can give you an idea of their meetups these are the ones we know about plus one controversial one that I believe is worth mentioning to either prove or disprove definitively. please feel free to add any ones missing or correct any mistakes as I'm doing this from memory

2022

Feb: Valentine's day week

March: England, on separate streams they both said they decided to go at the last minute, they were spotted alone together in a video with a fan

April: LA

May: LA again with foolish after his nc/florida roadtrip

June: New York where they were spotted by a fan alone shopping (there's a clip of it somewhere on twitter), Tinacon, karl was also in LA prior to Tinacon but no idea how many times they met up during that time

July: Tinacon continued, LoL tournament in Las Vegas, on a foolish fall guys stream tina talked about going to nc for karl's bday but for some reason this didn't happen

August: Tina went to NC

Sept: Tina went to New York followed by Karl a few days later, people say he was busy working but one of the otv vlogs showed he was with their group, LA again for Name Your Price, Karl was in LA a while before leaving to England

Oct: after getting back from England late sept karl went straight back to LA and didn't leave until mid Oct, early oct he announced getting a place in la within days of tina announcing moving there at the end of sept.

Dec: the controversial one that is NOT PROVEN, but it is believed by some that she flew to portland to spend time with karl and his family between dec 14-17th (that's the week they celebrated christmas), those who believe this theory point to several things such as tina saying she was going to be unavailable, then several hours later someone on twitter saying they spotted her at lax on the 14th, her being absent from all social media and even discord during that time, as well as karl streaming from her room on the 17th saying he just got off a plane an hour ago suggesting they flew back together and then went straight to her place. also they spent the 17-23/24th together. again the portland meetup is a theory, nobody actually knows where she was during that time.

2023

Feb: Valentines week NC, tina stayed at karls house

March: around 9/10 karl went to la and didn't leave for 2 weeks

April: early april karl went to la again stayed a few days, then flew back with tina to nc she again stayed at his house, then in late april tina flew to japan to see him

May: karl and tina stay almost the entire first week of may in japan

June: 6/7 karl flies to la to watch spiderman with her and leaves after only being there two days, we know this because they told the same story about the movie experience they had watching it, neither knew the other told the story and neither mentioned the other was there. then they met up sometime around the 18th of june again and hung out til the end of vidcon where he briefly left to go with mr beast before coming back on the 28th and staying through july 6/7

July: stayed until the last possible moment before leaving to pack for paris, tina then flies on the 18th to nc to spend time with him on his bday, again staying at his house

August: 7-12th from what I've seen others mention

those are the ones I'm aware of between 2022 and now... with maybe one or two missing in september of 2022 and possibly others missing as well. I'm sure someone else with more knowledge can fill you on on 2021

wow anon this is so good. they really do meet at least once a month but usually twice a month. that's quite telling cause karl is always travelling but he makes time for her.

While technically no longer a driver, James Hinchcliffe, known as Hinch, is still an integral part of the field. He remains friends with most of the drivers and serves as an informal liaison between them and the series, emailing drivers after each race asking for their concerns and forwarding them on to those in charge. Now in a broadcast role at NBC for Indycar and select IMSA races, Hinch does not rule out racing again, should the right opportunity arise. As of 2023, he has become a 'big F1 guy' commentating on select F1 races for F1TV

2019 ESPN Body Issue Controversy? Rumor has it that Arrow disapproved of James baring it all and this contributed to him being 'relieved of his duties.' James remained under contract for 2020, under which he was required to be with the team on race weekends and make sponsor appearances, but was free to pursue other opportunities. In 2020, Hinchcliffe joined NBC Sports as analyst for IndyCar races and select IMSA races when he did not enter as a driver. Read the ESPN article and view the pictures.

Hinch often referred to himself as the class clown of Indycar while he was a driver, bringing his slightly irreverent sense of humor out as often as he could. He’s a natural in front of a camera, entertaining fans throughout his whole career. He’s very intelligent and capable of explaining complex concepts in an easy to understand way. He’s got a sunny personality, is very personable and is almost always full of good humor and enthusiasm.

My childhood in some TV show:

1) Murder She Wrote (1984 - 1996)

Murder, She Wrote is an American crime drama television series starring Angela Lansbury (born October 16, 1925) as mystery writer and amateur detective Jessica Fletcher. Moving into television in 1984, she achieved worldwide fame as fictional writer and sleuth Jessica Fletcher in the American whodunit series Murder, She Wrote, which ran for twelve seasons until 1996, becoming one of the longest-running and most popular detective drama series in television history.

The show revolves around the day-to-day life of Jessica Fletcher, (formerly MacGill), a widowed and retired English teacher, who becomes a successful mystery writer. Despite fame and fortune, Jessica remains a resident of Cabot Cove, a small coastal community in Maine, and maintains her links with all of her old friends, never letting her success go to her head.

Jessica invariably proves more perceptive than the official investigators of a case, who are almost always willing to arrest the most likely suspect. By carefully piecing the clues together and asking astute questions, she always manages to trap the real murderer.

Jessica's relationship with law enforcement officials varies from place to place. Both sheriffs of Cabot Cove resign themselves to having her meddle in their cases. However, most detectives and police officers do not want her anywhere near their crime scenes, until her accurate deductions convince them to listen to her. Some are happy to have her assistance from the start, often because they are fans of her books. With time, she makes friends in many police departments across the U.S., as well as with a British police officer attached to Scotland Yard. At the start of season eight, more of the stories were set in New York City with Jessica moving into an apartment there part-time in order to teach criminology.

2) Columbo (1968 - 2003)

Columbo is an American crime drama television series starring Peter Falk as Columbo, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. Columbo is a shrewd but inelegant blue-collar homicide detective whose trademarks include his rumpled beige raincoat, unassuming demeanor, cigar, old Peugeot 403 car, unseen wife (whom he mentions frequently), and often leaving a room only to return with the catchphrase "Just one more thing." Columbo and his wife own also a Basset Hound named Dog.

Peter Falk (September 16, 1927 – June 23, 2011) was an American actor and comedian, known for his role as Lieutenant Columbo in the long-running television series Columbo (1968–2003), for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards (1972, 1975, 1976, 1990) and a Golden Globe Award (1973).

The recurring plot's homicide suspects are often affluent members of high society; this has led some to see class conflict as an element of each story, however the show's creators have stated that setting the program in the world of the wealthy and powerful was to create a fish out of water feeling, not to make a social or political point. Suspects carefully cover their tracks and are initially dismissive of Columbo's circumstantial speech and apparent ineptitude. They become increasingly unsettled as his pestering behavior teases out incriminating evidence. His relentless approach often leads to self-incrimination or outright confession.

3) The Munsters (1964 - 1966)

The Munsters is an American sitcom depicting the home life of a family of benign monsters. The series starred Fred Gwynne as Frankenstein's monster and head-of-the-household Herman Munster; Yvonne De Carlo as his wife Lily Munster; Al Lewis as Lily's father, Grandpa, the somewhat over-the-hill vampire Count Dracula who longs for the "good old days" in Transylvania; Beverley Owen (later replaced by Pat Priest) as their teenage niece Marilyn Munster, who was attractive by conventional standards but the "ugly duckling" of the family; and Butch Patrick as their werewolfish son Eddie Munster. The series was a satire of both traditional monster movies and the wholesome family fare of the era. It ran concurrently with the similarly macabre-themed The Addams Family (which aired on ABC).

4) Zorro (1957 - 1959)

Armando Joseph Catalano (January 14, 1924 – April 30, 1989), better known as Guy Williams, was an Italo-American actor and former fashion model. Among his most notable achievements were TV serie Zorro (1957), in which he played the title chatacter: the noble hildago Don Diego de la Vega, who became the masked vigilante Zorro.

Don Diego de la Vega is a young man who is the only son of Don Alejandro de la Vega (George J. Lewis), the richest landowner in California, while Diego's mother is dead. Diego learned his swordsmanship while at university in Madrid, and created his masked alter ego after he was unexpectedly summoned home by his father because California had fallen into the hands of the greedy and cruel local Comandante, Capitán Enrique Sánchez Monasterio (Britt Lomond).

Just before reaching California, Diego learns of the tyranny of Captain Monastario, and realizes that his father, Don Alejandro, summoned him to help fight this injustice. Although he won medals for his fencing back in Spain, Diego decides that his best course of action is to conceal his ability with a sword, and to affect the demeanor of a milquetoast intellectual rather than a decisive man of action. His alter ego, Zorro operates primarily at night, taking the direct action that Diego cannot. This deception does not always sit well with Diego, especially as it affects his relationship with his disappointed father. In reality, Diego relies heavily on his wits, both with and without the mask on. Later in the series, Diego emerges as a respected figure in his own right, a clever thinker and loyal friend who just happens to be hopeless at swordplay.

He is typically portrayed as a dashing masked vigilante who defends the commoners and indigenous peoples of California against corrupt and tyrannical officials and other villains, helped by his mute servant Bernardo, played by Gene Sheldon (born Eugene Hume, February 1, 1908 – May 1, 1982), an American actor, mime artist, and musician.

The character's visual motif is typically a black costume with a black flowing Spanish cape or cloak, a black flat-brimmed hat known as sombrero cordobés, and a black sackcloth mask that covers the top half of his head. In Disney's Zorro television series the horse gets the name Tornado, which has been kept in many later adaptations. In most versions, Zorro keeps Tornado in a secret cave, connected to his hacienda with a system of secret passages and tunnels.

5) Addams Family (1964 - 1966)

The Addams Family is a close-knit extended family with decidedly macabre interests and supernatural abilities, though no explanation for their powers is explicitly given in the series. The wealthy, endlessly enthusiastic Gomez Addams (John Astin) is madly in love with his refined wife, Morticia (Carolyn Jones). riccardo jacobucci omg, what an excellent name.. now i'm wondering if there's any special significance behind it? i'd also be curious to hear any headcanons for his general background/family/early life, if you have them 👀

OH MAN anything specific you wanna know?? i actually have been working on a whole character lore sheet/timeline for rikki so i’ll def share some stuff from that in a second.

as far as his name goes, i wanted something that sounded basic but believable since his stage name is so silly. like i wanted something that sounded like A Real Name that would spawn a stage name like rikki kixx, as well as something italian since his namesake is italian (nikki sixx). more specifically though i think rikki is of sicilian descent. also “jacobucci” itself comes from the surname “iacobucci” which is based on the name jacob from the bible, and that guy is known for his deception and trickery in his stories. just thought that was a funny detail. anyways i’ll copy some stuff from my lore sheet heheh

Born and raised in Las Vegas, went to college in the area and left for LA when he was about 23 or so. Majored in communications and was hoping to get into acting. He was also a skilled singer and musician, and though he saw it more as a hobby, he found a lot of success with the gigs he was playing for extra money. While it wasn’t his first choice, he was soon signed to a label and broke out into the industry as a singer first, actor second. Released some popular albums during this time, and was quickly becoming a household name. He was also able to snag some acting parts in some shows around then. Perhaps his biggest TV acting break came in the form of hosting a show in 1999 to about 2002. It was a reality/game show that helped establish him as not only a musician, but a TV personality as well. This was the beginning of the end for his popularity, though, as by 2003, Rikki was becoming more infamous for his drunken outbursts, DUIs, and arrests.

30 Days of Carry On

(I’m doing most of these at once because I said so. it’s long so under the cut)

1. Favourite major character

I literally thought — Simon no Baz no Penny no, Agatha!

I guess I will pick Simon, since I relate to him the most — or at least, my connection to him led me into the fandom.

2. Favourite minor character

I think we all know this one 🐑🐑🐑

I have written many a treatise on Lamb Rights. I’ll spare everyone now

3. Character you relate to the most

Oops— I already answered this, kinda. I relate to them in different ways: I relate a lot to WS Simon because he has abandonment issues and “kid who was told he was extraordinary and then grew up to be ordinary” issues. We also both have a “fix all the things for everyone” complex, too.

Baz — It took me a while to get into Baz’s head, but I would say, I relate to him because of his intense emotional world and tendency to see the world through an intensely romantic/tragic lens. But also he’s a Pisces. and I’d never do that like a Pisces does. (Sorry, not sorry.)

4. Which character would you like to go to lunch with?

SHEPARD obviously. I don’t feel the need to elaborate.

5. Favourite non-Snowbaz ship

Ooh! Probably Lamb/Baz or Simon/Shep or just...literally anything. Like, I will read anything as long as it’s well written. The weirder the better. (Within...legal and moral limits.) in my other fandoms I’ve been a big multishipper and there’s not a lot of options for that in CO - which is fine - but wholeheartedly support rarepairs :D

6. Favourite non-romantic OTP

So, obviously Simon/Penny and Baz/Penny are great ones, but I think the nearest & dearest to my heart is Simon/Agatha. The kind of siblings/unwillingly dating/weird exes dynamic and the way they both shaped each other’s lives is just so interesting. And while Simon & Penny are closer, Agatha and Simon represent their aspirational selves to one another. And the way that they were both tied to one another along with their gender roles/places in society and both broke away at the same time is just...mwah

7. Favourite Baz outfit

I honestly dress kinda like Baz. Anything involving a printed silk shirt or a floral brocade suit, so like, all of them? I love WS Baz, his fashion sense is so thoughtful yet fun. He’s so expressive with it — in the sense of both being guarded, being sexy, and playing with masculinity/femininity.

8. How do you feel about Wayward Son?

In case it wasn’t obvious, I absolutely love it. I mean, from a writing/narrative standpoint, I don’t think it’s the most elegant or engaging book ever written, but it’s just so raw and fresh. I don’t see many examples of an author trying to do what Rainbow did, which is build a complex emotional AND plot-driven story with so many characters and so much lore. I’m very excited for AWTWB.

9. Favourite scene from Carry On, besides Chapter 61

I like what the book does/sets up overall. Honestly probably the first scene, where Simon walks to the bus stop & takes the train and just thinks about his life and makes lists -- I love Simon. I know Rainbow said she thinks that bit is boring, but it honestly says so much about his character in a short time. (and he’s an extremely complex character!) Also, Baz’s dramatic entrance. Also, the chapter where Baz says “and I’m hopelessly in love with him” because it’s just so dramatic, and it comes out of nowhere

10. Favourite scene from Wayward Son, besides Chapter 41

Baz and Lamb’s journey across the Strip - vampire lore, jealous Simon, Baz getting to be his own character— it’s beautiful.

11. Remind us about something in canon readers might have forgotten about

Ahahaha um. Simon says he thinks Baz’s cousin Marcus is fit. That’s pretty funny.

12. What are your hopes and fears for Any Way the Wind Blows?

I don’t have any hopes because I don’t want to be disappointed - and that’s not a cynical thing, I just want to go into it with an open mind. (I’ll take a break from fandom and reread the books beforehand so I’m (more of) a blank slate) I guess just...interesting emotional journeys, whatever that ends up being. There’s a lot that Rainbow has to do in the book and I don’t think any one person could get through all of it -- that’s why we have fanfiction.

Fears? I don’t know. I think just...the series ending. Even though I’ve been in fandom for less than a year I just really love this fandom & the thought of that kind of eroding away is sad. But also I don’t think that will happen immediately, and change is a part of life. I’ve never related as much to Cath as I do now :’)

13. An unpopular/cracky opinion you hold

unpopular: Lamb is the best character; I don’t want Simon to get his magic back; both Simon and Baz should have other romantic options.

14. Something from your head fanon

Hmmmmmmm well. Just mean things about Baz really. Like that he’s weird looking, not that great at football, and actually has kind of garish fashion sense. (which is a self-roast as well - see above.) I just feel like Simon/fandom put him on a pedestal, and Simon’s an unreliable narrator re: Baz anyway. So I like the idea that Baz is this average looking kinda strange nerdy guy who is everything Simon has ever wanted in life.

And before you tell me that Baz was hot at Watford and Agatha was into him, have you ever been to a tiny boarding school? Standards get weird 😂😂😂 and Terry being into him — come on. The guy’s a violent pervert.

also - back to Watford being a tiny school. Baz doesn’t have much competition to be the star of the football team. (also, does anyone except Simon even think that he is?)

I’m pretty bad at Watford lore/geography bc again, I’m way more into WS. Probably the floor in the Cloisters where everything happens the same way, just a day later. There’s a fic there, but I can’t wrap my head around all the time travel implications enough to write it.

18. What would be your favourite subject at Watford?

Any potions-esque subject because I loved chemistry lab. Latin because I loved Latin in school. Uhhhh I don’t like history class, so not that — maybe a literature course focused on the derivation of spells.

19. What would your magical implement be?

Ooh! This is a good one. I’d like to think it would be a weird body piercing. Or a belt a la Gareth. Maybe some kind of traditional south Asian jewelry, like a nose chain or mang-tikka or something. maybe a hat. like, imagine your magical instrument being a fedora and you just have to...wear a fedora all the time.

21. Favourite canon spell

Hm. Kiss it better? Candle in the wind?I should try to think of a non-horny one. honestly they’re all so cool and clever - I love the magic system in CO/WS.

22. What would your eighth year spell at Watford be or do?

Maybe something from a poem I love. That would probably be pretty but not very functional. Or a healing spell.

23. Who would you want as your roommate?

Agatha is uptight, Penny is passive aggressive, Simon is a slob, Baz is both uptight and passive aggressive.

Probably wouldn’t want a movie! Because I am way too possessive of these books/this version of the story. And I am historically extremely disappointed by adaptations — I get upset with the smallest of changes 😂

I read fangirl & the pages at the end mentioned carry on, so I read that, and enjoyed it but I wasn’t obsessed. Then I read WS spring 2020, reread it a bunch of times, reread CO, freaked out about the cliffhanger/cool vampire stuff/unresolved sexual tension, had pandemic cabin fever, got on AO3, and the rest is history.

As @annabellelux knows, I wrote my first (published) fanfic after reading her amazing fic Drop The Game. and the first fanfic I read was @captain-aralias’ Greener Grass. I was so obsessed that about a month later, I searched through the AO3 tags for it, because I couldn’t remember the title or author but kept thinking about it.

Day 1855: August 23, 2019

The Pioneer Saloon

This bar opened in the tiny town of Goodsprings, about half an hour southwest of Las Vegas, in 1913. It is probably the last real "old west" saloon left in the county, and still has the original bar. According to local lore, the classic Hollywood star Clark Gable once spent three days in 1942 drinking at the bar as he waited for word of whether his wife, the actress Carole Lombard, had survived a plane crash on Mount Potosi, which overlooks the town. Lombard, one of the biggest stars of her day, died in the crash at age 33 while returning to Los Angeles from a war bond tour. The dining room is now decorated with memorabilia of the two actors as a "memorial." Table 13 in this photo is the one at which a man was shot and killed over a poker game. The bullet hole is still in the wall.

This partial solar eclipse is dismissed by many as a minor event. Let’s expand and apply the Michaelic understanding to the story!

Remember the basics:

Solar eclipse: the moon sits between the Sun and the Earth. Happening with NEW MOON, therefore new beginnings.

Lunar Eclipse: Earth sits between the Sun and the Moon. Occurring during a full moon, thus triggering the subconscious mind, emotions, past, dreams.

Eclipses come in pairs, one for review, one for change. They provide for the trigger, either fate/timeline in your growth or an event, a person, a situation that will crystallize the movement.

If we think about the Lyra as Orpheus’s home, we must feel poetry and music. As you know, Vega, connected to Hermes and Apollo, is My home in this corner of the universe; while writing, my cells respond to Vega’s vibration.

According to the lore, Mercury made a Lyra and gave it to Orpheus who charmed humans and beasts with his wonderful music. After Orpheus death, Jupiter placed the Lyre in Heaven. In mid-October, researchers in California published a study of Civil War prisoners that came to a remarkable conclusion. Male children of abused war prisoners were about 10 percent more likely to die than their peers were in any given year after middle age, the study reported.

The findings, the authors concluded, supported an “epigenetic explanation.” The idea is that trauma can leave a chemical mark on a person’s genes, which then is passed down to subsequent generations. The mark doesn’t directly damage the gene; there’s no mutation. Instead, it alters the mechanism by which the gene is converted into functioning proteins or expressed. The alteration isn’t genetic. It’s epigenetic.

hi!! all of the stuff you post about pop'n looks really cool and i'm really interested in it now!! but i live in the US, and i can't speak japanese, so is there any way i'd be able to get into it?

Oh gosh! I don’t know if I’m the best person to ask for this but I’ll try.

Well, for starters, Pop’n Music 1-14 have home console versions for Playstation and Playstation 2 which are region-locked but I’m sure you can still buy them online and use an emulator that accepts Playstation discs (others have recommended swap magic). There’s also Pop’n Music Portable and Portable 2 for the PSP which represent 15 and 16. Those are not region-locked. Pop’n Music 20, Pop’n Music Sunny Park (21), and Pop’n Music Lapistoria (22) arcade games can be found in various parts of the US. I have played eclale (23) at Las Vegas before at Press Start but I don’t know if there are any other places in the US that have it. Not sure if Usagi to neko to shounen no yume (24) is around. You can search for arcade games in your area here. As a sidenote, the arcade games keep most playable songs and all character from previous versions (removed songs tend to be licensed Anime/J-pop songs)

I don’t think there’s too much concern about which game you start with. All Pop’n games seem to be mostly the same game but with a different aesthetic, roster of songs and characters (or if we’re referring to the arcade games, just the previous game’s roster but with more stuff.) There are gameplay improvements in newer games though that you’ll feel spoiled on, especially when you go back to older games. I think the only noteworthy thing to say is that Lapistoria is when Pop’n started to adopt the anime-ish artstyle for the character portraits. The older Pop’n games also have a significantly more western, American-ish feel than the newer ones which feel much more Japanese pop culture-ish.

As for lore, there isn’t much in Pop’n. Lapistoria has a story mode and other games have song unlock methods that involve characters interacting with each other. Most Pop’n lore is just character biographies and implications from animations. Other notable facts would be that the character MZD is the god of the Pop’n world pretty much (and possibly inspired by the developers of the first Pop’n game being called MZD Design) and Mimi and Nyami are the series mascots (whose appearances drastically changed in Lapistoria.) Also characters in the Pop’n world compete or battle with each other through Pop’n battles (which are basically the rhythm game we are always playing).

I can’t really think of much to help with the lack of Japanese skills. The western Pop’n fanbase isn’t that large and don’t really make translation projects like the fanbases for Mother and Puyo Puyo. There are wikis out there though. There is a Pop’n Music game for the Wii that was released in the US but they changed the songlist in the US release and many fans consider it a black sheep in the franchise. It might be difficult to get into Pop’n without basic Japanese knowledge.

Oh! I should also mention Pop’n is part of an even bigger franchise called Bemani, which is a bunch of different rhythm games by a company named Bemani that is owned by Komani. They tend to borrow songs, crossover characters, and reference each other a lot. It kind of reminds me of Shin Megami Tensei in that regard. If anyone has anything else to add, please do so!
