Real talk. Don't wanna be controversial here but. Shouldn’t shipping be something you do because you enjoy a pair's dynamic? What's literally the point in trying to drag another ship down?? It's not going to somehow make your ship more legitimate??? Ship rivalry is literally so stupid, why tf are people so pressed about the things other people like? If you just focus on the stuff that brings you joy and stop comparing it to the things you dislike your experience is going to be so much more enjoyable, I guarantee.
Just. Stop being babies whining and crying about other people doing things you don't like. Grow the fuck up.

Hello - I'm a fellow artist and would love to produce my own prints, and was wondering if you could share what printer you use?
Hi there! I have a canon pixma pro 200! I should warn you it’s very expensive, I was lucky that a local store had one with a very steep discount. That said, I’ve had unnaturally awful luck with printers (going through 3 before this one each with weird and unfixable issues) and this one worked perfectly out of the box and, knock on wood, I have never had to play with settings or troubleshoot anything.
Stores will usually have a return policy or offer warranties so honestly I would recommend looking into what’s close to you and doing research on the printers they have in stock. If it turns out the quality isn’t what you want (or if it doesnt work. lol.) you can return it and try another ^^
If you want to try selling your art before investing a lot of money into a printer I know a lot of artists get their work printed by a printing house and shipped to them— I’ve never done this and wouldn’t know where to begin but its worth looking into i think!
Best of luck!!

Idk if anyone will see or respond to this, but if you’re in game design/development, what advice would you have for someone looking at trying to make a transition into the field? My undergraduate degree was in studio art--ceramic sculpture specifically--so I know I would definitely have to do some portfolio work/skill building. What about masters programs? Are they worth it? Is there a difference in how online vs traditional degrees (both from accredited institutions) are viewed when hiring? Any general tips?

Sometimes I need to remind myself there's a lot of writing styles and different writing choices create different effects and if that's the intention then it's okay to do it differently from say X other person, since that person's style choice may not be to create the same effect as another writer's
Like. Haruki Murakami and Stephen King are not doing the same things, not trying to accomplish the same things. There is a reason one writer may intend to let dialogue do the heavy lifting and leave descriptions absent unless utterly necessary, only the most vital pieces written such as core actions. While another author might revel in pages of description, the setting they place their scenes in being its own character and such a tremendous influence on the point of the story. The author who picks to make time feel unreal and hard to grab and plays with time skips and back and forth for a particular effect, and the one who is much more concrete about time and the when's (perhaps for a murder mystery where the facts of the case are critical). Just because your writing choices are not identical to the choices of those you may admire, does not make them wrong. Your own particular piece of writing, in that moment in time, has its own goals that need to be achieved in their own ways.

1: the character everyone gets wrong
i just answered this but yeah it's fundy and ponk. come to think of it possibly also happyduo. the whole eggpire maybe.
8: common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
despite my best efforts i suspect i live in an echochamber but. spaces out for 10 minutes trying to think of common fandom opinions. you know i cannot really think of a take that has not caused awful awful discourse on my dash. i mean i guess re: the attachments advice that phil gave tommy that caused everyone to try to kill each other on my dash: i dont think it's that big of a deal? if phil gave some bad advice? if said advice was even bad in the first place? <didn't get too invested in that discourse
also i don't think las nevadas had to be destroyed for the. waves hand. narrative. or smth. it wasn't like. the root of all cquackity's evil or whatever. and i think it's good and reasonable that the LN arc ends with q deciding to build it back up again. sorry its my girlfriend
21: part of canon you think is overhyped

i saw a post recently abt shows with a bisexual vibe that someone tagged as "nbc hannibal," and while nbc hannibal has a canonical bisexual vibe (two of the main male leads become involved with two of the main female leads, and then the male leads with each other and the female leads with each other), i think it could be better defined as show with a definitive whole LGBT+ vibe
consider the aformentioned "bisexual quad-fecta": hannibal the pan-nibal, will 'trans-masc' gay-raham, alana bi-loom, and margot verger (phonetically pronounced as "lesbian"). i mean. cmon. they're perfect

oh god, reminded of how this morning, this one podcast I listen to on my commute bc it's a short daily thing that's often decently entertaining & interesting, came out with an episode topic today that was like "this one dude's advice on hiring creative & talented people who are traditionally overlooked!"
and they got onto job interview questions and these motherfuckers are truly sitting there straight-faced going on very genuinely about how "if you open your browser, what tabs do you have open?" is a good and insightful ~unusual~ job interview question
like. sir. sir excuse me. but (dis)respectfully. if I ever have to hear that again in my life I am going to bite your dick off.
