Jared: [to Jensen, away from mic] That's a great question.
Jensen: You wanna answer first?
Jared: Uhhhhh. I will say, without - I will say that I am very ... analytical? Like, he [points at Jensen] would tease me often, because I still read instruction manuals, you know? I'll buy an iPhone, and it's my third iPhone, but I'll still -
Jensen: Who reads instruction manuals? That's just a suggestion.
Jared: I still kind of, I find myself a little bit more at home plugged into a book than out and about and maybe I use it as a refuge as well. What did SWs give JP. Um, some pretty awesome hair. Teasing. You know, I think, I think, I will say this, and kind of going back to this room a prior question, honestly I'm grateful that I was able to explore a lot of what loyalty and sacrifice meant. Without actually having to get possessed by Lucifer and die several times and have your brother die several times. So I learned a lot about how to persevere, even if I was only doing it by pretending to be someone who is choosing to persevere. So I guess I learned that perseverance ultimately, in my opinion, is a choice. And I've taken that with me proudly for the last, you know, decade and a half. Yeah.
Jensen: Uh, I would say something that brought, that I kind of brought to Dean from my own personal personality would be a fierce protection of the ones that I love. [Jared nods] And I don't mean that necessarily from a physical standpoint, like sure, if somebody, you know, if [gestures at Jared] we're walking down the street and somebody pushes him and starts barking at him, I'm probably gonna come right over his shoulder with a fist.
Jared: It's happened before.
Jensen: It has happened. But I don't always mean that physically. I can also, like, if somebody is, y'know, badmouthing somebody that I love, then I will wear them down mentally very quickly. And it is something that I will do unwaveringly. I feel like Dean, Dean was very much that as well. I shared that in common with him. Something that I maybe learned from Dean? I think he's - I think after playing that character for 15 years, my temper has shortened? [Jared laughs] Which doesn't play into the being fiercely protective very well, so that's - still trying to balance those things out.
Jared: I think you're just old, man.
Jensen: [loudly] He's not wrong! [both make angry gestures] Uh, yeah, so look I think that he would agree those two characters are still very much alive and living inside of us [Jared mouths yeah, nods] and will forever. When they surface will be what we all I think are waiting to hear and see when that happens and I know that's something he and I want, so.
Jared: We're not gone. We're just dead for now, but we're not gone.

*shoves the mic further into his face annoyingly — definitely on purpose too, to see his reaction.*
The way TWST EN localized some of Rollo’s non-punny JP lines has made me think he’s a fan of dry humor and/or makes the worst puns possible but says it in a super serious tone 😭
Like Fire, Hellfire.
The cold metal of the microphone pressed uncomfortably into Rollo's cheek, in the area right between his chin and the corner of his mouth. The infamous handkerchief won’t be coming to his rescue anytime soon, you snickered internally. A devil on your left shoulder, and a second devil on your right.
You were in the mood for making mischief today.
“Excuse me, you’re a bit too close for comfort…” He tried to gracefully put distance between you and himself—but his back hit the wall of the main school building. To Rollo’s annoyance, you only advanced, further encroaching on his space.
Wearing a dumb, broad smile, you twisted your mic, intentionally digging it further into his skin. Goading him. Your voice was a steady whine as you repeated your questions.
His reaction—would it be as explosive as you had hoped? Would he just grimace and shoo you away? You so desperately wanted to push his buttons and get your answer (or, as Ace so poetically put it, "fuck around and find out").
Realizing he was effectively cornered, Rollo clenched his teeth behind closed lips (you noticed a little muscle in his jaw feathering) and straightened his robes. Pressing a finger to the mic, he lowered it from his face and pushed it back toward you. The entire time, his expression was the picture of calm, relaxed.
But his eyes—oh, his eyes—told an entirely different story. They smoldered with the flare of an intense emotion. The longer you look, the more powerful it grows, swelling into a raging inferno of hatred.
He must be thinking about exploding me with his mind or something!! you thought excitedly. Now if only you could coax that reaction to the surface—
“… You must be a member of the school’s Newspaper Club,” he said. Polite, discreet, calculated. Clearly considering his public image. “I’ve seen you in walking around campus and thrusting a camera in students’ faces as well.”
“Kinda! My unofficial job’s to record all the interesting happenings on and off campus—and you’re of great interest to us and our reader base, Monsieur Rollo!” You rocked back and forth on the balls of your feet. “C’mon, the people are dying to know! Spill the tea. What’s shakin’, bacon?
Rollo took one look at you, then at your waiting mic, which you wielded like a weapon.
“… Your appetite, clearly,” he said dryly. Then, weaving his fingers together at your lack of a reaction, he continued, “There is not much to tell. Quality instructors and facilities… Night Raven College is just as excellent of a learning institution as they say it is. There is good reason for it to be considered the highest standard for other arcane academies to follow. Anyone fortunate enough to attend this school is sure to have a most charmed education.”
He’s just saying the generic nice things he thinks everyone wants to hear! It’s like he’s reading off of a NRC school brochure…!
“Oh, I’m sure there’s gotta be something juicy to share! Maybe you have an old score to settle with some known faces on campus?” you asked, wiggling you brows suggestively. “You know, a heated rivalry? A blood feud? Sworn vengeance?”
Rollo deadpanned. The angry fire in his eyes hissed. “I’m not certain what you’re referring to. I have only ever encountered gentlemen here on campus.”
It was, perhaps, the biggest lie Rollo had ever uttered.
How many times had he brandished his handkerchief to disguise his disgust? How many times had he turned the other cheek when he wanted nothing more than to unleash his fury upon some miscreant mage? How many times had he snapped, like crackling fire?
You stared at him doubtfully.
“Hmmm. Maybe I’m not asking the right things,” you mused, rolling your next inquiry around on your tongue. “You’ve told me about your general experience and your feelings on your classmates. What’s the biggest takeaway from this whole school exchange?”
There was a pause.
Fire, assuming a new form.
When he speaks again, his voice is solemn yet resolute. Like the toll of a great bell.
Each word carefully selected, only the ripest and most ready of grapes plucked from the vine which they hung. (He imagined flattening you like one for your insolence, for forcing him to speak positively of NRC, and the gruesome image granted him fleeting solace.)
“… I am now cognizant that there is a vast difference between myself and the students of Night Raven College. Truly, this experience has been most humbling.”
Rollo thoughtfully rubbed at the red gemstone set in his ring. The motion seemingly placated the fire scorching in his expressionless face.
It wasn’t an untruth, he reasoned. Indeed, this whole charade had been a wake-up call, exposing him to the full extent of the evil brewing at this institution. Observing the enemy up-close had been extremely enlightening.
He had so much farther to go if he wished to extinguish it all.
“More than ever, I realize I must dedicate my efforts to closing that gap. As student council president, it falls upon my shoulders to lead my peers. Noble Bell College will not lose in its endeavor to live up to the spirit for which is stands for, and in educating the youth of tomorrow.”
He expels a puff of air—as if he had been holding it in all this time. “That is all I have to say on the matter. Then, if you will pardon me, I must be on my way to my next lecture…”
Before even waiting for your response, Rollo started to briskly walk away.
“H-Hey, wait!! Get back here!! This interview isn’t over yet…!”
“Really, you ought to not stick your nose in others’ affairs. A reputable reporter knows when to not press their interviewers,” he tuts.
“I haven’t even gotten HALF of my scoop yet!! Quit holdin’ out on me, will ya?!”
You hurried after him, your protests and pleas wafting up into the crisp day.

I really didn't know what I should do with my ears and eyes, and that was quite the experience. I remember very well that after that Yasumoto-san told me "Stop laughing! (laugh)".

M: "Please, shine even more as you chase after that heroic figure that Yuuri is! You're absolutely amazing, too!"

the fact that iono is out there wearing painted and trained magnemite still sends me. miriam could only make do with hair unfortunately. her up do does look pretty similar but like. still not sure why thatd merit immediate jump to "they're related"
Not to mention, hair bows aren't exactly a recent thing either, I remember being in high school, seeing different students styling parts of their hair into a bow.
It's a very cute hair style. :V
Mimi used to work at a Pokemon Center before ending up at the academy and was friends and coworkers with a Model by the name of Naiara - which I find interesting. Because they might've gone separate paths, but some of their likes overlap, with Naiara being a model, and Mimi picking fashionable clothes. So it's likely that Mimi's always been interested in fashion at the side and cutesy things.
Also from Iono's trailers, I think she confirmed them in her first trailer that they're just really fancy hairclips. Which is fucking PHENOMENAL from the way they exaggerate some of her emotions and move around. She likely had them commissioned (or more likely, given Pokemon's recent technological advances, there might be a Rotom inside keeping it so fluid :V). Either way, they are VERY unique. So it's a lot harder for someone like Mimi to look around for one.
side note, one of the headcanons I have is that Mimi is a Paldean native, while Iono is from one of the PokeJapan regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh - likely not Johto, due to her dialect - speaking of which, ScVi JP pixiv fics tend to lean into Rika being from Johto because she speaks in the Kansai dialect, which is an interesting trend :V). Why Iono would be in the Iberian Peninsula???
The thing about Spanish is that it shares linguistic similarities with Japanese. Meaning that it's actually pretty easy to learn Japanese if you know Spanish, and vice versa. And honestly, she looks young enough to have likely gotten yeeted into the Academy as a foreign exchange student likely on a scholarship or no, and like. Streaming has reached the point of mainstream that makes it even easier for the younger generation to easily pick up on it (I say this as someone who's been streaming since they were in high school, it is a LOT easier now, since OBS has come a long way, and the access to better mics and headsets that are affordable have made it easier too, now that it's no long so niche)
Iono's been streaming for quite a while that she's finally achieved stability that'll allow her to keep streaming until she chooses to retire, and like...it's only upwards for her as her connections make it possible for her to grow even more.
(this proves to be quite the stark contrast with Grusha, since snowboarding is a physical sport career that often sees people retiring in their early 20s, with most snowboarders starting their careers while they're in high school and being in their actual PRIME during those years before they hit 20 - meaning Grusha is likely not that much older than your player character and their friends. Meaning there's a likely possible chance that Grusha feels a bit bitter about Iono's career. So do what you will with that information, and I just wish to see Grusha and Iono having petty fights similar to what we see in memes with Raihan and Iono lmao :V)
anyways that's my blip of the day for headcanons, do what you will with them. I like analyzing characters and going my own way with what I take away from certain interpretations (being a comm major has it's perks, but also GOD DAMN, am I a fucking nerd sometimes).
(sometimes, the stars will align, and I come across other people who think similarly that create the content that I'm too busy - or lazy - to make myself. Currently, I am in rare pair hell because Larry/Rika is not as popular of a ship on the EN-speaking side as it is on the JP end of things, hence my daily pixiv dives to read machine translated fanfic and look at hella nice art on twitter. AO3 only has given me three fics for crumbs lmao, I'm reaching desperation where I might fucking write one of my own)

scara/kuni likes playing rhythm games like colorful stage: Hatsune miku or whatever it's called but refuses to admit it. so whenever he does the poll of "what should i play" his comments are flooded with either "PLAY ANIMAL CROSSING" or "PLAY ---- rhythm game" or bonus" "PLAY STARDEW VALLEY :D"
idk why but kazuha is one of those "don't talk to me before i drink my coffee/tea". if you talk to him after he wakes up, he's probably going to insult and shake your perception of reality and then smile after drinking and say some shit like "good morning. weather's good toady" as if he didn't just cause you to rethink life
heizou likes black tea. kuni and kazuha are green tea people. xiao likes to drink coffee. ayato likes boba. i like drinking water.

also ik some people might say he’s the type to be a “rage gamer” and be aggressive which i can see happening if he’s super into the game he’s currently playing
but normally he’s just the blunt player who calls you out on your bs LMAO

BUT ANYWAYS BACK TO COZY GAMES
there was one instance in which scara was playing at his desk one night, as usual
just a casual gaming session with his friends
you were off to the side watching him play and do his thing but being a little bit bored out of your mind
you always did this thing where if you were wanting his attention or were bored you’d sigh and wander aimlessly around the room
which is exactly what you were doing rn and ofc he noticed
he’d excuse himself from his friends for a second, muting his mic before turning to look at you, “you know doll, instead of sighing and pouting around like that you can just tell me you need something.”
“but…you’re playing with your friends aren’t you?” he’ll roll his eyes, “i can always play with them another day. it’s not the end of the world if you want me to stop and spend some time with you.”
so once he says bye to his friends that is when you introduce him to the wonderful world of cozy video games~
“hell no.” “WHAT ;-;”
it takes you a solid 10 minutes to finally get him to try stardew valley w/ you
and for once you finally get to be the one to explain how the mechanics and such work!
“and then…oh! there’s different crops for every season so we have to make sure we plant the right ones and- kuni? are you even listening—?”
bro is already in the mines fighting mobs and getting ore😭

you’ll tell him about the romance aspect of the game, how you can date other npcs and such
and you’ll explain how your favorite villager npc to romance is sebastian (or any other npc) gushing about cute he (she) is and just fawning over this pixelated character
he doesn't like this. at all. but won’t admit to his jealousy. there would be signs tho…

without even realizing it, you both will go hours playing this quaint little farming sim game together and by the time your eyes grow tired of staring at a screen for so long, suggesting you both get some sleep for the night he’ll frown
“but we’re almost done with year one..let’s just finish it and then go to sleep.”
he ended up staying up that night to finish while you went soundly to sleep
in the morning you’d wake up to find him cuddling you in bed, arms wrapped around and just pure soft mornings
you’d try to get out of bed to get breakfast started but he’d immediately pull you closer and tighten his hold on you
nuzzling his head into your necking and mumbling for you to stay in bed with him
which you do because how can you say no him <3

Legendary Singer-Songwriter Jimmy Rankin Shares Joel Plaskett Produced Single “Harvest Highway”
On Harvest Highway (Out Oct. 13), Jimmy Rankin hits the road again, time traveling and traversing far-flung destinations—along with his native Nova Scotia—through his singular brand of East Coast folk-rock. He nods to Nova Scotia’s Highway 101—running through the fertile Annapolis Valley and down the southern shore of the Bay of Fundy—with the album’s wistful title track, an Americana-tinged road tune with one eye on the asphalt and one on the figurative rearview mirror.
Rankin teamed up with fellow East Coast hero Joel Plaskett, who produced and played multiple instruments on Harvest Highway. Recorded to tape with vintage mics, the expertise of engineer Thomas Stajcer, and contributions from studio session all-stars JP Cormier, Ron Hynes, Dale Murray, Jordan Murphy, and Madison Violet, its organic feel comes from its almost entirely live-off-the-floor takes, along with Rankin and Plaskett’s combined love for classic production.
The Cape Breton icon’s eighth solo album is rich in the narrative songwriting traditions that Rankin has been honing for nearly his whole life, filled with crackling yarns and poignant chronicles about feverish marriages in Thunder Bay, unmoored Newfoundlanders, lovers on the run, and fallen soldiers in France. Bookended by songs about home, the collection roams a trajectory not so different from Rankin’s life, with narrators who relish in adventure while also feeling a yearning for the homeland from which they first pulled their roots up.
In his early years with Cape Breton’s favourite musical brood—Mabou’s The Rankin Family—Jimmy established himself as a torchbearer of East Coast folk and one of the most well-respected songwriters in Atlantic Canada, with songs like “Mull River Shuffle” enduring for decades through traditional renditions at Nova Scotia weddings and dance nights, and through the countless cover versions that pay homage to the Rankins. In 2013, CBC listeners voted the 1994 JUNO Award-winning single “Fare Thee Well” the #1 East Coast song of all time, and it was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters’ Hall of Fame in 2020.

Okay, I just rewatched the Birmingham 2018 Strip Question panel. I’ve watched this panel a lot and always had a certain interpretation of a Cockles moment, so I watched again to see if I still felt the same. Unfortunately (lol) I did. So, at 6:40, after M brings up being “two degrees of separation from Neil Gaiman on Twitter," JA leans over to ask M a question and M immediately gives him a look.
Because JP’s mic is still up, JA clearly says “….separation behind me are you….” in response to M’s Neil comment. I think JA is asking M, “How many degrees of separation behind me are you? Two?” JP says, “There are zero degrees of separation,” to which M laughs, JP looks flustered, and JA turns away quickly saying, “Better.” M then tells him to “be careful of the mics" and JA responds with what I originally thought was nothing, but… I now think it might be something lol. (I’ll send it separately and you can judge on your own, Gunshots.)
Anyway, I don’t know if I’m wrong, but I’ve been sitting on this too long and figured I’d share. It was clearly an inappropriate question judging by their responses, but I hope my interpretation is off because I’d be baffled lmao. I’m open to anyone watching the clip and thinking something different.

I think in response to M's "be careful of the mics" warning, Jensen responds with "Yes, sir." I don't think it's in a, like... suggestive way or whatever. But after thinking he was just being incoherent or cutting his sentence off, I played it slower, had a lightbulb moment, and then had about three breakdowns over it lmao. Do with that what you will.

Looking at all the Voicebanks on the Arpasing website
This is a project that took a good amount of time to write and publish, so I’m glad I’m finally here! For context, there is an unofficial Arpasing website with reclists, plugins, and USTs to use. There’s also a list of avilable Arpasing voicebanks to try out, and here’s where I had the idea to download and talk about-all of them.
These will generally be pretty short, but I hope they’re at least somewhat informative. Many of these voicebanks are in beta/unfinished to a degree, so keep that in mind. Since a lot of these are old beta voices, if you don’t want your VB on here, just send me a message and I’ll delete it.
All of these voices can be downloaded at the Voicebank Directory on the Arpasing site.
A few of the links on the site didn’t work, so sorry Cherry, Daichi Hayashi, and Armani. I’m also not including the Arpasing prototype VB since it’s just recordings and has no oto.
For people who don’t know much about arpasing: 0.1.0 is the original version of Arpasing with 219 samples, and 0.2.0 is an updated later version made by Kanru Hua that has 334 samples. I also bring up the alveolar tap a little bit. The alveolar tap is a consonant common in american English (it’s the “tt” sound in butter, better, and letter). Since Arpasing was optimized for American English, it’s surprising that most of the reclists for it don’t include the alveolar tap! So I might point that out when I see it added into a vb.
Aero-gen Shinsu by Wolfe Nebula

Aero is a mild adolescent sounding voice with lots of noise. He generally sounds pretty sweet and light, I love his voice a lot! There is a decent anount of background noise, which some may be picky about. Still, it doesn’t affect the quality much and he works with most resamplers. Putting high BRE on him makes him sound pretty good. I generally had no issues with his oto, but the CC transitions aren’t otoed very well and some are off time.
Aino Erufu by Jasputing

Aino has a very unique voice acted timbre, and it’s almost difficult to find a song to match her. But when you do, she’s a sweetie. ^^ She has a sweet, louder voice and sounds best above A3, or even higher in the soprano range. She is touchy with resamplers but works well with fresamp and world4utau.
Aki Toka/幸兔雪 by Yukito Yuki

Aki is clear and strong and has a good tone. good tone, clear. has full frqs. got one of my favorite accents. Despite being monopitch, he has a very wide range and can go a little below his stated range of F3-C5. The mid/low range sounds best though imo. He comes with a guide for aliasing for those new to Arpasing, and a list of all the sounds which were affected by the VP’s accent. The Finnish accent does come through in the vowels and ending consonants, but the duplicates allow for more varied pronunciation so it’s not a big deal.
Akihana ENG [radiance] D3_beta by Lunamageice

Akihana has a low, rich, full voice that’s good in bass and baritone range. I’ve used his VCCV before, but the Arpasing actually has more natural pronunciation. It has been in beta all this time, but it’s still worth it to use because of the rarity of this voicetype in UTAU.

I was blown away by how good Angus was! He’s a deep, soft masculine voice ranged F2-G4 with a nasal quality. He comes with a tripitch VCV JP bank for those who’d want that too. The mic he was recorded on picked up a lot of background noise and makes him sound muffled, but he’s still a decent vb.
AWG YukiList verKLAD by Adlez27

This is an example voicebank for the Yukilist arpasing recording style created by YukitoYuki. It has 800+ samples and a lot more coverage than basic Arpasing. It’s a tenor vb with a mild tone. The alveolar tap (dx) samples are in a separate folder for some reason and aren’t fully otoed, but they work fine. Some of the VC transitions aren’t configured correctly, but generally the oto is good.

Canary has a really pleasant voice! He’s a sweet, fruity baritone with power in his voice. He’s very suitable for pop/edm. His oto kept spitting out errors while I used him but he sounds mostly fine despite that.

Hailey has one of the cutest tones one of all these voicebanks. She’s very nasal and sounds almost voice acted. Her reclist is 500+ samples long and doesn’t lack anything. However, all the vowels and most of the consonants are 2-3 syllables. Hailey also comes with an automatic updater.
鳳鐘ユウリ(Houshou Yuuri) by さきた (Sakita)

Yuuri has a range of about A3-D5. She has a heavy Japanese accent but a decent range. She’s very emotional and pretty sounding, especially in the higher ranges. Though, if you want to use her, know that her oto requires a lot of fixing, as a lot of VC transitions are configured incorrectly.
Johatsun Kikuro Arpasing by Awes0meBr0/Biohazard-P

He has very quiet samples which causes lots of distortion in the program. Nevertheless, he still manages to sound realistic somehow-? He reminds me of older vocal synths like Microsoft Sam almost. I did mess around a bit with resamplers/flags for Kikuro and the best combination I’ve found so far was f2resamp and F0g1H20h0C10. Using Kikuro requires some effort but he’s sill pretty good.

Kara is most impressive for being one of the UTAU with the highest number of pitches on this list- each of them has a different tone, with one being a falsetto and another being a shout pitch. Her range is pretty wide, reaching almost into alto and being able to hit the high soprano notes too. However, this bank really does feel like a beta that hasn’t been touched in a while. It doesn’t have a fully configured prefix.map and the oto is pretty off and requires a lot of adjusting. I also wish she used a more comprehensive form of the reclist, since there is a lot missing. At least there’s a lot of duplicate entries.
Kayaka Konagi Arpasing(English) by こむぎこ (Komugiko)

Konagi is very good, her pronunciation is clear and she has a nice tone. She is a bit finicky with resamplers and flags, probably meant to be used with default settings. She does have a Japanese accent but it’s a little less pronounced than Yuuri’s.

Kevin is another baritone voice with a youthful flavor. It has a good amount of flexibility, being sort of emotional and soft sounding but also capable of producing a bright, clear sound. He was recorded at E3 but has a flexible range and even sounds good higher. His pronunciation is pretty on point, but the t/d are a little mixed up. His dh sounds are also so short they’re hard to hear at times. The oto is generally good but might need some adjusting out of the box. He has a ton of extra samples of sighs, laughs, whispers, etc. I’ve been a Kevin fan for years and this voicebank definitely keeps the tone his Japanese vbs have.
Kii Nane by kii

Kii Nane is a sugary sweet voice that sounds best at C4 and above. Her samples have a lot of reverb, and there is some background noise which affects the output. Koyanagi Sayuki DEITY by Mango-tama

Kye needs no introduction-he’s the guy who got most of us interested in Arpasing in the first place! His abundance of pitches works in his favor. He’s probably the best of these voicebanks to just plug and play to learn how to use Arpasing-if you don’t mind waiting for all those 1000+ frqs to generate. He is by far the best in baritone/bass range. A lot of the D4 pitch actually has pitch/frequency issues that can’t be fixed without workarounds, so using him from B2-C4 is your best bet-or just using a different pitch for the higher ranges. He does have a sort-of lisp but overall, not many oto or pronunciation issues.
Marie Kagekine Arpasing (v1.0) by AdagioFantasque

I have a lot to say about Harmony, and no good way of wording it. Okay. Resonance is very nasally and high, she has 3 base pitches plus growl, power, and whisper appends, and some vocal fry. Conceptually, she seems like a pretty good bank but I’ve always had trouble using her...it feels like a hit or miss on whether she’ll sound good or not. She sounds decent with f2resamp and w4utau but not many flags make her sound better. If anyone else wants to download her and play around, I’d love to hear it.
Rose Mae Arpasing BETA by Monochrome Rose

Rose has a bright, tomboyish, androgynous voice. The readme file notifies us of the non-native accent in the vb. Honestly, I care more about recording conditions/oto/general feel than accent most of the time, and Rose does well in those ways.
Ryuunosuke Aoyama by Mattsuran

Tarek has a clear, loud tone with a noticeable lisp. UTAU recommends using him as a baritone, but I found putting him into higher ranges generally worked too. Still, I think his voice is really cute and I’m a sucker for baritones.

Thoma is an androgynous alto/mezo soprano. They have a soft, plasticy sort of feeling to their voice. They sound best from C3-F5. Also please check out Nythoma when you get a chance, they make the best Arpasing USTs which helped me a lot while making this post.
I feel like I haven’t checked in on anyone here in a while. How are you doing? I’ve written most of this post within the span of a few days and I think my brain is not capable of producing any thoughts other than “monopitch.”
Tsubasa Arugo Arpasing (BETA) by WinterStar

The Sweet voicebank is nasal and stronger too-it sounds more solid than sweet. She’s one of the vbs on this list that sounds the best with little to no edits. Her oto is smooth as butter :0

The plot of the original brazilian version of “Julie and the Phantoms” as requested:
(ps there’s a lot of differences between the og and netflix’s version so just because this is how it goes doesn’t mean that the netflix version will also go like this)
ALSO this post came out longer than what I was expecting so this is a summary of the end if you want: Julie and Daniel (Luke) never get together and she ends up with Nicholas. Their band were successful (kinda?) and Julie and Daniel are in good terms after she turned him down.
Imma try to keep this as short and organized as I can, but here we go:
- the show starts with Julie introducing us to her life. Her, her dad and younger sibling moved into a new house. She has a best friend named Bia, a crush named Nicholas and she is bullied by a cliche mean girl named Thalita. She’s very shy and an aspiring songwriter.
- Julie has to sleep in a room in the back of her new house while her bedroom isn’t ready and there she finds an album by an 80s band called “Apollo 81”. She plays the album and starts seeing the ghost of the people in the band; three boys named Daniel, Félix and Martim. They’ve been living in her house for 30 years and demand that she leaves, they disappear, she thinks she is going crazy and breaks their album. Turns out it was their last album so they get angry/upset. Daniel then messes with her at school as revenge which gets her in trouble. He’s mean to her and the other guys defend her. Daniel then finds out that Julie is a talented songwriter and helps her at her school’s talent show.
- we learn that there are rules that ghosts need to abide by - not showing themselves or talking to people who aren’t dead being some of them - and they are policed by this supernatural police force in case they break the rules.
- kinda random but Julie’s brother has wayy more scenes than in the Netflix version
- Daniel can be a dick sometimes but him and Julie have an enemies to lovers type thing going on. The other boys are just as wholesome as the ones in the American version.
- Felix and Martim have to convince Daniel into letting Julie in the band because he didn’t want to share the mic with someone
- Julie and Nicholas get close after working on a group project together
- we really don’t see Julie’s dad like EVER. We don’t know what happened to her mom till the end of the season.
- Daniel helps Julie to get Nicholas’ attention because she gets friendzoned by him
- in the span of one episode, Julie and Daniel spend more time together, he catches feelings, she tells him they’d never work because he’s ghost, he’s mean to her (as he always is).
- one of Julie’s teachers figures out that she can see ghosts and starts stalking her to see if he can capture one. Julie’s teacher creates this machine that captures ghosts and he ends up capturing the bad guy who is in charge of the spectral police and then captures the Daniel, Félix and Martim. Julie saves them.
- a tarot reader tells Julie her future boyfriend will return to her some object she didn’t know was missing. Daniel overhears this. The boys tell him him and Julie would never work. He steals one of Julie’s necklaces and gives it to this new guy at school to give to Julie leading her to believe that’s her future boyfriend (first nice thing Daniel does and this is Julie’s like fourth love interest)
- Julie gets involved with the new kid (called JP). Daniel is upset over her and writers her a song.
- JP screws Julie over and Nicholas defends her.
- Julie and Nicholas get close. Someone tries sabotaging their relationship and Julie assumes it’s Daniel but it’s actually the police dude.
- police dude says he will keep messing with Julie’s life unless the ghosts stop playing with her and showing themselves to her. They play a last show together and they leave.
- we finally see Julie’s mom for the first time in the show (ep 19 out of 26). She travels for work so Julie rarely sees her.
- the ghosts blackmail the police dude into letting them play with Julie.
- the band get the attention of a famous music producer but since the boys won’t take off their masks he refuses to actually promote them. Julie works with him for a while but it doesn’t work out.
- Julie and Nicholas make up but Daniel is determined to be with Julie. He haunts Nicholas and tells him to get away from her. Nicholas ignores her for a little bit and Julie gets mad. Daniel almost kisses Julie but she tells him she still has feelings for Nicholas and he tells her the truth. Nicholas declares his love for Julie and they kiss. Julie and Daniel talk it out and decide to keep playing in the band together.
