"Why use the foreign-sounding "intelligentsia" when the English language has the word "intellectuals"? The answer is that one needs different terms to designate different phenomena - in this case, to distinguish those who passively contemplate life from activists who are determined to reshape it.

Marx succinctly stated the latter position when he wrote: "The philosophers have only interpreted the world in various ways; the point, however, is to change it."

Part 1 of my very first web weaving which is also a present for @zeteri-art (i hope you dont mind that i used one of your art pieces for it, there just arent many pieces of art of kantje that were not made by you (i respect the grind o7)) for @mcyt-valentines

I have had no idea who kantje was before I got you as my secret valentine and since i wanted to make something special, and this is a rather niche character from a smaller smp, I wanted to make something for this! I went around the internet, trying to find lore summaries and other stuff to no avail, until I stumbled upon @endrinstone who was literally my beacon in the dark and gave me such a vast explanation of the lore, moments that were important and also some screenshots that I could use for the web weaving! Like so many kudoes to you bestie, I wouldve literally probably given up on it and did something else instead if it werent for ya.

But! I really hope that, as an outsider from this smp who hasnt even known of the characters existence until like, five days ago, I captured their lore at least a little bit! I really hope you enjoy and I will post this and the second part immediately afterwards, which I will also @ you in!

Di nuovo parliamo del mio amore. Della famigerata attività. Per me nell’amore si esaurisce forse tutto? Tutto, solo in un altro modo. Se il cuore interrompe il suo lavoro, anche tutto il resto si atrofizza, diventa superfluo, inutile. Ma se funziona, non può non manifestarsi in ogni cosa. Casal extravagante e trágico da Revolução Russa, Maiakóvski e sua musa, Lili Brik, nunca foram realmente um casal, na verdade Lili era casada e adepta do chamado “amor livre” e viveu como um trisal até o suposto suicídio do poeta.

Na década de 1970, ela escreveu em seu diário: "Tive um sonho - estava com raiva de Volódia (Maiakóvski) por ter atirado em si mesmo, e ele gentilmente colocava uma pequena pistola na minha mão e dizia: 'Você fará o mesmo.'"

Em 1978, aos 86 anos de idade, ela caiu de uma cadeira e quebrou o quadril. Não querendo se tornar um fardo para ninguém, tomou uma dose letal de pílulas para dormir.
