Especially with "rare" or underacknowledged experiences I feel like maybe the whole obsession with validation thing is too much. It's shallow, and it introduces no value to the nonhuman community. An unusual demographic, like, idk, flamingo therians, are going to benefit a lot more from ONE flamingo just posting shit about its experiences and identity in the tags than they will from a thousand users who aren't even birds posting "Shoutout #45: Flamingokin exist!" and making pink pride flags and shrimp themed stimboards. Reign me in if this is too blunt but we will only find nonhuman community by actually talking about ourselves as nonhumans, not by note farming.

Even if you're pretty sure you're the only one here of your species. Ok, you're a Megatherium, and you've never even seen your kind mentioned before, and it's so cool that someone has included giant ground sloths in a mile-long list of "who's valid" (that ends in "any everyone else!" anyway). But what do you think you're getting out of a single shoutout to your species from someone who's not a member of it, doesn't know anyone who is, and doesn't even know for sure they're speaking to a real audience at all because they don't know you exist and just threw it in there because they heard of them in a book?

there have been plenty of updates to this site that users haven’t liked; the change to the post stack, most famously, that makes long posts actually readable instead of getting infinitely smaller. sometimes people just dislike change because it’s change. adding tumblr live was horrible, and against the law in most of the world, and most of us hate it, but we can just click to make it go away. functionally, it doesn’t change much of the site.

but this recent change has actually actively taken away functions of this site that, to me at least and to most people i know, are literally used daily and are somewhat crucial to the enjoyment and ability to navigate the site???

yes, i have seen that post about how clicking the box takes you to the prev-- it only works One Time. you can’t follow a chain. and not to mention, it does not give you access to a link, meaning you can’t open it in a new tab, meaning you need to lose your place in scrolling if you want to even see it.

i have seen SO MUCH backlash over these changes, and yet they’re not being taken away and in fact are being extended to places like the search tab??

this is kind of just a rant so don’t take me too serious but holy shit i’m really frustrated because this genuinely fucks up a lot of how i use tumblr as a stimboard maker and a post archiver, because it makes it so much harder to find original sources to credit. i’m sure it fucks shit up for a lot of other users too.

it’s so so frustrating to see such a large amount of the userbase backlash against this and to then just be essentially ignore or rolled over.

i feel like at this point we’d have to organize some kind of strike to be taken even a little seriously. which is literally fucking ridiculous.

the reason suselle fans are freaking out about the Susie Not Even Noticing Noelle Is There in the newsletter... it's because they're starved for content too!

people have likely emotionally registered the lack of content, but because noelle is enough romance for 20 people and makes any scene she's in feel romantic even when susie is just standing there, and because they like the ship and seem to put a lot of emotional stock in it happening (likely because they identify with it personally which i cannot fault anyone for, even as much as i dont like suselle) they take any scene with noelle and susie in the same room as food!

i've been so fascinated by the discrepancy between the actual newsletter, featuring noelle trying to approach susie to offer a valentines card, but susie not noticing her, and noelle running away the second susie flinches, and the fanart depicting susie nervously blushingly offering her OWN valentine, and the way people take it as food!

i was shocked earlier to see susie's cotton candy sprite from ONE OF THE MOST RALSUSIE SCENES IN THE GAME on a SUSELLE FERRIS WHEEL STIMBOARD.

it's so strange, how can these people act like their ship is a fact of life, totally inevitable, completely canon and susie is a lesbian who loves noelle, and then turn around and use sprite from other people's ship fuel for their stimboard, completely misunderstand susie as a character, and collectively fabricate a version of the newsletter where susie DID notice noelle and had the same romantic feelings as her?

and i can't think of a better reason than this, that suselle fans are just as, if not more starved for content than the rest of us, because there just really isn't a lot of good food for them. 3 unique lines of dialogue and one scene, which they have to keep talking about, keep going over again and again, using sprites from scenes where susie is having fun with ralsei in their stimboards, inventing a version of that scene in their minds where susie was having the time of her life, where the two of them held hands and it was like a scene out of a romcom, hyping up a gif from a newsletter as food which in reality depicts exactly the same non-food dynamic we see them in all the time, where noelle obsesses over susie, and susie fails to notice. this isn't normal ship behavior, is it?!

im not saying suselle definitely isn't going to happen, because it certainly kinda looks like it will, but i am saying that the continuous need to fabricate suselle material in order to maintain the hype combined with the absolute confidence people have in it confuses me, and that when i look at suselle, i see a familiar trope of a main character being obsessed over by a secondary character (i mean secondary not in the sense that noelle isn't important, but in the sense she isn't literally on the screen for 3/4 of the game, and isn't part of the main group of 3) with the main character being totally oblivious.

the need to fabricate material to maintain hype, the overconfidence in it winning the future, and the refusal to see any of the flaws, combined with the way some people harass disbelievers, accusing them of being phobic, reminds me of crypto!

the only explanation i can come up with for the discrepancy is that they are starved for a real win, and are taking anything they can find as food. why they have this crypto-like group, i can't say. i dont know why people put so much stock in this ship. if anyone who likes suselle who read this post wants to tell me why they like the ship, i very much would like to hear it!

even if i might act kind of jerkish sometimes, i really do want to have a legitimate discussion about these things.

I recognized the first gif you asked for by the look of it, it is from this gifset by @/heartnosekid. I know Ish linked a tumblr post that has reposted the original video with the proper source attached and linked correctly as his source for the gifs, but I wanted to make sure others didn't miss it if they intended to re-gif this video. Here is the original source of the video.

I also immediately recognized the second gif you asked for, it's from this gifset by @/talos-stims.

I checked the rest of your sources, I hope that's okay. I just like to be thorough when I do this for someone.

As for any indirect links you used as sources, the direct sources for those are listed below, if you wish to change them. I do this only because stimboard makers that aren't gif makers who regularly make gifs tend to delete, rename, or deactivate their accounts much more often than gif makers themselves, and when that happens, the source typically gets lost or at least much more difficult to find for the average stimboard maker, creating a broken link chain to the original undeleted source.

Gif 3, Gif 5 (original video), Gif 6, Gif 7 (original video seems to have possibly been deleted or relocated, gif source is good for others to use, however).

Modern AU! Leatherface Headcannons

Probably just gonna do Bubba first 😼 and then Thomas.

- Now that online shopping is a thing, Bubba can order materials for her arts and crafts, (non human) masks and maybe a few wigs, for their mask collection, and some makeup!

- Bubba is a little fashionista, so there’s gonna be online shopping galore! Pretty floral dress? BUYING IT! Cute shoes? BUYING IT! New tuxedo? BUYING IT! He doesn’t bother to check the sizes, they don’t actually know their size, so most likely some of it doesn’t even fit. Eventually Drayton would have to chastise Bubba for wasting so much money on clothes. Money doesn’t grow on trees Bubba!!!

-Bubba can’t really step out into civilisation, it would be too overwhelming for them, plus Drayton wouldn’t trust ANYONE, with his truck. So Bubba is usually just inside the house or walking around near his house. So online shops and videos really help her feel like she’s not alone.

-Bubba feels more in tune with her feminine self then her masculine self, hence the pretty lady and granny masks. She prefers she/her pronouns but doesn’t mind he/they. Not like they other sawyers really care all that much, unfortunately for Bubba.

-Don’t let Bubba on the internet for too long! Bubba can be easily influenced, and they once stumbled across some crazy, conspiracy videos, and Drayton (very aggravated) had to tell the frightened boy that aliens don’t exist and aren’t trying to turn their brain into mush. So Bubba has a two hour time limit on her iPad!!!

-Stimboards, and ASMR videos and sensory bins! The sounds of crunching, squishing, popping and the feeling of grainy, squishy, hard and soft things, put Bubba at ease. It’s one thing Bubba can distract themselves with, instead of hearing yelling and being overwhelmed by everyone. Bubba made herself a bin with her arts and crafts, when she had found videos about them on her feed.

-Bubba is still the clueless soul she is, but because of the internet, it’s kind of made her a little bit more aware. And instead of only knowing about killing, providing for the family, makeup, bones etc, her mind, knowledge and opinions have expanded.

-The family aren’t made of money, which is why they turned to cannibalism, as a way to put food on the table. So the only expensive gift Bubba received, was an old, second-hand iPad, that Drayton may or may not have took from one of the victims.

-Digital art? WOW! Bubba loves drawing on her iPad, she’s horrible at it, but that won’t deter her from drawing a butterfly, or a flower, or a detailed drawing of the corpse of one of his victims. 😸 last part was a joke, but because Bubba is literally a child trapped in a ruthless killers body, it wouldn’t be surprising.

-Her perverted older brothers had sultry porno magazines lurking around, that he’d occasionally take a sneak peak in, and cover his eyes and run away, squealing in excitement and nervousness at the sight of boobies. However, they never knew a website dedicated to boobs and butts existed! Catching Nubbins in the act of watching that content, she got curious and wanted to search it up and see. She later got questioned by Drayton as to why her search history is filled with: ‘bobs’ ‘ass’ ‘secks’ ‘peanits’.

-YouTube shorts watcher.. don’t flame her, it’s just easy watchable content! She loves watching the short cooking videos, it’s the best. But it gives her the munchies…

-As Bubba has more materials, then just skin and bones, the house looks a little more homely. Random colourful fabrics just placed, in every nook, and cranny, giving it a pop of colour. Bubba also learned how to knit, through videos, and now can make knitted jumpers and cushion cases!

-Noise Cancelling headphones! Really helpful when she doesn’t want to deal with her brothers’ bullshit. Also great to block out any unwanted noise that’ll distress and anger Bubba.

-Bubba has a plethora of plushies, some old, some new, some big and some small. All cheep however, money doesn’t grow on trees Bubba!!! They help him feel accompanied during the night, plus they’re just so darn cute! She named the ugly one Drayton, the one with a ripped hole in its head Chop-Top, and the dirty one Nubbins, the brothers don’t know that however. Bubba wouldn’t want to upset anyone so they don’t tell them.

Hey there!! I think i want to start making stimboards, but i personally cannot make gifs for multiple reasons, unless you know a good phone app or if IBIS can make gifs !!

Do you have any suggestions and tips ?

Are there blogs that don't mind using their GIFs as long as credit is somewhere ? Or is that typically frowned upon anyway?

I wanna be respectful so i understand if this means i cannot make stimboards until I'm able to make gifs myself :3

Hi!! The way I personally make my gifs is through using ezgif, and I’m fairly sure a bunch of other stimboard makers use this website too because it’s very convenient and free. Just submit the video you want to gif (not the whole thing, just a trimmed section of what u wanna gif), and it’ll convert it to a gif for you. Make sure to credit the original video if you post a gif of it, though, as it’s really important to give credit to the source

As for reusing gifs other people have made, pretty much all of the time it’s going to be okay to use someone’s gif in a stimboard, as long as credit it’s given. In fact, most people in the stim community on tumblr make gifs with the intent of them being used in stimboards. Some really great blogs that make a lot of original gifs to be used in boards that I go to a lot are @/talos-stims, @/heartnosekid, @/helium-stims, @/aliens-stim-too. There are a lot of other good ones too, but there are a few just to get you started.

You don’t have to specifically search a blog to find gifs though. Using the main tumblr search function you can type what you’re looking for, just include the tag “stim” in your search, and a lot of stuff will come up. You can use gifs that someone else has used in a stimboard, too. Just try your best to follow their sources to the original creator, and link it directly to there instead of the stimboard you took it from. A lot of stimboard blogs get deleted, which can lead to your link to the board becoming defunct in the future and that credit being lost for people down the line trying to source a gif.

If you’re making a gif of an animation or using a piece of art someone has drawn, that’s when you want to directly ask someone for permission. Most artists don’t mind as long as credit is given, but it’s important to check. If it’s a big artist that you can’t send asks to or contact in some way, just make sure to tag them in the post of the stimboard, that way if they can see you’ve reposted their art somewhere, and they can reach out to you if they don’t want it there.

The most important thing when it comes to all this is just to source your gifs. Copy the links in the notes app on your phone, a google doc, I personally do it on a discord channel, it doesn’t matter, just make sure you have SOME kind of credit to the gifs in your stimboard linked below your post. Don’t stress too much about messing up the first couple of times though, you get better at it and you can always go back and fix stuff later.

Hopefully this helps and wasn’t too much of a ramble. I’ve been thinking about making a sort of guide on my process of making boards actually, but haven’t gotten around to it since idk if anyone would be interested. Anyways that’s all

How I make stimboards!

This is gonna be long so I'll put it under a cut.

Step 1: Choose your theme. I'm going to make a board for one of my favorite Wii games, Zack and Wiki.

Step 2: Think about what kinds of gifs you want. I like to have a few ideas in advance which makes things easier for me. Zack likes chocolate so I'll try to find some chocolate-themed gifs. They're pirates so I need lots of piratey things. I also want to include some game footage so I'll have to make those gifs myself.

Step 3: Type what you want into the Tumblr search bar, followed by "stim". "Pink kidcore stim", "Pirate stim", "Blue slime stim", etc.

The cool thing about using other people's boards for inspiration is that you can find a lot of cool gifs that you didn't even think to look for!

Step 4: Once you find a gif, go as far in the sources as you can. The maker of this board didn't link the original source so I followed the chain until I reached a board with no sources:

Unfortunately, this leads to a bunch of uncredited gifs. It's common curtesy to credit your gifs, so I try to avoid crediting people who didn't credit gifs themselves. However, looking farther down on the first search page shows that more people have used the gif I want. Following a different source chain, I go until I reach a deactivated blog.

So I can't find the original source of the gif, but crediting somebody who at least credited their source is better than nothing.

Step 5: Here comes another 'problem': this account doesn't have a .tumblr.com blog.

Which means that when I save a gif to my computer, there's a 99% chance that it's going to be a .webp file. I don't know the logic here but I do know that Tumblr doesn't accept .webp files when you're making a post. So I'm going to save the gif as a .webp file and visit my good friend, ezgif.com.

A few clicks later, I have a gif that Tumblr will actually let me use.

Step 6: Make sure to save the link to your source for later.

Step 7: For making my own gifs, I like to use giphy.com. The site is pretty self-explanatory but when you get this message after creating the gif:

Choose "Leave" or you'll be stuck on a loading screen forever. I found that out the hard way -_-

Step 8: Once you have 9 gifs/images, dump them all in the post maker:

It's time to make the board look nice, which for me means zoning out and going into a gif-dragging frenzy until I suddenly reach perfection. It's all about personal preference but I usually try to keep faster gifs in the bottom right, sky-related gifs near the top, and colors evenly spaced around the board. All I can say is: you'll know it when you see it. Okay, here I go!

Step 10: The gifs are all in their proper places and it's time to finish up the post!

Extra tip: Don't overexert yourself! If you find yourself getting motion sick after staring at gifs for too long, give yourself a break.

3. i love including stims of animals or bugs, especially cats and moths!! some more traditional stims i love to include are cake decorating, crystals, and nature related stims like sunsets, flowers, the moon, etc.

15. okay so. this is very specific. i’ve been wanting to make some gifsets and/or stimboards of ice carving and/or ice shaving. ya boy has an iron deficiency so i crave ice a lot of the time but i can’t always have it because my teeth aren’t very robust anymore, and seeing ice carving makes me want the leftovers, like please. save that leftover ice for me. i can actually eat shaved ice. i also have been planning on making a series of stimboards for my favorite moths and butterflies soon! edit: OH! also i plan on making a bunch of locked tomb stimboards when have the chance! i’ve been super hyperfixated and i wanna make a bunch of them!

25. oh hmm. i haven’t really thought too much about this one for myself. maybe touching certain slimes? i definitely have touched sticky slime before and it made me unreasonably uncomfortable but i do love watching people like. get the sticky leftovers of slime off their fingers. oh! also squishing certain kinds of stress balls really stresses (haha) me out, like if they’re too dense or not squishy enough, but i always love watching people squish stress balls!

!! realized i should have soooome kind of intro :0 i'll probably make a nicer one sometime but for now, hi ! im auggie ! i use he (primarily !!!!) / they (occasional), and am a multiply-disabled transmasc :)

this blog is gonna be for shifting, f/o, and sfw agere purposes, so please dni if you're against any of these :(

my main DR is an altered MHA universe with my s/o and caregiver kei <3 / hawks ! he's made these both such helpful coping tools, couldnt do it without him ^_^ im not sure ive actually shifted yet? but i lucid dream a lot, moooostly on accident, soooo trying to make those work out a bit better ;-;

my biggest interests right now are MHA (whole, and hawks specifically ofc!), genshin, baldurs gate 3, dnd/fantasy in general, aaaand calicos :) main long term special interests are greek mythology and apothecary stuff !

aaaaand agere-wise, im not rlly sure where i land atm ! its definitely somewhere on the older end, but the 'tsm kinda makes it hard for me to tell, rip. i mostly interact with stimboard / moodboard type shtuff over there anyways, but agere-specific posts will be tagged in case ur not interested in that content ! ^_^

i'm super excited to read abt new experiences n see other ppl gush about their own stuffs, its super heartwarming n comforting to know these things help nyall out too !!

30 Days of Agere: Day One

(If anyone can tell me who the question list belongs to, please let me know so I can credit them, this is just the one I’ve seen everywhere.)

1.) How did you get into agere?

So I actually started age regressing around when I was 16, and due to my poor memory I kind of forgot the exact details for how I got into this. That was over 6 years ago now so cut me some slack. However, I do remember that it was a chance tumblr post. It was either something had come onto my feed from someone I followed, or it had popped up in a tag I scrolled often, I’m not completely sure. It may have been because back then I frequented a lot of stimboard and moodboard blogs and those are pretty popular in the community. Either way that made me go “OOOOOOH OTHER PEOPLE EXPERIENCE THIS TOO????” and I dove head first into it.

Well, kinda.

I didn’t have a great caregiver back then (well, both of them, cuz I had two back then, but one was particularly bad) and I ended up kind of shoving age regression into a closet and attempting to suppress it, despite it being my main healthy coping mechanism. I thought me age regressing made me a burden on others and my need for it was something I needed to hide at all costs.

Things are thankfully different now. I have three great caregivers, and they make sure to make space and thoroughly encourage my age regression. They’ve helped a lot, and I’m currently working on incorporating age regression more into my daily life as I tend to struggle to slip most days.

Keep in mind, I’m obsessed with slime and love it on stimboards, so if you don’t want slime on your stimboard, please specify :)
