RFK Jr. Floats Notion COVID Was Designed to Spare Jews and Chinese People
Tumblr media
According to a video published by the New York Post, vaccine conspiracy theorist, and Democratic 2024 presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. advanced a dangerous conspiracy theory this week that the coronavirus could have been a bioweapon “deliberately targeted” to spare Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people while disproportionately attacking White and Black people.
Now, I don’t know exactly what RFK Jr’s been smoking, but my best guess is whatever it is, Sidney Powell was his dealer.  Either that, or he’s been hitting Uncle Teddy’s old liquor cabinet again.  I mean, this guy is really out there.  Not to be overly critical, but it kind of sounds like Rosemary wasn’t the only Kennedy who underwent a lobotomy.  I mean, let’s get real.  If this dude weren’t a Kennedy, he'd be standing outside some Walmart with a cardboard sign begging for cash.
That said, and in response to the outage over his statements, RFK Jr. immediately tweeted he “never, ever” suggested the coronavirus was targeted to spare Jews, then adding that the dinner where the conversation took place was supposed to be “off the record.”  Oh, now we get it.  He’s basically saying, “I never said it, but even if I did - you weren't supposed to report it.”  Put another way, it’s apparently “just fine to be antisemitic or anti-Asian - just as long as its off the record.”
Good grief, this is almost as painful as it was watching George Santos or Herschel Walker campaigning.  Holy shit!  Can you imagine if they won their primaries, what a debate between RFK Jr. and Donald Trump might sound like?  Hell, that’d be the greatest pay-per-view of all time - watching two of America's greatest bullshitting nut cases duking it out on live TV.  Of course, you’d either probably have to be on magic mushrooms or LSD to begin to understand what the hell they were even talking about.
Now, I don’t know if Kennedy will ever have a chance to be elected President, but I do know if he keeps spinning these complete wack-a-doodle theories, he’d at least be the perfect candidate to join the honorable Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz in the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee.  After all, they’ve never met a conspiracy theory they didn’t like.
Of course, many old-time Democrats are deeply saddened by the unraveling of someone from such a “distinguished and iconic political family” as the Kennedys.  Perhaps, but the way I see it, all is not lost for good old RFK Jr. - because even if his wife (actress Cheryl Hines) finally gets sick and tired of his nonsense and divorces him, Marjorie Taylor Greene is now single and available.  And that, my friends - is a match made in Dystopia.

MARLOWE (2023)
Starring Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger, Jessica Lange, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ian Hart, Colm Meaney, Daniela Melchior, François Arnaud, Seána Kerslake, Danny Huston, Alan Cumming, Patrick Muldoon, Ian Hart, Jose Manuel Maciá, Roberto Peralta Maya, Stella Stocker, Michael Strelow, Julius Cotter, Mitchell Mullen and Kim DeLonghi.
Screenplay by William Monahan.
Directed by Neil Jordan.
Distributed by Open Road Films. 110 minutes. Rated R.
It takes a certain amount of bravery to play a character who has previously been portrayed by Dick Powell, Robert Mitchum, Elliott Gould and particularly Humphrey Bogart. Liam Neeson is a good enough actor that he should be up to the challenge – despite his recent wallowing in cheesy action features – however, he never feels really comfortable playing Raymond Chandler’s noir gumshoe Philip Marlowe.
Although the character has been at the center of many Hollywood classics like The Big Sleep, Farewell My Lovely, The Long Goodbye and Murder My Sweet, Marlowe is the first major (well sort of major) motion picture to feature the character in over 40 years. Also, Marlowe is not based on one of the classic Raymond Chandler tales, instead it is based on the 2014 novel The Black-Eyed Blonde by Benjamin Black, one of many Marlowe novels authorized by Chandler’s estate.
What can you say? Marlowe is no Big Sleep.
It’s okay, even perhaps a good thing, to try to resurrect a mostly forgotten style like film noir. Sadly, despite having the trappings of the genre – tough guys, femme fatales, private dicks in smart fedoras, twisty crime narratives – Marlowe mostly loses the noir. Instead, it’s a sepia-toned museum piece, one that appreciates the dark style but cannot seem to capture or advance it. (Like, say, a better backwards-gazing noir tribute like Chinatown.)
Instead, Marlowe trots out the old cliches in a slightly detached but stylish manner and never quite engages its audience.
Also, the very tonally necessary role of the city of Los Angeles in the 1930s – so important for both the genre and also this specific story – is played by Barcelona, which is a beautiful city, but looks little like LA.
As these films so often do, Marlowe opens with the gumshoe being approached in his office by a mysterious blonde with a case – one that is not exactly what she makes it seem. I’m a huge fan of Diane Krueger as an actress, but she feels uncomfortable in the femme fatale role of Clare.
But then again, as stated earlier Neeson is a terrific actor, but also wrong for Marlowe. He is honestly a little too old for the role. Also, his character is too accommodating, too prone to apologize, too timid – at least until the script required that Marlowe administer a Taken-style beat down on assorted bad guys. (Phillip Marlowe is known for his tough guy exterior, but not necessarily for fighting his way through a case.)
The rest of the sterling cast comes out looking better. Danny Huston and Alan Cummings are suitably oily as local gangsters, and Jessica Lange pretty much steals the picture as Clare’s mother, an aging and very cynical film star who is used to getting her way.
The mystery itself is strangely very complex and yet at the same time not overly intriguing or surprising. However, despite the fact that most of this doesn’t look all that much like Los Angeles, the film looks great. It is directed with workman-like economy by Neil Jordan (Mona Lisa, The Crying Game).
Listen, I think it’s great that someone decided to revive the mostly moribund film noir genre. And frankly, Marlowe may have been easier to take had they just made it about a random LA shamus, rather than making it about one of the most iconic names in the genre. At the very least, critics and fans would not feel as much need to compare it to the stories that came before.

Entrepreneurial Epics: Films That Chronicle the Journey of Visionaries
Tumblr media
In the world of cinema, entrepreneurs and their stories have often served as a source of inspiration, motivation, and entertainment. Movies have the unique ability to capture the essence of entrepreneurship, from the struggles and setbacks to the triumphs and innovations. Here, we delve into a selection of films that vividly portray the journeys of entrepreneurs, offering valuable insights into the world of business and ambition. One iconic film that stands out in the realm of entrepreneurship is "The Social Network" (2010). Directed by David Fincher, this movie chronicles the tumultuous creation of Facebook, the social media giant that transformed the way people connect and communicate. The film portrays the brilliant yet controversial Mark Zuckerberg, played by Jesse Eisenberg, as he navigates the complexities of entrepreneurship, facing lawsuits, betrayals, and ethical dilemmas along the way. "The Social Network" provides a gripping narrative that explores the high-stakes world of tech startups and the relationships that can make or break them. Another cinematic gem that delves into the world of entrepreneurship is "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006), directed by Gabriele Muccino. This heartwarming and inspirational film tells the true story of Chris Gardner, portrayed by Will Smith, a struggling salesman who faces homelessness while pursuing a career as a stockbroker. "The Pursuit of Happyness" showcases Gardner's unwavering determination, resilience, and the sacrifices he makes to achieve his entrepreneurial dreams. It serves as a testament to the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. Moving on to a different realm of entrepreneurship, "Julie & Julia" (2009), directed by Nora Ephron, intertwines the lives of two women separated by time but connected by their passion for cooking. Julia Child, played by Meryl Streep, is a renowned chef who introduced French cuisine to American households, while Julie Powell, portrayed by Amy Adams, is a modern-day blogger who embarks on a year-long journey to cook all the recipes in Child's cookbook. This film celebrates entrepreneurship in the form of culinary innovation and the transformative potential of following one's passion. In a more unconventional take on entrepreneurship, "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006), directed by David Frankel, explores the world of high fashion and magazine publishing. The film follows the life of Andy Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway, a young aspiring journalist who lands a job as the assistant to the formidable and demanding fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly, portrayed by Meryl Streep. As Andy navigates the challenges of her high-pressure job, she learns valuable lessons about ambition, sacrifice, and the pursuit of success in the competitive fashion industry. Transitioning to a more light-hearted portrayal of entrepreneurship, "Chef" (2014), directed by Jon Favreau, tells the story of Carl Casper, played by Favreau himself, a talented chef who loses his job at a prestigious Los Angeles restaurant and embarks on a journey to reignite his passion for cooking by launching a food truck. This film captures the essence of culinary entrepreneurship, highlighting the role of social media in building a following and the joy of pursuing one's creative vision. Moving away from the culinary world, "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013), directed by Martin Scorsese, offers a darker and more cautionary tale of entrepreneurship. Based on the life of Jordan Belfort, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, the film depicts the rise and fall of a stockbroker who engages in unethical and illegal activities while amassing immense wealth. "The Wolf of Wall Street" serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of unchecked ambition and the importance of ethical business practices. Shifting gears to the world of tech startups, "Steve Jobs" (2015), directed by Danny Boyle, provides a character-driven exploration of the life and career of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, portrayed by Michael Fassbender. The film is structured around three key product launches in Jobs' career, offering a glimpse into his complex personality, visionary thinking, and the challenges he faced as an entrepreneur in the tech industry. It sheds light on the intersection of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In the realm of biographical entrepreneurship stories, "The Founder" (2016), directed by John Lee Hancock, tells the tale of Ray Kroc, portrayed by Michael Keaton, who transformed a small fast-food restaurant called McDonald's into a global empire. The film delves into the intricacies of franchising and the ethical dilemmas that can arise in the pursuit of business success. On a more whimsical note, "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" (1971), directed by Mel Stuart, presents a fantastical world of candy and imagination. While it may seem like a children's movie, it carries a subtle message about entrepreneurship through the eccentric character of Willy Wonka, played by Gene Wilder. Wonka's chocolate factory represents the embodiment of creative entrepreneurship, where innovation, risk-taking, and the pursuit of dreams converge. "Joy" (2015), directed by David O. Russell, offers a unique perspective on entrepreneurship through the story of Joy Mangano, portrayed by Jennifer Lawrence. Joy is a determined inventor who creates the Miracle Mop and faces numerous challenges as she strives to bring her product to market. The film celebrates the resilience and tenacity of entrepreneurs, particularly women, in male-dominated industries. In the realm of animated entrepreneurship, "The LEGO Movie" (2014), directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, takes viewers on a whimsical journey through a world made of LEGO bricks. The film centers on Emmet Brickowski, voiced by Chris Pratt, an ordinary LEGO construction worker who becomes an unwitting hero in a battle against conformity and corporate control. "The LEGO Movie" playfully explores themes of creativity, individuality, and the potential for innovation even in the face of corporate structures. These films offer a diverse and captivating glimpse into the world of entrepreneurship, showcasing the trials, triumphs, and transformations that entrepreneurs undergo in their pursuit of success. Whether based on true stories or set in imaginative worlds, these movies provide valuable lessons and inspiration for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone fascinated by the entrepreneurial spirit. IDK WHAT THAT MEANS BUT DOES THAT MEAN IT'S LIVE
THAT DOES SEEM LIKE PLAUSIBLE DRAMA- aAH
ಠOಠ
UHHHHH
Yeah I am also asking what is happening xD
BUT YEAH SURE give Asher more trauma why don't ya xDD let's just go all the way!!!
What would be next idk that's two kinds of weapons maybe a knife next?? xDD
I mean obviously everyone else, especially that new girl I hope she's doing okay :((((, but like. my boy xDD. And besides I said I'd give him trauma myself if no one else will. I mean we haven't seen it YET I'm honestly assuming we will/might at some point but still lol.
Anyway so that looks ROUGH what next xdd
Oof
Oh GOSH oh no
NOOOOOO not my father son duo too 😭😭😭
I swear y'all better not leave this too long to be fixed
Like yeah feel your emotions take as long as you need but SHOW WISE I can't last that long 😭😭 xD
Anyway A H help me
That's the end of my final thoughts :)! Now onto the. . .
REVIEW
I LOVED this episode!! The patients/cases were interesting, seeing everyone navigate their relationships (existent or non) was fun, and I honestly just thought it was a fun episode :). Even if every time Lim came on screen it got super serious and dramatic. Except for maybe that first meeting lol. Still, I enjoyed those moments too! Now, a quick bit for each character/few characters.
Lim! OW. How dare you do this to me. I can just SEE all the pain she's in (everyone's acting has been absolutely PHENOMENAL by the way), but I'm scared of where this crusade will take her. Also that last scene with Shaun was mature and I think the right choice in her part for this situation but still heartbreaking 😭😭😭😭.
Jordan! Girlllll, we all see it 👀😏😎. She is crushing on him HARD, and I don't even remember his name lol xD. I think his last name's like, Perez. Yeah I think that sounds right. Wait, but the girl's starts with a P too. . . Whatever, I really hope they do end up getting together, if only for Jordan's sake :)). But I do think they'd work well together!
Asher and Jerome :D! Y'all I love you xD. But also this closet thing better not ever come up again because if it does then it's a plot point which means you'll get caught, and I CAN'T HANDLE THAT. So please don't XDD. Anyway I thought they were really cute this episode :)).
Park, and Powell! Also a quick bit about Morgan: we didn't see her much this episode but she is as always an icon <333. Rewatching a bit I did see the part where Powell skipped chain of command, and I won't say I think she was right there, but her story was really touching and I think it was a big part of helping that mom :')). Also I loved Park thanking her for her service at the end 😭😭. Anyway, I guess despite my guesses, Park's not gonna talk to the relationship lady now ಠ_ಠ. My bad xdd.
Glassman! OOF, his and Lim's scenes hurt, but I'm glad he stood by Shaun's decision even though he's angry. Even though he doesn't agree, honestly! Because while Shaun does need to take some more accountability, he really did do what he saw as the best option, and who knows what would've happened without it. Still, super angsty <333. Great yelling though :D. XD.
Andrews! Didn't see him much, a bit mad he gave Lim the report lol, but she does deserve to see it.
Shaun and Lea! THAT LAST SCENE WAS THE CUTEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. I swear, I will never get over it 😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭😭❤️🥰🥰. Anyway, I'm really glad they talked about their issues promptly, got good advice, and sorted something out :))). They're amazing, and I love them :DD <3333.
Overall, I really enjoyed this episode!!! I thought it was great, and spread the focus pretty evenly between the characters. Plus, I'm glad one of the patients got their happy ending :'). But I mean honestly? In different ways, both of them did. What a great episode :D <3.
So yeah! I really liked this episode. The next one looks intense, but I'm excited to see how it all goes down! This has been my review of. . .
The Good Doctor, Season 6, Episode 3: A Big Sign
It was so good! I'm a bit scared for the next episode, but really looking forward to it. I'll be back next week with my review of. . .
The Good Doctor, Season 6, Episode 4: Shrapnel
See you then!!
