10 years ago next month that photograph was taken. I cannot believe how different a person I was back then. That is where I was when JESUS found me.

Today I am starting a series entitled “5 for the last 200″ because today marks two hundred days until Josh& I finish our term here in Haiti and there are 5 things I want to do every single day. I want to listen, obey, create, enjoy, and focus.

Today I listened to GOD’s word in Isaiah 9:1 - 10:4 & John 3:19 - 21. My favorite part was the end of John 3:21, “But anyone who lives by the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by GOD.” I want to love the light, I want to live in it always.

Today I obeyed Colossians 3:2. I actively set my mind on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. I thought about the eternal significance of what I get to do everyday and it helped me to respond thoughtfully to those around me.

Today I created this series documenting my last 200 days living in this country. Hopefully this will help me slowly unpack our 2 years here and process the transition in a thoughtful and thorough way.

Today I enjoyed singing my new favorite hymn with our Lighthouse workers Odette and Stephanie. I had forgotten the tune of a song I learned at church this past Sunday, so I sang the first line and asked the ladies if they recognized it- of course they did. Odette began singing the first verse and when she arrived at the chorus we all joined in. I translated the first verse and chorus above.

Today I focused my mind and body by doing online yoga classes for hands, wrists, forearms, shoulders, and upper back. The classes are free on here! One of my 1 year goals is to do a freestanding handstand for 15 seconds and these classes help me develop the muscle health to do that. Day 200 - September 15, 2017.
