HEAVY MONGOL LAMELLAR LANCER
The heaviest armour the Mongols wore in the 13th century was metal lamellar for horse and rider. Lamellar is made of many small, metal plates (lamelles) pierced with holes. Through each of these holes, string (silk in some cases) was run through it. And so on and so on, until achieving rows of metal plates strung together. The final result is a flexible and durable amour.
Both man and horse could be adorned in it, though the historical sources are rather clear this was how the wealthy dressed for war. It was a lot of material to cover both man and horse, and no small investment. Only a small percentage of the Mongol army was as well equipped as this, and we might speculate that was restricted to the khan, generals and bodyguards (keshig).
Note as well, that all Mongol cavalry (and most medieval cavalry in generally) were firstly horse archers. Even our most heavily armoured Mongol warrior's primary weapon was a bow.

Lamellar Pauldrons Set – 20 Gauge Steel
This set of Lamellar Pauldrons is an armored add-on to the Lord Of Battles Lamellar Torso Armor (LB25526); they can be laced and attached to the torso armor to upgrade its protection for the upper arm. The pauldrons are constructed from several rows of overlapping 20 gauge lamellar plates which are laced together with durable leather cord and framed in durable leather edging.
A series of tabs and leather laces allow for the pauldrons to be laced onto the middle tab of the shoulder armor. The leather laces at the bottom of the pauldron can be used to tie around the arm to ensure it moves in sync with the arm. You may need to single up a cord to get enough length for this purpose – a simple knot in the end of a leather cord can be used as a stopper to prevent it from pulling through a round slot. You may find that you have extra laces that are not needed to install these shoulder armor pieces onto your torso armor. The torso armor has two additional tabs in the armpit area which can link up with the pauldron armor. You may or may not find these useful and may need to experiment to create the optimal set up for you and your needs when adding this additional armor.
Please Note: This armor is photographed with it attached to lamellar torso armor. This is done for demonstration purposes only. The torso armor is sold separately.

It’s no Wonder Water. I bought this Drybar Liquid Glass Instant Glossing Rinse so that I could see if it smelled better than Wonder Water and worked the same. The formulas seem similar: both of them coat your hair with a polymer to make it shiny and smooth. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Guess what? Drybar Liquid Glass smells amazing. LIke a vanilla-patchouli-cedar, but very light on the vanilla. Just a bit of sweetness from it and it's so much of an improvement from the Wonder Water, which probably doesn't bother me as much as it bothers some of you, but it doesn't really smell great. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Liquid Glass is $44 for 236mL, Wonder Water is usually around $10 for 200mL so year, the Wonder Water is way cheaper, but it's good to know what the other options are if you're sick of how it smells. It might be my bias, but I STILL think that the Wonder Water works the best when it comes to smoothing your hair and making it look flawless. Blowouts seem to be smoother and last longer, and in terms of consistency, the Drybar product is a little thicker. #wonderwater #thedrybar #liquidglass #lamellar #lamellarwater #sephora #sephoracanada #lorealparis #lorealwonderwater #drugstorebeauty #drugstoredupes #dupealert https://www.instagram.com/p/CndCxnzPMgp/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Mayumi, my warsmith / death dancer for an upcoming gubat banwa game I'll be playing!
They're a bearfolk who used to be a normal bear but got cursed into this form at an early age. They've not regretted it a single instant (the opposable thumbs is a major plus).
