Sometimes I think about how Kayano lost the most important person in her life, became full of hatred and grief, willingly hurt herself with tentacles for around 9 months, tried to fix things last minute because she thought everything was her fault only to die, got brought back to life, then immediately lost another person who was important to her, and now she has to live with that???
After everything’s over, she’ll probably arrive to an empty home. Her mother is dead, her father is absent and likely never here, and she’ll never see her big sister again. She’ll start high school separated from her new family, the E class, and she’ll probably have to put up a front again to cope with everything except there’s no revenge in mind this time.
Just grief.

Comprehensive Guide For Assassination Classroom Content
Because it's pretty hard to find a straight up list of it all. Please note that whilst I believe this is accurate, I was not involved in the fandom whilst the series was active and so could reasonably miss something.
Core Content
Assassination Classroom manga as serialised in Shounen Jump. If you buy the physical volumes, there's a bit of additional content between chapters, most notably introductory character profiles.
Assassination Classroom anime (some count seasons 1 and 2 as separate entities)
Assassination Classroom Meeting Time - an animated short featuring Korosensei and Karasuma's first meeting.
Assassination Classroom Extra Curricular Lessons - adaptations of a couple of manga chapters that weren't in the show itself. I'll just link a playlist here. Fun fact this is where Nagisa gets hit by a chair (lowkey he deserved it)
Additional Content
365 Days Movie. This isn't 'canon' as it's an anime original thing. There's no official English release that I know of. Honestly the movie is mostly a series recap, and only features Karma and Nagisa in new scenes. It's only really worth watching if you especially ship them as there's only maybe 10 minutes of actual content (and most of that is just montage, you can get the gist with this)
Roll Call Book - this was published mid manga run. It's mostly just a bunch of bonus content particularly character based. No official English translation exists, but snippets are easy enough to find online.
Graduation Album - as the name implies, it accompanies the end of the manga. About half of it is an art book, but there's extra character information especially about their post graduation lives. Crucially it includes a few manga shorts which extend past the actual canon ending.
Korotan A, B, C, and D plus Korosuu. They're mostly just Assassination Classroom themed text books (Seriously. My actual university book store sold them.) Korotans are for English vocabulary, Korosuu is for maths. Notably each book also contains a light novel (sometimes these are just referred to as 'the light novels'). It is debatable how canon these are as Matsui didn't write them, but he was involved through illustrating and overseeing the writing. Korotan D is especially debated because it's post canon content set when 3E are 18, but there's a small 'it was all a dream' implication right at the end of the book. Personally speaking I take them as full canon.
Official Spin Offs
The live action movies (part one and two). They change a lot of plot so I place them more in the spin off area. Easily skippable.
Korosensei Quest Manga (otherwise known as Koro Q) - a spin off gag manga set in a fantasy/video game inspired universe. This is not canon (unfortunately) and as far as I understand Matsui isn't involved in it. There's an implication of the idea it's Fuwa's own manga creation. Overall there are four volumes but there's no official English version (though fan scans aren't hard to find).
Korosensei Quest Anime - lightly based on the Koro Q manga. This is only a short 10 episode series though, and was complete long before the original, as such only the first few episodes are actual adaptations and it starts doing its own thing. All voice cast return so that's neat.
The OVA - basically an early adaptation of the Kyoto arc. Link here. It was released in 2013 so predates the actual anime, and a lot of the voice cast are different.
White day shorts featuring Karma, Maehara, and Nagisa - posted on official website as an otome game parody for promotion. Included because they're voice acted.
The 3DS games. They're region locked as far as I understand, and there's no translation of them. You can find it dumped if you know what you're doing with emulators, I've only played a few minutes of it myself.
The app game - no longer available. It was a gatcha tie in game featuring a variety of character illustrations.
Various merch lines and related illustrations. There are far too many to list and new ones still come out sometimes.
As I said, I hope I covered everything but there's a good possibility something slipped my mind.

SHORT HAIR HAYAMI ??!?!?!!
Tumblr media
SHORT HAIR HAYAMI THE WORLD... how come i didnt notice that she had short hair in korotan d the first time. a bit of a self indulgent timeskip hayami post. not a perfect imitation of the ref but idc.. HEADCANONS : - i think shed wanna try branching out to other hair styles. so w yada, nakamura and haras advice/suggestions, she decides to cut her hair short - she plays it safe at first,, cutting it only just past her shoulder a lil bit. not too noticeable. and so she can envision it a lil better - accident happens while cutting and it ends up w her hair unwantedly wayyy shorter than intended - she doesnt grieve over the lost hair exactly, rather feels more upset by the fact that now itll attract attention and such - i think her girlfriends try to console her by saying like "dw itll grow back!!" but hayami doesnt rlly care abt it - i think yada would be attracted to short hair hayami............ its just Right - hayami feels a lil off looking into the mirror every morning but eventually she comes to like how it looks - "well.. i dont rlly mind it now" she says - i hc that shes tried a variety of styles in college as shes got more freedom then but the short hair is still her one of her favs as its a lot more convenient (also she looks kinda good w it..) - expectedly got a lot of attention at school for it, shes both kinda annoyed and flattered at how many ppl gush over her (mission failed successfully) - yada def has a field day taking pictures of a flustered hayami (delusional)

Korotan D Special: Test Taking Advice from Class E - Volume 4
Here’s the final installment of test-taking advice from Class E! This may be the last page of advice, but it’s just as solid as ever! A shame that not every student got their own advice column, but at least everybody made some kind of appearance.
Fuwa Yuzuki (during the test): I hold the key to keeping a calm mind during a test. To do so, you should run simulations and create a routine before the test.
Mimura Kouki (preparing for the test): I think it would be a good idea to preview the examination venue and confirm things overall. You should especially keep track of where things like bathrooms are. Also, you should prepare multiple travel routes to where you’re going.
Yada Touka (right before the test, or during the break period):  When you enter the testing venue, it might feel like all the other test examinees are smarter than you, but that’s definitely not true, so tackle that test with confidence!
Yoshida Taisei (during the test): This might sound obvious, but don’t fill in the wrong column on your answer sheet. It’ll be marked wrong if you do that on a  bubble sheet. As long as you’re careful, you’ll have nothing to worry about, right, Terasaka?
Itona Horibe (right before the test, or during the break period): Naturally, you won’t be able to look at your smart phone or any other kind of mobile phone during the test. Get a wristwatch so that you can keep track of the time. Also, don’t forget to turn off your smart phone or any other mobile devices so that you don’t get accused of cheating.
At the bottom of the page:
Akabane Karma: “Even if you finish early, it’s not like you can leave right away, so be sure to look over your work~”
I guess Terasaka has filled in the wrong column before ^^;
I like how Fuwa dramatically says she “holds the key” to something when she’s giving advice. I also like how Itona’s advice is technology-centric and how Karma’s basically telling the reader not to be lazy.

Hi Nagisa/Kayano shippers.
The issue of WSJ released in Japan this week has an ad for Korotan D in it. A preview illustration appears to show Nagisa and Kayano dancing together. I wonder what the other Class E kids are doing in their final year of high school.
Korotan D is out September 4th.

Reading your reblog of the Kaho/Retaliation arc got me thinking about how much I hated that Korosensei punished the entire class - even those who were responsible and didn't parkour, and forced everyone to abstain from studying for two weeks bc I hate it when authority figures and teachers punish an entire group for something only a few people did and screw over those who were innocent because guilt by association. Tbh I much prefer your idea to everyone getting screwed over. :/
YEAH!!! I have such a HUGE problem with that punishment too. Like seriously...it really upset me ngl.
I agree with you! That type of reasoning in school settings is infuriating, and I remember how upset I got when it applied to me in my younger grades. It just is so unfair...in the case of 3-E, more than half of them didn’t even participate I think. (I may be wrong)
The only part of this that I am semi-interested in...is the building of class drama and tension. Once again, the extroverted/assertive students of the class screwed over everyone, and I think that’s SO good for potential class conflict. Like the passive kids deserved to be rightfully pissed at them, honestly.
The biggest reason why this consequence upset me though was that Koro essentially dug them all graves by not letting them study. And that is beyond messed up to me because these kids go to a prestigious school. A competitive school. And majority of them have super strict/abusive parents. I don’t even want to think about the danger they could’ve been in had they flunked just because their teacher gave them a shitty punishment.
And it’s so scary because like?? They can’t even tell their family they failed the exam because of him!! He’s a government secret!! No one can know about the class and their activities! Hhhhhh it just makes me so stressed thinking about it :(
I just feel like the class definitely could have an arc about learning responsibility and maturity...but not like that, you know? This just felt so incredibly harsh and misdirected. And the whole class got impacted!!! If I were one of the kids who didn’t participate, I’d lose my shit on the class oh my god. I wonder why no one was mad at the kids who did parkour...or even the two boys who started it (Okajima and Kimura)
My ideal solution: use the kaho arc as a way for the class to get in over their head, make a mistake, and face a reasonable consequence. But really, I don’t mind the parkour arc...I just would get rid of that awful punishment, and have the class face a realistic conflict amongst each other.
Listen, 14 year olds can be PETTY. And in this situation, they’d have every right to hold a grudge against each other. And shhhh it’s not just me wanting entertaining drama lmao.
Also Fumiko brought this up: some of the kids who did the stupid parkour stuff were really ooc?? Like the sniper duo?? Isogai?? KATAOKA???! When would these kids EVER do something so stupid. I definitely would change up the lineup because this is not it lmao
^^Going back to class drama hehe: if you guys haven’t noticed, most of the biggest problems came from the assertive kids (I’m talking Group 1 + 2 mainly)
Exhibit A: The Retaliation arc. To be fair, it was mainly Maehara’s friends and whoever was there who were pissed but still....they definitely led this little problematic mission.
Exhibit B: The Irina incident. This one fucks me up so much and I could write a whole post on it separately. This was a bit of the whole class but once again: the assertive kids led it through. They have the biggest influence in the class. Like no way Group 3 for example would be like, “Uhhhhh hey let’s mess with Bitch-sensei’s love life lmao”
Exhibit C: The Parkour incident. Enough said.
Oops forgot but: Exhibit D: THE SKIRT-PEEKING ROBOT UGH
And just in general I feel like these kids would be the ones to lead things they shouldn’t be doing...like stalking people/classmates...(cough cough Korotan c cough cough they did my man Shuu dirty)
The assertive kids hold the biggest influence in the classroom, it’s their voices that will be heard above all others. That certainly changed a bit towards the end of the series when they came together more, but it still holds truth.
It would have been so goddamn interesting if we had a realistic class conflict in which the more passive members of the class finally spoke up, and brought up the unfairness.
I’m getting so off-track hahaha. But yeah basically these are my thoughts. I 100% agree with you.
Also....can we talk about how Koro slapped those kids.... like that came out of nowhere.....
He didn’t wanna touch Takaoka who was actively beating children, but he slapped his kids who accidentally injured an old man...like ok Koro 💀
(For the record I love Korosensei. I just get so confused by the inconsistencies in his teaching lmao, esp in this arc)

Hi hi out of curiosity who exactly is puey? I’d never heard of him before seeing your art despite engaging with a ton of assclass content over the years and I think (?) he’s not an oc based off some of the panels you’ve posted. Am I just like. Forgetting his existence or smth? Sorry if this is a weird question shdhdhhdhd
So AssClass has this series of school textbooks called Korotan and like you'd expect from textbooks, they're meant for educational purposes and in this case, it is to teach English.
There are four Korotan books (from A to D) and each book contains a spin-off novel set in between canon events. Each novel always had something to do with learning the English language or simply becoming more proficient at it. The novels weren't written by Matsui but he did give them the green light and even drew the accompanying illustrations himself.
Puey is from the Korotan B novel, which took place just after Leader time and before the parkour incident. He's a young southeast asian assassin who was sent to kill Koro-sensei, and temporarily became a 3-E student when he failed his first attempt. His story is all about learning to communicate better with others, trusting his companions and combining strengths with everyone when he finds himself struggling. Isogai and Chiba practically adopted him lol.
And speaking of those two, there was a moment in korotan B that severely convinced me that Chiba had a crush on Isogai.
He's very much a canon character since he came and went, that his story didn't leave any weird shifts in the actual pacing of the series.
Puey... had a lot of racist undertones in the way he was portrayed in the original korotan b novel, even if you add the headcanon that he's part of a tribe.
And as a southeast asian myself, I simply went crazy with the headcanons and the pinoy-coding just to be comfortable in making fan content of him, since it's not everyday you'd find a SEA character in the series you adore.
Aside from the Korotan books, there's also the Korosuu, which is the sole math textbook. Same format and everything.
Scroll down to the bottom of this masterlist I made a while back to see all the translated novels if you're curious 💕

Now I shall put some of my favorites of the unfinished art from the 100 Kayano Days challenge. [Rubs hands together]
These are all in order from old to new, from September 2022 to January 2023.
Tumblr media
It's a hot day. Karma: "I want cuddles, and I can't cuddle Akari (she'd kill me). So..." Nagisa: "You're too hot." Karma: "I know I am." Nagisa: "YOU KNOW THAT'S NOT WHAT I MEANT!!" Karma: "Cuddle time." Nagisa: "IT'S 31 C!!! AKARI, HELP!!" Akari: "Sorry Nagisa! I have another love to attend to. You're on your own."
(Lol the dialogue is kinda off but I like what I was trying to go for.)
Tumblr media
Aguri lives AU but at what cost. Akari is this 🤏 close to losing it.
Tumblr media
Adults Kayano, Kanzaki, and Karma went to that one cafe that was doing that collaboration with a popular video game.
Tumblr media
GoM AU, with Akari slowly turning into an antimatter creature. It took a long time for her to transform, and there was no cure to stop this. It wasn't fun, but at least her friends were there for her.
Tumblr media
Kayano and Akari, Deemo AU, based on that one art for ANiMA from the game.
Tumblr media
Okay, THIS one I still like a lot. It takes place in the Okinawa arc, and the concept was that there'd be a montage where each student would use Korosensei's Ultimate Defense Form as a blunt weapon to knock out all of the guards. And then end with Karasuma taking out Takaoka the same way.
Tumblr media
GoM AU again. Nagisa excitedly shows off one of his partners. ...and yes I made antimatter Akari 10 feet tall. :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Surprise Koro Q! Based on that one episode from the anime. Imagine if the transformation was permanent.
Tumblr media
Baby shark doo doo doodoodoodoo...onesie.
Tumblr media
Shirt reads: "I am completely normal and not insane I have no desire to harm anyone I am not carrying a weapon." I like the potential chaotic vibes in NagiKae. They're besties.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eldritch AU!!! Context: some of the 3E students are eldritch beings, and Kayano is the reincarnation of an ancient being that ruled a whole other dimension filled with other eldritch monstrosities, which she can summon. This AU gave me so many brain worms, yet not enough to help me finish any of them. 😩
Tumblr media
I have a bleak zombie apocalypse AU. Takes place after their high school graduation, probably after the events of Korotan D? Kayano's half-infected, Nagisa's a zombie, Karma has severe head trauma that he can't fix and it's making him go wack, and Gakushuu's trying to keep everything together.
Tumblr media
I wanted to draw more than one birthday art for Akari and this was one of them. Just her and her big sister...
Tumblr media
This one was gonna be a prank. Forgot about it though LOL.
Tumblr media
The concept was Kayano arriving in limbo, dazed, after getting killed. But Aguri tells her to go back. It's not time yet.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aberration AU. Takes place 4 years after canon, right around the time they're in college. The monster behind them is basically both of them. Their memories and DNAs make up the monster. Kayano and Nagisa are unhealthily codependent after being kidnapped and used as experiments for...3 years. 😐 But it's okay. They eventually get rescued and get therapy.
Tumblr media
Kayano twins AU. I was gonna draw a short comic about the twins but I had to give up because I was struggling for some reason. (Why is this pic so LONG???)
Tumblr media
One of the Christmas/Karma birthday ideas. It'd have Karushuu kissing under a mistletoe. Kayano's just here for the desserts, man.
Tumblr media
Eldritch AU. This would be a sequel to Day 88, featuring Kanzaki (she's a time god) instead, but I didn't have enough motivation to finish it.
Tumblr media
This is just Day 93, but Aguri and Korosensei were supposed to be there with her, along with the rest of group 4!! But I ran out of time.
Tumblr media
And finally, this is another limbo situation where the Yukimura sisters would hug each other one last time. But then I thought it was too sad and went for the "Aguri lives" ones.
If you made it all the way to the end, then WOW thanks for reading!! Hope y'all liked reading about my thoughts! There are actually more arts that are unfinished but those are like...really messy lol.

A Kinda Ugly Visual of Where Your Favorite Class E Students Appear in Korotan D So That You Don’t Need To Search The Whole Thing For Your Fave
Whew, what a long title for this post...
I know it’s a little weird to post this now since I translated Korotan D a year ago, but if any of you are ever itching to reread the parts of Korotan D which have your favorite characters in them, this is the chart for you! It’s not so helpful if you’re looking for chapters where, say, Kayano or Karma appear since they are mentioned every chapter (though you can see that the two are less relevant in chapter 3), but it’s helpful if you want to know which chapters have Itona, Kimura, Okuda (who only appears in one chapter (。•́︿•̀。)), or some other Class E student who’s not a member of the RGB trio.
To make this, I simply opened up the word doc with my translation of Korotan D and used ctrl+f to find all mentions of each character’s name and input it into an Excel spreadsheet. Mentions don’t necessarily mean the character appears (Karasuma, Irina, and, of course, Korosensei never show up in person), but for the students, mentions and appearances have a strong correlation.
Just some of my observations:
It’s interesting to see that Kayano’s name is mentioned even more often than Nagisa’s. It really is the book for Kayano fans.
Korosensei’s name pops up a remarkable number of times considering that he has zero dialogue. The students are really keeping him in their memories.
It’s weird to see how often Okajima gets mentioned compared to rest of the class. He was, at least, more than just a pervert in this novel.
The author is definitely not giving Hayami, Fuwa, or Hara the love they deserve > : (
I hope this chart is readable...
