Ripp sits with the kids for a few minutes to make sure they aren't fighting too much, before rejoining the adults in the kitchen. The peace doesn't last after he leaves, and Misty ends up sneaking away to Mary Sue's study. She needs to talk to someone smart.
But the play date goes well overall. Arthur is completely drained afterwards, but in a good way.

Lahaie has a highly memorable cameo and the young#cast of largely unknowns do well to maintain the artsy (if sometimes fartsy) atmosphere. not an auteur at his best‚ perhaps‚ but an old#master in reflective and playful mood. so far Two Orphan Vampires is the best of the late stage Rollin I've seen but this is by no means a#bad film; indeed‚ if he ever made a bad film‚ I've yet to see it

On Sunday, while Mary Sue is practicing her campaing speech, guests arrive all the way from Strangetown. Lilith and Ophelia bring their daughters on a play date.
Arthur has already met and spent time with Jean Louise, but he's never spoken to his cousin Misty until now, and it's not going too smoothly....
The adults are doing better, but Lilith is suffering from morning sickness. She's not showing yet, but there's another cousin on the way.
