why do band guys date younger women? and what age difference does it start to get sus? i know it depends like an 18 year old dating a 26 year old is 🤨 while a 50 year old starting to date a 57 year old is fine imo because at that point theyve lived similar life experiences and same maturity levels
cause they want someone young and pretty that can have and raise their 10 kids for them once theyre 40 and are too old to get it up for groupies and strippers.
there was a member of green day named jeff matika that got kicked out that was like 45 engaged to a 21 year old and encouraging green day fans to harass her and it was beyond weird and creepy because he could have actually been her dad. billie was younger than him and his son was a few years older than her which made it even grosser.
but i think a 23 year old model dating a 33 year old band guy is just borderline. i personally would never date someone that old and theres power imbalances regarding money and life experience that can come with that but youre also several years beyond being considered mature enough to make other decisions at that age that can affect the rest of your life like take out massive student loans, decide on a career path and degree, enlist in the military, be tried as an adult and face the death penalty, gamble, buy and use addictive substances, operate heavy machinery, etc.
i think once youre over 21 you can make your own decisions and take responsibility for those decisions and some women decide they want to get with rich older guys and be mothers they have every right to make that decision and their autonomy should be respected. any relationship can become abusive and there can be a power imbalance with an age gap, but plenty of 25 year olds want to have multiple children young and not have to work and be a mom at the same time, and theres plenty of rich guys in their 30s that want kids and a hot gf/wife and dont want to sacrifice their careers for their kids. it can also work out very well for some people and they can be very happy
i dont feel like i matured very much between 17 and 20 but by the time i was 22ish i felt very differently. i also have friends that were way more mature than me way younger and also friends way less mature than me. obviously i dont know everything now either lol

hey, im trying to properly get into green day after passively listening to them since i was like 8 lmao. is there anything cool or important i should know? this is kinda weird sorry but i've been a fan of many bands over the years n love to find out all the "inside" stuff about them jdhdh
no it’s okay i love getting asks like this because i assure you that i can ramble for a very long time. i’ve been meaning to make a proper like, crash course for new fans for a while but in the meantime here’s this
i didn’t take time to get all the individual sources but if you want them let me know and i’ll find them
besides Billie, Mike, and Tre there are a few other dudes that tour with them and will show up from time to time in Instagram posts etc. Jason Freese plays saxophone, Jason White plays lead guitar, and Jeff Matika sometimes shows up to, uh, I’m not sure. I think he plays keyboard. He’s an asshole but he also shows up in a couple interviews on Green Day’s YouTube channel.
Billie is openly bisexual
Tre is one of two people to have climbed the Universal Globe at Universal Studios
Billie’s an actor (not...a great one, but an actor) and starred in Ordinary World (2016) and Live Freaky Die Freaky (2006) and had a supporting role in Like Sunday Like Rain (2014). He also appeared in Nurse Jackie and Haunted. He was in an episode of Drunk History, (I can’t find a link sorry) which was fairly entertaining
If you’re going to watch any of those, I recommend Ordinary World
Heart Like a Hand Grenade is a documentary about the making of American Idiot and will give you a good idea of their personalities. Turn It Around is a documentary about East Bay punk in general and features Green Day and is an interesting watch even if you aren’t interested in the other bands
Foxboro Hot Tubs, Pinhead Gunpowder, and The Network are all inactive Green Day side projects. Billie is also the lead singer of The Longshot and Coverups, which are both still active. He also did an album with Norah Jones in 2013
Billie, for some fucking reason, is a playable character in Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.
okay that’s all i have for now. if you have any questions let me know because like i said i can talk about them for a very long time
