In Keyan carliles new Zack and Cody video there’s a bit where he mentions lavern and Shirley because there’s a guy who was from there and the episode has a b plot which involves stunt doubles and it reminds me of the victorious episode where tori has to be someone’s stunt double and the set up is exactly the Same with the go to a specific point and what’s that stain oh just some dried blood and also did you know that later in the Quinton reviews sam and cat video that there’s an episode where lavern and Shirley — either show up(?) in the salmoncat one or I’m remembering wrong and Quinton just mentions it
Anyway that just reminds me that in the wizards of Waverley place video from Keyan Carlile that there’s a brief screenshot part that I went crazy over because Quinton is mentioned and It made me crazy but yeah it makes sense that 2 people who painstakingly recap these shows in long form content are pals a bit and text — I really really really like how it feels connected in my brain bc it feels like Keyan—> Disney channel sitcoms Quinton—> Nickelodeon sitcoms
I like the connections so it was really fun okay bye guys I’m gonna watch BHultras izzy isn’t crazy theory again,

After Keyan's Lab Rats & Mighty Med videos and Mr Nostalgia's Kickin It video I've come to the conclusion that Disney XD just never fully knew what to do with girl characters

defunctland's video about Alex Lasarenko made me really appreciate tv bumpers so i love how keyan carliles wizards of waverly place retrospectives include them before each episode

Keyan Carlile sharing his Dms with Quinton Reviews in the newest Wizards video was just...such an unexpected thing for me and I don’t know why. Of course the two guys who made obnoxiously long video essays about decade old children’s sitcoms would talk to each other about their obnoxiously long video essays about decades old children sitcoms

After rewatching Quinton's iCarly/Victorious series, I've kind of gotten addicted to the subgenre of YouTube videos that sprung out of it of people doing long, in-depth recaps of old TV shows. There's so much analytic potential in this genre of video, but it continues to utterly baffle me why creators think that repeatedly nitpicking continuity errors in sitcoms is interesting or engaging. For example, Keyan Carlile's Wizards of Waverly Place series was pretty good, but I swear to god he could have fit it all into one video if he just cut out every time he pointed out "There's a spell from an earlier episode that would have rendered the conflict of this current episode trivial!" Like, yeah, that is a trend worth identifying within the show, but it could have been addressed with a single five-minute segment that pulled a few examples from across the series, instead of grinding the video to a halt every time it happens. My eyes just glaze over every time someone complains about continuity goofs because it's such an overly literal and uninspired way to critique art.

Harper gets to be in the hypothetical reboot b/c she's one of the only mortals to know magic exists (hypothetically) and someone needs to teach these kids -- most of whom will not become wizards -- how to sew their own buttons on when they can't magically conjure a new cardigan when they lose their family's Wizard competition (and Justin's a slightly-less-shitty headmaster than Prof. Crumbs, so he knows they'll need it).
