Jeong Gu-Won may seem like a cold and insensitive guy/demon and that's true, but only to people he doesn't like or know because to you he's a big softie and totally clingy.

He's completely clingy. He hates it when you have to get out of bed and leave him because he wants to cling to you and never leave your embrace. He definitely tries to convince you not to work/study. He has enough money to support you, so why not cuddle with him?

He loves going out with you, taking you on dates and just being close to you. His smile convinces you easily because of how adorable he looks when he's like that for you.

Gu-Won is always keeping an eye on you, in a friendly way of course. His hard gaze softens and there could even be hearts in his eyes, like an emoji, of how in love he is with you.

Gu-Won is always spoiling you and if you like sweets, especially cake, as much as he does, you can be sure that you will never miss them at home. His smile when he eats cake or when he sees you happy are absolutely adorable.

It may seem controversial, but I think he would want to wear couples' clothes. Maybe something not so in-your-face, but a matching blouse or even matching accessories. Maybe even tattoos. Everything to feel closer to you.

He will definitely give you nicknames, some strange and others more loving. Maybe jagiya or something more sappy, but he likes it, one more way to show his immeasurable affection for you.

Gu-Won gets jealous very easily and will make faces, act like a child. In addition to using his powers against those who made him jealous. It could be something harmless or something more... Definite, but he gets clingier than ever when he's jealous.

He loves you, very much. Jeong Gu-Won never thought that he could love someone so much, that he could let himself be carried away by human feelings, but he did it and he couldn't be happier. Because he met you. You are his and he is yours. Plus, he's adorable, isn't he?

My Tooth Your Love (from Result Entertainment - We Best Love peeps) with script by Lin Pei who loves VERY traditional yaoi tropes, she’s the writer of mush HIStory stuff.

FROM JAPAN

Bokura no Shokutaku AKA Our Dining Table - I LOVED THIS MANGA. Lonely salaryman (talented cook) gets accidentally adopted by a college kid and his baby brother. They build a family together. This is a sweetly gentle and cozy manga and it will make a GREAT live action piece.

Kabesaa Doujin Sakka no Neko Yashiki-kun wa Shounin Yokkyuu wo Kojirasete iru - starring Matsuoka Koudai (I know him from Five) and Nakao Masaki (Kakafukaka, Bow Then Kiss - he’s a BIG DEAL ya’ll) slated to be released in October.

You know what? I admit I haven't seen any of his other shows beside BoF and TotNT. I would probably watch "East of Eden" next because he reportedly chews the scenery in that. But maybe "The Woman Who Wants to Marry" would be good since I like rom-coms?

So here I come with other recommendations. I am in the thick of three dramas right now:

Hometown Cha Cha Cha

Has a lot of second-hand embarrassment at first but you have to push through the second and third episodes when it settles in and gets good. Has Kim Seonho, who is perfectly annoying and charming as Chief Hong. (Justice for Good Boy! and for the record I still support KSH because his ex-gf sounds like she has a lot of issues and I hope she gets some help.)

Imitation

If you've been Atiny long enough, you start to wonder why people randomly sprinkle "Finally, now, it's my time" into conversations and what the injoke is. "Imitation" features one of the absolute worst songs in K-pop after Jopping and Baggy Jeans but I love that the actors/idols promoted the songs absolutely seriously on the music shows and committed to the bit. It's pretty campy but the fan wars parts hit home. Beware it jumps the shark in episode 6/7 but I'm still watching it- I am a loyal Fin!

The King's Affection

I have to admit, this may be a DNF. Theoretically it has all the ingredients I love: Kwon Eun Bin, historical costumes, palace intrigue! But I just am having trouble sticking with it. Maybe it's the pacing? Maybe it's that the protagonist has to be a frozen popsicle to survive? (The protagonist rivals D.O.'s character in "100 Days My Prince" for cold fish.) I am trying to force myself to finish it so I can move on to "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" and "Castaway Diva."

Well, I finished Hotel Del Luna at last. The ending was fine, and I think narratively the story hung together well, but it just wasn’t quite engaging enough to hold me. IU knocked her character arc out of the park as expected, especially in the last few episodes, but I feel like My Mister was a far better showcase for her talent as an actor (even if it didn’t do nearly so much justice to her beauty -- the style Man-Wol has in this show, I wanted to buy fully half of those dresses).

Anyway, now I have to decide what to watch next. I'm two episodes into both From Now On, Showtime! and If You Wish Upon Me, but neither one has really hooked me yet so they’ve been sitting neglected for over a month now. I watched the first episode of Gaus Electronics but the humor was too broad and slapstick for me, so I don’t think I’ll continue.

Currently in my Viki watchlist are Summer Strike, Cheer Up, Love in Contract, Lighter and Princess, Silent and Reborn Rich. Currently on my Netflix list are Little Women, The King’s Affection, She Would Never Know (which I’ve already read as a webcomic), Reply 1988, Bulgasal: Immortal Souls, and Abyss.

Any recommendations for what I should pick?

A Wonderful Day to Be a Dog Review: Cha Eun Woo and Park Gyu Young star in this comedy about the furries and furies of a cursed person.

Park Gyu Young, Cha Eun Woo, and Lee Hyun Woo feature in the fantasy romcom A Good Day To Be A Dog. A Good Day to be a Dog is a fantasy romcom based on author Lee Hye's webtoon of the same name. It stars Park Gyu Young, Cha Eun Woo, and Lee Hyun Woo. The drama premiered on October 11, 2023, and will run until the first week of January 2024. For overseas audiences, the drama is available on Viki and Viu.

Physical intimacy is an important component of dating, but what if it is the source of conflict in your relationship? Park Hae Na has been afflicted by it her entire life. So much so that she is being chastised by her friends and colleagues for never kissing her boyfriends. However, she is unable to explain why. What is she going to say? "Oh, I turn into a dog when I kiss because of an ancestral curse." People will think she's insane. Hae Na is in a bad way. She is now a homeroom teacher at a high school known as the BUKC, or Breaking Up Kissing Couples. She has a crush on fellow history teacher Mr Lee Bo Gyeon and kisses him one fateful night. Except it's Mr Jin Seon Woo, another teacher at the school who is cold and aloof to Hae Na. Hae Na's curse can be broken only if she kisses the same person again, but this time in her dog form. She tries to kiss Mr Jin in her dog form, but as luck would have it, Mr Jin is terrified of dogs. His apprehension derives from a bullying experience when he was younger. All of this is revealed in the two episodes that have already broadcast. We also witness where Hae Na's family curse began. There were flashbacks to the past, specifically to 1592, when the entire incident occurred. Mr Lee also mentions in one of his seminars that he wishes he could go back to that year and change history. In keeping with the show's lighthearted tone, we see Hae Na in awkward circumstances that are sure to make you laugh. Park Hae Na, Par Gyu Young's character, is like any other 20-something lady attempting to make her own way in life by dating and meeting new people. But that dreadful curse! She is bubbly and cheery, yet she is also determined. We watch Hae Na, like every female star in a romcom, getting herself into hilariously awkward situations all the time. Lee Hyun Woo's character Lee Bo Gyeom is the sort that you will like right away. The audience, like the students in the play, is bound to develop a crush on him soon (if they haven't already!) Jin Seo Woo, played by Cha Eun Woo, is a typical tsundere character. Why? Let's see what happens - 1. He is aloof. 2. He rarely expresses emotion. 3. Among all of his coworkers, he is only close to Bo Gyeom. 4. He never smiles. Hae Na even commented that Seo Woo's only smile was a small upturn of his lips. Such fantasy tales with a curse and a connection between the leads' ancestors are highly entertaining to see. It gives you much to ponder about, theorize about, and fawn over at the same time! The primary characters, supporting characters, and plot of the story are all introduced in the first two episodes. The new soundtrack and sound effects sprinkled throughout the drama contribute to the vitality of each moment. The one-hour length of each episode perfectly encapsulates the tale. A Good Day to Be a Dog is a fun approach to beat the mid-week blues.

Y/n: I never see you anymore, besides that when your here...your not here.

Soo-Hyuk: What the hell does that mean?

Y/n: We've been married 6 months, and in all those months we've been together I've only seen you for two months. T...thats not a marriage.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n, please. He said, as he placed his hands on either side of your cheeks.

Y/n: No, I'm sorry. I can't, stay in a marriage where I'm all alone.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n-

Y/n: NO! We only consimated our marriage, and three weeks ago we had sex once. Twice, Soo-Hyuk...that...thats not a marriage I want to be in. You replied, as you looked down at the ground. The papers have already been sent to your lawyers, please sign it as soon as possible. I don't want anything, no money, I don't want a thing, I have my own things and I want to just get out of this. You spoke, as you said your final words before leaving the house, and to the car.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n, where are you going?

Y/n: That's none of your concern.

Soo-Hyuk: Please, I'll sign the papers, I'll do whatever you want...i just want to know you'll be staying someplace safe.

Y/n: I'll be staying with my mother.

Soo-Hyuk: Okay. I-

Y/n: Goodbye, Soo-Hyuk. You replied with a smile, as you drove off.

Two weeks later

Soo-Hyuk watched you from across the table as you signed the papers moving it over to his side, swallowing hard he took the paper slowly picking up the pen as he breathed out and signed the final part of the paper.

Judged: By the power invested in me, and the state of Seoul, I now officially pronounce you divorced. He said, as he stood and walked out of the room.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n, if I may, who will be picking you up?

Y/n: I...um...no one. I was thinking of taking an Uber or a taxi.

Soo-Hyuk: Please...if it wouldn't be much trouble could I take you home?

Y/n: Soo-Hyuk...i-

Soo-Hyuk: Please. I know you moved into a new apartment, and your moving on with your new life...but all I'm asking is to make sure you'll be safe. I still care about you, despite what you might think.

Later as you arrived at the apartment building, you walked in silence with Soo-Hyuk next to you seeing as he insisted on walking you to your door.

Y/n: Thank you.

Soo-Hyuk: Of course. Y/n, keep my number on your phone in case of anyt-

Before he could finish his sentence, you ran into your apartment running to the bath room as you started to vomit. Running into the apartment, he shut the door as he made his way to you.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n? Are you okay?

Y/n: I don't know. I've been sick ever since two weeks ago...i...i don't-

Soo-Hyuk: Come on, I'm taking you to the hospital.

Y/n: No...its fine, i-

Soo-Hyuk: No. I'm taking you and I'm making sure you're okay.

Y/n: I don't want to be an inconvenience t-

Soo-Hyuk: Your not an inconvenience, now let's go.

Nodding you finally gave in, and followed Soo-Hyuk to his car. After a small drive you got to the hospital, and were immediately taken to get tested for any virus that could be in the blood.

After waiting an hour, the doctor came into the room were you and Soo-Hyuk were waiting for him.

Doctor: Well, I know why you've been vomiting so much Mrs Lee.

Soo-Hyuk: Please, tell me she's okay. He asked the doctor, as you faced him you could see the fear written on his face.

Doctor: No need to worry Mr Lee, it's nothing to worry about. Your pregnant Mrs Lee, congratulations.

Y/n: P...pregnant?

Doctor: Yes.

Soo-Hyuk: For how long?

Doctor: For 1 month.

Y/n: A month?

Neither of you spoke to each other as you drove back to your apartment, as you unlocked the door Soo-Hyuk placed his hand on your turning you around.

Soo-Hyuk: Y/n-

Y/n: Soo-Hyuk...what are we going to do? I-

Soo-Hyuk: Know that I'll be there for everything, I won't miss out on anything...i don't want to miss out on anything. I can't.

Y/n: What are you saying?

Swallowing you bit your lower lip, as you pulled him down gently kissing him softly.

Y/n: Don't go. You whispered against his lips, as you held onto his jacket.

Soo-Hyuk smiled against your lips, as he picked you up bridal style and carried you into the apartment. Placing you down gently on the couch, he took your bag from your shoulder, and placed it on the coffee table. Next he took off your black heels, as he kissed your lips once again.

Soo-Hyuk: Are you sure y-

Y/n: Shut up...and kiss me. I just want to be with my husband. You said, stopping fast, as you quickly sat up looking at him awkwardly. I...um-

Soo-Hyuk: Don't be. He said taking your hand in his. I want us to be together again, and if it means we need to build a strong foundation from the start, I'm willing to do that for you. I'm will to do anything to get you back.

You smiled at Soo-Hyuk, and stood up for a moment only to take a seat on Soo-Hyuk's lap. Smiling up at you, he held your hips keeping you in place.

Y/n: Truth be told...i never wanted to divorce, I just didn't know what to do. You said, tears falling from your eyes. Please don't hate me.

Soo-Hyuk: I could never hate you. He said, as he wiped the tears away. How about we start over? A new leaf, we both will put everything into this new relationship for each other and our baby to come. He said, placing his thumb on your stomach as he lightly stroked it. Just the three of us, I won't let my acting come in the way of you both ever again.

Y/n: Y...you want to marry me again?

Soo-Hyuk: Yes. I want to wake up next to you every day, kiss you every night, and see how our blessing grows up. If you'll have me. He spoke, as his right hand made it's way to your cheek.

Y/n: Yes. I do. I want you more thank anything in this world...well you and baby. You replied with a giggle.

Soo-Hyuk: Tomorrow, I'm going to buy you a new ring, sympolizing our new engagement.

Y/n: I don't need a new ring Soo-Hyuk.

So I was thinking, the Us/UK/AUS have soap operas, Latin America has telenovelas, Koreans have K-dramas, I was wondering are there any other culturally specific yet similar tv genre that has those deliciously dramatic tropes and crazy plots these genres have?

It has occured to me that since I got into k-drama, my top favourites have all had one-word titles (well in English anyway):

Signal

Awaken

Trolley

Mine (I haven't finished this yet, but I am definitely at the point where I am confident it's amongst my favourites)

There are others I've enjoyed a great deal that don't have one-word titles (Extradorinary Attorney Woo, Move to Heaven and Witch's Court) but yeah, that list are all my favourites and they all have one-word titles. Whether that means something or not remains to be seen I guess

In the thrilling preview of Gyeongseong Creature, Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, and Wi Ha Joon face off against horrific creatures formed of human avarice.

Park Seo Joon, Han So Hee, Claudia Kim, Kim Hae Seok, Wi Ha Joon, and Cho Han Cheul star in the series, which was created by Kang Eun Kyung and Chung Dong Yoon.

Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee, both South Korean stars, will star in a new drama titled Gyeongseong Creature. It was first reported last year that the two stars were in talks to star in the supernatural thriller series, with the first installment premiering on December 22 and the second on January 5, 2024. On November 23, the first official teaser was released, and it looks intense. The teaser for the intriguing series, which follows an entrepreneur Jang Tae Sang and a sleuth Yoon Chae Ok as they fight for existence and face a beast spawned from human avarice, is set in the spring of 1945 at the mysterious Ongseong Hospital in Gyeongseong (a former name for Seoul). Park Seo Joon plays Jang Tae Sang, the proprietor of the House of Golden Treasure pawnshop and the richest and most well-connected person in Gyeongseong, and Han So Hee plays Yoon Chae Ok, a sleuth with a reputation for the impossible. They venture into the dark and turbulent world of 1945 together. While the identity of Wi Ha Joon's character is unknown, he appears to be Jang's best buddy and an Independence warrior.
