Look, like halfway through I mentioned in the tags of a post that there was so much love and devotion that these characters had . That it mattered but it wasn’t going to be enough.
And it wasn’t. Not fully. The city was still destroyed, the calamity still started, and Domunas still became the shattered teeth.
But it ended up mattering so much more than I thought it would. More people stayed loyal to the ring of brass than betrayed it. The ring of brass stayed loyal to each other and that saved so many people from the cities and kept the ring of gold from only taking care of themselves. And it mattered. In those three rounds, that love and loyalty and devotion mattered. It mattered in how they protected Laerryn and how they fought for one another and how they died for one another. It’s what got Cerrit back to his family when all he thought he’d get was a look out the window.
It mattered. The story mattered. The love and care and loyalty mattered. Yes there was a lot of hubris and selfishness at times. Yes there were moments where the very being of these characters put them on a collision path straight towards the biggest brightest red “calamity start” button but they were able to shift it *just* enough to give Exandria a chance to fight again another day. And they were able to do that because of how much they stuck together and their friendship and their love for the people of a city that was full of dreamers. Dreamers and their new dreams that would grow from the rubble of defeated primordials and a seemingly permanent ash cloud. Dreamers who would wield newly created Vestiges of Divergence and fight alongside *gods*.
In two centuries these dreamers would be left in a ruin of a world where gods were now locked behind a divine gate, magic had changed forever, and records of the past two centuries would no longer exist. Only Vasselheim would truly be left standing and the druids of the Gau Drashari wouldn’t even fully remember their history. But there would still be hope and loyalty and dreamers. Because the ring of brass started fighting back while they had precious few hours and because others continued that fight when they no longer could, Exandria was able to continue and all was not lost.

hm. thinking about going ahead and putting together and posting that barebones offline version of Mark's RPGSolo system, which is the single best solo/DMless rules-lite i've ever seen or played in my life; i've got a few more things to give a little more loose structure/prompting to people who need it, but it runs perfectly fine as is with what i've got and i think people might enjoy it. the only dice you will ever need for the offline pocket version are a d10 and a d100, if that gives you any idea of how simple it is to pick up and run.
the main reason i made my writeup of the barebones vs the original thing is that the original is online-only, and has percentages that get tweaked on the regular, and i wanted a simple version i could use anywhere and have consistent knowledge of the statistics involved to work from.
that said the original site has a ton of cool extra tools and resources, both on the RP page itself and the forums, and i highly suggest checking it out! the ttrpg scene could use way more assistive tools in the form of programs made to automate crunch, and i really appreciate the creator for setting out to fill that niche for the community and doing the work to make it happen and maintain it. the main site for the actual roleplay can be found here, and the forums can be found here; in particular the documentation index is a great place to get an idea of the basics, and check out the extra tools if you want. i'll post my pocket version here next, and some of the extras on the original site can have a bit of a learning curve, but if you're at all interested in easy, freeform solo/DMless roleplay i 100% recommend giving it a look! (and maybe sending a donation the creator's way, if the spirit takes you.)
go ye forth and have fun!

If you have a friend that treasure and treat your mom as if she's her own mother then treasure them 🩵
My mom asked me to check if my friend have any new games she can borrow to play but my friend gavs what she had to her other friend .. but then she asked what game my mom wanted since she might go and buy it for her if she can ... I said the resident evil 4 remake since mom was dying to get it, it's her best video game ever and I was planning to buy it and gifted to her myself but was too poor to do it 💔
And my friend ended up buying it saying "I was gonna buy it for myself anyway so don't worry your mom can play it first since I'm busy to even play" so that my mom or me don't feel any guilt that she ended up buying it for mom 💕
So right now my mom is too happy and excited while playing it 😂🩵
