What are your fav horror films? I want to get into those and I need a good recommendation :)
gahhh i just love watching horror- ♡
• pet sematary (2019, dir. kevin kölsch, dennis widmyer)
okay even though i had already read the book by stephen king, the movie still fucked me in the head.
• hereditary (2018, ari aster)
pure, apocalyptic nihilism. one of the most bone-chilling, delicious films I've ever seen. glad i don’t have a deadly allergy to nuts.
• smile (2022, dir. parker finn)
chef-kissed. one of the best horror films i've seen in a long time. (and the sound effects are bloody good, in a creepy way)

Grace Van Dien stars as Ziggy, who, along with her four friends, journeys out on a camping trip to a picturesque remote forest. But trespassing into an off-limits area, they awaken an uncanny terror in the woods… and a ravenous hunger from within the Earth. Soon, the ground itself is trying to swallow anything and anyone it comes into contact with and Ziggy and her friends have nowhere to run as every trembling step they take could be their last.

2022 Horror Challenge: [58/?]
↳“Ambition - the blackest of human desires. Everyone has it, but how many act on it?” Starry Eyes (2014) dir. Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer
Plot: A hopeful young starlet uncovers the ominous origins of the Hollywood elite and enters into a deadly agreement in exchange for fame and fortune.
Starring: Alexandra Essoe, Amanda Fuller, Noah Segan & Fabianne Therese
This is a movie that I'd almost watched for the challenge a few times but I never got to it so I decided this year I would. It's an interesting concept, while not necessarily the most original but also just enough, and Alexandra Essoe gives an all-in performance so props to her. It's a slow burner that gradually shows her character Chloe's descent into the cult before a batshit crazy third act that kinda had me gasping. Wasn't maybe the most pleasant of watches perhaps but I think it wasn't too bad. It feels like it'd be worth checking out if this kind of plot interests you.
