I feel like most of society would see that and be like oh they're beautiful it's bright and shiny and Alex just sees right through it which I love. It's one of the great things about Alex's character. -Jen
I genuinely think that both Victorious and Wizards of Waverly Place would retroactively become better shows if a modern reunion special canonized the (imo obvious) sapphic ship.
Despite this being a very late-series Wizards episodes, it is one of the most iconic ones in my brain. I don't know why. Anyway I love Harper underrated character.
Matchup #4.3: Teru Hanazawa (Mob Psycho 100) vs Harper Finkle (Wizards of Waverly Place)
Both have tons of Questionable Outfits, but which is Worse?
On the left side, we see Teru. Oh Teru. His fashion sense brought down even Mr. Agreste, but will he defeat the classic, Harper, too? Here are a few of his Fashion Crimes:
wearing a three foot wig which causes him to resemble a cactus (above)
picking out that horrible monkey shirt that you could see in the Mob poll for Mob (it was so bad it defeated god)
certain... official promo art and official fanbook outfits (below)
Against him, stands Harper Finkle! Introduced to me as "the inspiration for queer kids growing up in the late 2000's to be their own fashion disasters", her array of outfits includes pieces such as:
the rubber duck dress (above)
the lampshade dress (below)
the baby clothes dress (below) and much, much more!
Converse will never go out of style. They're like Doc Martins they'll never go out of style. They're great. I still have ones that like Selena wrote like notes on. -Jen
I was rewatching Wizards Of Waverly Place and oh my god Jerry annoys the hell out of me in You Can't Always Get What You Carpet (the episode when he teaches Alex how to drive the flying carpet). This man flat out said "Thank you Theresa" after he found out both his wife and daughter made him breakfast for dinner (his favourite) completely ignoring his daughter because he wasn't being a good teacher to Alex and caused her to panic while they were flying. No wonder Alex learned better when Justin helped her, and not just with the flying.
Alex clearly needed more of a hands on and visual approach to learning magic just like some people need that in real life it makes sense now why she would always just do magic it was her way of trying to learn it. While also being reckless because let's be real its Alex.
Max had to use a physical representation of his conscience to help him learn, and Justin mainly taught himself as well. Jerry was not a good teacher. But that's not what this post was originally about.
Jerry flat deciding to blatantly ignore that Alex was clearly trying to make sure they were fine, while both Theresa and Justin try to help her out genuinely made me tear up because I was imagining being in that situation. Which tbh wasn't that much of stretch for me, with how I grew up. Yeah that's all. This is why I can't bring myself to properly hate Justin later on in the show, well that and the writers screwed every character over including Alex.
