Just remembered the reason I got onto tumblr was to post about my lemon tarts

Pro: they taste good. I had fun making them. it was something new for me.

Con: they smell really fucking weird? Esp when I was cooking the tart filling??? Like fucking eggs (my recipe called for 3 eggs) or a wet dog, idk. When I told my mom this she said that those 2 smells don’t smell anything alike but they do. For me.

Still taste good tho.

Also this isn’t necessarily a con but the whole reason I was making them was bc I bought a lemon tart a few weeks/month ago from a bakery that was really far out of the way. It was soooo good. Not too sour or sweet. Very creamy.

My tarts were a bit more sour and not as creamy. The color was more yellow than the one I bought.

Idk. They’re very good and I’m glad I made them, but I do wish I could replicate the tart I bought. That shit was good. I could eating that lemon tart filling with a SPOON.
