TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2023
Moving (2023, South Korea)
Directors: Park In Je & Park Younseo
Writer: Kang Full
Mini-review:
I enjoyed this so much. I must admit I struggled a bit with the first few episodes, but once the show gets its setup process out of the way, it becomes a very engrossing drama. It's both a superhero story with a big heart and a espionage thriller, and I just love how Moving manages to mix those two genres. The whole cast is great, both the veteran actors and the newcomers, and the production values are fantastic (although the CGI has some iffy moments here and there). The ending felt a bit rushed, but it was also very satisfying. There are also a few scenes that point to a possible second season or spin-off, and I really hope we get some sort of follow-up. After spending seven weeks with these characters, I know I'm gonna miss them.

500 Year-History of the Lee Dynasty’s Women (TBC, 1972~1980)
Plot of Season 3: Queen Inmok
Tumblr media
tl/dr; Another drama about Inmok in the West Palace
King Seonjo has Queen Ui In, his legal wife, but she has no children. The concubines fight among themselves to make their child the heir. When the Imjin War breaks out, Prince Gwanghae becomes the Crown Prince. But Seonjo is always displeased with him, as he is not a legitimate Prince. So, he selects Kim Je Nam's 19-year old daughter as the new Queen. She is Queen Inmok. Kim Je Nam pleads with her not to involve herself in the fight between Prince Gwanghae's Greater Northern Faction and the Lesser Northern Faction. She marries 53-year old Seonjo in his 35th year of reign, in the Taepyeong Hall. Their relationship is like that of a grandfather and his granddaughter, but it was a marriage they could not avoid.
Some time later, Queen Inmok gives birth to her first Princess and gets pregnant again, and Kim Gae Shi schemes to make her miscarry. A strange ghostly laugh echoes every night. But Inmok's Court Lady Byeon foils the plan, and the Prince is born. Seonjo names him Youngchang and selects his nanny. After having Youngchang, Seonjo becomes even colder to Gwanghae. He ostracizes Gwanghae, telling him "You're no longer the Crown Prince!" and sows resentment into his heart. At this time, the cunning Kim Gae Shi comes up with a plan and gives Seonjo glutinous rice while he is ill, causing his death. Gwanghae then ascends the Throne as Joseon's 15th ruler.
Prince Imhae continuously slanders Prince Gwanghae, saying that he stole his seat as King. So, Gwanghae fabricates evidence against him with Jeong In Hong and the Greater Northern Faction to jail and exile him for treason. At this point, Ming China dispatches envoys to determine if Gwanghae usurped the Throne, but Imhae helps prove that Gwanghae is the true successor by doing all sorts of crazy things. Nevertheless, Gae Shi and Jeong In Hong poison Prince Imhae's food, and he dies.
Now that Prince Gwanghae and the Greater Northern Faction have eliminated Prince Imhae, he accuses his seven illegitimate brothers of murder, robbery and treason. He tortures them and successfully elicits a false confession, accusing Kim Je Nam and Youngchang of conspiracy. Queen Inmok faints upon hearing the news. Even worse, Queen Yu shoots arrows at pictures of Youngchang and makes a voodoo doll of him. When this is exposed, she lies to the King saying that the Dowager cursed her instead, and the relationship between Inmok and Gwanghae worsens. Kim Je Nam is poisoned and his three sons dragged to their deaths. Inmok is deposed, but another conspiracy is in the works by Prince Gwanghae's faction. They want to make it look like Queen Inmok cursed Queen Ui In's grave. So Queen Yu buries a voodoo doll of Queen Ui In at her grave and frames the Dowager. Thirty of Queen Inmok's court ladies are tortured and killed, while the rest leave Inmok, leaving her with Court Lady Byeon alone.
Prince Gwanghae associates Youngchang with the Westerners and sends him out of the Palace. Some court maids grab Youngchang and take him away from his mother's embrace, as he cries in fear, not wanting to leave his mother's side. He is exiled and confined on Kanghwa Island. From then on, Inmok spends every day in tears, and begins to refuse her meals. On top of that, Inmok's mother is exiled to Jeju, while Lee Won Ik sends Inmok the news. Inmok wails upon receiving the letter. Some time later, Kanghwa Governor Jeong Hang locks the doors so Youngchang can't leave, and fans the flames in the furnace, suffocating Prince Youngchang. Youngchang dies at the age of nine. Jeong Hang falsely reports that Youngchang died of illness, but rumors spread int he market, while Inmok remains unware of her son's death. This is because Gwanghae summoned Court Lady Byeon, and told her not to let Inmok find out.
Gwanghae hears of Prince Neungchang, youngest son of Kim In Bin's son Prince Jeongwon. He's very intelligent and talented. So he charges Prince Neungchang with treason and exiles him to Gyodong in Kanghwa. One day, Gwanghae invites a Buddhist monk to tell his fortune. The monk says: "The energy of a new King arises, from beneath Mount Inwang in Hanyang." Gwanghae wants to build a Palace there to suppress the Kingly energy, but Prince Jeongwon and his eldest Prince Neungyang are living there now. Gwanghae orders the two Princes to leave their house and there he builds Gyeongdeok Palace. Prince Neungchang kills himself in exile at Gyodong, at the age of 16. Prince Jeongwon falls ill and dies upon losing his house and his youngest son, while Prince Neungyang looks on, vowing revenge against Gwanghae. Neungyang begins to participate in a conspiracy to overthrow the King.
In the Shinyu Year (1621), the source of Queen Inmok's banishment to the West Palace comes to the front. When the Greater Northern Faction suggested confining Inmok to the West Palace, nobody could oppose and Inmok was alone with nobody to depend on. Still unaware of Youngchang's death, she prays for her son's safety, becomes bedridden, and repeats the cycle. In the end, she receives the confinement decree from the Royal Secretary and has everything given to her at her marriage, including her Royal Seal, Scroll and instatement decree taken away. She is now no different from a common woman. She's confined behind the walls of Gyeongun Palace (now Deoksu Palace) with more guards watching her, like a criminal in jail. Gyeongun Palace is now condescended to as the West Palace. She is confined with her daughter Jeongmyeong. Many Confucian scholars oppose this decision, and former State Councilors Lee Won Ik and Lee Hang Bok are stripped of their posts and exiled for their opposition.
Inmok spends her confinement in tears and has an unusual dream about Prince Youngchang. She interprets the dream as something happening to Youngchang and after interrogation Lady Byeon, she finally finds out about Youngchang's death. She wails in heartbreak at losing her son. Inmok surrenders herself to everything and absorbs herself in writing the book Hoesul Gate. She records everything about her chaotic life in this book.
In 1616, Nurhaci ascends the Throne as Khan, changes the name of the country to Later Jin, and attacks Ming. Ming requests reinforcements from Joseon. Opinions diverge in the Palace over the war between Ming and Later Jin. Prince Gwanghae uses Joseon's defense as an excuse not to send soldiers to Ming. But, he makes Kang Hong Rip Supreme Commander and chooses 10,000 men to send to war. Before sending them off, Gwanghae secretly gives Kang Hong Rip a message saying to take a passive role in the war, and surrender if necessary. After the Ming envoy leaves, the Palace discusses reinstating Queen Inmok. The Northerners begin to scheme to kill Queen Inmok. Kim Gae Shi sets fire to the West Palace, beating gongs while pretending to be the Goddess of Plague and even breaks into the Dowager's Palace, but Inmok notices and escapes.
In 1623, on March 15th of Gwanghae's 15th year of reign, Injo's Uprising begins. Revolting are Prince Neungyang and his army. They bring the Royal Seal to the West Palace, where Inmok declares that she will change the world. Gwanghae is arrested and dragged to Queen Inmok, who lists 36 crimes Gwanghae has committed. Next, Lee Yi Cheom and Yu Hee Bun are punished to console the soul of Prince Youngchang, while Gae Shi plays tricks to the end, even as death looms before her. She is stoned to death in the marketplace. On April 12th, Prince Neungyang takes the Throne in Gyeongun Palace and becomes Joseon's 16th ruler Injo. Gwanghae is left to repent over a decade's worth of sin and tyranny, and is taken to Kanghwa Island.
After all this, all that's left is to escort Queen Inmok from Gyeongun Palace to Changdeok Palace. After 20 years, Inmok returns to Changdeok Palace and sheds tears. After entering the Palace at 19, she is now 40. A nameless Court lady records the Dowager's sadness in the Gyechuk (1613) Diary, which joins the Records of Queen Inhyeon and Hanjungrok as the Joseon Dynasty's secret stories.

Stefan Simić: SLAĐANA MILOŠEVIĆ - SLAVA I BOL

CHUNG HA 청하 'Sparkling' Choreography Video https://youtu.be/zEOrZp3JcVc CHUNG HA ‘Sparkling’ Choreography Video 청하 '스파클링' 안무 영상 Stream/ Download 'Sparkling' : https://ffm.to/chungha_barerare_pt1 Subscribe CHUNG HA : https://www.youtube.com/c/CHUNGHA_OFFICIAL?sub_confirmation=1 CHUNG HA The 2nd Studio Album [ Bare&Rare Pt.1 ] ‘Sparkling’ “You make me sparkle, I’ll be your sparkle” is like the relationship between Byulharang and me, shining on each other. As much as you’ve been waiting, let’s enjoy the ever more sparkling summer together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! "You make me sparkle, I'll be your sparkle" 서로를 비춰주는 별하랑과 저의 관계 같아요~ 오래 기다려 주신 만큼 더욱더 반짝반짝한 여름 함께 보내요 진심으로 늘 고맙습니다! This fetching piece features sound like a refreshing soda pop, with its identity of hyper-vibe on top of a fast BPM around 160. Like the first sip of an ice cold drink on a hot summer day, the song expresses the clear and cool feeling of a cold and tangy pop. The fast mood could easily seem as light but by capturing the fast mood with Chung Ha’s strong voice, this cool and sparkle track was completed. The arpeggio of the analog synthesizer achieves harmony with the retro but trendy drumline, and by adding in the electric guitar, the chorus also realizes a tough but witty rich sound. And Chung Ha’s chameleonic changes in emotions corresponding with the lyrics can be a key point of this song. Like the lyrics, “You make me sparkle”, “I’ll be your sparkle”, Chung Ha’s ‘Sparkling’ will glitter up our summer moments.
