there’s something about sibling relationships in asoue/atwq that is just,,, unique, for lack of a better word. or maybe wholesome. because most siblings in the snicketverse are like,,, in threes. the snickets. the baudelaires. the denouments. the quagmires. hell, even the white-faced women. it probably means something. i’m too tired too figure out what. it’s just something about them. like i could maybe analyse them tomorrow when i’ve had a good night’s sleep but for now have some of my ramblings.

Dunklaus 'head-canon' post to make up for my terrible posting habits on ao3:

Post-canon Klaus becoming obsessed with reading the paper. Violet is suspicious about this, since Klaus was never a particularly avid reader of the newspaper. He'd keep up to date on things, of course, but he wouldn't obsessively buy the paper everyday and spend entire days studying it. He also would not spend thirty minutes in front of the paper stand each morning lamenting on which one to buy as if his life was on the line at the choice he made. After months of his peculiar behaviour, she confronts him - and all he has to say is that love makes you do weird things.

Of course, this only makes her more confused, but Klaus refuses to elaborate, no matter how hard she bribes him with incentives of pretty hardcover books, opera tickets and trips to his favourite café.

It is only one month later, when she sees him jump out of his seat at the name "Quinn G.C. Damen" credited to a very well-written article in the Daily Punctilio that she realises her brother is still in love with their journalist friend that they lost many, many years ago.

no cause im literally crying about the quagmire triplets rn. like, they are TRIPLETS!!! and then they got separated and quigley was alone and he must have been so lonely and scared and he must have missed the others so much! and duncan and isadora at least had each other, but they didn’t know about quigley!!! they must have missed him, been so scared when he wasn’t there with them anymore! i am crying!!! that is terrible and its so sad! the baudelaire’s story is sad as well, but the quagmires are triplets! they were probably very close! im a twin myself and just thinking about getting separated like that makes me wanna curl up an die, because we are so close, way closer than our other siblings despite us all being very close, and i dont know if being a triplet is the same way but im sure that they were terrified and so so sad, and im sad!
