(Note: What Sero is saying here is that one time Shouto had this look on his face that is described by the Japanese slang word: gangimari. Gangimari refers to an intense, eyes-wide face that comes from a marijuana high. It also refers to a feeling of emptiness that comes with the high. If you search for images of the face, you'll see it's often a frightening look. I believe Sero here is referring to the face Shouto makes at him in their sports festival battle in chapter 34, so I believe this description is meant to refer to how Shouto was overwhelmed with anger and mentally somewhat removed from the fight itself.)

I tried to arrange the shredded images I found in the past so that they fit together as a flow of Japanese dialogue, and put them in a state that I thought was correct.
As an addition to the part where the end of a word is not shown in the image, since this is Jean's dialog, it might be more appropriate to say "なったんだ" or "なったんだよ" rather than simply "なった". Also, I have no idea if there are any additional words that he might have added to this dialog or not…
It was really interesting to hear his memories of his time as a trainee, which is exactly the kind of scene you would expect to see in a jeanmarco fic.

前編
Part One
[2014/6/10 Updated]
A life-size young man with the thorniness that comes with youth, yet with an appearance more mature than his years.
Jean Kirstein was a boy who retained the adolescent facade that we all have, but who was also a soldier and unwavering.
When I told him I was going to start the interview, he gave me a formal salute and then turned away as if embarrassed.

Q: Thank you for your time today.
In the data, it says that the death in battle of Marco Bott, a classmate of yours, was a factor in your decision to join the Survey Corps. Can I ask you more about him?

Q: What was your relationship like?
Jean: We used to hang out a lot, for what it's worth. Our grades were close, so we were often together in training…

Jean: I don't know. I always teased him about his honor student ways… but Marco just laughed. I wonder… why he went out with a guy like me who only thought about himself…
Q: Have you had any fights?
Jean: It was rare for him to get angry in the first place. But…
Q: Do you have any episodes?
Jean: He would get in a bad mood if I got hurt trying to get a good score in training. However, he was like that with everyone.
Q: On the contrary, have you ever been encouraged?
Jean: It… happened often. When I was a trainee, I had absolute confidence in my own excellence, but now I think I was just a kid. …But when I made the slightest mistake, I was always depressed. It was Marco who was there for me at those times.
Q: Did you have him say anything to you?
Jean: But he just stayed close without saying a word. And when I would grumble about something silly, he would take it seriously and say something like, 'Right'…
Q: So he was your understanding.
Jean: That's right. I think the reason he said things like 'you're not a strong person' so close to graduation was because we had been through so much… together.
Q: But you and Marco both wanted to join the Military Police, didn't you? How did his death motivate you to become a member of the Survey Corps?
Jean: He said… I was a person who knew what need to be done. At first I didn't take him seriously, …but after what happened in Trost, I understood what he meant. I could see what I needed to do at that time. At the same time, I felt as if Marco, who had passed away, had entrusted me with the future.
Q: So the word 'what should I do now' is because of what he said, I see.
Jean: I also felt a sense of regret and responsibility. Even though we were in different squads, …I wondered if I had been with him, he wouldn’t have died.
Q: There is nothing anyone can do about that incident now, but it was not hard to see why you would think so.
Jean: After the attack, I wondered who would be next to die. I thought that if I was there, I might be able to save them.

A festival commemorating the 100th anniversary of anime. There was an all-night screening (for episodes 14-25 of Season 1), as well as a talkshow with members of the production team.
The production team attendees were Katsura Masakazu, Nishida Masafumi, and Producer Tamura Kazuhiko
Questions were accepted by the team here, and there was a special illustration released for the event.
An English translation of some information from the reports is available here:
Japanese sources available here and here.
TN: Please keep in mind there is no formal report for this event, so this is all information from the fans in attendance. I have no way of determining if Nishida and Katsura were joking with some of their answers, or if they are legit Yuri canon. Comments from the same person have been grouped together.
When did Yuri start using a black ribbon? (TN: How did Yuri's black ribbon come to be? - conceptually)
Katsura: Yuri's initial setting was (TN: Kotetsu's) a former partner with a lot of hair. Nishida-san joined and made him a judge, so I thought I had to tie his hair.
Does he eat ramen?
Katsura: People with darkness in their hearts don't eat ramen!
How does he cutdown on time at bedtime?
Katsura: He sleeps naked!
(TN: Lmao Katsura used "aitsu" - derogatory form of "That Guy")

EVERYONE TAKE A DEEP BREATH. HE SLEEPS NAKED!!!!!!!!!
Yuri's black ribbon. His hair was designed at the character creation stage, but when the Judicial Bureau setting was added, it became a black ribbon according to the legal uniform. Naturally he cannot just put it on. I guess his hair is not tied (lit spreads) when he sleeps, and he's naked when he goes to bed! And Mr. Nishida. Yuri is naked when he sleeps...!
(Original Tweet is not public)
I REPEAT: HE SLEEPS NAKED!!!!!
The Great Ramen Debate:
Katsura's comments on darker minded people not eating ramen, sparked a debate between him and Nishida on whether Yuri eats ramen. Poor Tamura was the mediator.
They talked about why Yuri uses a hair ribbon and when he would tie it up.
→ Katsura: Puts on his administrator's work clothes and ties it at the end. Other than that, it's unkempt.
→ Nishida: You tie your hair up when you eat ramen, right?
Katsura-sensei: (Agrees) When you eat ramen, you do tie your hair up, but Yuri doesn’t eat ramen!
→ Nishida: He does! And he doesn't brush his hair with such slow movements, ties his hair with a ribbon like this: manly!
→ Things started heating up and Katsura-sensei's water (which was on the floor) spilled.
→ Katsura: Yuri doesn't care if his water spills.
→ Nishida: No, he'll wipe it!
It got heated again lol
→ Katsura kept objecting, so Nishida said, "Let's ask everyone! Who thinks Yuri blows on his water?
→ Many people in the audience raised their hands
→Nishida: Look!!!!
Blow → Wipe...wrong conversation!

A fan drew a picture of Yuri eating ramen, sparked by the ramen argument
Questions arose about whether Yuri ties his hair up when eating ramen or whether he eats it at all.
Katsura: Dark people don't eat ramen!'
Nishida: No, he eats it!
What started it (the talk)? (It began with a ribbon...)

I can't help but wonder if Katsura and Nishida are the inspiration for the dynamic between Kotetsu and Barnaby.
There were many entertaining moments like the ramen debate, such as a discussion on their attire. They were supposed to come to the event dressed casually (in TaiBani T-shirts) but Nishida showed up in a suit, so Katsura felt betrayed 🤣
Katsura: The other day, you said you were thinking about wearing a TaiBani T-shirt.
Nishida: I often wear them... like the hoodie.
Katsura: So at first I was thinking of wearing a suit, but I didn't want to wear one. So I came dressed casually! I was betrayed!
Mr. Nishida came dressed in a suit (lol)
Nishida: No, I was really going to wear it! But prior to this, I had an interview for another work... I mean, I remembered.
Katsura: I remembered!
Nishida I'm sorry (lol)
Original Tweet
There was also another conversation about the Hero's summer attire, in which Katsura seemed hell-bent on having Keith wear white T-shirts that were 5 for ¥1000 (roughly CDN $2ea) Like he really wanted Keith to be a cheapskate 😭😭😭🤣
"It's not a polo shirt, right!?'' he (Katsura) complained to the audience. Immediately Nishida-san made a remark like "SH is a polo shirt.'' and Katsura-sensei emphasized, "SH is a white T-shirt that costs 1,000 yen for 5!!'' Mr. Nishida was convinced, and Mr. SH (lmao Katsura!) calmed down about the 5 white T-shirts for 1000 yen.
It all came together (laughs). Katsura-sensei then said, "SH is a white T-shirt that costs 1,000 yen for 5 pieces!'' Katsura-sensei seems to be very particular about SH white T-shirts that cost 1,000 yen for 5 pieces (lol). [TN: The rest of this was a question on who would wear a long t-shirt and Ivan was selected, SH long t-shirt]

All-in-all, a great read! This fan summarized my takeaways best:
TaiBani Talkshow: Katsura-sensei's Yuri is a dirty person! He won't eat ramen because he doesn't want to tie his hair back. (He's a) pasta person. And he sleeps naked!!!

It’s been a while since I opened an account on Tumblr, but please let me do some self introduction for a while.
My name is Cyberspace, a Japanese composer who creates Hardstyle music which has Dutch origins. Now, I’m serving as a producer/music video artist for my unit “Meteoroid.”
I’m born in Japan, but grew up in UK during my childhood due to my father’s job, so I am JP/EN bilingual. Before I fell in love with Hardstyle, I was a Hiphop head and Metal head, so I do love these genres as well, and my musical style is heavily influenced by these aggressive music styles.
Now I have several social accounts on X/Twitter and Fediverse, and the greeting posts are cross-posted with my Misskey/Mastodon accounts by using “SocialHub” app. I heard that Tumblr itself is going to join the Fediverse too, and I am hoping that it comes true. Also, the posts on Meteoroid’s website “Go hard for V,” which is operated on Wordpress, will be also cross-posted on my Tumblr too.
Here, I am going to introduce my own tunes, and doing some long posts which can’t be done on X, etc. Thank you very much and let’s keep in touch.
"If Yuzuru fell down, Javier would fly over to help him up." The interviewer saw that.
"I was proud of him as a teammate and thought, 'I'm so happy to see my friends win.' " Yuzuru said. Javier rubbed Yuzuru's shoulder as if to hide his embarrassment.
Javier Fernandez "About Dreams, Love and Life, and Yuzuru"
Last December (2014), the long-sought after GP Final was finally held in Spain (Barcelona). Aside from the popularity of local player Javier Fernandez, the Spanish audience was surprisingly enthusiastic in their support for players of all nationalities. The venue was nearly full every day.
"Spaniards love to watch sports by nature. But after that competition, many people said to me, 'I didn't think figure skating could be so interesting.' It made me happy."
"Yuzuru is a truly amazing player. He always gives 100% in practice and continues to improve. I have been saying he is a great skater even before he became an Olympic champion, and I continue to say so."
"Yuzuru is still learning English, but whenever possible we speak English. During warm-ups, sometimes the three of us (and Brian) share jokes. For athletes, when the rink is a comfortable environment like this, it makes it more fun to come here every day and helps them improve faster. Plus, we can watch and learn from each other."
"On a bad day, I might say something what I notice, 'This is what you did the day before, but this is how it is today' Conversely, on days when I am not doing well, Yuzuru will sometimes say to me, "Don't worry, you can do it. "
Yuzuru Hanyu won the gold medal at the Sochi Olympics. Javier finished 4th. He unfortunately missed the medal.
"Of course, I have a desire to beat Yuzuru someday. Winning and losing is inevitable in sports. No matter how friends we are, when it comes to competition, we're rivals. "
The day has come for Javier to surpass Yuzuru Hanyu. World Championships this year (2015).
Javier's performance was right after Hanyu's. At that stage, Hanyu was the provisional leader. The rink was littered with countless gifts honoring Hanyu, and Javier was unable to break in his feet at all before the performance.
"I had experienced the same thing last season at the World Championships in Saitama, so it was no problem at all."
Calm enough, Javier succeeded in two out of three quadruples. The electronic board displayed "1st place" . Hanyu's consecutive victory was thwarted. By his teammate, Javier Fernandez. Hanyu appeared at the press conference with a surprisingly cheerful expression on his face, and even made a gesture of begging for Javier's gold medal.
“Because I definitely thought Yuzuru would win. Spain’s first gold medal was a dream. I thought it was just a dream. Thanks to Yuzuru starting practicing with me, the amount of practice I do has increased."
"I had heard from everyone in Toronto that Javier had been practicing very hard. We have always played matches together and Javier would say, 'Congratulations, I am proud of you Yuzuru.' But this time our positions were reversed, and although I was frustrated because I am not so open-minded and I would win next time, on the other hand, I was proud of him as a teammate and thought, 'I'm so happy to see my friends win.'"
Javier, who was standing beside, rubbed Hanyu's shoulder as if to hide his embarrassment.
I'm worried that it would be quite difficult for Ohtani Shohei to fall in love with someone without being bound by his fame or money since he's now become a hyper celebrity. I think the only people he could genuinely be in love with each other would be someone who were at school together with him or Makino Maria.
Lots of women would approach him and the people around him would introduce various attractive women to him. But if he wants a genuine love just like the one in movies, it'll be with no one other than Makino Maria. Not with the kind of woman who is eagerly watching for a chance to date with him. Only with a simple and innocent woman just like Maria, he could get what he craves for. If he prefers foreign women, that's one thing. But if he wants a Japanese wife, Makino Maria is the one.

Pahn plunged back into the fray, his claws held high.
While Pahn held back the armored cavalry, Cleo, Tir, and all the soldiers they could gather together boarded the boats Lepant had prepared to leave the war-torn Goran region behind.
They left the shore in their five boats, believing that Pahn would come back to them.

“Is that Pahn?” Murmured Teo, looking at the one man left standing on the field amid all the corpses.
By the time Teo’s main unit arrived, the Liberation Army had for the most part succeeded in escaping to the lakeshore forest.
Teo eliminated the remaining unit and had his armored cavalry pull back to rejoin the main force. Only Pahn remained, clad in red, drenched in the blood of his enemies.
Pahn took one step forward.
“Lord Teo…”
Despite losing all of his men, it was clear from his posture that Pahn was still ready and willing to fight.
Teo spoke quietly but with firm authority.
“Pahn. Do not try to stop us.”
Pahn took one more step toward Teo.
“I can’t do that.”
“You would disobey me?”
Staring at Teo fixedly, Pahn took another step.
“I already betrayed Lord Tir once because of my loyalty to the Empire. But now… now I understand better what I want—how I want to live my life. And now that I understand that, I can’t just go throwing it away.”
He scowled deeply.
Looking into his eyes, Teo understood what Pahn was getting at.
P196
“I see.”
He let his cape drop and dismounted his horse.
“Very well. I never imagined the day would come when I would raise my sword against you, Pahn.”
“Lord Teo!”
One of Teo’s commanding officers suddenly threw off his own red cape and galloped over on his horse.
It was Alen.
“There is no need for you to fight this battle, Lord Teo. Just leave it to me and I’ll take this man’s head.”
“Enough, Alen,” barked Teo and Alen brought his horse to a halt.
Grenseal had, of course, jumped out to join them as well.
“But, Lord Teo…”
“I said that’s enough, Alen, Grenseal. Stay your hand.”
Teo drew his sword in one fluid movement.
Pahn adopted his fighting stance as well, his claws held out at the ready.
“All right. No games. This is a real fight.”
“Here I come, Lord Teo!”
Pahn ran across the blood-soaked field and leapt straight at Teo.
Teo hurled himself into the wind that stank of blood.

I joined “Gunjo Odaka” which is the artist in residency in Minamisoma, Fukushima👏 I stayed in Odaka for about 2 weeks.
I made an animation about nature which I saw and listened in Odaka.
I realised many living things such as birds, horse, butterflies, plants, and sea in Odaka🐴🦋🪴 It reminds me of my hometown in Fukushima prefecture, and made me feel my childhoods. I’ve recently become aware of the importance of striking the balance between development of the city and nature. For making a living, I feel I need to live in the city because of conveniences, but also to live with nature. So I became to focus on nature in Odaka.
In addition, local people usually live in Japanese style rooms.
I came up with projecting my animation to the Japanese sliding door which is called “Fusuma” in a room because the sliding doors are often painted with nature motifs❣️
In Odaka, it seems people try to communicate with others because the population is still small since the evacuation was lifted several years ago. I met many people and some of them are from other prefectures. I look forward to the future development of Odaka.
Thank you so much to everyone who supported and helped with this project✨
Itagaki Taisuke found it strange that the domains of Satsuma (now Kagoshima) and Choshu (now Yamaguchi) dominated the political world. So, he, alongside others, wrote an opinion piece that the government should establish a parliament (or a popular elected assembly) and to move towards a democratic political sphere.

You’ve always been good at anything you tried. It’s hard to choose a career, so why not try a few? You work as a doctor for much of your life, but as an adult realize that your true dream is to become a professional dancer. You quit your job and join the entertainer career. Basically: you’re an indecisive oddball.
