ONE OF TWINSTAR’S FIRST TRAINEES, hyewon is often dubbed as hwayeon and hwayoung’s daughter, having first joined the company through modeling at just fifteen years old. loved by the public for her cute face, she was also adored for her well mannered aura and composition, capturing the hearts of many through a now well circulated video of her thanking her stylists from 2014.

tomando en cuenta la petición que muches de ustedes enviaron al formulario, esta semana estaremos tocando una temática familiar para conocer un poco más sobre los trasfondos de les personajes. para ello, el proyecto seoulmate se puso en contacto con un familiar de cada participante y les invitó a vivir un día junto a elles. los gastos de transporte y hospedaje fueron cubiertos en su totalidad por el gobierno surcoreano, arribando durante la noche del lunes para partir la madrugada del miércoles. 
a continuación te explicamos un poco más de la dinámica:
les familiares serán personajes jugables durante esta semana, pero on-rol sólo estarán en el proyecto por un día. por lo tanto, les pedimos que envíen el fc elegido + nombre + parentesco, para de esa forma llevar un control y los rostros no se repitan.
pueden elegir a abueles, padres, hermanes, primes o une mejore amigue en caso de ser hije únique. la única condición es que sea alguien que le conozca desde hace años y no se trate de una relación casual/amorosa. 
de no contar el rostro con recursos, ¡no pasa nada! pueden rolear sin ellos. 
por favor les pedimos tomar mucho en cuenta la etnia del rostro elegido para familares. si el personaje es japonés esperamos que el hermane también lo sea, pues no permitiremos mezclas de etnias a menos que se trate de una familia adoptada y no biológica. 
les familiares podrán responder starters e incluso abrirlos. pueden rolear de la forma que prefieran, tanto una escena donde participante + familiar estén juntes, el participante en solitario o en su defecto el familiar a solas. eso sí: pedimos que les participantes estén presentes al menos en dos convos para contarlo como actividad.

♤ HISTORY
Park Hwayeon was born in Ulsan in 2000 to a tight knit family of three. Being the last kid her parents ever planned on having, the family packed up and moved with their two daughters down to the coast of Busan, a place their mother had always dreamed of living. Hwayeon held a very strong ond with her older sister Hwayoung growing up, the two being so inseparable that they both picked up surfing when it caught the attention of Hwayeon. They both were extremally good at the sport even at a young age, but when acting became what Hwayoung was interested in, the girls put surfing on the back burner and started modeling in magazine ads and doing commercials. 
After finding one of her clothing ads in a magazine next to the kpop group Wonder Girls, Hwayeon decided to look into music and picked up on singing. She never really thought of actually pursuing the hobby she found in singing until Hwayoung decided to audition for ANGELICO Entertainment and her cousin, practically sister, Mikyung auditioned for DSP Media. Not confident in her own skills, Hwayeon decided to hold off auditioning for a company herself. 
After watching Mikyung debut in I.O.I and Hwayoung debut in Vivant, Hwayeon finally got the courage to audition for companies but ended up choosing ANGELICO to be closer to her sister. Hwayeon was able to train for four years before she was placed in the pre-debut coed group HI-CLASS, where she was able to be exposed to the public eye and gain a significant amount of fans. 
Hwayeon took on her english name Dottie, given to her by Hwayoung’s groupmate Lily, when she was announced as a finalized member of CALLCARD. Still not truly being confident in both herself and her skills, she was shocked when she was given the positions of main vocalist and visual within the group.

Seokjin realizes one of his earbuds died when he can hear the grit of his bicycle pedals.
Huffing, his breath paints an ashen fog on Gwacheon’s December canvas, another monotone colour to add to the pre-existing black and rat-gray from the chucked-off cement and stripped trees. He shoves his earbuds inside the pocket of his coat and the pedals grit louder.
Winter is harsh. Exams pile up and textbooks pages peel off and his father wants him to take politics.
His father wants many things. Seokjin just wants to go home and have somebody to eat cake with. Or have a cake, for God’s sake. Not one cake store is open at this hour. He can’t really pull his phone out of his trousers to check the exact time, but he’s passing by the park now. There’s an old clock by the entrance, a chunky monolog one with hands posing somewhere past 11:45. 
This time out, only high school kids are around, lumbering on weary legs and weary shoulders. He can spot a streak of black hair some distance in front of him, swallowed by a plait red muffler, and recognizes right away that it’s Hwayeon, the girl from the co-ed school he met in his hagwon. He pity-dated her a month ago. It lasted a week. She stormed away after he pushed her aside when she kissed him, smashing his mother’s antique Chinese cup to the floor. That’s probably why Seokjin remembers her back profile so well. It wasn’t like there was any other choice. He couldn’t possibly tell her he’s in love with his classmate: he goes to an all-boy’s school.
The blobs of school uniforms beside her must be her friends. Same drama. Not exactly a crowd he wants to say hi to, this, or any time, really. Seokjin curves his bicycle handle away and reroutes through the park. A long way home. But he needs it anyway. He needs time.
He doesn’t have time. No third year high school student has, in this education system.  The park is even darker, deserted. Throughout the holed pavements, the blinking light from the head of his bike leads the way, the metal nameplate of Oh Chungsoo on the lapel of his uniform jacket catching most of the glint.
The faint light is not emitting any heat to his chalk-white hands, fingertips frozen because of course he left his gloves in the drawer of his hagwon table. At least the weather numbs the blisters on his fingers, especially that one open cut he got from gripping his pen too stiffly. The blood had left a mark on Chungsoo’s Korean exam paper. Bright side: at least that’s the only red he’s getting on a paper this time.
It’s funny that he didn’t get caught. Sure, Chungsoo and he might stand out in a throng of PC-bang-bred high school boys, but they look nothing alike. 
“I look good, you look good,” Chungsoo explained to him once. Chungsoo’s room smelled like chainsmoker because it belonged to one. Seokjin doesn’t like cigarettes. It’s a pretty simple equation. Father smokes + Seokjin doesn’t like father = Seokjin doesn’t like cigarettes. “You ask a kid around, hey which one’s that Oh Chungsoo dude, and you say the shithead with the face. You show up and bam, you’re Oh Chungsoo.”
“We wear name tag pins.”
And really, Seokjin shouldn’t have said that because that was what started all this shit. 
Midway through the park, he starts to regret his cowardly decision to avoid Hwayeon. Because fuck, it’s subzero and creepy in this place. The can of milk tea in the pocket of his backpack has chilled from the cold and it must be his birthday by now. Birthday. He’ll eat cake beside a framed picture of his mother. His father will drink on the living room sofa and ask if he’s applied for politics yet to a good school. His brother would probably remember, if he’s sober enough. 
All of a sudden, on the path he’s biking on, the light from Seokjin’s bike spills over a misplaced, shadowy chunk, its bulk half on the grass and half on the dirt. 
He pedals an inch closer. One more inch. 
What is it? A dead animal? It’s too large to be a stray cat. The curiosity throws his mind off Chungsoo’s cigarettes and his father crying in front of a coffin and his brother’s voice singing him happy birthday. 
And he sees it.
There’s a body in a school uniform sprawled under his bicycle light.
It’s missing a head.
Seokjin’s thoughts black out with the grind of his pedals, wheels screeching to a stop as his foot pivots him to the ground. It lands on something wet and sticky and dirty red. Without the friction from the wheels, the light of his bike clips off. The last thing Seokjin sees is a name tag pin: 
Kim Seokjin.

Hwayeon pode enganar muitos de início, com uma personalidade simpática e fácil de lidar, porém, ao ir um pouco mais profundamente, é possível ver que nada é tão simples assim. Dona de um temperamento explosivo, pode se irritar com as mais simples coisas e mais aleatórias, especialmente quando sente que as pessoas não estão a ouvindo.

⋆— HISTÓRIA:
A vida no Canadá se iniciou durante a infância de Hwayeon. Após o falecimento de mãe da garota, Woonsik, seu pai, decidiu que seria melhor se a família tivesse um novo começo para os dois. Com uma nova vaga disponível para si no Canadá, especificamente em Toronto, não demorou muito para que se mudasse com a menina, que tinha apenas oito anos na época.
Mesmo com as grandes diferenças culturais, Hwayeon conseguiu se acostumar com a nova escola, nova casa e novos amigos, se tornando uma pessoa popular facilmente, por seu sorr iso fácil e simpatia. Mesmo assim, ainda assim as pessoas sempre a olhavam esquisito, fosse pelo sotaque, que fora perdendo com o tempo, ou simples por ser uma pessoa que poderia ser vista como escandalosa por outras.
Durante o ensino médio, a vida de Hwahwa, o apelido dado por seu pai para si, era como a de um filme. Tinha o namorado perfeito, as amigas perfeitas e as notas altas que qualquer um desejaria. Já sonhava com uma grande universidade e com um diploma, assim como qualquer pessoa em sua idade. Fora apenas durante o verão após a formatura do ensino médio que tudo mudara completamente.
O pai começou a demonstrar alguns sintomas e, pouco tempo depois, fora diagnosticado com uma doença terminal no fígado. Precisava de tratamento contínuo para manter um bom padrão de vida, mas o transplante seria a melhor chance para uma vida prolongada. 
Por isso, Hwayeon largou tudo que tinha para poder cuidar do homem que sempre cuidou de si. Encontrou uma cidade menor, mais calma e onde o pai poderia ter contato com a cultura de onde vieram enquanto fazia seu tratamento, e ao mesmo tempo poder ter uma vista bonita para o mar, como sempre amara. Fora assim que foram para East Town, onde vivem até hoje, seu pai em uma clínica na maior parte do tempo e Hwayeon em um apartamento pequeno, fazendo de tudo para arcar com os custos médicos enquanto aguardam o tão aguardado transplante ou, ao menos, que os médicos liberem ela própria como doadora.

The cryptic title iwillmedievalfutureyou1 dissolves time, pointing back and ahead at the same time. The artists present absurd and dystopian depictions of our current era, and through these works the exhibition aims to reflect the primitive aspect of our present day and our potential future. The works portray journeys through time and place. The exhibition can be seen as an epic tale of the future, displaying our dreams, our fantasies and how they fracture, fissure and fuse.

Art Sonje Center proudly presents iwillmedievalfutureyou1, the fourth exhibition in a series of ten non- chronological group shows that tell an epic tale about the future through fantastical, oddball and dystopian depictions of the times in which we live. Cannibalising on existing exhibition architecture, the layout and display change with each edition of iwillmedievalfutureyou as it mutates into a new configuration of works. iwillmedievalfutureyou1 includes works by 20 artists, half of whom are specially invited for the exhibition at Art Sonje Center.
The exhibition attempts to mirror primitive and disruptive elements in our present existence and potential future; each artist presents a distinct depiction of the human condition, the destruction of human realities or ‘nonhuman’ conditions, coalescing into restored hopes and the development of a post-human state.
In the exhibition, mankind’s interference with the natural world interlinks with technology’s impact on the human body. Mounted on a wallpaper of genetically manipulated plants and animals, Lynn Hershmann Leeson’s video, Seduction of a Cyborg, depicts a technology-induced breakdown of the human immune system. In Will Benedict and Steffen Jørgensen’s dark sitcom The Restaurant, the grocery-delivering, half-man-half-snail protagonist Snailien demonstrates the versatility of the natural world, while Mire Lee’s mechanical, human-cum-alien-like sculptures appear to be harbingers of a new post-human evolutionary state.
The primitive and the grotesque characterise another strand of works in which medievalesque imagery and fantasies surface. Chased by an immense wall of fire, appropriated drawings of disabled people by Hieronymus Bosch populate a nightmarish contemporary gladiator’s game in the animation, EXIT, by Magnus Wallin, and, in a work by Rolf Nowotny, enlarged, metal renditions of ancient woodlice have the hallmarks of crude, futuristic armour. Collaborating with members of a Medieval Renaissant Swordsmanship Association and a game designer, Yun Choi explores contemporary desires for the Middle Ages in Seoul. In the work of Ovartaci, drawings of fantastical, retro-futuristic machines and alien bodies testify to a desire to overcome the boundaries between species, genders and the natural world. Eroding boundaries also influence the work of Kang Jungsuck, where reality and the immersive virtual reality of the gaming space coalesce.
Seemingly ushering in a new dark age, the menacing exhibition title performatively suspends our conception of linear time by fusing past and future. Time traveling would appear to be inevitable, and jet lag to be expected, but are we about to encounter an old future or a new past? As futurologist Alvin Toffler has remarked, “The future always comes too fast and in the wrong order.”
Conceived and realised by Jacob Fabricius, iwillmedievalfutureyou is a series of exhibitions that will appear in ten different iterations throughout the course of 100 years. In 2016, iwillmedievalfutureyou4 initiated the exhibition series at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Roskilde (DK). Later the same year, the second iteration, iwillmedievalfutureyou5, unfolded at Kunsthal Aarhus, which also hosted the third instalment, iwillmedievalfutureyou6, in 2018.
Since 2017, Art Sonje Center and Kunsthal Aarhus have collaborated on a number of projects and exhibitions. In addition to iwillmedievalfutureyou1 at Art Sonje Center, the collaboration also includes a solo exhibition by Hwayeon Nam at Kunsthal Aarhus opening in October 2019. Earlier this year, Art Sonje Center also collaborated with Kunsthal Aarhus, when Kunsthal Aarhus hosted the exhibition Water from Ganges River in the Cup Made with Newspaper from Congo by Kim Beom.

Hyundai Motor pozvedává korejské umělce na globální scénu sponzorováním Korejského pavilonu na Benátském bienále
Hyundai i letos podporuje umělecké iniciativy na celém světě, včetně Tate, LACMA a MMCA
Hyundai Motor Company je od roku 2015 hlavním sponzorem Korejského pavilonu na prestižní mezinárodní přehlídce současného výtvarného umění La Biennale di Venezia – Benátském bienále – a i v letošním roce znovu potvrzuje své zaměření na dlouhodobou podporu tohoto festivalu moderního umění a kultury. Letos se bude expozice v Korejském pavilonu věnovat otázkám současného i historického východoasijského umění prostřednictvím genderově zaměřené kritiky a reflexe.

Kurátorem 58. Mezinárodní přehlídky výtvarného umění La Biennale di Venezia, která se koná od 11. května do 24. listopadu pod titulem „May You Live in Interesting Times.“ (Přál bych vám žít v zajímavých časech.), je Ralph Rugoff. Letošního ročníku se zúčastní umělci, ale také zástupci významných galerií a sběratelé výtvarných děl, reprezentující 90 národností. Na hlavní výstavě bienále se představí díla 79 umělců z celého světa.
Mezinárodní přehlídka výtvarného umění v Benátkách, známá také pod označením „olympiáda uměleckého světa“, se koná každé dva roky (v lichých létech) a je považována za nejvýznamnější globální akci, na níž se do světel reflektorů dostávají díla umělců z různých koutů světa.
„Přehlídka se snaží zdůraznit myšlenku, že význam uměleckých děl nespočívá v první řadě v předmětech, ale v rozhovorech – nejprve mezi umělcem a uměleckým dílem a pak mezi uměleckým dílem a publikem a následně také mezi širokou veřejností,“ řekl Rugoff, který je rovněž ředitelem Hayward Gallery v Londýně. „Koneckonců Biennale Arte 2019 usiluje o ideál, že na výstavě není nejdůležitější to, co je vystavováno, ale jak publikum dokáže poté využít své zážitky z výstavy, konfrontovat je s každodenní realitou z širších hledisek a s novými energiemi. Výstava by měla lidem otvírat oči, aby spatřovali dříve neuvažované způsoby bytí na světě, a tím mohli změnit svůj pohled na tento svět.“

Korejský pavilon: „Historie nám nepřála, ale to nevadí“
Kurátorem Korejského pavilonu s titulem „Historie nám nepřála, ale to nevadí“ na 58. Mezinárodní přehlídce výtvarného umění La Biennale di Venezia je Hyunjin Kim, vedoucí kurátor pro Asii v mezioborové nadaci pro moderní umění Kadist.
Tři umělkyně – siren eun young jung, Hwayeon Namová a Jane Jin Kaisenová – zaměřují svá díla v Korejském pavilonu na ústřední otázku: „Kdo kanonizoval formování historie a jaké osoby, o nichž se ještě nepsalo, jsou součástí tohoto příběhu?“ Výstava zpochybňuje pravidla společnosti, ovládané muži, a Západu, ale také zjišťuje, jak v moderní společnosti vznikají tradice, a zkoumá emancipační potenciál asijských tradic z genderově komplexní perspektivy, která se vymyká možnostem západní modernosti.
„Pro Hyundai Motor je velkou ctí, že sponzoruje Korejský pavilon na Benátském bienále již od roku 2015, a nabízí tak různé příležitosti, aby lidé mohli objevovat aktuální trendy i zájmy a současně hovořit o umění a společnosti,“ řekl Wonhong Cho, výkonný viceprezident a marketingový ředitel společnosti Hyundai Motor. „Pokračující podporou moderního umění a kultury chceme rozvíjet trvalou udržitelnost globální umělecké scény a zpřístupňovat umění všem.“
Korejský pavilon na Benátském bienále 2017 (což byla 57. Mezinárodní přehlídka výtvarného umění) prezentoval díla umělců Codyho Choie a Leeho Wana, jejichž zadavatelem byla Korejská umělecká rada (Arts Council Korea) a kurátorem byl umělecký ředitel společnosti Hyundai Motor Daehyung Lee. V roce 2015 byla vystavována díla umělců Moona Kyungwona a Jeona Joonhoa, jejichž zadavatelem a kurátorem byl Dr Sook-Kyung Lee, který v současnosti vede výzkumné centrum Hyundai Tate Research Centre: Transnational.
La Biennale di Venezia a další iniciativy
Hyundai Motor podporou Benátského bienále pokračuje v mecenášství globálních uměleckých komunit. V rámci snah o zpřístupňování umění široké veřejnosti je podpora bienále jedním z mnoha dlouhodobých partnerství, která Hyundai navázal od roku 2013. Významná jsou rovněž partnerství s institucemi National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) v Koreji, Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) a Tate v Londýně. Hyundai Motor podporuje také řadu uměleckých projektů, iniciativ a soutěží na celém světě.
MMCA Hyundai Motor Series umožňuje korejským umělcům představovat svá individuální díla a také vystupuje jako platforma pro podporu mezinárodního působení a povědomí. Hyundai Project v muzeu umění LACMA podporuje programy Korean Art Scholarship a Art + Technology. Hyundai Commission v Tate Modern umožňuje každý rok jednomu umělci prezentovat specifickou instalaci v impozantní Turbínové hale muzea.
Mezi další významné výstavy, podporované společností Hyundai Motor v roce 2019, patří: sponzorství první výstavy korejské kaligrafie mimo Koreu, „Beyond Line: The Art of Korean Writing“ v muzeu umění LACMA (od června v Los Angeles); pátá výstava Hyundai Commission od Kary Walkerové v Tate Modern (od října); a odhalení videí, fotografií a dalších děl Parka Chan-kyonga v muzeu moderního umění MMCA v Soulu (od října).
