Honestly he’d flirt with a rock if he thought it was funny enough

but for whatever reason when he flirted with you

It felt different. Like his stomach was twisting

He didn’t know what to do about it

so he flirted even more, even threw in the dad jokes to settle it

but nothing worked

he eventually ran to his beloved twin to ask for help

Donnie just laughed and sent him Raph’s way

but Raph just shrugged and sent him to Mikey

by that point he felt hopeless.

eventually he just gave up and told you about it.

He would never forget how red you got, or how you smiled an nervous and jittery.

he will always complain that he couldn’t get a picture of it. ——————————————— The big softie RAPH :

This guy is so scared at first

physical affection is his main way of communicating feelings… at all.

but to him you just are so soft and delicate compared to him

It makes him nervous

you start to think that he just doesn’t want to touch you like he does with everyone else

he sets that straight real quick

he hugs you like he’s hugging glass and never wants to let go

you don’t hate it but you make sure to let him know you won’t break

From then on he will cuddle and hug you just like everyone else. Just a Little bit more carefully. Just in case.————————————————— The baby boi MIKEY :

He treats you like a best friend

but for some reason he’s a lot more clingy towards you

and that’s saying something

he just constantly wants to spend time with you

doing literally ANYTHING with you makes his day 100 times better

especially when you get all competitive during games, or emotional during movies.

You two are just peas in a pod and spend a lot of time together

yoh almost never fight. You just can’t get mad at him for long

he sees you as a muse

puts you on a pedestal higher than you could ever guess

you never do anything wrong in his eyes

and he has made it clear he will fight anyone who doesn’t think the same thing

and you want to curse him for ruining your sleep schedule

bjt you don’t really care anymore

especially since you get to hang out with him as much as you do

his brothers are confused at the least when you just waltz into his lab unannounced

they kind of started planning your funeral when you did

bur were crying at your feet when you came back out groggy and sleepy

at least they didn’t notice you wearing Donnie’s too-big pajamas.

[edit] I came up with these while extremely sleep deprived so take them with a grain of salt

So fun fact: I listened to the tlt musical way before reading tlt for the first time so while reading the first five, the main characters’ voices were just— the musical ones lol

(Mr D’s is not — but I don’t have a voice claim for him he just sounds like Mr D in my head I can’t explain it lol)

Others (and this is strictly based on voices, like if we’re casting for an animated show or something idk):

Leo: Camilo from Encanto would be a good bet - they have that same vibe yk

Reyna: I feel like maybe a young Idina Menzel perhaps?

Piper: please do not take this the wrong way I love Piper but Lea Michelle is the one that comes to mind. Girly (I’m gonna need her to be girly so she can overcome Not Like Other Girls syndrome) and she can carry a tune.

Jason: This one is tough. I could see a Peter Parker or perhaps a Barbie animated movie prince kind of voice?? I say it with love but when I read Jason’s lines I kinda just go to Generic Ken lol [Edit: consider Zac Efron in his Troy Bolton era]

Coach Hedge: Danny Devito for coach hedge send tweet. Second pick: The dad whose name I can’t remember from Mitchells vs the Machines. Dad voice.

Apollo/ Lester: In Apollo form I am begging for Ryan Gosling (I know he’s probably considered too old but I think a meta joke about Apollo taking the form after Ryan bc he was such a heartthrob would be funny also he’s Ryan Gosling. ((He is still a heartthrob but he had a bit of a hiatus between the notebook and barbie yk)) In his Lester form: voice only is gonna have to be Noel from Ride The Cyclone. Shout out to whoever voice claimed him for Lester on tt — truly a divine (heh) choice. For fancast I would love to see Dominic Sessa. Case in point: The broken arm scene in The Holdovers.

Meg my beloved: Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph. Rip Meg Mccaffrey you would’ve loved Wreck It Ralph.

With drawings of them and the turtles. Also they try really REALLY hard to not get caught because they seriously do not want them to see their “notes”. Hello there! YOU ARE MY FIRST ROTTMNT ASK AAA IM SO EXCITED :D i have a serious hyper fixation on this show and i need help hahah- I had a lot of fun doing this and I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: None! (Some swearing but i do that a lot so it's not really all that different lol)

Prompt: (PLATONIC!!)Rise!Donnie, Leo, Raph, and Mikey with a child!reader who admires them

Donnie

I feel like Donnie would be the first to notice, and at first he wouldn’t really care all that much

In fact I think he’d respect that, if one needs notes about something then one needs notes

Pretty cocky about it too, why wouldn’t one want to know about the glorious and most intelligent turtle Othello Von Ryan?

But at the same time he also is quite suspicious of you and makes sure to keep an eye out in case you try and tell anyone of the turtle brothers existence

Honestly takes too long debating whether or not to tell his brothers

One day they all spot you taking your notes, Donnie knew a little bit about it since he has his high grade tech (he has his goggles after all, he probably knows your writing down something)

Let’s say they tried to confront you, wondering why and how the heck you managed to get on the top of one of the buildings and if you were in any danger

Yeah let’s just say you got scared and fled the scene leaving your notes behind

Donnie was the one that took it, claiming he can read any hand writing and wanted to make sure it didn’t have any personal information that could be used against them

I’m reality, he was quite curious to see what you were writing down

Turns out, you were doodling the turtles and yourself all in a picture with the classic ✨sun in the corner✨ and at the top said “friends” but he could see that it was erased and rewritten a few different times, as if you were hesitating to write it

He flipped through the pages and were impressed with how much notes you got that were accurate considering the fact you've been watching from a distance

While one would find it creepy, he can’t really hold it against you, children have people they admire and look up to and it just so happens that he and his brothers are the ones you look up to

Definitely tried to return the notebook, successfully spotting you in your usual spot, searching for your beloved notes

He talks to you, asking about you and how he’s intrigued by your notes (he's very impressed but would never admit that out loud)

He asks if you would like to meet his brothers and maybe ask about some stuff to help your notes so that he can make sure you "have the right information"

He's still his cocky self, but I think he'd understand where your coming from

We don't don't about his obsession with atomic lass-

Leo

SO. FUCKING. COCKY.

When he saw you taking notes from a distance every time that he and his brothers went out to do patrolling, he'd notice you being around the first few times or so, assuming you lived around that area

But then he noticed that you always seemed to be wherever they were

At one point, it hit his skull that you were following them

Only difference is that if he somehow found out before Donnie (highly unlikely btw) he'd point it out almost immediately

He would just kinda be like, "is it just me, or does this kid seem to following us?"

The others would notice too and agree to try and see if you were following them

Upon being confronted you tried to explain something but we're too nervous and ran off, leaving your notebook behind

Donnie was about to snatch it when he did, claiming he was going to read it first before Donnie hogged it to himself

He flipped through the pages and saw the drawing you did

Honestly thought it was creepy at first but then realized that you just wanted to be friends and looked up to them

Leo is the greatest ninja the world has ever seen, so it would make sense why you would want to be friends with him and his sidekicks brothers IM SORRY I HAD TO QUOTE THE MOVIE AND I PROBABLY SHOULDN'T HAVE BUT I COULDN'T HELP IT-

I feel like at some point he'd confront you it would be the day after he found the notebook you left behind and he would give it back and ask you about what kind of hobbies you do and what inspired you to watch him and his brothers

I think that he would eventually start talking to you often and eventually invite you to the lair sometimes. You would basically be a really close to of his

I think overall he'd be very smug and cocky about it but would deep down be honored that you would choose them to be the ones you look up to

Raph

Raph would probably be one of the ones that doesn't notice this until someone else points it out. I also think he could also be the one to see it first. It just depends

Raph would be so honored that you looked up to them, he'd notice you following them and would go out of his way to offer you a smile before they'd go back to the lair

One day you leave your notebook alone after an encounter and he notices you dropped it

He wouldn't go through it surprisingly

One of his brothers would get to it first and would go through it, meaning he'd had to try and get them to stop invading privacy

Once he gets a glance, however, he feels so touched at the drawing you did and the detailed notes you've written down

He may not be the best at understanding complicated notes, but he knew how much thought and accuracy went into writing them down

Raph would try his best to return the notebook to you the next time they went out to fight bad guys

When he does return it, he places his hand on your head and ruffles your hair (if you don't have very long hair [shaved or buzzed] or if you have no hair at all, he'd give you a head pat)

He'd encourage you to ask them anything if you had questions, but would lightly scold you about being out and about at night by yourself

As long as you were safe about it, you may have just found yourself a new friend AND a kind of parental figure

Mikey

LOVES. YOU. SO. MUCH. (Platonically, of course)

He wouldn't notice at all, it was definitely pointed out by one of his brothers

He'd be a little worries about you being alone in New York by yourself given how you look to be around 12 or so

He'd confront you after a few different times they'd notice you, advising you to not be out so late

You didn't listen like the little shit you are

Eventually, they all had noticed and tried to confront you about it since they were rather curious

The pressure of talking to the turtles you looked up to had to a little nervous and you took off before they could talk to you

You did, however leave your notebook behind

Mikey looked through the different notes and flipped until he saw the drawing

He thought it was the cutest thing ever! He loved drawing and art related things himself, so he was really excited to see that you liked to draw as well!

When he finally saw you again, he handed you the notebook and offered to lend you some art materials or to sometime draw with him

It would take time to get him to invite you to the lair, but it would eventually become a very frequent thing

Very flattered but also very excited about the drawing

Sorry that this was finished so late :( life has been annoying as hell and making me not have motivation or the time to write as much as i used to. Nonetheless, I am very slowly getting back into the swing of things. Hope you have an amazing rest of your day/night and remember to drink your water <3

ian: this one is more about vibes than look and also it made me laugh. because who gives that sad, washed-up older brother vibe QUITE LIKE skyler gisondo. this casting is everything to me i think it's so funny.

aguilar: do you think we can get away with rico rodriguez in a serious-ish role. i mean it's a comedy role in a serious-ish show. i just think he has the range.

luke: as a fun little nod to the series that was the partial inspiration for iwks, a little bit part for mister kit connor.

peter: wyatt oleff has that swagless mess energy about him

duran: im gonna go diego josef who is also from 'somewhere inside your house'. literally cried over his character watching this terrible movie bc his acting was incredible. (he was also just the best character imo.) i also cry over duran regularly so this all makes sense to me !

The "top prospects" group in that pic/from today is so strange to me. The michkov erasure at the combine already felt noticeable (and I get he has been busy since getting to america) but now they're also missing leo (who maybe was supposed to be there but his flight was cancelled) and reinbacher?!

Is it really top prospects when this group of 8 is missing potentially 3 of the actual top 8?

i assume michkov is excused from general PR activities because a lot of teams want to meet with him in a very short time frame and that takes priority over general gladhanding, so i wouldn't necessarily read anything into his absence. leo carlsson did indeed miss this event because of flight issues. idk about reinbacher, maybe the nhl really does think this is a strong year for forwards. seems like reinbacher's only predicted to go top 8 bc he's the best defenseman, not necessarily because he's one of the eight best players.

however! where i CAN get a little 👀 is the absence of gabe perreault! there has been so much talk about how the four top ntdp boys could go in pretty much any order, so it seems a little unusual to be missing one of them, especially one that's 1/3 of the vaunted top line triumvirate.

for anyone not as obsessed as me, the prospects in that photo are:

B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

(i was gonna say the bobby/jess/ali thruple until i realized no one wanted me to ship that lmao)

i would say lawrusso. don't get me wrong, enemies to lovers is my jam, but when i watched tkk and then noticed people online shipping them, i was like "really? but johnny straight-up bullies him :(" then after season four, just like when johnny noticed larusso's fruity beer flavors, i started to get some fruity vibes from them in the show. i knew they'd never make it canon obviously, but the concept of it, with ck making johnny's character have dimension, i started to see it. i don't suppose anyone changed my mind, but the little online community we have here is nice :-)

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it?

i believe the first ever OTP i was super into was percabeth. i was a harry potter fan first but i was never too hyped over any of the ships in that, but percabeth's slow burn and dedication makes it one of my only continuing straight ships today. (so excited for the show!!)

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

whew. um. well, v*ltron is fairly obvious. even people that have never heard of the show heard about that, it was awful. i was just a calm klance shipper and everyone went nuts. also s*nders sides. i was in the fandom for about five years, but i kinda outgrew it and i think the fandom is pretty immature, but then any mature content they make is just...well, not my cup of tea. (it was tentacle p*rn. guys it was tentacle p*rn please help them--) but i'll still watch any new vids of it even if they take quite a while to come out.

it's hard to choose just one! but @ohnoitsthebat obviously you are great, you always have something nice to say about my works and i love seeing your writing, it's very outside of the box! <3

Jamie Jade Ryan was born to Philip Ryan, a New York native and a successful cardiothoracic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian hospital, and to Lena Ryan, also a New York native (get the pattern?), an artist and a gallery owner. It was a typical love story between the serious, successful guy, who had his whole life planned out, and a bohemian spirited woman who lived to not plan at all. They fell in love immediately, thought of each other as soulmates, got married in the Dominican Republic, seven months later they got Jamie.. and that was it. They lived happily ever after. Scratch that. Sure they lived happily, just had to decide when Jamie was around eight years old that they were happier apart.. divorce was what followed. Fortunately for Jamie, her parents couldn’t care less about bureaucracy or court decisions because the only thing they truly cared for was their only daughter. So despite their divorce, Jamie grew up running from her mother’s home to her father’s home, which were only two buildings away from each other in Tribeca, whenever and however she wanted. As long as she was happy.

As an only child she was spoiled. Without any doubt. But it was more that she was spoiled by her parents’ love and care. Sure, she had money. How couldn’t she when her father was the one who was operating hearts of the most influential people on this planet? While on the other hand, her mother was selling those same people paintings of the artists whose names were hard to pronounce, while their paintings were even harder to understand. In any case, she had it all.. love from her parents, money in her pockets.. and various bank accounts.

After graduating from high school, which she’ll definitely remember by the crazy clubbing, lots of drinking and even more traveling all around the world, Jamie got into the Brown University, the alma mater of her mother, and not so much an alma mater of her father, who was the proud Yale alumni. But who cared? Sure, her father wanted for Jamie to follow into his footsteps, while her mother wanted for her to be a yoga teacher (seriously?), but she had decided to throw away both suggestions. It wasn’t that she had always wanted to become a TV producer, but she really didn’t want to become a surgeon nor a yoga teacher either. So when one of her father’s patients offered her an internship at NBC, she said yes. Why the hell not? It was on Manhattan, she could have lots of fun and meet lots of celebrities.. and so her internship had turned into a real job. Due to her chaotic nature, but definitely mixed up with good organizational skills, and her charismatic, bubbly and outgoing personality, it was no wonder Jamie had quickly became one of the producers of the famed and beloved Saturday Night Live.

So now it seemed the girl was the it girl of Manhattan.. with a successful career, amazing family and friends in her corner, a couple of failed relationships behind her, it was as if she was living the life every other person on this planet had dreamed of. But was that it? Was that all life had prepared for her? For God’s sake, she was 34 years old and had it all. And the thought of that scared the shit out of her. Either she’d climb up even more or she would spectacularly fall so hard that there’d be no chance for her to ever stand up again.. but hey, as the good old Henley wrote, she was a master of her fate, she was a master of her soul. And there was no chance in hell Jamie Ryan would ever fall down.. or not find her way up again.

Mary Senese

Mary Senese passed away peacefully at her home in Kingston, PA on Sunday, July 9, 2023, after a long illness. She was 85 years old.

Mary was born to the late Marion Collins and Arthur Schultz in Noxen, PA in 1937. Her fiery red hair earned her the affectionate nickname “Red” among her siblings Joan, Arthur, Daniel, Ellen, and John. It was a fitting emblem for her exuberant personality and her zest for life.

Mary began her working life as a teen behind the counter at Percy Brown’s, an iconic 1950’s Wilkes-Barre market and cafeteria. After graduating from St. Leo’s High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College, she met the love of her life, Fred Senese, a U. S. Navy damage controlman on the crew of the U. S. S. Wisconsin. They were married at St. Leo’s Church in Ashley, PA in January 1958.

They had a long and remarkably happy marriage, raising seven children, managing Fred’s carpentry business, and cheerfully weathering many obstacles together over the next 33 years.

After Fred’s untimely death in 1991, Mary earned an associate degree in business data pocessing technology from Luzerne County Community College and re-entered the workforce. She worked at Offset Paperback Manufacturing for many years and then joined the IT department of Western and Southern Life Insurance. She retired in 2008 and lived quietly for the rest of her life in Kingston, PA.

Mary will be profoundly missed by her surviving children: Fred Senese, of Frostburg, MD; Jeffrey Senese and his wife Alicia, of Philadelphia, PA; Glenn Senese and his wife Debbie, of Pittston, PA; Maryellen Takacs of Kingston, PA; Liza Roper and her husband Ben, of Kingston, PA; and Leah Warenda and her husband Frank of West Wyoming, PA. She deeply missed her son Christopher, who preceded her in death in 1989.

Mary loved her grandchildren. She often invited them to sleepovers at her house, where she’d make funnel cakes and other treats with them. Her absence will be keenly felt by her surviving grandchildren, Ryan Senese, Brandon Senese, Shawn Senese, Chris Takacs, Dana Takacs, Michael Senese, Mia Senese, Kai Senese, Keiran Senese, Lauren Senese, Daniel Senese, Erin Senese, Rachel Senese, Frankie Warenda, Charlie Warenda and Joey Warenda.

Mary is survived by her dear sister Joan Gallagher, and her husband Martin, and their children Molly, Megan, Monica, and Martin Jr. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Dalia, and her sons Lenny and Albert, and the children of her late brother Daniel: Marilyn, Laura, Joanne, Daniel Joe, and Paul.. She was preceded in death by her sister Ellen and her brother Arthur.

Mary’s final services will begin with a viewing on Friday July 14 at 4 PM to 7 PM at Hugh B. Hughes Funeral Home in Forty Fort, PA. Formal services at the funeral home will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 15.

Mary’s funeral mass will be held on Saturday at 10:15 AM on July 15 at St. Ignatius Church in Kingston, PA, the church she attended for the last 40 years. The mass will be followed by a procession to the gravesite at St. Ignatius Cemetery.

Mary never did anything that she didn’t want to do. Her honesty and her deeply rooted sense of right and wrong were legendary. If she had a problem with you, she would let you know about it. In the twilight of her life, when grieving the passing of friends and family, Mary would sometimes say, “Well. They had a life.” She said this quietly and matter-of-factly, not as a dismissal but as an admiration of a life well-lived, a life beloved.

Mary had a life. And Mary was beloved.

Tell us about Fever Dream! What inspired you to make it a screen play instead of a book? Who are the main players?

ngl i was hoping someone would ask ab this buttttt fever dream is actually for my senior capstone! i go to a charter arts school so we have to do capstones at the end of our high school careers to show our improvement and it's not due until like, april 2022 but i'm stupid and decided to make this way harder for myself so i decided to start it now!!!!

it's actually a screenplay because the whole concept for it is what i thought high school was going to be like, hence the "high school's a major FEVER DREAM" tagline. it's also a screenplay bc i am trying to get more confident w this type of these since i'm going to be in honors playwriting (and possibly writing something for my school's theatre department!!!!) and also that means i can get some of theatre friends to help me!!!

anywayss the rest is going under the cut!!

sooo the main players are as follows: sam, harry, gia, aimee, kate, and marina. gia's twin brother and harry's friends isaac & reese are also in it but they're not like the main characters like the others are.

sam carrigan (played by sarah pidgeon) is the ULTIMATE self insert. like she's actually just me. she's also just like the most passive protagonist i've written in a bit? mainly because i feel like high school, in this setting, doesn't really bring any lee-way for me to have like this crazy ass protagonist since it is just a high school comedy.

harry wilson-arreaga (played by froy gutierrez) is one of sam's love interests. he's the one that little me would've been OBSESSED with. like embarassingly obsessed. he's a bit of an airhead and it's apparent but he's not like, rude or anything. just a bit shallow. he's also a football player for another hs (since the school they all go to is a performing arts school) and he's also in the theatre program!! he's like, the lead in everything bc he's only masculine-presenting person truly invested in it. (he wants to go to nyu, like he's that serious.)

gia rogers (played by ryan destiny) is sam's second love interest! she's really popular and they go through a bit of a one-sided enemies to lovers arc (sam is just like...incredibly jealous of gia to the point of no return lmfaoooo and gia's just chill w her and thinks she's funny) and she's the one sam indefinitely ends up with. she's a piano player, and her brother, leo (played by aubrey joseph, who is my beloved) is also a musician! he's a saxophone player and he's in band w sam!!

aimee jackson (played by lovie simone) is one of sam's two best friends! she's dating kate, sam's other best friend and she's honestly an angel. unproblematic and really just trying hard. she's sam's childhood best friend and they're really close. she's also the head of the costume department for the theatre program and just...she's my beloved. she's what bubbles from the powerpuff girls live-action should've been. she's also just really chill and sweet while not being a pushover?? it's great. alsooo she's valedictorian bc aimee is literally perfect.

kate carter (played by mia healey) is sam's other best friend. she's an incredibly passionate actress and it comes off as too much for some people but sam's known kate since middle school and could never part w her. kate's like...u know the meme where it's like, there's two people and one is like "x ordered no pickles?" kate's the one that would say something bc sam and aimee wouldn't want to overstep. she's also in theatre leadership and helps helm all the big projects.

marina kalua (played by auli’i cravalho) is a new transfer kid! she’s doesn’t really know anyone but sam takes an immediate liking to her and they become fast friends. she’s in the visual arts department and is shadowing aimee since she’s two years younger and is set to take over the costume department once aimee graduates!!! she’s super duper sweet and is maybe sorta based off of one of my best friends mj (but we don’t take ab that one lmfaooo) but she’s baby and definitely a much needed bit of optimism in the story!!!
