ABOUT:
Veronica Wasboyski was the personality that Shawn Hunter assumed when he dressed as a girl for Cory's newspaper column. Unlike Cory, he made a fairly attractive girl, and was asked out on a date by Gary. Unusually, Cory was also attracted to him and offered to carry his books, something he never did for Topanga. When confronted about this, Cory replied, "Well, look at him!"
Libby Harper was friends with Missy Robinson, first flirting with Cory, but then she distracted Shawn (via seduction) so Missy could allure Cory in The Last Temptation of Cory. She later appears in First Girlfriends Club to reprove Shawn with Dana Pruitt and Jennifer Bassett for leaving her.

HEYO I AM PRINCESS X FANDOM (aka me and like 3 other people)
So I was rereading I am Princess X a couple weeks ago when I realized I didn’t know when the book takes place. It’s never actually mentioned in the book at all. So I started combing through pieces of pop culture mentioned to try and figure it out. Patrick uses some tech which would date the book, but not much. The iPad and Patrick’s use of Reddit means the book had to take place after 2010, but they’d still a decent chunk of time. After a while, I found something useful: a throwaway line at the end of Chapter 2 where May mentions ending the day by watching the Venture Bros. on Netflix with her dad. With a bit of digging, I discovered that the Venture Bros was added on Netflix after 2010 on September 15th 2014 and removed from Netflix on May 6th 2015. Now we know the book takes place in June because May finds the first Princess X sticker on June 1st. This means the book takes place in 2015, probably in an alternate universe where the Venture Bros wasn’t removed in May

Libby’s canned pumpkin, for example, the largest canned pumpkin producer in the country, calls their product pumpkin instead of squash because the pumpkin means more to the average American consumer. But if you saw the thing, it looks just like squash -- because it is squash [...]. So this is not just a story of myth making, but also one showing the repercussions of these myths for rural economies. [...]
In the early nineteenth century when people were moving off farms and into cities, the smaller and sweeter varieties that we now call squash were available [...]. Zucchini and winter squash, for example, had some commodity status, and were a part of their daily lives. But the pumpkin -- that orange round squash -- was the crop that was left behind on the farm and it didn’t go into the market place. Small-scale farmers kept it in production because it was a substitute for livestock fodder [...]. It started to represent an old-fashioned way [...]. So in the early nineteenth century when industrial agriculture took off, there was no room for the pumpkin in the marketplace. But this was exactly the time it started to appear in Winslow Homer’s paintings and Harper’s Magazine and romantic poems. [...]

Morton, Illinois is the location of a Libby’s processing plant. Libby’s controls about ninety percent of the market for culinary pumpkins, and they’ve been around almost a hundred years. In 1970 they tried to have one big corporate-sized pumpkin farm in California, and the plan was to ship the crop back to Morton for processing. So they tried that model but it didn’t work because the market for the pumpkin is lucrative but limited; it could be eaten throughout the year, but it’s not. Ninety percent of the market is from September through January. [...] Libby’s returned to Morton to distribute their seeds [...]. They send this seed to between fifty and seventy small family farms within a seventy-five mile radius of their plant [...]. These farms then plant these seeds on behalf of Libby’s. [...]

But in the story of how it became an icon, it was really consumers creating the market and the farmers following to meet demand. [...] Farmers would be driving down the highway in a truck full of pumpkins for their hogs and they’d be stopped by tourists on their Sunday drives through the country asking if they could buy pumpkins. Farmers never had the idea that this was going to be a commodity. So then the seed companies started changing the seed to fit the idea that this was going to be an object of display and ornament instead of something to eat.
Today, sixty-five to seventy percent of pumpkin production is for ornamental pumpkins, and they are produced around the country. Most places across the country are conducive for small family farms to produce these -- you can throw in a few seeds and get a pretty good yield. It’s a lucrative but limited market, so there’s almost nobody that ships nationwide but almost everyone ships locally. If you’re a trucker in Nebraska, you basically stick in Nebraska for pumpkins because it just doesn’t pay, especially for the ornamentals. If they get nicked or the stem falls off they’re worthless, so that makes it a local crop too. [...]

Hey!! I’ve been working on making wlw ocs for a while and I’m ready to introduce them to you! Meet Libby and Maisey!!
Feel free to ask any questions or send asks about them. The first fic I wrote is after they get together, but I have ideas to explore them as they get together.
Info: Maisey and Libby met as sophomores in college. They go to the same college and met working at the same coffee shop. They worked the Tuesday/Thursday opening shifts together every week. After the first few shifts Libby started showing off her talent for making drinks, which Maisey in desperate need of caffeine fell hard for. They went out for a bit before making it official.
Libby (She/they): Environmental science student who is also minoring in painting. One day she wants to work in environmental activism, but for now she's learning. She works at the coffee shop called, The Coffee Bean, which is how the two met and fell in love. They will typically be wearing some sort of second-hand clothing (that's usually covered in paint or mud) with their hair braided. She’s very relaxed, easy-going, but also is very social. They live with two roommates who are their best friends (Clara and Harper). Libby likes to take things a little slower. She appreciates having time to relax and take care of herself. She loves a good bath or a day resting, and hopefully she'll be able to get Maisey to join her. Her love language is acts of service so she loves taking care of her Maisey in any way whether it's making her favorite meal or doing tasks so she can relax when she gets home. Libby loves gardening, hiking, or doing anything outside, although she has the worst allergies. Maisey always jokes that she loves the earth but the earth doesn’t love her back. In addition she is an avid user of handkerchiefs because she is very environmentally friendly, however, she knows Maisey exclusively uses tissues so she has no problem buying them for her. Although she's more easy-going she puts her foot down when it comes to Maisey taking breaks.
Maisey (She/her): Pre-med student who overworks herself constantly. She doesn't really know what field she wants to go into, but she loves science and helping people. She works at the coffee shop and volunteers at her local hospital. Despite being insanely busy, she always looks put together. Her friends always joke that they have no idea how she always looks so put together. She is typically seen wearing colorful fashionable clothing with her hair expertly styled. She has also perfected her skincare and everyday makeup routine. Maisey is very social and outgoing with classmates, friends, and patients. She's a bit of an oversharer, but that is how she humanizes herself to her peers and the people that love her. Maisey wants to be a perfectionist, but often falls short, however, she is very loved and the people around her always support her no matter what. Maisey lives with one roommate who she used to be close with but isn’t really anymore. She also has a small orange cat named Peaches (although her and Libby love calling her Princess Peach). As a pre-med student she is a natural caretaker, so the second Libby feels unwell she absolutely dotes on her. Maisey’s love language is physical touch, so whenever Libby is unwell she is all over her despite the risk of contagion. Additionally, she is a walking pharmacy and has anything her friends or Libby could possibly need, although she rarely uses it for herself. Maisey tends to catch any bug that she comes in contact with, which is a lot working at the hospital. A lot of the time she is able to work through her illnesses, but Libby is always there to remind her to take care of herself too. She is slightly allergic to cats, but loves them so much that she suffers through it.
I'm really excited!!! They're so precious and I hope you like them!!! I’m hoping to have their first fic up in the next few days. Once I get more comfortable with writing for them I’ll probably open up requests but in the meantime feel free to send asks about them. I’ll tag all my fics under my fics and my ocs and their names. I’m super excited thank you<3

A reader of Damage brought up an interesting point--just how much extended family Grant has.
So who exactly is in Grant's extended genetic family?
His biological parents are Al Pratt and Mary James Pratt, but as a result of the experimentation done on him by Vandal Savage, he has been injected with the DNA of the JSA and the founding members of the JLA minus Triumph. So he is also genetically related to the following:

Joan Dale-Trevor (Miss America)

Carter Hall (Hawkman)

As far as I'm aware, he has met only seven of them (Alan Scott, J'onn J'onzz, Jay Garrick, Ted Grant, Ted Knight, Carter Hall, and Ray Palmer very briefly before Grant's death).
As for his extended family, they include the following:
Barry Allen's children Don and Dawn Allen (deceased) were his siblings. Don's son Bart Allen, a teammate and friend of Grant's during his first time with the Titans, is his nephew.
Johnny Chambers and Libby Lawrence's daughter Jesse Chambers, a teammate of Grant's during his second time with the Titans and on the JSA, is his sister.
Arthur Curry's sons Koryak, Arthur Curry Jr. (deceased), and A. J. are his brothers. Garth, a teammate from Grant's second time with the Titans, is his brother by adoption.
Joan Dale-Trevor's daughter Lyta Trevor-Hall is his sister by adoption. Lyta is married to Hector Hall, son of Carter and Shiera Hall, who is Grant's brother. Lyta and Hector's son Daniel Hall is his nephew.
Jay Garrick's recently rediscovered daughter Judy Garrick is his sister (Grant is in this recent continuity, so I'm counting it).
Ted Grant's sons Jake Grant (deceased) and Tom Bronson, a teammate and friend of Grant's on the JSA, are his brothers.
J'onn J'onzz's daughter K'hym J'onzz (deceased) was his sister.
Ted Knight's sons David (deceased) and Jack Knight are his brothers. Jack's son Kyle Knight is his nephew. This connection also makes Grant a cousin of Sandra Knight (Phantom Lady), a teammate of his from the Freedom Fighters.
Dinah Drake Lance's daughter Dinah Laurel Lance is his sister but also one of his genetic parents.
Dinah Laurel Lance's daughter Cynthia Lance is his sister by adoption. Dinah's husband's children Roy Harper and Mia Dearden are his siblings by adoption also, which would make Lian Harper his niece by adoption. However, these relationships wouldn't exist until Dinah's marriage around the time that Grant was in the JSA.
Alan Scott's children Jennie-Lynn Hayden and Todd Rice are his siblings.
Rex Tyler's son Rick Tyler, a teammate of Grant's on the JSA and the husband of Jesse Chambers, is his brother.
So that's eleven genetically-related brothers (seven living, four deceased), six genetically-related sisters (four living, two deceased), and three genetically-related nephews (probably more...I tried to stick to characters who would have existed during Grant's appearances), plus his genetic parents' five adoptive children (two brothers, three sisters) and a niece by adoption.
After Grant's solo ended, the comics tended to forget that he is genetically related to a lot of people, even though some of these people would be teammates and friends (Jesse and Rick, for instance, treat him like a brother when they're on the JSA together, but the genetic connection never is made). So unfortunately a family reunion like the one that the above reader imagined never happens, but it would have been fantastic.
In fact, during an incident in which Grant and a lot of other heroes were kept in virtual reality designed to be personally appealing, what he experiences is a picnic with his father and several of his genetic parents, where he is being welcomed and accepted. This is clearly something he desires--being part of a family.

The families throughout the year - Winchester edition
As you can see, a lot happened during year 2. Kelly and Bill had a fourth child: Harper. The three oldest siblings all became adults and moved out. Cole married Nancy and they have a son: Cole. Hailey married her highschool girlfriend Leila (by @deedee-sims) and they welcomed their first daughter Libby. Ava got back together with her teenager boyfriend Robert and they're expecting their first child.

✨️ Mid Year Reading Wrap-Up ✨️
I cannot believe it, I'm a reader 🤩 this year I truly discovered (maybe for the first time) how much I enjoy reading. The past several years I was so engrossed in nonfiction, psychology, parenting books, children's lit, academic reading, and classics that I ignored all other genres. However, finally, I started enjoying good, old fashioned stories again. Much to my surprise, I've been loving the fantasy genre! (Rom-com makes me cringe but it's easy/entertaining to read too!)

I forgot I even read at ALL until making this list and opening a Goodreads account. I even had to check my list of library rentals to remember it all! Quick note: I'm obsessed with the Army library on base as well as the one by our house & the state digital library I access with the Libby app.

The Lemon Legacy: Generation 1, Chapter 17 - Tiffing with Tiff
The next day, the band, and Tiff, go to Miko and Penny's new apartment to talk about their song choices. Penny doesn't love the white features but Miko likes how clean it looks, and love is about compromise. Penny can at least have her eclectic furniture to brighten the place up.
Miko: Thanks for agreeing to meet us here. I know San Myshuno is far from Tartosa.
Drew: No worries, it's all the same loading screen.
Miko: Uh, Tiff? Where's the other violinists? They were invited too.
Tiff: As lead, I can relay any info back to my cohorts.
Miko: Okay then. Did you all have a chance to look over the sheet music we sent you?
Ophelia: Yes! Let's pull them up.
Tiff: You young people and your technology.
Drew: It's the same technology every Sim has had since 2014, Tiff!
Penny: You guys are the experts. What do you think?
Moses: They're all great songs! Unique but not too wild. You have no idea how many times we get the same old songs to play.
Penny: You know I've gotta keep it fresh!
Miko: I vetoed some of the more... outrageous suggestions.
Penny: Looks like out ceremony music requires violin and piano. You okay doubling up, Piano Man?
Moses: I get double the pay so you know it!
Penny: Tiff, you good to learn the sheet music? I know this probably isn't the type of song you usually play.
Tiff: Already memorized.
Ophelia: I love your first dance song. I've been singing it for days. It's starting to get on my girlfriend's nerves!
Miko: Oh, you and Libby made it official! Congratulations. You've posted a bunch of pics with her on Simsta lately, so Penny and I had a hunch.
Tiff: I see. You two are... very friendly with Miss Ophelia outside of work, huh?
Penny: Well, we kind of cornered her in a coffee shop. Hard to keep things strictly business after that. Plus, who else would I constantly text asking to go to the Spice Festival with me?
Tiff: I see. Well, I have connections of my own. Heard of Ty Harper? Head writer for PlumBright Magazine? I could get him to write an entire feature on your wedding!
Penny: The scumbag from that trashy gossip rag? No thanks. You're friends with him?
Tiff: ...I'm married to him
Miko: Uh, moving on. Were there any issues you all saw with the songs for the reception?
Drew: No, everything looks good. People might have song requests but we know a ton of songs.
Ophelia: My mind is a steel trap for song lyrics, I should be good to cover most requests.
Tiff: If young Ophelia doesn't have the range for a certain song you want I'd be more than happy to fill in!
Miko: Uh, thanks, but we made sure we selected songs in her range. I'm sure requests will be fine. You're amazing at violin, we'd like you to do that.
Tiff: I can do both!
Penny: Lady, we don't want you to do both, she's trying to be nice. You're lucky you're playing at all, after the way you treated Miko during our tour! Lucky for you, my fiancée is a lot more forgiving than me!
Tiff: In my defense, teens and young adults look exactly alike!
Miko: Honey, it's okay! Tiff, we're happy with the plan we currently have. We'd appreciate if you focused on getting your team prepped. You're an amazing violinist.
Tiff: Well your taste in singers is... different than mine but you sure know your stuff about string instruments.
The elevator ride downstairs is awkward. Tiff doesn't seem to notice or mind.
Tiff: The clients' questionable choices aside, I'd say that was a successful meeting. Gotta say, that Pizzazz girl has a screw loose. Guess that's why she's such good friends with you, eh, Ophelia?
Ophelia: Do you constantly have to undermine and insult me every chance you get? I've been trying real hard to be civil.
Tiff: I'm sorry, it's just really easy to undermine you, sweetheart. You still have your baby fat.
Ophelia: It was just the holidays. This is regular fat!
Ophelia: I'm singing at this one wedding! It sounds like you're going to sing at the rest of them after this! What's the big deal?
Tiff: You KNOW the big deal. This is a celebrity wedding. One of the guests could make me a star and you just stumbled ass-first into this gig!
Drew: Tiff, you're being more ridiculous than usual. The clients made their decision. You're not going to change their minds.
Tiff: Why's everyone on her side? This was supposed to be my big break. You don't know what it's like to have something so huge taken from you!
Ophelia: You don't know anything about me! If your husband is such a big shot, just get connections through him.
Tiff: He's too good of a man to abuse his power like that.
Moses: Didn't he send paparazzi to Judith Ward's second husband's funeral? Tiff: No one asked, Moses.
Tiff: Fine, if you're determined to embarrass yourself on that stage, be my guest. Don't worry, I'll stay away from you until the wedding. Worrying about you destroying the Laurents' reputation is going to give me stress wrinkles anyway.
Ophelia: UGH! What is her damage! Does she have some sort of tragic backstory or something?
Drew: Nah, I think she just likes being a bitch.
Moses: Look, let's not worry about her now, love. We've got your back. Let's go to the venue and practice, yeah?
Ophelia: Okay. Thanks.
