter... It shouldn't....He didn't have one. Clearly he didn't deserve one.

He would never hate the idea of soulmates, but he felt jealous as he watched others find the ones they love. He was going to be alone...forever..

He would only care for soulmates when he saw the mark on his sister's write. A small flower that tattooed on her wrist. Mammon would feel happiness for his sister that she could find her love, though that small sadness stayed inside of him, he would be alone...

After the Celestial War. Mammon would continue on. He would watch as the Demons and some Witches find their lovers.

After becoming a ruler of the underworld, nothing changed. He would continue with his life. RAD would be finished and he would start to go to school.

Time would pass by...Years...Decades... before...

'Maths homework or Miss June will be mad'

Mammon would stare at his arm seeing the messy, yet readable words on his write in f/c on. He couldn't say anything. He had a soulmate...? Why didn't they talk to him before? Why...Why only now.... Why did he have to feel so alone...for so long...

'Oi! Don’t write reminders on your arm!'

Nothing... It was silent after that. Mammon attempted again.

'Hey, you there?'

'Oi! Don't ignore me!'

Nothing... Nothing came... Did his soulmate just hate him? Mammon would just slowly drain out the idea of his soulmate. He would continue to write on his arm, various notes to himself, sometimes adding something, hoping some reaction from his soulmate...nothing

Mammon would continue on. Soulmates. He didn't have one... Or at least he never considered his soulmate on his arm as his soulmate...

Then they came. The new Human exchange student.

MC Hello? Are you Mammon?

Mammon hated it. The idea of taking care of a human exchange student for the next year? They didn't even speak, not a single word. They always wore things covering up.

Then Lucifer came forcing him to learn how to speak with his hands on top of his school assignments already. Why should they bother, the human is going to get eaten anyways...

Then the Goldie incident. Mammon couldn't believe that Levi and the Human would use his own card against him. Mammon would dread as the human dragged him along...

They started to become less annoying... Mammon couldn't like, he would start seeing them as a friend. As they were always listening to him rant. They always let him hang around in their room.

Mc... They were...special... Hell, Mammon started to learn sign language to talk with them. He wants to surprise them. He had been looking at things in stores thinking if they would like the gift or not. He would imagine them whenever he could. He started to develop feelings...

As much as he would try and deny it, it was the truth.

Which was why when he saw the green cat notebook, hidden under the bed, broke something inside him.

Mammon would move a bit to pick it up, as he opened it to see the name 'MC' written on the cover side while the pages contained various notes in green. He could recognise Satan's handwriting.

Mc had a soulmate....It was Satan...

Mammon would sit quietly for the night as he read through the green letters. There was maybe one or two lines in a different pen colour that MC wrote.

Mammon couldn't sleep that night...

"You challenged him in a Competition in TSL?" Asmodeus spoke as everyone besides Levi were at the table.

Mc nods their head as their hands move to respond to Asmodeus. Mammon wouldn't say anything or look up from his plate. His fork pushed the food around on his plate.

"Are you going to eat it?" Beel questioned before Mammon would just push the plate towards his brother.

Mammon felt someone pull on his sleeve causing him to look over at MC who mouthed to him. 'Are you okay Mammon?'

"Yeah..." Mammon just pulled himself out of the seat and started to head out.

The last thing he heard was from Satan.

"Just let Mammon go."
