I introduced a friend to buddy daddies who is just a casual watcher, doesn't ship, doesn't invest or over-analyze.

His take on the ending: queer platonic partners. Not in those words, because he wasn't familiar with the term (and loved it, after I explained). But what amazed me is that unlike us who over analyze everything, this guy didn't even notice Rei's awkwardness in the family photo, did not even remember the line about the drinking with women until I brought it up. Because to a casual watcher, that is hardly relevant.

He had some gripes about other things, plot wise, but as far as Kazurei is concerned, it was a happy ending, but forgettable.

Forgettable.

And that is the wonderful thing about it. Because their ending IS forgettable. It is NORMAL. They are just a normal family now. All they wanted in life! To be a normal fucking family where they are not fearing for their lives and can go to the beach and take family photos to hang on the fridge.

A forgettable ending, fuck. I love this for them.

good morning i landed back home and i am still in denial like i cannot believe i saw shinee 😭 the trip itself tested my anxiety so many times but seeing them canceled all of my worries in no time

Idk why is everyone so rude calling Adrien and Marinette stupid. Those were the most accurate reactions to falling in love with someone you never saw that way and never thought would ever have romantic feelings for based on Adrien and Marinette's personalities plus their current mental state and how long it took them because they were too occupied with their first crushes and now everything just fell into it's place and they need to process it. Idk why is everyone so rude to my children. They make more sense than any cheesy rom-com I've watched.

hey everyone sorry for the silence, i was trying very hard to catch up with school work that i didnt manage to hand in on time. anyway i made a full body 3d model of my oc lucifer for a digital sculpting assignment :)

not Midnight Mass Erin and Riley talking about their different visions of death and the afterlife, seemingly not realizing that they were using very different words to describe exactly the same thing, and making me openly cry at my desk while doing so

#death is where you are not alone and the bad thing never happened #i committed to only watching two episodes today but i kinda wanna just binge it all #this show. the writing is SO GOOD #having Riley explain what he believes death will be like - the firing and neurons and the microbiome continuing to feast on your meat -#in such BEAUTIFUL and poetic language! with such reverence! and hope!#one of the few (only?) times I've seen someone describe the oblivion of a 'godless' death with such beauty and hope #(without being suicidal - the fact that they could easily have written riley as suicidal but that option was literally never on the table)#vs the childlike simplicity of Erin's description of an unborn baby returning to heaven to be loved #the thing she didnt say but was clearly between the lines - that the baby came to save her and thats all it did. then it returned home #and the fact that both of their visions were so... simplistic. idealized #riley's death wouldn't restore the world to the state it was before he lived. his atoms don't go to join the stars #and he knows that but it's poetry. it's the idealization. that's the same as what imagining erin's unborn baby beloved by all is #death is all your wildest dreams coming true but somewhere far away where you cant touch it now #midnight mass
