Hi I forgot about tumblr but I used to be on here all the time.
Just in case you’re still here and you remember me, I want to tell you that my dreams came true.
I’m a full time embroidery artist. I have my own business, an embroidery kit subscription box. It’s my job now.
I’m engaged to the best man I’ve ever met. We’ve been together for 4 years and I still get so excited when he comes home from work. I feel so safe and so happy and so loved.
I’ve had my art in exhibitions. I’ve made art that someone thought was good enough to put on a gallery wall.
I was on an amazing TV show called The Victorian House of Arts and Crafts, where I lived as a Victorian for a month. I embroidered a bedspread in a week, and it changed my life.
So yeah. I’m living my dream life. I never thought it would happen. I’m nearly 31 and life gets better.

Update
I'm on holidays, enjoying my free days. Life is getting better atm. I'm out of my toxic job and beginning a new one after summerbreak, my therapist didn't give up on me, my socialworker told me that she's proud of me and my efforts and I'm making efforts in sports.

Advise on Post breakup
now i know...
A good relationship is about working in collaboration, communicating our needs to each other, showing them what we need and don’t over expect.
Breakup is not that scary, scary thing is treating that relationship as everything. The more you are dependent on the other person reflects how much you need that person, you could be too weak or relying too much on the other person so this relationship is your everything, which could make the other person also very tired so want to leave.
Recognise that you could have chosen the wrong arena, overestimated your capabiliities, hence the breakup is a result, it is a time stop and think to learn from the experience what skills you lack. Review areas that you need to work on and walk out of this misery.
Recognise that could be that the other person just doesn’t sees you as lifelong partner or is not ready to settle down so you will never be the right person anyway. Do not deny your own value and worthiness.
Break up is a process for self growth, not the end of your happiness. Do not blindly accept the person if they return, must evaluate if you really love that person or you are just too weak and need them. If you love them you would not insist on patching back. Because loved therefore there’s heartache, so we should respect their decision and let them go.
An artiste once said: 如果你看不到我的优秀那即便我是一团火，你也是只能看到这团火里冒的青烟。
“If you are not able to see my worth, even if I am a ball of flames, you will only see the smoke from this ball of flames”
Therefore in the eyes of someone who doesn’t value you, all your compromising and accommodating 妥协和迎合 would only magnify your worthlessness. When you don’t feel you are worthy, it is not that they gave up on you, but you had given up on yourself, hence they disregarded you as well.

🌻One Year🌻
It's unbelievable when you look back at the last year and realize how much has happened. This year, for me, was a true year of growth and self reflection. When I think about all the setbacks that I've come across, I can only be thankful for the experiences as they taught me how to adapt and mould me into the person I am today. Not everything was happy and easy. I've gone through probably some of the most life changing experiences this year. I felt like I was being put to the test to see how much I could handle and find out what kind of person I would be afterwards. I would constantly think, "How does this change me? How can I turn a negative situation into a positive life lesson?"
I will admit it wasn't at all close to being easy. I have my wonderful support system who is always there for me to guide me through the tough times. They hold my hand when I can no longer hold it up high. For that, I am so thankful.
One thing that I am very proud of is that I've made the realization that I would like to go back to school and get my degree (I just have a diploma now). If you know me, I was never the best student. It was hard to me to be motivated to come to school and even just study. But now, I'm thirsty for knowledge. I've realized that there is so much that I still don't know in my field and I actually want to go explore and learn. Lately, I've felt like I've just been at a pause when it comes to knowledge. I don't want to limit myself to only knowing what I know now. I'm so young still and I have the power to go back to school and learn about anything that interests me. That is what I'm so excited about.
You never know what is going to happen in a year. It feels like it should be a long time, but it goes by in just a blink. This time last year, I was moving out of my childhood home and into a really sh*tty apartment. Because of stupid circumstances, we ended up renting a house instead. Fast forward to now, I'm only a week away to moving into my dream apartment with my best friend.
Everything happens for a reason. I'd like to think that everything that I've gone through this year, I was meant to go through to become the person I am now. I feel more mature, stable, and aware of myself. I also feel strong, beautiful, and (some-what) healthy. It is such an amazing feeling to be at peace with not only yourself, but your life. Even if you're not at your finish line, it's always nice to sit back and just be thankful for the life you have and what it's given you.
