He decided it was funny to try hanging down upside down with you

But when he decided to try some tricks, things went wrong and you ended up falling and spraining your ankle

He immediately felt bad and helped you to Vexen who wrapped it up.

From then on, he made sure things were safe enough for the two of you to try

Xaldin:

The two of you were sparring when it happened

You tripped over yourself and ended up spraining your ankle.

Xaldin rushed over and made sure you were okay before making your way to Vexen

He made sure that you were comfortable after having it wrapped up and kept checking on you

He even made your favorite food

He might not seem like it in the games, but he’s an actual sweetheart. Change my mind. I dare you

Lexaeus:

(I’m mad that Nomura didn’t give this man more attention!)

This big teddy bear is immediately worried when it happens

He doesn’t even let you try standing up! He just carries you like you weigh nothing. Which is true compared him. I mean, have you seen his weapon?!

He tries wrapping it himself which works somewhat but Vexen does it more properly

This man will get you anything you want. While Xaldin can be a sweetheart, this man is the BIGGEST sweetheart ever. He gives himbo vibes and I love it!

Zexion:

Sweet baby boy will panic when it happens

He’ll scold you a little bit for not being careful but he will immediately take care of the situation

Vexen taught him a thing or two about first aid and is able to treat your leg properly

He checks on you every day to make sure your leg is doing alright

He’s a cutie patootie and I love him!

KH Characters with FF jobs

I'm mostly basing these from FF3, FF4, and FF14 jobs since those are the ones I know the best but I did research other games' jobs for some. This is mostly going off of characters' personality and fighting styles rather than weapons or stats.

Sora: Onion Knight Riku: Dark Knight/Paladin Kairi: White Mage

Sora could be any jack-of-all-trades job but I picked Onion Knight out of a FF3 bias and also he would look cute in that hat. Riku is basically Cecil Harvey from FF4 so he gets two jobs. Kairi being a princess of heart makes her a White Mage and what is her shotlock if not a flashier version of holy?

Roxas: Samurai Xion: Blue Mage Axel: Assassin

Roxas and Axel get their jobs from their lesser Nobodies, and Axel will stay as an Assassin until Square releases a game with "arsonist" as a job. His FF14 disciple of the hand job would be "ice cream maker." Xion's copy abilities make her an Blue Mage and I wish KH would take more advantage of that ability because then she'd be op.

Aqua: Dancer Terra: Knight Ventus: Red Mage

In an effort to not make Terra the same as Riku he gets to be a Knight but I could also see him as a Dark Knight or Warrior. Aqua's spellweaver ability is basically magic dancing so Dancer. I was struggling for Ven and ended up with Red Mage because 1) its my favorite and I'm not above being biased, 2) all Keyblade wielders could arguably be Red Mages because of the use of both white and black magic along with fighting with a sword, and 3) he also deserves a cool hat.

Vanitas: Ninja Naminé: Summoner Repliku: Dark Knight

Naminé technically never participates in combat but summoning other entities to fight for her is pretty much what she already does just without the memory manipulation. Repliku sacrifices originality for "well his weapon is called Soul Eater anyway". Vanitas was the hardest of these three because he's yet another possible Dark Knight. I gave him Ninja for his warp downslash ability. Alternatively, he could be a Black Mage and Ven a White Mage, but I wanted to go beyond making every darkness character a Black Mage or similar.

Ansem: Black Mage

My joke job for Ansem is the pugilist/monk because he's the only character to fight barehanded (not counting his KH1 final boss where he had a double-bladed version of Soul Eater). He could also arguably be a Summoner and call other Heartless to fight.

Xemnas: Sorcerer Xigbar: Gunbreaker (Sniper) Xaldin: Dragoon Lexaeus: Warrior Vexen: Puppetmaster Zexion: Illusionist Saïx: Berserker Demyx: Bard (Dancer) Luxord: Gambler Marluxia: Reaper Larxene: Ninja

Most Organization members' jobs are just their lesser Nobody types, though for Demyx it would make more sense for him to be a Bard. (But that water does dance after all.) I chose Gunbreaker as an alt job for Xigbar because what's better than two guns? Two sword guns! (Imagine a KH4 bossfight with No Name formchanged as two gunblades.)

Lexaeus, Vexen, and Zexion are the only Org members who don't have lesser Nobodies so I chose them myself. Lexaeus is a Warrior (fights with a giant axe), Zexion an Illusionist (self-explanatory), and Vexen a Puppetmaster (replicas).

Let me know if you have other ideas for alternate jobs. Also I might do a part two with the KHUXDR characters is anyone is interested.

Kingdom Hearts Character's (Homestuck) Classpect Pt.1: I'm Not a Liar.

Howsitgoinguys I'm back with that thing I promised. I never forgot about it, it was just that some characters were so hard to classpect that for the sake of my sanity I had to step back from the project. But I'm back on my manic bullshit so not only did I get it done, but I have classpected every single character originally from Kingdom Hearts. Before I announce the first batch, I just want to be clear about my Classpecting system.

💋 I treat Classpecting as self contained like a horoscope or MBTI type thingy. But not as a personality thing; more like incorporating the story as a whole into the healthiest state of being for the character.

💋Because of above, I don't believe any Classpect is doomed to fail; it depends on the actions and events of the story and clashing with other classpects that lead down that path. Death can very well be part of the journey for a character but it shouldn't be the end; Foretellers yes, Dark Road no.

💋 My point of reference is literally what I remember from Homestuck itself, some notes from the Classpecting for Assholes by Neurotypeline video and the wiki HOWEVER I have also seen Optimistic Dualist's and Ouroborista's videos on the subject so if their influence it's felt... I just can't help it man, I don't have original thoughts.

💋 I believe in aspect duality; Breath-Blood, Time-Space, Hope-Rage, Doom-Life, Void-Light, Heart-Mind

💋 Breath/Blood is forward progression, Time/Space is foundation, Hope/Rage is symbolism and themes, Doom/Life is narrative, Void/Life is lore, Heart-Mind is character development. HOWEVER these categories aren't isolated. Characters can dip into adjacent concepts to help progress the main; the closest two inconsequentially and the ones further out with the possibility of an issue occuring.

💋 Characters are also linked to their mirror; sometimes in symbolism or their inclination to lean into it. Depending on the class and the context it can either be a nifty tool or super detrimental. In general even the most flexible classpect will go down a bad path if they lean more heavily into their mirror than their true Classpect.

💋 This is not a statement on powers or personality. Being the same Classpect as a cannon character doesn't mean shit I'm just dumb like that. The way I see it, your aspect is a collection of keywords, your class is the origin of your power/journey to getting it, and what the results of that are purely up to your imagination.

💋 Similar classpects will probably feel some type of way about them. Certain classes function the same way in a typically replicable way so they might relate on their journey. Certain aspects usually have keywords that correlate to ideological beliefs. They might also hate each other and be polar opposites because they interpret those keywords differently or they don't embrace/understand the journey of their class.

With that out of the way, there are a collection of types where there isn't enough content for me to do anything but vibe type them or...I dunno. I just don't have a lot to say about them. If your fave is on here, I'm sorry bestie. If you press me for your fave individually I will be happy to explain the reasoning but off the top of my head, I have nothing to say about these motherfuckers.

2. Is there a ship you didn't like at first but ultimately started shipping?

This happens occasionally. Usually, it involves a character or a dynamic I don't really like or understand very well until gradual exposure shifts my perspective, + fic writers bringing their A-game. I can feel this starting to happen with Bingliushen from SVSSS (Luo Binghe/Shen Qingqiu/Liu Qingge. My disliked ship was Binghe/Qingge) (irl friends don't @ me about it, shut up;;;)

I have also concluded that I like Joyce Byers/Jim Hopper as long as Bob Newby is involved; I was otherwise cool towards it. This one's thanks to @marypsue, captain of the fine Joyce/Hopper/Newby pool noodle.

5. What is your most fluffy + happy ship?

For RotG, Feather Pillow (Sandy/Tooth). My other ships for them can get so serious or angsty, but together, they're just a high-energy (in spirit, for Sandy), low-drama, cute pair of snuggle monsters. Zero discomfort between them. They know they're the two hardest-working Guardians, and they deserve to disappear into a cloud of dreamsand for several days straight sometimes.

28. Is there a character you have several ships for?

It is way harder to think of characters I like that I don't have several ships for. I'm 100% multishipper, and most of my ships in any fandom will blob into polyships if I let them. It's too easy to imagine multiple scenarios for everything.

If you want some historical trivia I think baby's 1st polyship was the Basement Trio (Zexion/Vexen/Lexaeus) from Kingdom Hearts?? Good lord. I remember shipping Zexvex really hard, then clocking Lexvex, and eventually my lil 17-year-old brain snapping like, "...what ....if ...?"

What are you overall thoughts on the OG incarnation of Organization XIII? What is it about them do you think that made them so popular among fans to the point that they got their own video game? How do you think the "Real" Organization XIII compares to them?

Naminé: Bad or good, I don't know. They're a group of incomplete people who wish to be whole. To that end, they're desperately searching for something.

IMO, this quote from Namine is the reason why the OG Organization was so popular. They weren't good or bad people. They were just incomplete and wished to be whole. They were all desperately searching for something, and it really wasn't even Kingdom Hearts. Each one of them was empty and incomplete, before they even lost their heart. KH2 was subtle about it. We never knew much of what these characters' backstories were. It was largely left to our imagination. But you could tell a lot about them by reading between the lines.

Most of the New Organization are the different forms of Xehanort, plus a lot of the same members from the old Organization. And Xehanort is one of the most complex and multi-faceted characters in the whole series. I LOVE Xehanort. All his forms are interesting. But the OG Organization are more iconic because each one was unique. They each had a different weapon, element, and personality. These are my thoughts on all of them:

Xemnas: Xemnas's final quote in KH3 shows that he thought being human was too painful. He said he felt the loneliness where his companions once stood. And even in KH2, he builds them a little graveyard called "Proof of Existence". It just hints that there was more going on with him than meets the eye. "Every heart returns to the darkness whence it came". I think Xehanort HATED the cycle of life and death. He wanted to build a new, better world.

Xigbar: I loved Xigbar's story. He had no bonds or close relationships with others. He was hoping the Keyblade's power would fill that emptiness. But in the end, he commits suicide because that was never going to fill his void.

Xaldin: He said he wanted to give up his heart to escape the shackles of emotion. IMO, he did something awful during the experiments and the guilt was tearing him apart. It was easier to be heartless than cope with what he felt. He told himself that love and emotions are a weakness to make himself feel strong. But he was running away from what would really make him whole: atonement.

Vexen: Similar to Xaldin. I think he did something terrible during the experiments and this shattered his pride. Having no heart allowed him to be cold enough to enjoy scientific pursuits once again. But he needed to atone and learn how to love again.

Lexaeus: In his Character File story, he seemed to desire tranquility. Ansem the Wise always thought that darkness could consume the world at any time. I think he was an anxious person by nature. Losing his home world to darkness was very traumatic for him, and he was searching for some way to find peace.

Zexion: I don't think he cared about losing his heart because emotions were unpleasant to him. As a kid, he was an orphan who almost never spoke, didn't smile. He had no friends his own age, he wasn't allowed to play outside, he had to study all day. Then, his one mentor who lets him just be a regular kid abandons him.

Saix: He started off as Lea's innocent ice-cream loving best friend and became the most heartless twisted member. KH3 did him dirty. He deserved a MUCH better and more tragic backstory. There were SO many hints that he was a test subject.

Axel: Roxas and Axel had a very interesting relationship in KH2. I ALWAYS got the sense that Axel had a best friend who had died. He was desperately searching for a way to fill his void and was trying to use Roxas to do so. But here's the thing. Roxas was NEVER going to replace his dead best friend. He was NEVER going to fill that void and that's what made Axel so tragic and compelling. I think Axel knew deep down that Roxas was never gonna make him whole again. And that's why he was really crying in that scene in KH2FM.

Demyx: Sad that his spot in the New Organization got stolen. I think he was very interesting. He said he was no good at fighting, and when you fight him in KH2, he acts very afraid. So you'd think he's weak. But the reality is he's very good at fighting. He's so cowardly because he just hates hurting others. His Character File reveals that he only joined the New Organization to be back with his friends. Really makes you wonder what his pre-Nobody life was like. Probably very traumatic.

Luxord: I think Xigbar tricked him into joining the New Organization by telling him about the black box. Luxord thought the world was doomed, but he was searching for hope. That was what he needed to fill his void and be complete. The card he gave Sora is the wild card. The Fool. Empty, yet holds infinite possibilities. IMO, the black box was the same. It was just something for him to project his hopes onto. Xigbar took advantage of his desperation.

Marluxia: He'd been an empty husk ever since Strelitzia died, so being a Nobody made no difference to him. In CoM, I assumed that the lady in his final boss form was dead. He was trying to gain the Replica Program and the Keyblade master under his control to bring her back to life. It was never stated outright. Just something you had to read between the lines.

Larxene: Marluxia's Mystery Gear is "Dainty Bellflowers". A flower that symbolizes "return to happiness". And that was her only goal. She just wanted Lauriam to be happy once again. She couldn't be whole until he was, and she was searching for a way to bring his sister back.

Roxas: Loved his story in KH2. Very interesting character. He was the sole kid in a group filled with broken adults who just wanted to use him them for their own ends. And he longed to just be a normal kid with friends his own age. That was what HE needed to be whole. The data Twilight Town was Roxas's dream world. And he lived an ordinary summer vacation with HAYNER as his best friend. Roxas's Organization "best friend" Axel wasn't even a part of Roxas's ideal life. And that made perfect sense and was completely realistic to me. Roxas longed to be best friends with a normal kid his own age, not a grown man who was a broken shell of a person.

From making something as simple as cookies to a four course meal

And he always makes sure that you eat something healthy.

Lexaeus:

Lexaeus is kind of the quiet one (mostly because Nomura didn’t give a lot of lines!)

Which is fine cause he enjoys the quiet moments with you

Whether is napping in the garden or just reading in the library.

Does not matter with him

As long as he’s with you, he’s happy

Vexen:

(I’m sorry but this was the funniest scene ever!)

Vexen likes it when you help him out in his lab

Whether it’s helping him with an experiment or just clearing off his table to make work easier

Doesn’t really matter to him

Just as long as you are being safe.

Things can get a little crazy in there

Even if you don’t know anything about horticulture (great. Now I miss taking horticulture)

He will teach all the correct ways to collect fruits and vegetables along with how to care for them

I really wanna develop Seridux's relationships with the rest of the Org but I keep running into the issue of me not wanting to fuck around with canon too much.

(I say, as if adding a pre-Roxas 13th member who is Xigbars gf isn't massively fucking around with canon)

...also the fact that I can't really see most of them liking them, cause I'm not really likeable. Like IRL, most would just find me boring at best.

Furthest I've gotten is "Luxord is nice to them sometimes (but also in an AU they date instead)" and "Larxene is bi and was secretly happy for another not-male/perceived afab person in the group but thinks Seri is boring af" and "Went on a mission with Demyx once but Demyx hangs out with Xigbar more (slightly) so they're not a trio or anything." Can't really make Xig Seri Lux a trio because Xig and Lux are implied to dislike each other in canon so that doesn't really work.

I was gonna have Xaldin train them to give him some spotlight but when I tried to imagine it I ended up realizing that I just don't care for him that much. Debated doing Lexaeus since I like him more cause both are Strong but I feel like his type of training wouldn't suit me (and he's a slow Mighty Glacier while they're a bit more of a Glass Cannon or Fragile Speedster so it doesn't really mesh well).

I can't do Vexen because I'm already having to write around how he'd most likely be able to sense something off about Seri (while having Luxu sense it due to some ToF lore stuff) , and he would just make them nervous due to paranoia. Originally, Seri was going to help him with some lab experiments like an assistant after Roxas joined and their subsequent demotion, and at one point I had considered him finding out and using Ruesid as a base for the replicas...but then I felt like that took too much away from Vexen's canon accomplishments with the project, so the best he gets is Seri letting him steal some Puppets from the Ghost Temple (before they just up and vanish on him before he can do anything. Multiple times. He gives up.)

They pretty much never interact with Xemnas. And Zexion...I could try something with him but idk if it'd work out.

Finally, Roxas and Xion join too late to build much. They get some bonding with Xion (but not enough to get in the way of the Sea Salt Trio) and then Seridux dies during the plot of Days before Xion ever rejoins after defecting.

I JUST HAD THE CRAZIEST IDEA FOR WHAT A REAL HEART FEELS LIKE (long ramble warning)

So in writing it, I’ve really only focused on the Archon Quests. But I’m planning on doing a few Story Quests for certain characters (definitely Mona’s and you’re about to find out why), alongside at least one limited event. That event will be the Golden Apple Archipelago, and I’m doing both visits.

The first visit will just be mindless summer fun on the islands. I’ll probably have Noelle there along with everyone else (because let’s face it we all know she deserves a vacation).

But the second visit...oh, that one will be character development GALORE.

Mona, Fischl, Xinyan, and Kazuha all have their mirages as normal. Noelle will be there again, so she’ll have one, too. But then things get interesting.

See, in the actual game, the Traveler didn’t get a mirage. But this isn’t the actual game. See what I’m getting at here?

Yep, Roxas gets a mirage, too! And his will be based on a place he knows well. No, not Twilight Town.

It’ll be The World That Never Was.

It won’t be based on their visit to any particular island either. After all, this is a place that doesn’t exist, isn’t it? My plan is that the group gets separated from Roxas (how that happens, I’ve yet to determine) and then they all fall into a dreamlike slumber. They wake up and find that they’re in the Alley To Between, the first area in The World That Never Was. And Roxas is still gone.

It’s all kinda straightforward from there. They travel through TWTNW, maybe fighting a few Nobodies along the way. But then things get interesting at the Castle That Never Was.

They hear voices, ones they don’t recognize. Voices that seem to be plotting something...mentioning hearts, darkness, Keyblades...and becoming whole again.

They travel through the stronghold (Proof of Existence isn’t there, but you’ll know why in a minute), and eventually find themselves at Where Nothing Gathers, the old meeting room of Organization XIII.

And then each of them disappear.

They find themselves in strange arena-like areas, separated from one another. Before them will appear a figure - a member of the Organization.

I’m planning on having Xinyan fight Demyx, because HEY LOOK YOU PLAY STRING INSTRUMENT I PLAY STRING INSTRUMENT LET’S FIGHT AND SEE WHO’S THE BETTER MUSICIAN LOL (there will be some serious stuff and development for Xinyan, don’t worry)

I’m probably gonna have Fischl fight Larxene. Not sure why.

Mona will either fight Saix or Luxord (I’m leaning towards Luxord, because he’s the type to rely on rolling the dice if you know what I mean. Also his title is literally “Gambler of Fate” and Mona’s an astrologist who deals with reading destiny soooo yeah)

I’m not sure who Kazuha’s gonna square up with. Maybe Lexaeus?

But Noelle...oh, Noelle’s got a challenge ahead of her. But first, a bit of context.

As of the story currently, Noelle and Roxas are in a sort of...pseudo-relationship. Not quite dating, but definitely more than friends. It’s hard to describe. And no they’re not friends with benefits, get your mind out the gutter.

But anyway, let’s just say Noelle cares very deeply about Roxas.

And who do you fight in KH2? What well-developed son-of-a-gun character did I lose to about 20 times and not get mad at once?

Roxas.

Yeah, Noelle’s gonna have to relive Roxas’s boss fight. And there’s gonna be some HEFTY dialogue beforehand, because this isn’t post-KH2 Roxas who’s just plain depressed. This is post-358/2 Roxas who is depressed and ABSOLUTELY LIVID.

I imagine the pre-boss fight conversation would play out kinda the way it did with Sora in Roxas in KH Coded. Something like this:

Illusory Roxas (hooded, so Noelle doesn’t recognize him): “You made it to the end, I take it? Heh...I’d ask if you had fun on your little trip. But that doesn’t really matter, does it? Nothing does.”

Noelle (realizing that his voice sounds familiar): “Wh-What do you mean? There are plenty of things that matter to me.”

Illusory Roxas (scoffs): “Heh...of course there are. You know what it’s like to have a heart. Tell me...what is it that matters most to you?”

Noelle: “...A person. You...You sound like him, oddly enough. I...I care about him a lot. More than anything. But he’s missing...and it hurts that he could be suffering without me there to save him.”

Illusory Roxas: “...So you hurt. I’m warning you, that hurt will drag you into the depths of the darkness. You need to let go of it.”

Noelle: “Why should I? The hurt I feel...it reminds me of what’s important to me: him. It lets me know that he needs me, and that I need him. I’m not going to run from it. That hurt will stay in my heart until I find him.”

Illusory Roxas (gritting his teeth): “The darkness will take you first. It’ll come from the hurt in your heart before you ever find who you’re looking for.”

Noelle: “But if I ignore my pain, I’ll lose my tie with the person I care about most. Even if I do fall into darkness...I’ll carry this hurt with me. It’ll be my light. And I’m only going to let it go when I find him...because he’s my light. But until I find him, I’ll hold on to my pain. It’s what keeps my heart connected to his. And it may not be the best feeling, this...hurt...but I accept it.”

Illusory Roxas: “...You say you accept it? This isn’t a game!”

(The room shifts to reveal a Station of Awakening, and this one belongs to Noelle!)

(Noelle looks around, confused and shocked. Suddenly, a familiar sword points at her back.)

Illusory Roxas (holding Oathkeeper and Oblivion, pointing Oblivion at Noelle): “It’s way past time you learned WHAT REAL HURT FEELS LIKE!!!”

(fight begins)
