Pairing: Yoosung/Reader Rating: T Tags: spoilers for Yoosung’s route, short, sweet, cute, romantic, lil kiss, lil anxiety, reader is an introvert, Prompt: “Why, look at that! Our hands fit just perfectly, don’t you think?”

You felt like you were going to absolutely throw up. Your nerves had you in a tizzy, considering what the past two weeks of your life had been. A random apartment. A new set of friends. A blossoming love of (potentially) a lifetime and now, here it was. The official RFA party. You invited every one of the guests that showed up along with any counterparts they brought with them and while you were thrilled, that anxiety ate away at your stomach. You walked up in your formal dress, a red and backless number you had saved for a special occasion at the back of your closet that seemed like it could work. It was as tight as your throat felt at the moment walking up to the door and seeing everyone there. It felt like a blur, from seeing Jaehee to hearing Yoosung’s speech to your first kiss and…

A half hour later you excused yourself to the small balcony attached to the room the party was held in. You took a deep breath and closed your eyes, hands gripping the railing slightly. There were so many people and while you hadn’t wanted to part from anyone, the necessity was there. You took another calming breath and heard the door open behind you.

“Ah. There you are,” Yoosung said softly as he approached your side, looking at you softly with his one good eye. He watched you for a moment before putting a hand over yours. “I know it’s a lot of people. You did a great job inviting all of them,” he said softly, his smile growing as you turned your hand over to grip his, interlacing your fingers. “You did brilliantly.” You let out the breath you didn’t know you had been holding and relaxed into Yoosung’s embrace, holding his hand tightly as you nuzzled into the crook of his neck.

“You helped, you know. More than you know,” you said softly, lifting your joined hands to press a kiss to his thumb. He began to flush and giggle a little at the gesture.

“Why, look at that! Our hands fit perfectly, don’t you think?” He asked quietly, admiring how well your hands really did fit together. He sighed softly and repeated the action you took, kissing the back of your hand instead. “I wouldn’t have it any other way. You… you mean the world to me,” he went on gently as he pressed his lips to your temple. “I couldn’t have asked for a better angel to find me.”

When her father is next to vanish, Aster resolves to find and rescue the missing bunnybirds—even if it means journeying over the rim of the world itself!

My middle grade graphic novel is officially available for preorder! Bunnybirds is a story about trauma, friendship, and my experience with autistic masking. It was drawn entirely with Prismacolor colored pencils and Pandafly markers, with Photoshop applied for color enhancement and text.
