study smart not hard (altough both is best actually) this saying is so true
#my advice#but this saying is sooo true#i know some people at uni who study for exam so long and hard but then fail or just barely make it :(#like what are you doing? i don't mean this in a mean way but it doesn't have to be this difficult#i don't understand how some people can study for an exam for 2 weeks or even a month and still fail and i don't think they're stupid#or i don't see myself as particulary smart#but i guess they just waste their time a lot and i realized studying effective is so important#now everyone is a bit different and has to find what works best for them but there are certain techniques which are proven to work well#there is so much information on the internet on this look it up seriously#it made my life sm easier i never struggled in uni like i did in school and i get good grades#and if i ever struggled a bit it was because i started so late it was almost impossible to pass 😂#which is why to do both is still best 😂#but i actually always made it and i never failed an exam at uni (which i studied for)#(two i was fooled into to just try without studying bc it's easy lol)#i mean i shouldn't speak too soon but i already made it through some of the most difficult of my studies#ofc it depends on what you study how well this works but i'm speaking for myself#i once passed an exam with a B studying only 2 days as one of the best students while others studied 2 weeks#and got worse grades or failed#still studying only 2 days is stupidity don't do it 😅#so the techniques i find very helpful are ofc exam questions probably the best one#if there are none make your own#then blurting for which there are different ways but i like to just go over a topic and then write down everything i remember#then fill the gaps#quizlet is also great it's an app which allows you to create cards and then tests you in creative ways#videos can be helpful as well for summaries and using summaries in general is normally enough it saves you sm time#normally you don't actually need to know everything but you should be careful it's not a bad summary leaving out too much 😅#and i also like mindmaps bc i'm a very visual person#but all those tipps are mostly for remembering information so it doesn't work so well for other fields of study#well i hope this is somewhat helpful idk 🙈#oh and reading texts over and over again is the most useless in my opinion i don't remember much at all and it takes sm time

It’s CMA-
Okay the food intolerance one may be misleading because I had basically a freak health accident happen when I was 14, which is why I developed a bunch of food intolerances and health issues all at the same time.
So I don’t think it’s super common to have a severe intolerance develop suddenly, I’m just very prone to having freak accidents.
That being said, I do know lactose intolerance can start at any age, which sucks. I’m really lucky that I’m only very mildly intolerant, and it’s only to drinking a lot of milk (not other dairy products), so I’m fine 99.9% of the time.
Re: the chocolate thing, okay completely anecdotally, I’ve noticed that it’s mostly older people who like dark chocolate more and that young kids tend to like white chocolate more, and that a lot of people outgrow their love of white chocolate and grow into liking dark chocolate.
Sort of related, but most kids hate vegetables but grow to love them as adults. So I don’t know if it’s like, your tastebuds changing as you age, or what, but there is that.
Also though, I feel obligated to mention this as someone who studies child development, according to a bunch of sources, kids aren’t actually born hating vegetables, it’s a conditioned response. Confusingly though (I should really ask a professor about this), newborns do show an ability to distinguish different tastes and show a preference for sweet things (compared to salty, bitter, and I forget the last).
I mean according to like the evolutionary brain stuff, we are meant to enjoy sweet things more than bitter (sugar = energy (super duper important thing that helps us survive, also relatively rare in the wild so it should be taken advantage of; no to very low risk of eating too much sugar in the wild, plus you’d be working out a lot more foraging or hunting or whatever).
So idk if that first sentence is actually just propaganda to get parents to be more positive about vegetables with kids, but it does work somewhat, since kids who were raised only eating “healthy” foods tend to prefer them, but honestly it’s kind of confusing lmao.
Sorry I just infodumped so much about this absolutely useless info lmfaooo sorry (but I feel like you know me well enough to know that this is a thing by now lmaooo)
Oooh I may have confused food intolerance with allergies! 😮 Allergies can develop any time I think? 😱
I really like milk products so I'm hoping I won't develop that at any time🙈
Yeah I noticed that too! Like all my older relatives prefer dark chocolate meanwhile I'm in the corner gnawing on milk chocolate🙈
My taste in vegetables changed a lot as I grew up❤️ But like, I still hate cabbage and eggplant and leek so much 😂 I can never eat them, no matter how they are cooked😂
I used to hate mushrooms and now I love them so so much! ❤️

Skiing or Ice-skating?
you’ve been visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas future. What did you find out?
fairy lights or neon signs?
have a good evening 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Skiing easily!😍🎿 i LOVE skiing and i do it quite often in the winter. It's definetly up there as one of my favourite sports to do. I also live near skiing resorts so that makes it easier. And yeah it's just so pretty skiing in snowy mountains, the views, sunshine ideally 😍 and i love the speed of skiing haha and making those deep turns.😄 random fact about me i ski since i was 3 or 4 years old.🙈
However i should definetly go ice-skating again some time, i haven't been in ages :)

Mmh i was definetly very lazy when i was younger 😅 because i grew up being somewhat gifted in school so i thought i could half ass my way through subjects with my "talent"... even in higher grades. Well it worked with some but not all, there were those you needed to study much for or i was not great at. So that got me into some troubles i could have avoided. Also in the one's it worked the results could have been even better if i didn't do that. (which would have been helpful if ever want to study abroad) Besides it didn't give me a great work ethik ahah :/
Now it's surely better. I was not always like that only when i found out that there could be a perceived easy way for me lol. But for my paramedic training i studied so hard, more than almost all my colleagues for sure. Like 4-6 hours almost every day for more than a month. Plus the work i also had to do. It certainly helps that i found it really interesting what i studied and i can see to how it can lead to a future i can see myself in. But also i see how it did me no good in the past and i'm really proud on how much i studied for this because it really payed off. I also take some pride now i the things i know, in the things i learned. It's actually really impressive those people who know about many things or their special field of interest.🤯 I never thought about that when i was younger. Besides I suppose i'm also in a better space of mind now than i was then
Well in the future i hope i can continue that way when hopefully taking up a studies in that sector at university. That i will work hard and learn many interesting things which will lead to me being great at my profession and doing something i enjoy. 😊
