Honestly? I do still feel a little conflicted about what I wrote about All Star back in Semi-Charmed All Star. Not because I've changed my mind about that rip, far from it, it's still excellent, but because the narrative I was spinning there was about how All Star itself has become rote and boring without proper shake-ups. We can argue about the value of mashups for all of time, and it's certainly still true that All Star is one of the most overdone mashup songs of all time. But I'm not Mr Rental, I'm not going to enact Mr. Rental [B Side] ~ Out of Options on anyone: All Star mashups are fun!! They're overdone for a reason!! And, well, it would simply feel wrong to not have celebrated its twentieth anniversary during Season 4 Episode 1 of SiIvaGunner - on May 4th, 2019, we got an entire day dedicated to all things Smash Mouth, and I'd entirely forgotten just how fun it all was. Shrek Days -Onions Ver.- is only the tip of the iceberg.

To be fair, I am also sort of cheating a bit - Shrek Days -Onions Ver.- *isn't* an All Star mashup. As the penultimate rip of the event, it only makes sense to use All Star's younger relative, the second Smash Mouth song which became immortalized through appearing in the original Shrek. I'm a Believer isn't originally BY Smash Mouth, their cover was actually made specifically for Shrek's ending, but the cover has practically eclipsed the original in terms of popularity nowadays (And really, how many of you reading have ever actually HEARD the original The Monkee's version?) Smash Mouth's cover added a shot of energy and rebelliousness to the original song that made it a perfect fit for Shrek - and, indeed, the perfect song to use in paying tribute to the band's mashup popularity.

Because All Star is great, sure, but it can't do everything. The absolute sense of triumph and fun within Shrek Days -Onions Ver.- is just unmatched, and its in large part thanks to I'm a Believer - and hell, this rip even uses the original Monkee's version for a brief bit near the end! But you've seen the rip's thumbnail already, you know the other half to this bit - JOJO!!! JoJo's Bizarre Adventure!! From Crazy Noisy Beautiful Girls!! Look, yes, I still don't know much about JoJo, I'm still enjoying its music as an outsider, but DAMN is it music that I enjoy!! Great Days is an amazing song, it's absolutely no surprise to me that Great Days Fusion Collab is one of the channel's most viewed videos, and its features on SiIvaGunner are almost all fantastic, now that we're long past the ironic JoJo rips described in Hen'yoku no Piraman. Maybe its just due to a certain other Great Days rip, but its triumphant brass-driven sound and rising chorus has always made me think of the start of summer, the emergence of pure FUN ahead - something that fits Smash Mouth like an absolute glove.

I can only do so much to express how much I enjoy listening to Shrek Days -Onion Ver.- without just telling you the obvious - to go listen to it yourself! Its a mashup almost destined to make you smile, with small touches throughout - the aforementioned presence of the original The Monkee's version, yes, but also a surprise appearance of Donkey's vocals from Shrek's ending scene rounding the whole rip off for its climax! There's no better way to describe the rip, and the entire All-Star anniversary day in general, than just pure wholehearted "FUN" - a celebration of one of the grandfathers of modern mashup culture, without even a hint of irony in sight, filled to the brim with pure love for this landmark icon of the early 2000s.

Got some autumn stuff to upload that’s by my friend, Nao, aka, thebigblackdevil5 on DA! She used Kaz’s autumn Suzi Q model for this one!

“It's late for autumn, but it's better than nothing, right? (I added something and change a little thing, since I messed up so I felt like the picture was to small so I made it bigger. O: ) I was sorta lowkey wanted to do something different so give more of that era in part 2 in JoJo so I decided to make more of a picture from a album or a little memory from POV. I thought it looks really nice in a way thought be honest I felt this more of a similar picture I made years ago but I really don't remember or maybe I'm thinking of something else...I don't know. Anyways, I had a lot of fun making this, I tried to give it more of a realistic look since I know in anime when the wind blow the skirt tends to go forwards or the side or something like that when, I sorta wanted do the skirt sorta flowing around a little sorta like the wind is blowing off the leaves which maybe Suzi Q is holding onto her beret and lightly holding onto her skirt. I had a couple of stories for this specific piece, but I had one that I really like a lot so here the little story I came up this before, Joseph and Suzi Q had their daughter, like maybe a couple of months before they came from their honeymoon while defending the The Pillar Men, the young newlyweds decided to go on a picnic together since Suzi Q always enjoy the leaves changing from green to a red, yellow or brown color to match the fall. The date went on pretty well as they were enjoying themselves, after a while being around in the park  they decide to get some ice-cream which Suzi Q notice another couple getting ice-cream with their children which she shyly ask Joseph about starting a family, but before he could answer her...well shenanigans happened! Hours passed, the sunset is slowly starting to set, Suzi Q stop on her trial to see the leaves changing, the wind gently blows and soon the wind gets stronger almost blowing her beret off and lifting her skirt a bit, which Joseph playfully say something making her playfully hit her husband on the arm; soon the question comes to play. The blonde giggles, tightly holding onto the strap of the pumpkin purse and walking towards the tree, "not knowing" what her husband is talking about, which Joseph wants to know what his wife was going to tell him earlier, but she refuses until he pretends to be all sad, which the blonde finally gives in and turns around with a gentle turn as the wind gently blows the leaves...and she gently smile saying she is pregnant, upon hearing that Joseph smile and giving her a hug since he is so happy that he is going to be a father. He soon picks her up bridal-style and wanted to celebrate, like throw a little party which the blonde just giggle. -The second idea I had that this picture takes places years, Kid!Jotaro is visiting his grandparents for the week since his parents on a anniversary trip; while he looking for a book about sea creatures which he finds and until he accidently pull out another book which an photo album which pecks his interested. He looking at all the photos of his grandparents and his mother when she was a little girl, but he gets sorta distracted that he doesn't hear his grandmother calling his name for lunch. Soon Joseph goes to the living room to tell his grandson that lunch is ready, until he notice the young boy looking at an familiar picture which Kid!Jotaro think its his mother but soon his grandfather tells his grandson that young lady in the photo is Kid!Jotaro grandmother,Suzi Q in the photo. Joseph he always like that picture of his wife since he thought it was such a lovely sight.- Yeah.....I thinking about it now, the little stories don't really make sense but I really don't care since I'm not going to change it now, and like I said I had those stories in my head because I felt it fitted that piece. XD It really saddens me a little that there isn't models or a lot of pictures of Suzi Q, my friend Kaz did a great job on making this model for the autumn theme contest and giving her some love. ♡ Man, that took to fucking long to write up, but whatever, since I was inspired in a way to make a pretty autumn piece with this model, also one more autumn picture to go and I will be done with the late autumn picture~! I really do hope you all like it since I really did put a lot effects into this piece to give that feeling from the part 2 era or a piece from a old photo. I know in that year the photo didn't really have to much color so I tried to give it that much of a light yellow tiny to it and beside it's Jojo, things happen differently. Again I really love how this piece came out~!
