Year 2023 astrology- Raise your state of consciousness
Hello,
Welcome to my astrological blog regarding the upcoming year.  I want to share with you regarding how I perceive the year 2023 will be for most Humans from the perspective of Vedic astrology (Jyotisha).
2023 will be a year remembered in history as a year of major transition and year of end of an era of one stage of consciousness and stepping into the next stage of evolution of consciousness. This is the most positive way that i can portray it here (which is in terms of evolution of human consciousness). Because we will be seeing all the worst results of years of negative human karma spanning out as a result of the accumulation of lower human consciousness.
Tumblr media
What I mean by negative Karma is nothing but all the actions carried out in a lowered state of consciousness by humans in the last few decades. The year 2023 will be a time when most of humanity which has been in the grip of its ego-centric mind states such as desire for power, rank, money, wealth, status, lust, exploitation of poor, laziness, or just any concept of a traditional society will be severely challenged. All the traditional practices taken for granted in the past few decades especially the financial growths or frivolity, comfort/luxuries, the sophisticated urban indoor dinings, continuous chatting or rambling, political ignorance, owned properties and literally everything will be challenged during this year.
This will also be the year of the culmination of the challenges that started as Covid pandemic in 2020. We have not seen the end of it yet. For those asking the question, when will things get better and back to normal? Well, I have news for you. Im not the sort of person who likes to give out negative news to gain publicity. The only real reason Im writing this blog is to help as many people as I can because I see a very negative constellation of planets lined up for the next year. This is a planetary combination which has vast similarities to the 1940s though not exactly the same. So if you are wondering will there be a third world war, all i can say is that the magnitude of the current war in Ukraine has very high chance of escalating or expanding to a larger conflict.
And if you are concerned about the Covid virus variants, yes there are chances of another wave for many countries. And apart from these issues, there are chances of natural disasters as well. Any event or disaster that could result in loss of human life or consciousness, you name it, has a chance of happening in 2023.
The primary astrological reason behind this prediction is the imminent eclipse of Jupiter which happens in the middle of 2023. And this eclipse is not an ordinary eclipse. Jupiter is becoming eclipsed in a very malefic energy state and it has never been in such a malefic state since the 1940s as per my research.  Jupiter is the planet of life and consciousness and its light rays reaching earth directly has an effect on the state of consciousness of beings on earth. Jupiter is also the indicator of economic prosperity for the world.
Now we come to the primary reason behind my intent for writing this article. During this time of Jupiter eclipse which starts in February 2023 and intensifies into March, April, and May; we will start to see the human consciousness being challenged, growing increasingly mad and unconscious resulting in loss of sanity (with its peak loss in May).
Things should get much better after July starts and the rest of the year will have a good recovery since the eclipse of Jupiter will complete in June and it will be coming out of it relatively stronger.
However, what we need to understand as humans is to NOT go back to the habit of looking for the good times. Rather,  all of us will be challenged and will be forced to undergo a shift in consciousness next year. The sooner we can adapt to this shift in consciousness, the better it is for us as humans. There will be a set of people who collapse if they are sticking to their same old mental emotional patterns and are driven by their strong worldly (or karmic) attachment and pursuits. I don’t mean to imply that people should forego their desires or ambitions. All Im saying is that we cannot be in the grip of our extreme thoughts. Hence, it becomes increasingly important to practice the art of present-moment awareness of your state of consciousness. The more you practice the habit of stepping OUT of your thought patterns and be in the present moment, the more you can tap into the light of consciousness within you.
If you haven’t yet read the book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, I strongly recommend it. It has pointers into how one can raise one’s own inner state of consciousness and practice being in the present moment. We can start with simple habits such as observing the beauty of our surroundings without  thought or putting a label on things. Looking at a plant or tree, being in nature, looking at the sky or the oceans, meditation and focusing on breath. Such practices help one to step out of the Karmic thought patterns that is taking effect within us. By stepping out of thoughts, we create space within us and by creating this space, we let our inner light shine through this space unoccupied by thoughts. The more we can tune into this space of thoughtlessness, the more we can shine our inner light onto this world helping to cope with the upcoming changes.
And when in doubt about which course of action is the best one to take, you (or we) take the action that brings you in alignment with more Peace within you ( as per Eckhart!).
Hoping your inner space and light guide you towards Peace for the next year.
Merry Christmas, happy Holidays and a conscious new Year 2023.

HOW WILL BE MY SATURN MAHADASHA PERIOD AS PER MY CHART, A CASE STUDY
The native wants to know how his Saturn mahadasha will go as per vedic astrology of his horoscope.
Based on the given birth details DOB 13.08.1992 at 16:46 pm in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and the analysis is done as per KP vedic astrology padhatti / system.
The plotted horoscope shows dhanu lagna / Sagittarius ascendant with rahu in 1st house, Saturn n moon in 2nd huse, mars in 6th house, ketu in 7th house, mercury n sun in 8th house and Jupiter n venus in 9th house.
The moon is in dhanistha nakshatra in makar rashi / moon in Capricorn sign and the current ruling mahadasha is Jupiter ending on 08-5-2031 and then it will be ruing of Saturn mahadasha.
In order to learn about upcoming Saturn mahadasha, one need to analyze Saturn and its signifying 1,2 and 3rd house in the planet level, moon signifying 2 and 8th house in the nakshatra level and venus strongly signifying 5,6,8 and 10th house as its untenanted in the sublord level.
Saturn is in conjunction with moon signifying 2 and 8th house.
Moon is in conjunction with Saturn signifying 1,2 and 3rd house.
Venus is in conjunction with Jupiter signifying 1 and 8th house.
From the analysis I conclude that the Saturn mahadasha for the native will be a period for a transformation and patience which will teach the native to decide to pick right path and get rewarded with honesty and hard working. It will teach to be patience as nothing is a cake walk in life that things will happen so easily.
It will be a period which will reward the native for his honesty and hard working and life his status in the society.
NOTE PLEASE : THERE IS A CATCH, IF THE NATIVE FAIL TO BE HONEST AND HARD WORKING AND PUNCTUAL THEN IT WILL HAVE A EXACTLY OPPOSITE IMPACTS.

Super specific Astrology note. A Jyotish one. I got myself wondering about Keith's Nakshatra for the past few days and although Mrigasira (the "Deer's Head") would be the obvious choice, I see so much of Rahu / Ketu for them too. I would actually go with Mula, considering Nice Keith's natal chart since he's the Main.

Astrology Observations 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🔷 From what I've heard, a planet is said to be combust when it is close to the Sun, around 3 orbs close. So, what happens when a planet is combust? The planet usually loses control on its destiny and it ends up depending upon how the Sun's energy will be executed.
🔷 The word 'Astrology' is means 'aster' - star and 'logos' - reason/logic. While in Sanskrit, it's called Jyotisha which means 'Knowledge of light'. *1
🔷 The Sun and the Moon are considered powerful planets and are usually given more importance in Vedic Astrology or Western Astrology because they influence earth and human beings in lot different ways that are already talked about in Science. *1 They're called the luminaries.
🔷 Even though these are very important planets, I believe, your top 3 planets/signs make you who you are. Your top 3 nakshatra or your top 3 dominant planets/signs from Placidus or Sidereal charts or any other chart may be the representatives of your energy.
🔷 Aries and Gemini people, in my experience, have such sudden outbursts of anger and then suddenly they're quiet.
🔷 My mother is a Taurus Moon and she wanted to be an Interior designer but she's a Cancer Sun and became a teacher for kids from ages 5-14.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🔷 Ceres is an asteroid which talks about nourishment, nurturing and basically, sustaining of life/species. It also represents everything relating to gynaecology, childcare, post-natal care. It represents cultivation of land, farming and agriculture. It also talks about food and food related services. *2
🔷 Asteroid Apollo in 11th house may mean that a person is considered charming and beautiful inside out, among thier friends or on social media. The influence of apollo could also tell us about what we give, so apollo in 11th gives a lot more to community and in today's time, this is something easily achieved by social media.
🔷 Aries energy is quite adamant and impatient, as I've heard. So wherever you have Aries would show where your impatient. For example, for a Libra Rising, having Aries in 7th house may make them impatient relating to themes of 7th house, like finding a partner or marriage, that is why they're said to marry early.
🔷 This is something which I believe needs to be talked about, that Astrology isn't something that's going to solve all of your problems, don't treat it with so much definite belief that you forget that there's something much better you can experience apart from just what's written in your stars because in the end your actions make the difference.
🔷 Your Rising and Venus (sign and house) could indicate your style, the style you want to have and/or the style you actually have. While your MC and AC, together, may talk about how you style yourself in a professional setting.

Vedic Astrology Observations: “boy of the month” and possible generational preferences for men
Tumblr media
In Vedic astrology, Jupiter, also known as 'Guru' or 'Brihaspati', stands as a towering figure representing wisdom, expansion, and prosperity. This celestial body is closely linked with both the spiritual and material realms, often regarded as a harbinger of positive and beneficial influences. Individuals under the strong sway of Jupiter in their astrological charts are a source of deep fascination. These Jupiter-dominant natives mirror the quintessential attributes associated with this planet, displaying an intriguing blend of personality traits, physical characteristics, and distinctive energy patterns. A closer examination of these individuals offers a rich look into how Jupiter's expansive and nurturing energy takes form in human life. This journey of understanding not only unravels the myriad ways in which Jupiter's influence manifests but also deepens our comprehension of the overarching impact of such planetary forces. It's a testament to the profound and subtle ways in which cosmic entities like Jupiter shape and define our existence and traits through the perspective of Jyotisha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When discussing ‘Jupiter dominant men’, we delve into the sphere of individuals whose astrological kundli (birth chart) is markedly influenced by Jupiter. This dominant influence of Jupiter is discernible in the chart through its strong presence in the native's primary nakshatras and its overall potency and prominence. For instance, this can be seen in individuals who have key placements (such as the sun, moon, or ascendant) in a nakshatra governed by Jupiter, such as Punarvasu, Vishaka, or Purva Bhadrapada. Each of these nakshatras imparts a distinctive essence to the overarching Jupiterian influence with their one rich expression.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Taking Purva Bhadrapada as an example, men born under this nakshatra often display a conflict between polarities of good and evil, coupled with an innate uncontrolled expansiveness in their nature. This often manifests as a subtle but pronounced fierceness and contradictory character, traits that distinguish them from other Jupiter-influenced placements. Across the board, Jupiter-dominant men typically exude a nurturing yet masculine energy, characterized by deep understanding and emotional sensitivity. They typically exhibit an expansive outlook and a pattern of philanthropy, combined with a philosophical mindset. They are often perceived as seekers of wisdom, truth, and expansion, attracting others with their insightful and optimistic nature. In terms of masculinity, Jupiter-dominant men often stand apart from conventional archetypes, thanks to their refined wisdom and nourishing disposition, which tends to favor emotional intimacy and commitment over sexual gratification. Their presence often serves to challenge traditional perceptions of masculinity, adding a richer dimension to the male archetype and leading them to have their sexuality questioned.
The evolving media portrayal of 'Jupiter men' in recent times, especially through the 'boy of the month' archetype that I’ve noticed, signals a significant shift in widespread cultural perceptions of masculinity. This new ‘boy of the month’ archetype, which focuses on elevating a man as being a highly desirable heart throb based on his representation in popular media, has traditionally spotlighted men with more conventional attributes. Examples include the sun-dominant Michael B. Jordan, Sun-dominant Chris Hemsworth, Rahu-dominant Chris Evans, and Moon-dominant Henry Cavill, who embody traits like stoicism, womanizing charm, or a cold, detached and mysterious allure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, I’ve noticed a change has been occurring. The archetype is gradually moving away from these typically glamorized hyper-masculine traits and instead highlighting qualities traditionally seen as feminine, including a nurturing passivity, especially in romantic contexts, bringing a new type appreciation for men that embody these characteristics, which are mostly Moon men and Jupiter men. The allure of Moon men, such as Henry Cavill, Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio, Harry Styles, Tom Hiddleston, etc. has always been somewhat recognized, given their mysterious and emotional appeal from their understanding of women. But, it is the rising prominence of Jupiter men that stands out as being particularly noteworthy to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 2023, an overwhelming majority of men popularized in media - over 80% - have been Jupiter men. This is a stark contrast to earlier representations, where Jupiter men like Will Ferrell, Robert De Niro, Jack Black, Michael Cera, Elijah Wood, and so on who were often depicted as being sexually awkward and comically fatherly, becoming targets for abuse and judgment from most other men that aspire to be like Sun and Rahu dominant men. This trend suggests a broader societal move towards redefining masculine ideals, moving away from traditional archetypes and towards a more balanced, inclusive understanding of masculinity that embraces emotional depth, wisdom, and nurturing qualities and showcasing newfound acceptance and even admiration for these men. Jupiter men such as Tom Blyth, Timothee Chalamet, Logan Lerman, Dylan O’Brien, Jacob Elordi, Nicholas Galitzine, Sam Claflin, Drew Starkey, Will Smith, Cody Fern, Andrew Garfield, and Barry Keoghan, once sidelined, are now at the forefront redefining standards for a new Ideal.
Tumblr media
Overall, this might be reflective of a larger societal yearning for hope and direction in turbulent times. In a world where uncertainty seems to be the only constant, the qualities of a 'Jupiter man' – wisdom, optimism, forgiveness, comfort, and an inclusive view of life – might be particularly appealing, especially to younger generations who have witnessed the effects of turbulent times and traditionally masculine ways of dealing with them. It's a reminder of the human tendency to look for guiding principles and figures who embody things we yearn for as a collective society.

Vedic Astrology 101.
Tumblr media
What is Vedic astrology?
vedic astrology is an old Indian science practiced for more than 5000 years ago with the objective of studying one's personal harvest gain, wedding, and overall daily activities. It was not originally intended to judge one's character or predict his life.
the proper name of Vedic astrology is: "Jyotisha or Jyotishya (from Sanskrit jyotiṣa, from jyót “light, heavenly body"), It is one of the six auxiliary disciplines in Hinduism that is connected with the study of the Vedas." ( vedas are a large body of religious texts originating in ancient India )
this means that vedic astrology is deeply intertwined with Hindu philosophy and spirituality but that doesn't mean one must be a converted Hindu to be able to study and enjoy the art of vedic astrology.
Tumblr media
Difference between vedic and Western/tropical astrology :
for now, i will not go deep into the main differences between both systems i will only highlight the difference in system (zodiac) utilization and the overall most important details.
Vedic astrologers, use the Sidereal Zodiac, that are calculated planetary positions based on the fixed locations of the stars in the sky. However, due to the precession of the equinoxes, Indian astrologers adjusted their calculations to keep in sync with the stellar positions. Thus, their system is known as sidereal, or star-based.
Western / Tropical astrology, on the other hand, uses the tropical (fixed) zodiac. This system relies on four seasons that represent the Sun’s movement, equinoxes, solstices, as well as the tilt of Earth on its axis.
vedic will utilize the "whole house system" instead of "Placidus" system meaning that each sign will occupy one whole house instead of only a cusp of a certain house
vedic will also not count the outer planets also known as "pluto ,uranus and Neptune" because those planets are used by the westerns to replace a shadow "imaginary point" called rahu and ketu (lunar nodes) that bring the same "effects" ... although a few astrologers will continue to use the outer planets for transit purposes despite them not being part officially of the vedic astrology approach because those planets are way distant of the earth and don't provide enough evidence of their effect upon affecting someone's life yet for those who choose to include on their overall analyses will use the outer planets as one of significator of generational impactful changes and behaviors ( this will be expanded on a post focusing on the outer planets)
also along with the outer planets, the sideral zodiac doesn't use the asteroids as well!.
and the Vedic considers the moon as the most important planet because the moon is the one responsible for the mind's emotions behavior mood instincts emotional overall state, and feelings. the moon represents our inner self and the sun our outer self.
Tumblr media
The houses :
each house has their respect sign ruler and planet ruler :
aries - mars
taurus - venus
gemini - mercury
cancer - moon
leo - sun
virgo - mercury
libra - venus
scorpio - mars
Sagittarius - jupiter
capricorn - saturn
aquarius - saturn
pisces - jupiter

Some Amit Thakkar Headcanons
Tumblr media
Since Amit is getting some much appreciated love, I decided to share some headcanons about him. Please note I really tried to research as much as I could about India, looking up as much as I could and talking to some of my colleagues who come from varying parts of India, but if I do get some things wrong, please let me know!
He is Gujarati ( Solely based on the surname Thakkar, which is commonly found in the Gujarat state in India)
Amit Thakkar is not his full name ( If we are following the naming system of the Gujarati, it would be his given name, his father's name and his surname in that order. We are missing his father's name.)
He's an Aries ( Again, if we are following the Gurajati naming traditions, his given name, Amit would respond to his Rashi, the Indian Horoscope. Amit responds to the sign Mesha, which Aries is the equivalent)
His family is wealthy and highly educated, and were able to send him to Hogwarts due to their ties to the British Raj. (New telescope aside, a clue lies within the surname. Thakkar is also a common surname found among the Lohana 'Jati' people of Western India where Gujarat is, are famed for being traders. Some of the Lohanas who manage to get an education worked for the British Raj. It is a long history, but this is as best as I can sum it up.)
He is shaken from his first adventure, but secretly he wants more. (Again, we are going back to the Thakkar surname, where it is said they are from the Kshatriya caste which is tied to warrior aristocracy. I like to believe he still got some of that in him, otherwise he wouldn't willingly enter a goblin mine)
He loves astrology as it is closely tied to his Hindu religion. (Thakkar as a surname is closely tied to Hinduism, where astrology is found under the Jyotisha, one of the six auxiliary disciplines of Hinduism, mainly used for time keeping.)
He has family in Colonial India and Africa. (Again back to the Thakkar surname, there were many Thakkars who migrated to the British African colonies like Uganda for example)
He is a polygot. (Ok this might be a bit of a stretch, but I'm just basing it around his family being traders and highly educated. India has plenty of languages, so it wouldn't surprise me if Amit had to learn Hindi, Gujarati, and English to get by, yet he still has time to learn Gobbledegook.)
Well that is all I got for now. Please let me know if there are things to add!
