hello! I wanted to request something for svtfoe if that's alr with you <3

So, what about angsty headcanons or a one-shot (whichever you'd like) in where fem!reader and Star become a couple after Jackie and Marco kiss in the Just Friends episode,, but later the two of them find out they are not really in love and just thought that becoming a couple after they found out each other's crush was in love with other would make them forget the pain of their crush doesn't loving them back? [in reality reader likes Jackie and Star likes Marco and they're just trying to forget the pain by forcing themselves into loving someone with the same problem?]

✧ star vs the forces of evil oneshot :

after Jackie and Marco share a kiss during the Love Sentence concert, you and Star try to move on by becoming a couple yourselves. However, you both soon realize that you’re not in love with each other and were just trying to forget your unrequited crushes (fem reader)

3rd person P.O.V

Y/N, Jackie, Marco, and Star were all having fun dancing and singing along with the crew performing on stage. Star had bought them all tickets so they could all go together and hang out. Marco was thrilled when he found out, particularly for a reason that only Star knew.

When the members of Love Sentence started singing one of Jackie’s favorite songs, “Just Friends” — she was ecstatic and took the hand of Marco, who was to her left, and started dancing happily to the beat. She thought nothing of it, but the other three did. Marco awkwardly laughed and started dancing along with her, as Y/N and Star just looked at them then looked at each other, a little hurt.

But they chose to try and not think much of it and joined them. Y/N took Jackie’s hand (and she didn’t notice), and Star took Marco’s hand (and he did notice). They all danced, having fun as the lyrics were about to start.

When the chorus of the song began, Marco turned to Star and Jackie turned to Y/N, and they all synchronized with the lines and did silly moves, pretending they were in a story that fit the words of the song.

Y/N watched Jackie with adoring eyes as she danced freely and without a care in the world for anything else. Unbeknownst to her, or anyone in that matter, Y/N had been secretly falling for her. She had tried to push it off, because they were best friends, nothing more, but she just couldn’t deny it anymore.

“Y/N, c’mon, dance with me!” Jackie encouraged. Y/N snapped out of her little zoning-out moment, and giggled, “Oops.”

Y/N closed her eyes and continued enjoying the concert, singing along with the lyrics and feeling the crowd. But when she opened her eyes, she was taken-aback.

Everyone, or at least everyone around her, was kissing someone — there was so many people, so different… yet so in love.

Her instincts kicked in, and she turned to face Jackie…

… who was kissing Marco.

Y/N’s heart dropped. She didn’t believe what she was seeing in front of her. She didn’t want to believe it.

Everything in her mind went blank, and she felt her vision getting cloudy.

She looked at Star, who looked shocked as well. She quickly took her hand away from Marco, who didn’t even bother to notice.

Y/N felt paralyzed and unable to move when suddenly, Star grabbed her arm and ran down the stairs with her, and they stood in front of the stage together. Star asked Y/N if she was okay, and Y/N just stared at the ground, not hearing anything around her.

Suddenly, Marco came down and immediately went over to them. He apologized if he accidentally made it weird for the two of them, and that it was in the moment. But Star told him that it was fine, and they were actually there so they could feel the singer’s sweat fall on them, and laughed nervously. Y/N tried to play along but she just felt so overwhelmed and upset.

After Star got Marco to leave, Star sighed and squeezed Y/N’s hand — she walked them out of there and took Y/N to her house in hope’s of that spending time with her would get her mind off of Marco and Y/N the same.

It was just supposed to be a night of fun and music, but Jackie and Marco changed everything in seconds. Y/N and Star watched in shock as their crushes locked lips, their hearts breaking into a million pieces.

Feeling lost and confused, Y/N and Star unknowingly turned to each other for comfort. They started spending more time together, talking about everything and anything. Before they knew it, they were holding hands and calling each other girlfriend.

Jackie and Marco were surprised but happy when they found out that Y/N and Star were dating. They thought the two of them made a cute couple, and seeing them together made their hearts swell with joy.

However, as time went on, they started to notice that something was off.

Whenever they hung out with Y/N and Star, they seemed distant and preoccupied. They would smile and laugh, but it felt forced, like they were trying too hard to appear happy. They were concerned, but Y/N and Star always told them they had no idea what they were talking about.

At first, Y/N and Star found it nice to have someone to lean on. They would cuddle on Star's bed and watch movies, or go on magical adventures together and have journeys of a lifetime. But as time went on, they had to face the reality that something was off. That it wasn’t true love.

They couldn’t shake the feeling that they were both still in love with their crushes. Whenever Star looked at Y/N, she couldn’t help but think of Marco, and whenever Y/N looked at Star, she couldn’t help but think of Jackie.

They both tried their best to get over them, but it just wasn’t working. They wanted to be happy and supportive of them, but they couldn’t get over the heartache.

However, neither of them knew about the other’s actual crush. They both felt guilty about using their relationship as a shield to cope, but what they didn’t know is that the other was doing the same.

One day, while they were sitting in silence in Star’s room, Y/N finally spoke up. She couldn’t hide it anymore and she had to be honest with Star.

"Star, I don't think this is working.” Y/N blurted out. “I have to be honest with you, I’m in love with Jackie.”

Star stared at her in shock, wide-eyed yet she didn’t move or say anything.

“I’m really sorry, but I can’t hide it anymore. I don’t want to lead you on.” Y/N admitted. “I’ve been pretending to like you so I could try and move on from Jackie but it isn’t working.”

Silence fell between them, and Y/N nervously waited for Star to say something. Star slowly got up from where she was sitting, and said something Y/N would have never expected to hear.

With tears welling up in her eyes, Star replied, “Y/N, no, I feel the same way. I thought being with you would make me forget about Marco, but it just made me miss him even more."

Y/N’s jaw dropped, but she felt tears starting to form in her eyes as well. They both sat there, the weight of their words heavy on their hearts. "I'm sorry.” Y/N whispered, looking down at her lap.

"It's not your fault," Star said softly, reaching out to hold her hand. "We were just trying to heal our broken hearts, but we can't force ourselves to love someone else."

Y/N nodded, tears spilling out of her eyes, “I just wish things were different,” she said.

“Me too,” Star agreed, squeezing her hand tightly, “But we can get through this, together.”

The two stayed like that for a while, finding comfort in each other’s arms. They knew they could always count on each other to be there for the other. Together, they would do their best to try and heal as time went on, but who knows what could happen during the way.

What pokemon would make up teams owned by the Characters in Star vs The Forced of Evil

I am back making my lists, and its time to do Star vs the forces of evil. So like my previous lists (TOH, GF, Amphibia) this show had a large cast. This show was also had a longer run time than any of them, 4 seasons, and who the important characters were depended on which season. This list contains my picks for Star, Marco, Ludo, and a handful of Star and Marco’s close friends. If you do not see your favorite character here, and have an idead as to a pokemon they would be a really good trainer for feel free to put them in the comments.

Star Butterfly

Star was a really easy one to make a team for. Most of her magic moves with her wand involved conjuring up animal based creatures, and I just transfered them over to pokemon.

Cetitan: Star’s trademark attack is her “Narwhale blast” and when looking up Narwhale pokemon (and double/triple checking I got a actual pokemon and not a fanmade one) this is the pokemon that came up for Narwhal pokemon.

Joltik: The smallest and (In my opinion) the most adorable of the spider pokemon, also packs a powerful shock. A near perfect representation of Star’s strongest spell: Spider with a top hat.

Yamper: a cute and playful little yellow dog pokemon with a heart symbol somewhere on its body. Its the closest I could find to the Laser puppies Star gifted the Diaz’s with on arrival.

Galarian Rapidash: Star had a love for Warnicorn’s, their speed, their furosity, and did not want an adult life were she had no time to ride and have fun with them. So I will give her a Rapidash. An Galarian rapidash because those fit Star’s style better and add a fairy type to her team.

Makuhita: Star does not always really on magic to fin a fight though, She also knows how to brawl/box. So I wanted to give her atleast one fighting type. I picked Makuhita while its a heavy hitter and a real tough pokemon its also got a very cute and tubby design; it looks like a Sumo pikachu. Like Star its adorable from a distance, threatening up close.

Nidoran girl: represents her bond of friendship/romantic with Marco. He has a boy one.

Marco Diaz

Solrock: Marco was originally going to be named Sol. He is also represented in that Prophatic image as the Sun right? Star is an actual star and Marc is the sun, they are together? Pretty sure I remember that. If Marco is represented by the sun n the show than it’s only fair I carry that over onto my team by giving him a solrock.

Lucario: Marco loves and does karate, so I picked a fighting type that’s method of fighting it more simlar to karate for him.

Shiny charizard: I really wanted to give him a dragon type to reresent his dragoncycle Nacho’s. The Original one I had picked out was another Fame made non offical pokemon (I have to be more careful of those). Of offical pokemon Charizards Shiney form. I think its still fair that this be his strongest. He did spend decades training and fighting with Nacho’s in Hekapoo’s dimension

Kirlia: a graceful and feminie pokemon to represent Marco’s super popular princess persona Princess Turdina. Also to give him a fairy type as well.

Nidoran boy: represents his bond of friendship/romance with Star. She has a girl one.

Ludo Avarius

Mimikyu: A fairy and dark pokemon that has issues with its appearence as well as mentality, and can also mess with the mental state of others. I am not sure if Ludo and Mimikyu would make each other better or worse, or worse than better (hopefully that one). But that they would be a very intresting and entertaining partnership of that I am sure.

So Ludo’s monster henchmen in season 1 were not the best as we can all agree (Sorry about that Buff Frog. We all know you did try). But in season 2 he had a pretty strong team, what with Bird, Spider, and those rats. To represnt them I will give him a Sparrow, an Aridos, and a Alalon Rattata.

Rufflet and Vullaby: These represent his brothers and sisters. The ones who after going through everything he did, he was able to go back and save from their awful parents.

I gave these three teams of six since they were arguably main characters. The rest of the list will be notable secondary characters, who will each get three.

Janna Ordonia

Haunter: Both it and Janna like to scare/prank people

Nickit: a theif pokemon that helps Janna swipe other peoples stuff

Klefki: It helps Janna break into places she is otherwise not allowed

Tom Lucitor

Scorbunny, Litleo, Fennekin.

I gave Tom each of these three for the same number of reasons. Firstly they are all fire types, and Tom is a fire demon. Secondly all of them are fuzzy and adorable, and in the show Part of Toms anger management therapy involves soothing himself by petting/playing with cute fuzzy animals. I could see eaxh of these three being part of his therapy (yes I did look up “fire bunny pokemon specfically to find one to represent Marshmellow) Lastly while they are in no threatening, cutesy, first forms now, they all evolve into very strong battlers. Once Tom got his own temper under enough control that he could handle pokemon battles he could do pretty well with these three.

Jackie Lynn Thomas

Chimecho: She has a very soothing appearence and personality. She also told Marco that one time she is into soft rock. So I gave her a soothing, soft toned, music pokemon

Baltoy: She also told him she was really into studying history. Baltoy may not be a fossile pokemon, but it is historic. In addition to that it has great balance to stay perpetually spinning in place like that. Jackie also has great balance on her skateboard

Vaporeon: So despite fans best efforts and theorising, the show creator never did reveal Jackie to secretly be a mermaid, who’s able to live on land becasue her shell necklace is actually a magical amulet that when worn exchanges her see tail for a pair of land legs. But it was a great theory, and she does give off very beachy, merlike, vibes. So idecided to give her a merlike water pokemon, that could travel both in water and on land. Also I had to exclude Vaporeon from my Gravity Falls list, and still really wanted to give it to someone cool.

Kelly.. Huh looks like she was about the only character to not get a last name. Wow. Okay just Kelly

Galatian Moewth, Mankey, Tangrowth

Like with Tom all three of Kelly’s Pokemon were ones I picked for the same reasons. Those reasons were that all three are tough, scrappy, pkemon; completely covered from head to toe in wild, untameable, hair.

Eclipsa Butterfly

I wasn’t gonna do Eclipsa at first, simply becasue I wanted to keep the secondary characters evenly split between earth and mewni characters. But she is like the third most iconic character in the show and I had to do her.

Spiritomb: You know dark types would be her favoite, and I feel like the more sinister lore with Spiritomb would really intrigue her and make her want one.

Honchkrow: eyes in the sky to replace he all seeing eye spell . They also have basically the same taste in hats, so there’s that.

Roserade: She says in the beganing of season 3 that she loves roses.

Oskar Greason

(why does he get a last name when Kelly didn’t?) Here let me throw Oskar in as well as Eclipsa to keep numbers more even.

Toxel: To represent his interest in playing music.

Furret: Because he has a pet ferret

Noibat: goes with his whole bad boy musician vibe, and with the added bonus that it would maybe be able to freak out his mom’s boyfriend whom he is implied to absolutely hate.

While the breakup was inevitable (especially if you read the comics), I think the show handled it phenomenally with it being even better than how it was done in the comics. Steven Yeun and Zazie Beetz absolutely killed it in this scene with you really being able to hear the heartbreak in both of their voices as Mark and Amber realize that for as much as they love each other, they can't make this relationship work. Then you have the "I can't live in your world, I want to, but I can't." which👏👏👏. That is some absolute peak writing. I haven't consumed many stories that actually treat the breakup as a heartbreaking moment for both characters involved since it's usually just treated as a minor obstacle to prevent the main romance from happening sooner. While I'm fine with that in some cases, I feel like it's a disservice when the main character's temporary love interest is a genuinely interesting and fun character who has a good rapport with them. In that same regard, it has been a nice change of pace to see characters who do care for each other attempt to make things work and talk about the issues before accepting that what they have just isn't going to work.

It's also a good commentary on the nature of superhero/civilian relationships since while someone like Debbie was able to handle the stress of it, Amber isn't able to do so. And that doesn't make her weak or a pushover, it makes her human because not everyone is built to handle that kind of life and it's totally understandable.

I'm actually surprised that it wasn't a thing during S2. Imagine if JLT became a bigger part of Marco and Star's adventures when Marco and JLT start dating and Star started to see why Marco likes her and develops a crush on her too and has to figure out her feelings for both Marco and Jackie Lynn.

Jackie Lynn would be both the "down to earth" and "rebel with a cause" for both Marco and Star in this relationship.

Summary: Springtime is doing strange things to Dr. Ramsey - but is that really the cause?

A/N: Just a little fluff. It takes place after they've come to peace about Miami, but before the real drama of book 1 begins. @aprilchallenge - Sunny

“Morning, Maureen,” Ehtan nodded.

“Dr. Ramsey," smiled in return. But something about him was different today.

She turned in confusion as he walked away. While Ramsey was a certified curmudgeon to most of Edenbrook’s staff, they always shared a friendly rapport. But today… something was off… he seemed lighter, at peace… very unlike himself. Unable to figure it out, she shrugged and walked away. Maybe it wasn’t him… it could have been that double shot of espresso she had.

Ethan entered his office, and once the door was safely closed behind him… he smiled. A genuine smile he was unaware of himself. If he had realized it, he wouldn’t have been able to tell you why it was there. Maybe it was because spring had finally arrived in Boston, the sun’s bright rays finally taking the chill out of the winter air that always seemed to linger too long in his hometown. On his walk to work, he noticed the flowers were finally beginning to bloom. He noticed.

He opened a window before beginning his workday, may as well let some of that fresh air in. And even he’d admit, the day was off to a good start. But that could only last so long…

“… there is no way you’re placing higher than me this week,” an obnoxious, overconfident voice bellowed. “I was the one who noticed Mr. Johnson's arrhythmia. That’s easily bumping me up two spots….”

“You’re also the idiot who prescribed penicillin to Ms. Diaz, even though her chart clearly says she’s allergic, butthead.”

“But I caught it!”

“Yeah,” Jackie reacted. “By running down the hall and grabbing it out of Nurse Sarah’s hand ten seconds before she gave it to her. Real impressive, Landry.”

“Interns….” Ethan grumbled under his breath. If there was anything that could sour his mood, it was interns…

“But I also helped solve Suzan Marcos’s bladder problem. I’ve had a banner week. What do you say, Kaycee?”

Ethan’s eyes opened wide at her name; suddenly, eager to hear every word.

“What? I was only half-listening… what are we talking about?”

“How I’m definitely passing Jackie… maybe even you in the rankings today. What do you say?”

“I say you should worry about doing your job, which is learning and helping save patients. That’s what we’re supposed to be here for… not worrying about where we rank in this competition.”

Ethan smirked proudly and sunk back into his chair. He wasn’t prepared to admit it, but at least one intern didn’t make his skin crawl. He closed his eyes momentarily and was grateful for the voice that pulled him back to reality. After all, his mind was drifting to a place it had gone before, a place that filled him with confusion. It was better not to go there. The only problem was, the voice belonged to…

“Dr. Ramsey… Dr. Ramsey?”

“Kaycee…” he coughed, pulling himself out of his fog. “What… what can I do to you?”

She giggled so low it was barely audible, but there was no missing her red cheeks or the satisfied smirk on her face.

“FOR YOU!” Horrified, he immediately corrected himself. “I’m so sorry. I meant for you.”

“Hmmm, wonder what Freud would say about that?” she teased. But quickly returned to professional mode. They had made such progress since the awkward time that followed their trip to Miami, and the last thing Kaycee wanted to do was return to that.

“I’m sorry,” she apologized. “Let’s start this conversation over.”

“I’d like that,” he nodded, relief in his eyes.

“Good Morning, Dr. Ramsey.”

“Dr. MacClennan. What can I do for you?”

Her mind raced to at least half a dozen witty comebacks, but Kaycee MacClennan didn’t get to where she was today by being foolish, so she carried on.

“You told me to reconvene with you after I’d had a chance to research Mr. Dodd’s case. I have, so I wanted to see when we could schedule a time to discuss.”

“You have?” he asked, surprised and not in a good way.

“I have,” she answered more defensively than she had intended.

With a sigh, Ethan took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes. So much for one intern not getting to him.

“Dr. MacClennan, when I ask an intern to research a case, I expect them to put in an appropriate amount of time to review….”

“... and I did….”

“Did you?” He asked with a raised brow. “All right. Tell me, what sources did you use?"

Kaycee rattled off a litany of text, journal articles, test findings, and even some smaller clinical studies that he had to admit he hadn’t known about.

She took a deep breath and continued. “I also discussed the case with Dr. Emery because she operated on one of the patients mentioned in the Lincoln study. And Dr. Emery said….”

“Kaycee… Kaycee… he interrupted. I’m sorry. I owe you an apology. Most interns… hell, most attendings wouldn’t have been able to do that much in such little time.”

“Well,” she demurred. “Apology accepted. Now, when can we discuss?”

“How about at the end of your shift today.”

“That’s perfect,” she smiled. “I’ll see you then.”

Hours passed, and Ethan felt his stomach rumbling. He decided a walk to Derry’s was in order. On the way, spring fever overtook the doctor again. This time, he noticed and wasn’t sure that he liked it. How could he be expected to reign in interns in this condition? He began to hope for an errant pigeon to fly overhead and poop on him just to sour his mood, then he found himself laughing out loud at the sheer absurdity of the thought.

A few tourists looked over his way, and it only took one stern glare for them all to turn away. He wished he was walking into Donahue’s at the end of his shift rather than Derry’s in the middle. That would have better suited his needs. But Derry’s would have to do.

Dozens of patients, numerous crises, several sulking interns, and more paperwork than any physician should ever have to endure later, Ethan closed the window in his office. The sun had long set, taking the warmth it had delivered along with it. Still, even as darkness and that familiar Boston chill returned, something felt different.

“Dr. Ramsey?”

“Dr. MacClennan.”

Ethan returned to his desk and motioned for Kaycee to take a seat. She had ranked number one again today, and Ethan was beginning to doubt if she had any real competition. But she made no mention of it, good or bad; she just went about her work. He didn’t need any more to be impressed with Dr. MacClennan. Still, he found more reasons to be with each passing day.

“So, tell me what you discovered,” he barked, insistent that he would not play favorites.

“Well, I know the consensus is it’s a kidney issue, but I’m not so sure. If you look at Mr. Dodd’s most recent test results….”

Forty-five minutes later, Kaycee wrapped up a brilliant presentation. Ethan interrupted with questions throughout, attempting to throw her off her game and make her think on her feet, but he only managed to stump her once. Kaycee was already on to Ethan, and she knew he had the answers before he handed her the case. So now she sat back and waited.

His expression was unreadable. He twisted in his chair and rubbed his chin much longer than she had expected, and she started to worry that she had been overconfident. Unable to take it anymore, she finally asked.

“Well?”

She sighed with relief when a small smile tugged at his lips. Then he turned his laptop around and told her to read his findings. They aligned precisely, except for one additional discovery Kaycee had made.

“I guess I was off on that…” she started.

“No, you caught it, and I didn’t.”

“Really?” She said, unable to conceal her surprise.

“Really.”

“Is this where you tell me never to mention that outside of this room?”

“No,” Ethan snickered. “I know I can be difficult, and sometimes I can seem like….”

“… a total pain in the ass?” She finished, relieved when Ethan smiled back.

“I have been called worse. But, I will never take credit for work someone else has done. That’s not the kind of doctor… it’s not the kind of person I am. You did phenomenal work, MacClennan. You keep earning your spot.”

“Thank you,” she nodded. Keeping the loud “YES!!!!” that she’d exclaim later at bay. “Well, if that’s all then….”

“Oh, of course! I’m sure you’ve had a long day, and your shift ended an hour ago."

“Yes,” Kaycee teased, “and I’m sure you and your little friend would like some alone time.”

“I’m… I’m sorry?” he asked, befuddled.

Kaycee grinned and pointed to the chocolate rabbit next to his laptop.

“I should have known you were a chocolate bunny guy,” she said, gathering her papers. “After all, I saw how you eyed that chocolate bar at the vending machine on day one.”

“Oh,” Ethan chuckled. “I forgot about that! Actually… it’s for you.”

She nearly dropped her files, clasping them close to her chest to prevent them from falling to the floor.

“For me?” she asked.

“Yes. I saw it at Derry’s, and I figured you were an Eastery kind of person.”

“An Eastery kind of person?”

“Would you just take the bunny, MacClennan?”

“Thank you,” she beamed. “I mean I’m not really….”

“Not really what?”

“An “Eastery kind of person”, I’m agnostic.”

“Oh?”

“But we can’t let my Nonna know that. She’d have the Pope on the phone with me by noon!"

“Well, we can’t have that,” he grinned. “So, you don’t celebrate? I hope I didn’t offend….”

“Oh, no! Not at all! My family celebrates, and I usually celebrate with them. I don't have to be religious for that. But this year, I'm afraid I'll be here."

“The life of a doctor.”

“The life of a resident.”

Kaycee noticed Ethan eyeing the bunny, and she held back a chuckle. It was amusing how much he looked like a little boy staring at his Easter basket on Easter morning.

"Ethan, that is an awful lot of chocolate for one person. Would you like to share it with me?"

"Say this is an awful lot of chocolate. Want to share some with me?"

"Oh, you don't have to..." he started, embarrassed.

"I want to."

She broke off a piece and handed it to him, telling him work talk was off the agenda. They spent the next hour laughing, talking about childhood Easters and when Ethan was forced to play the Easter Bunny in college. He asked if she missed being away from her family this year.

"Well, of course. I love them, but we'll celebrate on my next day off. What I will miss is my mom's braciole. She makes it every Easter and it's to die for."

"I've only had braciole once or twice..."

"Really?" Kaycee said with wide eyes. "You have not even started to live, Dr. Ramsey!"

"So I hear," he chuckled. "There has to be a restaurant that has it in the North End."

"I'm sure there is," she replied as the conversation began to linger. "Well, I should go."

"Yes, it's late. Be careful getting home."

"I will," she smiled. She had barely made it to the door when Ethan called out her name.

"MacClennan?" He said urgently.

"Yes?"

"I'm working Sunday, too. If I find a place that makes braciole... I can bring some in and we can have lunch together."

"Oh?" She said with wide eyes.

"Yes... you know... to go over... the Dodd case."

"The one we just solved," she grinned.

"Kaycee," he smirked. "Would you like me to get us braciole?"

"Yes," she laughed. "Yes, Ethan, I would love it if you got us braciole."

She stopped herself short from saying it was a date; she knew the man would backtrack at once. But when Kaycee left the office, she broke off a piece of the chocolate bunny and popped it into her mouth with a smile. The day had turned out much better than she had expected. Spring was the sweetest season.
