Hi baaaabe. Could I plz have a drabble for unconscious or faint or collapse? With either MFMM (either Jack/Phryne or reader insert) or Star Trek (either McCarol or Leonard/Reader) please? :D :D Thanks beb!!
Well, this is longer than a typical ficlet, so it gets a header and goes behind a cut lol.
Fandom: Star Trek AOS.
Pairing: McCarol.
Word Count: 1050.
Rating: Teen+.
Warning(s): asphyxiation.
Tumblr media
Leonard eyed the control console warily, searching for the button Carol had instructed him to press.  She was standing in the airlock on the other side of the interior doors, half-concealed by an open maintenance hatch door as she worked on a conduit.  He glanced up at her briefly, his finger hovering over the button she’d indicated.
“You’re sure it’s this one?”
He could practically feel her rolling her eyes as she commed him back.
“Yes, Leonard.  Come on, now; we haven’t got all day.”
He grunted at her dismissive tone but complied at last, pushing the button to restore power to the circuits she was rewiring.
An alarm sounded as twin red, flashing lights over the airlock doors blinked to life, signaling that the air inside was about to be evacuated.  Leonard leapt back from the console, cursing as the wrench in Carol’s hand clattered to the floor in the other room.  His eyes met hers as she ducked out of the maintenance hatch and he felt his heart drop at the look of panic on her face.
Leonard rushed forward, splaying his hands on the glass that separated them as he watched Carol stumble forward, her breath quickly growing ragged as the air was evacuated from the chamber she was in.  She clutched at her throat, the muscles in her neck straining as as tried in vain to draw a breath.
Struck dumb for how to proceed, Leonard reached for the comm on his belt.
“Scotty, I need you in the cargo bay, now!”
The terror in his voice must have come across crystal clear on the other end as Scotty didn’t question his request, he simply replied in the affirmative.
The minute that followed was the longest one Leonard had ever lived through as he watched Carol struggle against the growing hypoxia.  She sank to her knees, her face fading from an agitated flush to a ghastly pallor, her lips beginning to turn a dusky blue.  Her eyelids fluttered as the seconds ticked by, and Leonard cursed out loud as she eventually crumpled to the floor, lifeless.
He banged on the glass, completely missing the sound of footsteps behind him as Scotty rushed into the room.  Taking in the scene before him, the chief engineer immediately realized what the trouble was.  He bounded over to the console, skidding to a stop and hitting the repressurization key.  When that failed to right the issue, he keyed in an override code that finally disabled the airlock.
Leonard continued his frantic pounding on the door as the room aerated with a hiss from the air pumps.  He all but launched himself forward as the airlock opened what felt like eons later, dropping to his knees at Carol’s side.  He leaned over her, pressing his fingertips to her carotid pulse point as he shook her shoulder with his free hand.
“Carol, wake up,” he said firmly, desperately.  “Come on, breathe.”
Her pulse was fast and thready beneath his touch and he cursed as her chest remained motionless.  He pressed his knuckles to her sternum, rubbing firmly in an attempt to trigger her respiratory reflex, but to no avail.  Shaking his head to dispel the panic a little, he tilted her head back to open her airway and bent low, giving her two steady breaths.
He leaned back, his eyes immediately going to her chest, watching, his own breath coming short as the seconds ticked by.  Even the sound of the medical team Scotty had summoned arriving wasn’t enough to take his attention away from his vigil.  As the team swooped in to help, he leaned in again, ready to breathe for her once more, but before he could make contact he felt her twitch beneath him, heard her inhale sharply as her lungs finally recalled their purpose.
Sitting back on his heels, Leonard cupped her face in his hands, letting out a shaky exhale as her breathing began to settle.  It was a little too quick and a little too shallow, but it was purposeful and an absolute relief.  He pulled back a bit, just enough for the team to put an oxygen mask over Carol’s face, and took to holding her hand instead as they moved her onto a stretcher.
“Open your eyes, darlin’,” he encouraged as they started toward med bay.
He only glanced away from her face long enough to check her vitals with a quick pass of a tricorder, then returned to his watch.  His heart beat heavily in his chest as guilt for what had happened washed over him.  Had he pressed the wrong button?  Had he pressed it too soon?  Too late?  Whatever had happened, he waited with bated breath for any sign that she was coming around, any indicator that she hadn’t been without oxygen for too long because of something he’d done.
It felt like hours went by before she finally began to stir.  As they transferred her onto a proper bio bed in med bay, Carol squeezed Leonard’s hand, tossing her head weakly.  He’d never felt as much relief as he did when she blinked her eyes open a moment later, meeting his gaze.  He waved a hand, dismissing the nurses that had descended on them, putting a temporary hold on an assessment so he could lean in close and stroke her hair, to press a gentle kiss to her forehead.
“What happened?”  Carol asked groggily.
“I’m so sorry,” Leonard murmured, touching his forehead to hers.  “God, I’m sorry.”
The heartache in Leonard’s voice was so visceral that even in her addled state Carol knew better than to push the question.  Instead, she reached up, wrapping her arms around him and holding him close as he burrowed his face into her hair.  He let a few tears slip into her locks, overwhelmed by everything that had transpired.  He hid his emotions quickly, though, sniffing quietly as he pulled away and clearing his throat as he reached for a holoscanner.
Leonard’s distress didn’t escape Carol’s notice, but she was tactful enough not to say anything in the middle of the med bay.  Instead, she laid back quietly, submitting herself to his fretting, knowing that at that moment he needed nothing more than to take care of her.  Everything else would come in time.

BOOKS I READ IN 2009
Looking through my Facebook page I found a list I made of all the books I read in 2009. I think that might have been the first years I did the 50 book challenge. This was before I used goodreads on a regular basis, and I copied this from a little notebook I used to record what I had read. 2009 might have been one of the best of my reading years till this day.
Here it is in all it’s dullness:
Month/Books/date finished January: "Fast Ships, Black Sails" by Ann & Jeff Vandermeer. 1/9 "Amulet" by Roberto Bolaño. 1/13 "Fireworks" by Angela Carter. 1/29 "Swords & Deviltry" by Fritz Leiber. 1/24 February: "Swords Against Death" by Fritz Leiber. 2/? "The Dying Earth" by Jack Vance. 2/18 "Swords in the Mist" by Fritz Leiber. 2/20 "Swords Against Wizardry" by Fritz Leiber. 2/23 "Eyes of the Overworld" by Jack Vance. 2/27 March: "Eeeee Eee Eeee" by Tao Lin. 3/2 "Cugels Saga" by Jack Vance. 3/9 "Swords of Lankhmar" by Fritz Leiber. 3/19 April "Lyonesse; Suldruns Garden" by Jack Vance. 4/2 "The Judging Eye" by R. Scott Bakker. 4/15 "Naked" by David Sedaris. 4/18 May: "Lyonesse: the Green Pearl" by Jack Vance. 5/? "Lyonesse: Madouc" by Jack Vance. 5/22 "The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao" by Junot Diaz. 5/30 June: "The Savage Detectives" by Roberto Bolaño. 6/19 "All the Days Sad Stories" by Tina May Hall. 6/2 "the Convalescent" by Jessica Anthony. 6/30 July: "The Sword of Rhiannon" by Leigh Brackett. 7/12 "God is Dead" by Ron Currie, Jr. 7/12 "Harry Potter & the Sorcerers Stone" by J. K. Rowling. 7/17 "Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets" by J. K. Rowling. 7/23 August: "2666" by Roberto Bolaño. 8/? September: "Saturns Children" by Charles Stross. 9/18 "Lamentation" by Ken Scholes. 9/20 "The Collectors" by Matt Bell. 9/? October: "The City & The City" by China Mieville. 10/1 "Tunneling to the Center of the Earth" by Ken Wilson. 10/5 "Wild Things" by Dave Eggers. 10/? "You Don't Love Me Yet" by Jonathan Lethem. 10/7 "33 1/2: In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" by Kim Cooper. 10/8 "Sword of the Lictor" by Gene Wolf. 10/? "Citadel of the Autarch" by Gene Wolf. 10?/ "Martian Chronicles" by Ray Bradbury. 10/23 "Nightside the Long Sun" by Gene Wolf. 10/27 "Lake of the Long Sun" by Gene Wolf. 10/30 November: "Finch" by Jeff Vandermeer. 11/2 "Calde of the Long Sun" by Gene Wolf. 11/5 "Exodus from the Long Sun" by Gene Wolf. 11/12 "Sabella" by Tanith Lee. 11/? "Kill the Dead" by Tanith Lee. 11?/ "Yellow Blue Tibia" by Adam Roberts. 11/20 "The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart" by Jesse Bullington. 11/26 December: "The Birthgrave" "Vazkor, Son of Vazkor" "Quest for the White Witch" "Volkhavaar" ALL by Tanith Lee. Finished ? "Songs of the Dying Earth" Various. Notes: Read waaaay to much genre fiction! Was obsessed with reading books that inspired Gary Gygax, but barely dented his famous(?) "Appendix N". June and August were the only months I didn't read any genre books, but August was summer/work/ and Bolano's ginormous 2666, which also happened to be the best book I read this year. Year ended so/so with all that damn Tanith Lee I read. I can stop looking for something as good as her Flat Earth Chronicles. September was the worst reading month in terms of quality. Saturn's children and Lamentation were two turds that I wish I had avoided.
________________________________________________________________
2009 was a busy year for me. I broke up with an ex girlfriend in March and started dating my now wife in April. My son was 7 going on 8 years old and in the hospital for a few days at the end of March for his asthma (which he has outgrown). July was a destination wedding in Bermuda for my cousin. September saw the van I was driving get a cracked header and my purchase of an old jeep that I still drive. Some of the books on here are still some of my favorite books ever: 2666 and Savage Detectives; the Gene Wolfe’s; Vance’s Lyonesse books and the Dying Earth.

Manchester City beat Arsenal for a second straight win.
Manchester City beat Arsenal 5-0 at home in the third round of the English Premier League for the 2021-2022 season held at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England on the night of the 28th (Korean time). Manchester City are on a two-game winning streak after losing the opening match. On the other hand, Arsenal fell to last place in the club's history, losing three goals in a row after opening for the first time.
Manchester City used a 4-3-3 formation. The attack was led by Jack Grealish, Ferran Torres and Gabriel Jesus. The midfield was played by Ilkai Gundogan, Rodri, and Bernardo Silva. The defense was formed by Joao Cancelou, Aymeric Laporte, Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker. The goal was kept by Ederson.
Arsenal faced off in a 3-4-2-1 format. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the front was led by Bukayo Saka-Martin Odegor. The midfield consisted of Kieran Tierney, Emile Smith Lowe, Granit Zaka, and Cedric Soares. Threeback was guarded by Shead Kolasinac-Rob Holding-Callum Chambers. Goalkeeper gloves were worn by Bernd Leno.
Manchester City took the lead in the 7th minute with a header by Gundogan from a cross from Jesus.
Manchester City's momentum rose in the 12th minute of the first half, and Torres took advantage of a clearing mistake by Arsenal's defense to score the second goal.
To make matters worse, Arsenal were sent off in the 35th minute due to a deep tackle by Xhaka, and they were outnumbered.
Manchester City fled 3-0 with a ground cross and Jesus waving Arsenal's net after Grealish broke the left flank in the 43rd minute of the first half.
With a 3-0 lead in the first half, Manchester City continued their offensive into the second half. Another goal escaped in 8 minutes. Rodri, who received a pass from Torres, cut the Arsenal goal net with a right-footed mid-range shot that seemed to measure with a ruler.
Manchester City returned a Marez cross to a cheering header from Sterling in the 23rd minute of the second half, but was blocked by Leno's super save.
Manchester City made it 5-0 in the 39th minute when Torres finished a header from Marez's cross. In the end, Manchester City held the lead by five goals to the end and managed to win the match.

FOM BLOG: CHATHAM TOWN 3-2 GILLINGHAM
My Thoughts On Chatham Town 3-2 Gillingham
Before lockdown, The Last Gillingham Game I Watched Was Dover Athletic 1-5 Gillingham In The Quarter Finals Of The Kent Senior Cup On Tuesday 10th March 2020, Chatham Town V Gillingham was played on The 3rd Of July 2021, So getting back into the routine of watching football live again is going to take time to get used to because we haven’t been able to watch live football in sixteen months, and it was great to be able to watch Gillingham play live football having not watched Gillingham play inside a football stadium for so long.
It was good catching up with supporters and finding out how everyone has been doing during what has been a very difficult time for everyone, Now Season Ticket Prices have just been announced this Thursday before Gillingham take on Welling United at Park View Road, But On The Saturday before kick off for Chatham Town V Gillingham, we had no idea what was going on regarding Season Ticket Prices, we were still of course waiting on announcements for the end of lockdown and can supporters go to home matches without any restrictions, will away supporters be banned for The 2021 / 2022 Season just so that home supporters can go to games, does the seat next to you have to be empty for social distancing, and there were so many questions that I sent off for the supporters survey, because the communication from Gillingham Football Club has been poor to say the least.
I tried to get a printed team-sheet and there was no match-day programme, probably because this match was Chatham Town V Gillingham XI And Chatham Town had no idea on who the young players were in Gillingham’s Youth Team Squad, And with no match-day programme, and no team sheet, it is very difficult trying to find out which player is which, there are a few players we can pick out, But I knew with the lack of a team sheet and match-day programme, it makes it very difficult to write a blog for this match, But I will write down a mini match report for Chatham Town V Gillingham, Because even though the result did not go Gillingham’s way, It was just great to be able to watch a live football match again.
FIRST HALF:
Gillingham made the bright start to the match, With Number Eleven for Gillingham firing a speculative effort from distance over the crossbar, But In The Eighth Minute Of The Match, Gillingham do manage to take the lead, Akehurst’s dangerous in-swinging cross for Gillingham was only partially cleared by Chatham Town, and when the second low cross came back inside Chatham Town’s Penalty Area, There Was Gbode to place the ball into the back of the net inside of the far post to give Gillingham the lead from close range. - CHATHAM TOWN 0-1 GILLINGHAM.
Twelve Minutes Into The Match, Tommy Crump makes an excellent save to prevent Jack Evans from equalising for Chatham Town, And down the opposite end of the pitch, Number Eleven shows a nice piece of skill and whips in a dangerous low cross which almost manages to pick out Gerard Sithole, But Chatham Town clear there lines at the expense of conceding a corner kick.
And this corner kick started a dominating passage of play for Gillingham, Akehurst whips in a high and hanging deep cross towards the far post and Carter’s speculative volley failed to hit the target, Gbode was trying to add to both his and Gillingham’s goal tally, but his shot towards goal was blocked, and in the build up to that passage of play, we did wonder if Gerard Sithole had been fouled inside Chatham Town’s Penalty Area and if Gillingham should have been awarded a penalty ??? - But failing to capitalise on these goal-scoring opportunities could have proven to be oh so costly for Gillingham, Because Hayes failed to hit the target with an effort on goal and that chance was just a reminder that Chatham Town are still in this match.
Gbode had another chance to add to his goal tally, but his shot towards goal failed to hit the target, And Gerard Sithole curled a curling effort just wide of the far right post as Gillingham were looking to score a second goal which would have given Gillingham some much needed breathing space, But it didn’t take long for Gillingham to double there advantage, the player on trial for Gillingham in midfield managed to intercept the ball, passes the ball through to Gerard Sithole, who is through on goal and Gerard Sithole accurately places the ball into the far right corner of the net to give Gillingham A Two Goal Lead - CHATHAM TOWN 0-2 GILLINGHAM.
Chatham Town then look to half the deficit when ten whips in a high and hanging cross towards the back-stick, And Tommy Crump punches the ball clear and away from goal out of play for A Chatham Town Corner Kick, But it is from the resulting corner kick where Chatham Town manage to half the deficit, The Corner Kick Is Played Short To Luke Rooney, And Luke Rooney takes a touch to control the ball before clipping in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Lawal gets on to the end of Luke Rooney’s cross to header the ball into the back of the net to bring Chatham Town back into this match at 1-2 down - CHATHAM TOWN 1-2 GILLINGHAM.
Gillingham then had the chance to re-establish there two goal lead, But Seven fails to hit the target by some considerable distance for The Gills, But Chatham Town are then awarded a free kick, and it is from this free kick where Chatham Town should have equalised, Because Luke Rooney’s Curling Free Kick strikes the post and somehow manages to stay out, Luke Rooney is going to cause plenty of teams problems in The Southern Counties East Football League, And I do believe that with the depth and quality that both Chatham Town and Sheppey United have got in there squads, I think both football clubs are going to be pushing for promotion this season.
And Gillingham go from almost conceding that free kick from Luke Rooney, to almost scoring for 3-1 down the opposite end of the pitch, A Gillingham Player manages to pick out Chambers with a quality pass right on the edge of Chatham Town’s Penalty Area down a left / central area on the pitch, And Chambers gets the ball under control before working his way inside Chatham Town’s Penalty Area, And Chambers spins to evade Luke Rooney’s attempted challenge and Chambers lofted effort clears Henry Newcombe In The Chatham Town Goal and crashes against the crossbar and Chatham Town manage to clear there defensive lines - Chambers was so unlucky not to make the score-line 3-1 to Gillingham as well.
But Chatham Town go down the other end and manage to win themselves another corner kick, which was worked towards Luke Rooney on the edge of Gillingham’s Penalty Area, And Luke Rooney’s driven low effort towards goal is saved by Tommy Crump, Chatham Town are looking very strong from set plays against what is a very young and inexperienced Gillingham XI Side.
And Chatham Town are pushing for the equaliser before half time with a speculative effort from distance which fails to hit the target, And Chatham Town won a few corner kicks at the end of the first half which were causing Gillingham a few concerns defensively, But Gillingham manage to held out at half time with a slender 2-1 lead.
HALF TIME: CHATHAM TOWN 1-2 GILLINGHAM
I uploaded the following status update on to Social Media At Half Time,,,,, HALF TIME: CHATHAM TOWN 1-2 GILLINGHAM - Gdobe and Sithole were on the score-sheet for Gillingham, Lawal's header halved the deficit, Rooney's Free Kick hit the post and Chambers chipped effort has clipped the under-side of the crossbar and stayed out. Great to be watching Gills.
I think if the half time score was 4-2 to Gillingham, that would accurately reflect on the chances created in the first half, with both Chambers and Rooney hitting the frame of the goal, Chatham Town look very strong from corner kicks, so that is something for Gillingham to be concerned about heading into the second half.
SECOND HALF:
And Gillingham made an encouraging start to the second half with Smith’s low shot towards goal saved by Henry Newcombe, But Chatham Town were pushing for the equaliser when Number Ten’s shot on the turn clears Gillingham’s Crossbar - and only just as well - and that effort on goal from Chatham Town is a warning for Gillingham and we could do with Gillingham extending the lead, just to give us a much needed two goal cushion.
However, if that effort on gaol from Chatham Town was a warning, then the warning was not clearly understood, Because Chatham Town equalised with there next effort on goal in The Fifty Third Minute Of The Match, Chatham Town have a throw on down the left side of the pitch, and the ball is thrown to Luke Rooney and Number Eleven Manages to intercept the ball for Gillingham and pass the ball inside to Number Twelve, But Jordy Robins manages to regain possession of the ball for Chatham Town and curl the ball into the far left corner of the net from twenty five yards out and there is absolutely nothing that Tommy Crump can do about that, great strike and the best goal of the day - CHATHAM TOWN 2-2 GILLINGHAM.
But Gillingham had the chance to regain the lead from a free kick in shooting territory here, Carter’s curling low effort towards goal curls just wide of the far right post, and that was the chance for Gillingham to go 3-2 up, Chatham Town then had the chance to turn this match on it’s head and go 3-2 up from a free kick themselves, Because Number Eight For Chatham Town whips in a high and hanging cross towards the far past which is over-hit and runs out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick.
Number Eighteen, Who I think was Ronald Sithole for Gillingham saw his shot towards goal routinely saved by Henry Newcombe In The Chatham Town Goal, Henry Newcombe also managed to save a high and hanging long ball from A Gillingham Free Kick, Chatham Town’s Defence has the physicality to deal with a direct style of play and Gillingham’s Performance In The First Half, was vastly superior to our performance In The Second Half, Both Chatham Town And Gillingham have made plenty of substitutions in the second half which does break up the passage of play, And the players coming on for Gillingham are probably first year scholar’s who are much younger players compared to Gerard Sithole and Harvey Lintott.
Chatham Town manage to take the lead In The Seventy Third Minute, Tommy Crump does well to parry a dangerous low cross / shot momentarily away from goal, But Strouts is first to the re-bound for Chatham Town to score from close range to give Chatham Town the lead for the first time in this match - CHATHAM TOWN 3-2 GILLINGHAM.
But Gillingham had the chance to level the match up at 3-3 almost instantly, But Ronald Sithole’s driven effort towards goal cleared the crossbar and that was the chance for Gillingham to equalise, And Gillingham were on the front-foot moments later, As Twenty One manages to pick out Twenty Nine with a threaded through-ball, But Henry Newcombe makes the all important save for Chatham Town, and that was the chance for 3-3 for Gillingham as well.
And the final noteworthy moment of the match was Number Eight’s Free Kick For Gillingham failing to hit the target by some distance, and as soon as we got to The Ninetieth Minute, The ref blew his whistle for full time, no additional time added on for the goals or substitutions, not that this would have completely affected the outcome of the result, But I did thought some additional time would have been added on at the end of the match.
FULL TIME: CHATHAM TOWN 3-2 GILLINGHAM
So my first live Gillingham Game in sixteen months ended in defeat with Chatham Town winning 3-2 against A Young Gillingham XI Team At The Bauvill Stadium, But just the experience of watching live football for the first time in sixteen months makes for a pleasant change and there were some encouraging performances from some of Gillingham’s Young Players who played against Chatham Town, It’s just a shame that some of those promising performances did not see Gillingham’s Young Players earn themselves a draw against Chatham Town.
I think it is important to note, that it is going to take time for this group of young players to get to the level that Tom Hadler, Finn O’Mara, Jack Tucker, Aaron Simpson, Ben Chapman, Darren Oldaker, Bradley Stevenson, and Noel Mbo got to, all of those players mentioned played first team matches for Gillingham Football Club, they progressed together as a group for a few years and hopefully, our current young players in Gillingham’s Youth Team Under Craig Stone’s Management can progress through in the same-way, Gillingham reaching The FA Youth Cup Final Last Season is a sign that this group of youth team players are starting there development and we will get to see some of the players involved in The Gillingham XI Side In Kent Senior Cup And Football League Trophy Matches For Gillingham This Season.
And Kent Senior Cup And Football League Trophy Matches was how we saw Jake Hessenthaler, Jack Tucker, Bradley Dack and Jack Payne progress through The Youth Team Into The First Team, And Gillingham have arranged XI Matches against Margate, Ebbsfleet United and Tunbridge Wells this pre-season, and these matches, combined with players being sent out on loan to Kent Non League Clubs will give our young players an opportunity to try and force there way into the first team, Jack Tucker had a loan spell at Hastings United, and look at Jack Tucker now, one of the first names on the team sheet for The Gills.
I mentioned earlier that Chatham Town are going to be favourites for promotion this season, and with Luke Rooney, Jack Evans, Henry Newcombe, and players like Pilbean and Hayes in the squad you can see why, I can see Chatham Town and Sheppey United both challenging for promotion this coming season and Chatham Town have really improved the facilities at The Bauvill Stadium, A New Terrace behind the goal, new seats in the main stand, a new seating area and more facilities built close to the main stand, I can only recommend that for any supporter not going to watch Gillingham play away matches during The 2021 / 2022 Season, then head down to The Bauvill Stadium and watch Chatham Town Play.
Gillingham’s next pre-season match is a visit to Park View Road, As Gillingham travel to Welling United, you must buy your tickets online in advance, there is no pay on the day and no cash on the turnstiles, and it took a while for me to sort out tickets for The Welling United and Dartford Friendlies, Why Welling United V Gillingham is kicking off at 1PM I have no idea, and finally, I think the attendance was 466 for Chatham Town V Gillingham XI, I did see the attendance mentioned somewhere, Welling United are expecting a 500+ attendance for tomorrow’s match, the early kick off probably took a few hundred off the anticipated attendance, It’s always good going to watch Welling United V Gillingham, I just wished the kick off time was 3PM Though.

Why did you choose your url?
Uh, it's something @trans-muqing said. I liked it so I changed my url. That was at least 6 months ago, most likely more.
Any side-blogs? If you have them, name them and why you have them.
Yes, I have one @want-to-be-moonmoon. It's just where I post stuff that's fandom-related. Basically, it functions as my second blog. By the way, user @/moonmoon please give me your url.
How long have you been on tumblr?
Uhm. I made my blog more than two years ago, deactivated once early on, and now here we are.
Do you have a queue tag?
Yes! When my blog pretty much ran on a queue, i did. Now I don't do that anymore because it's exhausting.
Why did you start your blog in the first place?
Because @fengxingf told me to. Well, more like continuously brought it up to me for 3 months. And then I did. And I love them for it.
Why did you choose your icon/pfp?
Man, Look. It's pretty and it's blue and I don't like changing things.

No. That's sunny's job.
How often do you use tumblr?
Around an hour a day.
Did you have a fight/argument with a blog once? who won?
No. Well, yes? With jack and sunny back in august. It was about a tinkerbell fairy au vs. a faerie au. No one won because it was just shenanigans.
How do you feel about ‘you need to reblog this post’?
God. Literally just shut the fuck up. Wait that was too rude. They're annoying, it's just sucky anxiety because you don't reblog. Most of the times whenever I see that phrase I just scroll and skim through the post :sob:.
Do you like tag games?
Depends. When the mutuals I interact with and partners tag me, then yes.
Do you like ask games?
Yes, but I don't reblog a lot because I don't get too many asks.
Which of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?
Nah.
Do you have a crush on a mutual?
I mean I got to know all of them through discord so, I'm confused. Maybe?

Tottenham 1-0 Arsenal: Kane continues fine derby record
At times it felt like there was just Petr Cech. There he was, leaping to save from a Christian Eriksen free kick. And here he was, sprawling at the feet of Erik Lamela. And there he was again, pushing away a Kieran Trippier strike.
Just one goal separated this north London derby, but that didn’t tell the story. Or rather, it didn’t do justice to the crucial passage of play for twenty-five minutes after half time when Tottenham, relentless, young and hungry, simply overwhelmed their opponents at Wembley. There was a time when Tottenham team were cowed by their neighbours. That time is no more.
‘Fantastic,’ gushed Mauricio Pochettino afterwards. ‘Those 25minutes, we played amazing football. We created a lot of chances. We had the capacity to push them. Our players were fantastic.’ He had earned this moment. His team are up to third in the Premier League for now and face Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Harry Kane celebrates scoring the only goal of the north London derby alongside Spurs’ Dele Alli at Wembley on Saturday
The England forward rose above Laurent Koscielny and headed past Petr Cech to send the home supporters into raptures
As Kane celebrated, Arsenal appealed for a foul on Koscielny but their protests were ignored by referee Anthony Taylor
Spurs captain Hugo Lloris roars in celebration after his side moved into the lead after less than five minutes of the second half
Alexandre Lacazette almost levelled the scores at the death when he raced in on goal and fired a shot past Lloris
But the France forward’s shot went inches past the post to ensure the visitors left Wembley empty-handed on Saturday
After the final whistle Jack Wilshere and Erik Lamela had to be separated as tempers boiled over between the rival players
The England midfielder had to be dragged away but he was earlier powerless to stop his side from losing 1-0 at Wembley

Harry Kane scored the only goal of the north London derby with a header from Ben Davies’ cross. For more stats and details, see Sportsmail’s brilliant Match Zone
Incrementally Pochettino has been building towards this, when Tottenham look like London’s best team. In the last three Premier League games, in which Manchester United have been swatted aside, Arsenal well beaten and Liverpool held, Spurs have demonstrated that they now ought to be ready for Europe’s elite.
Harry Kane, inevitably, was the man who did beat Cech, his seventh goal in seven Premier League games against Arsenal. Something tells you that Kane still has neither forgiven nor forgotten the decision Arsenal made to let him go a schoolboy.
‘In the last three years I am repeating that he is one of the best strikers in the world,’ insisted Pochettino. ‘Sometimes you believe that it’s because he’s my player and I try to praise him. But I’m telling you and I tell you again, from my experience in football, he’s one of the best.’
While Kane was excellent, Mousa Dembélé was immense in midfield and Christian Eriksen as precise in his delivery as we have come to expect. The performance of Ben Davies suggested Danny Rose would not be missed if he chose to leave and Dele Alli shone brighter than he has of late.
And, yet, there were that many chances for Tottenham, they must have been fearful of what was to come. And therein lies the more-significant point of this clash of north London rivals: nothing much did come.
There was a moment, with thirty seconds of injury time remaining, when Mohamed Elneny fed Alexandre Lacazette. As he pulled the ball past Hugo Lloris, the Arsenal fans who hadn’t departed already prepared to celebrate an unlikely point. The strike, by a fraction, was wide of the far post and Tottenham survived. And had they not, most would have felt an injustice had been done.
Tottenham central midfielder Mousa Dembele fires a left-footed shot at goal during a goalless first half at Wembley
Denmark forward Christian Eriksen looks to find a team-mate under pressure from Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal
Dembele and Arsenal’s record signing, £56million man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, tussle for possession on Saturday
Tottenham forward Son Heung-min looks to dribble with the ball as Mohamed Elneny and Shkodran Mustafi watch on
Kane heads over the home side’s best chance of the first half as Monreal appeals in vain for him to be flagged offside
The Tottenham and England forward puts his hands on his head in disappointment after failing to convert Eriksen’s cross
For Arsenal revivals simply aren’t what they used to be. One week is all it now takes to puncture the optimism. Everton had proved accommodating guests last weekend for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitarayan. This was a more-realistic assessment of the club’s predicament.
Arsenal deployed the cavalry. They ended up with six attacking players on the pitch, though not Mkhitaryan, nowhere near as effective as last weekend. Without the ball and against a robust midfield, Arsenal wither. They may be nine points off the top four by Sunday with just eleven games to play, Arsene Wenger ruefully accepting that another season outside the game’s elite beckons.
Wenger had set his team to play on the counter attack in the first half and felt they should have made more of that opportunity.
‘In the first half, the game should have been finished,’ he suggested ‘We missed opportunities on counter-attacks that are not miss-able at our level, with the final ball. But we should have lost the game in the early part of the second half by more than one goal and we were destabilised by the goal they scored. Overall it is mixed feelings as in the first half with a bit more quality with our final pass we win this game.’
Arsenal did engage for the first fifteen minutes of the game. And had Jack Wilshere’s fine ball for Aubameyang not been flagged offside on 12 minutes – it was the most-marginal call – they might have played a fuller role in the game.
Wilshere evades the challenge of Dembele and drives forward with the ball but neither side found the net in the first half
Alli, who has been in the headlines for the wrong reasons in recent days, challenges Hector Bellerin for the ball at Wembley
Eriksen makes his way down the touchline with the ball at his feet while Monreal tries to battle him for possession at Wembley
The Denmark playmaker almost doubled Spurs’ lead in the second half but his free-kick was well saved by a diving Cech
Alli clashes with Arsenal duo Granit Xhaka and Mustafi during the second half of the derby encounter on Saturday lunchtime
But for all Wenger’s talk, the outstanding chance of the half was Kane’s heading over from six yards when Eriksen had crossed on to his head. What Arsenal did well was to frustrate and control Spurs, the very qualities they have been said to lack in recent years.
Yet this Tottenham side are rarely contained. Their breakthrough moment came on 49 minutes thanks to a delightful cross from Davies. Delivered just perfectly into the box, it allowed Kane to evade both Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi to head home decisively.
Buoyed by the goal, Tottenham found their stride and were magnificent in all but their finishing. On 52 minutes Kane glanced a header wide; on 56 minutes he had a thunderous volley pushed away by Cech; on 57 minutes Cech was again called into action to tip away that Eriksen free kick.
Wenger’s response was to abandon caution, with Aubameyang going wide left, Lacazette coming on as centre forward, Alex Iwobi playing wide right and Mesut Ozil reverting to the No.10 role. Yet initially all they could muster was a curling shot from Wilshere on 68 minutes which produced a fine save from Hugo Lloris.
Tottenham remained relentless. Alli poked a good chance wide on 72 minutes, Cech pulled off a fine save from Lamela on 73 minutes and Eriksen dropped the ball into the path of Kieran Trippier on 76 minutes, yet he drove straight at Cech.
Arsenal were just hanging on in that period. That they recovered somewhat to threaten at the end is to their credit. But it did nothing to suggest that the north London pecking order is changed for now. And that they may have to get used to being second best.
Alli was one of a number of Tottenham players who missed good second-half chances to seal the three points with a second
Cech came to Arsenal’s rescue again when Kane hit a beautifully-struck volley at goal as Spurs looked to turn the screw
The 24-year-old forward rues another missed opportunity as the home side failed to double their advantage at Wembley
The two managers, Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger, shake hands after the final whistle in the north London derby

This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The fine Orpheum Loft building is an early downtown redevelopment project built long before the glut of renovation happening now — so the building doesn’t offer the amenities of some of the newer places. Theres no rooftop access, no pool, etc. Loft apartments are sparse and basic, but very large with 10 foot ceilings. The building is kept clean and in good repair. The management and maintenance staff are friendly and professional.  Residents describe the security as good. The attached subterranean parking is convenient and safe. The tenants are described as “friendly and respectful”.
Ideally located in the revitalizing Broadway district by a new Apple Store and Vans flagship shoe store under construction, the Orpheum has been a major center of entertainment history since February 15, 1926, when two-a-day Orpheum circuit vaudeville played to a full house starring famous acts such as the Marx Brothers, Duke Ellington and Jack Benny. Recently, the Orpheum hosts  many concerts and special engagements by RuPaul’s Drag Race and American Idol.
The catch… while the building may be quiet and peaceful on a sunday afternoon, the large world-renown live theater in the building make the building a roaring center of creative energy and raucous social gathering place. The Broadway Bar is on the ground floor of the building and can get very, very loud. Those who live in a unit that faces Broadway, by 10pm, sometimes six nights per week, it is so loud that it’s difficult to hear one’s own television.
Overall the building is great but residents caution quiet types to stay away from the lower floors and the units that face broadway.

Sheffield United 2-0 Ipswich: Blades all but secure promotion to Premier League
Sheffield United is again effective in the Premier League for the first time since 2007 – and the mathematical confirmation could already start during lunch on

Sheffield United has a proud history of winning the league championship in the 19th century to score the Premier League's first goal was Brian Deane against Manchester United in 1992.
Their current generation of fans crave a return and the 30,000 who came on Saturday play an encouraging ovation the interval with their heroes a goal for the good.
It was almost 2-0 at the start of the second period when Norwood curled in a free kick from an angle that painfully hit the far post
United borrower Dean Henderson still made a goal attempt at Sheffield's goal, but as long as the score remained tight, you could feel the tension.
Home fans shouted for handball against Cole Skuse more in hope than expectation. They then celebrated McGoldrick's distant post heads until they realized it was the side mesh that wrinkled rather than the back of the net.
Club legend Sharp was introduced to a standing ovation after 63 minutes to see if he could add his 24 goals this season.
Eight minutes later, there was lame when John Fleck & # 39; s corner became smashed by O & # 39; Connell above the Ipswich defense. Finally, Blades fans felt they could celebrate without inhibition and the singing of & # 39; We're going up, we're going up & # 39; was heard 35 miles north in Leeds as torch smoke flew around the stadium.

Manchester City beat Arsenal after one person was sent off. As a result, Manchester City continued their strong appearance by winning their ninth consecutive win over Arsenal.
Manchester City defeated Arsenal 5-0 in the third round of the English Premier League (EPL) for the 2021-2022 season held at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester, England at 8:30 pm on the 28th (Korean time). Ferran Torres scored two goals, Ilkay Gundogan, Gabriel Jejus and Rodri scored.
Manchester City are in a 4-3-3 formation. Torres fake number 9 was supported by Jack Grealish and Jejus. Gundogan, Rodri and Bernardo Silva were midfielders. Joao Cancelou, Emrit Laporte, Hubeng Dias and Kyle Walker were all over the place. Goalkeeper Ederson saved the goal.
Arsenal were in a 5-4-1 formation. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's top picks were supported by Bukayo Saka, Granit Xaka, Emile Smithrow and Martin Odegor in the second line and in midfield. The left and right wing-backs were Kieran Tierney and Cedric Soaris, while Shead Kolasinac, Rob Holding and Callum Chambers were three-backs. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno puts on goalkeeper gloves.
At the beginning of the first half, Arsenal's counter-attack concept brought Manchester City to annoyance. Aubameyang in the 2nd minute and Kierney in the 5th minute threatened Manchester City with a cross from the left flank. But it was Manchester City who took the lead. In the 7th minute, Jejus crossed from the right. It was rather flat and seemed to flow backwards, but Chambers could not get it off with a header and it flowed backwards, and Gundogan did a header, but it shook the net as it was. Even in the 10th minute, the Arsenal defense managed to clear a cross from the left half space (the space between the midfield and the flanks).
Another goal was scored in the 11th minute. Silva crossed in halfspace on the right. It was a low, short, ordinary cross. But in the penalty box, Soaris took an erratic pose, neither head nor feet, and then went back. The rushing Torres scored lightly. The referee checked with the video review (VAR) that Laporte had hit Chambers in the face, but he recognized the goal as it was. In the 19th minute, keeper Ederson was building up from behind and was pressed by Smithlow to take a goal kick. It was likely that I would have made an absurd mistake.
In the 26th minute, Ederson's miss of a goal kick led to Arsenal's attack. After receiving Aubameyang's one-touch pass, Xhaka made a threatening shot from inside the box, but Ederson blocked it and was offside. Another bad thing happened in the 35th minute. Xhaka tackled Cancelo, which was a bit rough, and the referee immediately drew a red card. In the 42nd minute, Manchester City's pass, which succeeded in building up the rear, was connected to Grealish on the left. Grealish knocked down Chambers with a painting and Jeju easily solved the cross raised from the left flank.
Manchester City replaced Olexandro Zinchenko and Arsenal replaced Mohamed Elneni. In the seventh minute, Manchester City scored an additional goal. Torres gave the ball back while waving the ball against Arsenal, who had come down. Rodri's shot straight from the front of the arc shook the net. In the 12th minute, City added Raheem Sterling. Arsenal replaced Aubameyang with Lacazette. In the 16th minute, City hired Riyadh Mahrez. In the 22nd minute, from right halfspace, Marez posted an accurate pass to Sterling, who turned it into a header. Leno hit it hard. In the 25th minute, Arsenal signed Maitland-Niles. The penetration pass to Sterling was sharp in the 31st minute. Sterling kicked from the right inside the box, but goalkeeper Leno blocked it in a one-on-one defense. Manchester City, who was knocking, scored a goal. When Marez, who was waving from the right, raised a cross, Torres rushed in and solved it lightly. Manchester City have scored five goals in two matches in a row, continuing their winning streak.

FOM BLOG: IPSWICH TOWN 1-0 GILLINGHAM
My Thoughts On Ipswich Town V Gillingham..............
This is now four league defeats in a row and four league matches where Gillingham haven't scored, and whilst the performances against Fleetwood Town and Ipswich Town were positive performances, Gillingham have picked up zero points out of twelve against MK Dons, Portsmouth, Fleetwood Town and Ipswich Town, and the league fixtures do not get any easier with Sunderland at home coming up on Saturday, and whilst Gillingham won two and drew two in the four matches we played against Sunderland Last Season, Sunderland are on the fringes of The League One Playoff Places and Gillingham are in a horrendous run of form, Any positivity that Gillingham Supporters had after The 3-1 Home Win Against Oxford United and ten points from the first five league games has greatly diminished now, and four league games ago and after that win against Oxford United, there was talk of Gillingham being serious playoff contenders, but after the last four league defeats and no goals scored in the last four matches, the talk has been about Gillingham being in A League One Relegation Battle - Let's see where Gillingham are in The League One Table after fifteen league games, because fifteen league games would mean a third of league matches would have been played during The 2020 / 2021 Season, and our league position then will be more of a accurate reflection on how well, or, how poorly Gillingham are doing in League One.
As for the match itself, Gillingham Lined Up As Follows,,,, Jack Bonham, Ryan Jackson, Christian Maghoma, Jack Tucker, Zech Medley, Robbie McKenzie, Alex MacDonald, Kyle Dempsey, Dominic Samuel, John Akinde, Jordan Graham Substitutes Joe Walsh (GK), Josh Eccles, Scott Robertson, Henry Woods, Matty Willock, Trae Coyle and Vadaine Oliver - And the first goal-scoring opportunity of the match went to Gillingham in the first minute of the game, As Dominic Samuel manages to intercept the ball going up against Jack Lankester, And Robbie McKenzie takes a few touches in possession of the ball before seeing his shot towards goal charged down by Mark McGuinness at the expense of conceding a corner kick, and from the resulting corner kick, Jordan Graham's in-swinging cross is cleared away from danger and Gillingham do not create a meaningful goal-scoring opportunity from that resulting corner kick - But this is a encouraging start to the match from The Gills - And In The Fourth Minute Of The Match, Ipswich Town create there first goal-scoring opportunity of the match, As Stephen Ward kicks the ball long down-field, and Stephen Ward's long ball over the top manages to pick out Freddie Sears down the left side of the pitch (Gillingham's Right) In Gillingham's Final Third and Freddie Sears was waiting for the ball to come down to get the ball fully under control, But Christian Maghoma had done just about enough to shield the ball out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick - Freddie Sears and Oli Hawkins are two players that Gillingham are going to have to pay a lot of attention to defensively.
Five Minutes Into The Match, And Luke Woolfenden is penalised for his challenge on Dominic Samuel in Ipswich Town's Half Of The Pitch, And Gillingham have been awarded a free kick, and from the resulting free kick, Gillingham were looking to make the breakthrough and take the lead, Jack Tucker kicks a long diagonal cross-field cross pass which is cleared away from danger by the home side, however, the chance has not gone for The Gills as Ryan Jackson passes the ball short back to Jack Tucker, And Jack Tucker kicks the ball long down-field and John Akinde chests the ball under control before passing the ball out-wide to Jordan Graham down the right side of the pitch in Ipswich Town's Final Third, And Jordan Graham runs down the right side of the pitch in possession of the ball, and Jordan Graham fires in a low dangerous cross and Mark McGuinness stretches to deflect the ball into the path of John Akinde, who cannot get a shot off on goal, or find a team-mate with a pass, and the chance had gone for The Gills.
Nine Minutes Into The Match, And Ipswich Town had the chance to open the scoring, Jack Lankester manages to pick out Freddie Sears with a accurate through-ball, And Freddie Sears has possession of the ball roughly twenty five yards from goal, And Freddie Sears was working his way into a shooting position before seeing his shot towards goal take a huge deflection off Christian Maghoma, and the ball deflects just wide of the far right post with Jack Bonham beaten and the ball deflects out of play for A Ipswich Town Corner Kick, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Mark McGuinness headers the ball across the face of goal and Jack Tucker is in the right place at the right time to clear Gillingham's Defensive Lines, and although Gillingham have survived that attacking onslaught onto our goal, It is the hosts who are in the ascendancy looking to take the lead, Freddie Sears see's his fiercely driven effort towards goal blocked by Kyle Dempsey and then Jordan Graham is penalised for his challenge on Freddie Sears and Ipswich Town have been awarded a free kick in a very promising position on the pitch after fourteen minutes, And it is from this free kick where Ipswich Town almost take the lead, Andre Dozzell has curled the ball over the wall and the ball curls just wide of the far left post with Jack Bonham well and truly beaten - Jack Bonham had dived across at full stretch and I am not sure if Jack Bonham would have had that effort on goal covered if Andre Dozzell's free kick was on target.
Nineteen Minutes Into The Match, Jack Bonham picked up an injury and required treatment, and the injury happened because Andre Dozzell kicks a high and long ball down-field and there is a foot-race between Christian Maghoma and Freddie Sears to see who will get to the loose ball first, And Christian Maghoma shields the ball back to Jack Bonham, And Freddie Sears has nudged Christian Maghoma in the back and Christian Maghoma has collided with Jack Bonham as Jack Bonham catches the ball in the air as the ball bounced high off the turf and Jack Bonham has landed very awkwardly, dropped the ball and Freddie Sears has put the ball into the back of the net, but no goal for Ipswich Town has been given, But Jack Bonham requires treatment from Physio Gary Hemens and after a stoppage of two minutes, Jack Bonham was able to continue playing in goal for Gillingham, And the next passage of play see's a debatable penalty decision not awarded in Gillingham's Favour, John Akinde passes the ball short to Jordan Graham just on the edge of the eighteen yard line down the right side of the pitch, And Jordan Graham runs forwards in possession of the ball and Jordan Graham's cross does in-fact hit Stephen Ward on the arm but no penalty kick to Gillingham was awarded - I think Stephen Ward has put his leg up into the air to block the initial cross and your arms naturally come up when your stretching to defend a cross, The Dominic Samuel penalty incident against MK Dons was a stonewall penalty not awarded to Gillingham, Where as I don't think you can give the penalty against Stephen Ward, more ball to hand then hand to ball for this particular hand-ball incident.
However, Twenty Four Minutes Into The Match, And Ipswich Town should have opened the scoring, Freddie Sears has possession of the ball thirty yards from goal, and Freddie Sears passes the ball out-wide to Stephen Ward down the left side of the pitch in Gillingham's Final Third, And Stephen Ward whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross first time, and Gwion Edwards and Luke Chambers header the ball down towards Jack Lankester inside Gillingham's Penalty Area, And Jack Lankester's first time half volleyed effort towards goal crashes against the under-side of the crossbar and somehow stays out and Kyle Dempsey clears Gillingham's Defensive Lines - And Ipswich Town really should have opened the scoring with that effort on goal from Jack Lankester - Twenty Eight Minutes Into The Match, And Ipswich Town create another half decent opportunity to open the scoring, Luke Chambers gets possession of the ball down the right side of the pitch in Gillingham's Final Third, And Luke Chambers cuts inside into a more right / central area on the pitch and evades Alex MacDonald's attempted challenge, And Luke Chambers curling cross / shot towards goal is routinely saved by Jack Bonham, And that comfortable save from Jack Bonham is unfortunately Jack Bonham's final contribution to the match, Because Jack Bonham goes down injured with a knee injury, although it has to be mentioned that awkwardly landing from catching the high ball when Freddie Sears pushed Christian Maghoma into Jack Bonham would have caused some discomfort, And Joe Walsh comes on to make his Gillingham League Debut just thirty minutes into this match, And Joe Walsh's first involvement in this match is to pick up a back-pass from Ryan Jackson and concede a in-direct free kick, and unfortunately, that is sometimes what happens when you come on as a substitute and your not fully focused on the match, and this mistake from Joe Walsh can prove to be ever so costly, Because Ipswich Town have been awarded a free kick in a very promising position on the pitch, and from the resulting in-direct free kick, Jack Lankester tee's up Freddie Sears, who drags his low effort towards goal wide of the far left post, and we can breath a sigh of relief that Ipswich Town have not capitalised on that error from Joe Walsh, And I am sure that Joe Walsh is the most relieved player inside Portman Road after the chance had gone for Ipswich Town.
Thirty Eight Minutes Into The Match, And Ipswich Town really should have scored, Andre Dozzell plays a one / two with Luke Chambers before passing the ball forwards to Gwion Edwards, And Gwion Edwards spins past Zech Medley and runs towards the byline and Gwion Edwards fires a low cross back across the face of goal and Freddie Sears shot towards goal takes a double deflection off Jack Tucker and Christian Maghoma and the ball deflects out of play for A Ipswich Town Corner Kick, and that double deflection off Tucker and Maghoma could have quiet easily have seen the ball deflect into the back of Gillingham's Net for a unfortunate own goal, And from the resulting corner kick, Andre Dozzell has whipped in a dangerous in-swinging cross towards the back-stick and Mark McGuinness's header towards goal deflects off Zech Medley out of play for another Ipswich Town Corner Kick, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Jack Tucker manages to header the ball clear and away from danger and although Ipswich Town are still dominating possession, they have as of yet to make the breakthrough.
Forty Two Minutes Into The Match, And Freddie Sears kicks the ball long down-field and Joe Walsh tries to shield the ball out of play for a goal-kick up against Oli Hawkins, And the ball doesn't go out of play and Joe Walsh manages to turn himself out of trouble and boot the ball long down-field and away from goal - Joe Walsh was very very lucky there to get away with that - But In The Forty Fourth Minute Of The Match, Ipswich Town had a half chance to open the scoring as Gwion Edwards stands the ball up to the back-stick and Stephen Ward's header towards goal was routinely saved by Joe Walsh, and that cross from Gwion Edwards was proceeded by a dominating passage of possession for Ipswich Town, and the final noteworthy moment of the first half see's Jack Lankester receive the ball from a deep position in midfield, and Jack Lankester's speculative effort towards goal fails to hit the target and Joe Walsh isn't required to make a save.
HALF TIME: IPSWICH TOWN 0-0 GILLINGHAM
I uploaded the following status updates on Twitter and Facebook At Half Time,,,, HALF TIME IPSWICH TOWN 0-0 GILLINGHAM - Ipswich have been the better side in the first half, Andre Dozzell's curling free kick just goes wide of the far post, Jack Lankester has seen his effort on goal smashed the underside of the crossbar and somehow stay out. Sears has seen his effort on goal deflected off Medley out of play for A Ipswich Corner, Chambers curling effort towards goal is saved by Bonham, And Freddie Sears saw his effort on goal take a double deflection off Tucker & Maghoma and the ball deflects out of play for a corner. Jack Bonham being substituted because of injury is very concerning, And Joe Walsh's first involvement in the match was to pick up a back-pass and concede a in-direct free kick, which thankfully is not capitalised on by Sears. McKenzie & Tucker have done well for The Gills so far. I also mentioned that Any win for Gillingham tonight, regardless of the performance, will be three points gratefully appreciated. Ipswich have been by far the better side, and they should be winning, Hopefully we see a reverse of Saturday and Gillingham can win where we create very few opportunities.
There has been a lot of defensive work from Gillingham in the first half with many important blocks and clearances, Ipswich Town's Midfield of Andre Dozzell, Jack Lankester, Gwion Edwards, and Teddy Bishop are all players who like to get themselves on the ball and provide a bit of creativity for Oli Hawkins and Freddie Sears, And Gwion Edwards is a quality player, he was always someone who stood out at Peterborough United as a player who can cause Gillingham problems defensively, Oli Hawkins was with Portsmouth and he is a towering centre forward who is a decent striker for any club in League One, This is a quality Ipswich Town Side, But Gillingham are still in this match, even though we have not had much possession of the ball, But we do need to see more from Gillingham in the final third in the second half, Because Ipswich Town have dominated the first half and they should be winning as well - As for any tactical changes at half time - With Joe Walsh coming on to replace Jack Bonham, I am not expecting any half time substitutions, but hopefully, we will se a much improved performance from Gillingham In The Second Half - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!
SECOND HALF:
And the first noteworthy moment of the second see's Stephen Ward whip in a dangerous in-swinging cross which Joe Walsh was able to gather with ease, And In The Forty Seventh Minute Of The Match, Mark McGuinness is penalised for a high boot on Christian Maghoma on the edge of Ipswich Town's Penalty Area and Gillingham have been awarded a free kick in a very promising position on the pitch, and from the resulting free kick, Kyle Dempsey rolls the ball short to Jordan Graham, who has failed to hit the target by some considerable distance with a fiercely driven effort towards goal, and Jordan Graham has got to hit the target and test Tomas Holy, Because goal-scoring opportunities have been few and far between for Gillingham through-out this match to date so far, And In The Fifty Fourth Minute Of The Match, Gillingham almost take the lead as Robbie McKenzie passes the ball forwards short to John Akinde, who manages to evade one challenge on the halfway line and John Akinde continue's his run down the right side of the pitch and John Akinde gets the loose ball ahead of Stephen Ward, and John Akinde evades the sliding challenge from Stephen Ward before firing a low cross across the six yard box and Dominic Samuel's low effort towards goal is somehow saved by Tomas Holy and the ball loops up into the air and Ipswich Town Defender Luke Woolfenden headers the ball back to Tomas Holy - But what a fantastic run that was from John Akinde and this is something we want to see from John Akinde on a more regular basis.
Fifty Five Minutes Into The Match, And Teddy Bishop's shot towards goal is saved and then gathered at the second attempt by Joe Walsh, But In The Fifth Eighth Minute Of The Match, Gillingham had the chance to take the lead, John Akinde does really well to retain possession of the ball in Gillingham's Half Of The Pitch before passing the ball out-wide to Ryan Jackson, And Ryan Jackson clips the ball long down the line, and although Stephen Ward wins the aerial challenge up against Jordan Graham, the ball does drop to Dominic Samuel inside Ipswich Town's Penalty Area, And Dominic Samuel wins the competitive battle up against Mark McGuinness, And Dominic Samuel manages to fire a low cross across the six yard box and Alex MacDonald's cross / shot hits Luke Chambers who was down on the deck and Teddy Bishop clears the ball away from danger for Ipswich Town - Alex MacDonald was appealing for a penalty kick believing that Luke Chambers had handled the ball, I think the penalty decision in the first half was more likely to be given then any calls for a penalty kick from Alex MacDonald's shot hitting Luke Chambers down on the deck - But Gillingham have really improved in the opening thirteen minutes of the second half, Ipswich Town are having to do so much more defending and this is much better from The Gills.
And In The Fifty Ninth Minute Of The Match, Ipswich Town manage to win themselves a corner kick as Gwion Edwards see's his cross charged down by Zech Medley at the expense of conceding a corner kick, and from the resulting corner kick, Andre Dozzell's in-swinging cross towards the far post is over-hit and the ball runs out of play for A Gillingham Throw On, And In The Sixtieth Minute Of The Match, Gwion Edwards is penalised for a foul on Dominic Samuel, And Dominic Samuel did exceptionally well to win that free kick for Gillingham, And From The Resulting Free Kick, Gillingham were looking to make the break-through and go 1-0 up, Kyle Dempsey passes the ball short to Ryan Jackson, who takes a few touches in possession of the ball before passing the ball out-wide to Jordan Graham, And Jordan Graham takes on Freddie Sears before whipping in a fantastic cross and Jack Tucker's Header Towards Goal is cleared away from danger by Mark McGuinness, and that was pretty much a goal-line clearance from The Ipswich Town Defender, but the chance has not gone for The Gills, Because Robbie McKenzie has possession of the ball on the halfway line and Robbie McKenzie manages to pick out Jordan Graham with a fantastic pass down the right side of the pitch in Ipswich Town's Final Third, And Jordan Graham looks around for support, before working his way out-wide, and Jordan Graham whips in a fantastic in-swinging cross towards the back-stick, And Jack Tucker's Header towards goal is on target and Tomas Holy has to make another save in goal for Ipswich Town - Another decent goal-scoring opportunity for The Gills.
Sixty Two Minutes Into The Match, And John Akinde is penalised for tripping Teddy Bishop, And Ipswich Town have been awarded a free kick, And it is from this free kick where Ipswich Town almost take the lead, Andre Dozzell passes the ball short to Teddy Bishop, And Teddy Bishop takes a touch to control the ball before firing a fiercely driven shot towards goal and Joe Walsh gets the faintest of touches on to the ball to tip the ball over Gillingham's Crossbar at the expense of conceding a corner kick, and from the resulting corner kick, Andre Dozzell's in-swinging cross towards the back-stick is over-hit, But Teddy Bishop gets on to the loose ball first for Ipswich Town, And Teddy Bishop passes the ball short inside to Mark McGuinness, who takes a touch to control the ball before clipping a high and hanging ball towards the back-stick and Oli Hawkins and Christian Maghoma both compete for the ball in the air, and it appears that the final touch came off Christian Maghoma and Ipswich Town have been awarded another corner kick - This is perhaps one of the controversial corner kick decisions that Steve Evans was talking about in his post match press conference - and from the resulting corner kick, Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and John Akinde can only header the ball partially clear and away from danger, and Teddy Bishop manages to get on to the loose ball first, And Teddy Bishop evades the challenges from Alex MacDonald and Kyle Dempsey and runs into a more central position on the edge of Gillingham's Penalty Area, And Teddy Bishop continue's his run forwards and gets a lucky ricochet off John Akinde and Teddy Bishop's shot towards goal ricochets into Luke Woolfenden's path, And Luke Woolfenden takes a few touches to set himself up into a better shooting position, and somehow, Luke Woolfenden has fired his shot towards goal wide of the far right post - AND THAT WAS THE OPPORTUNITY FOR IPSWICH TOWN TO TAKE THE LEAD!!!!!!!! - I have no idea how Luke Woolfenden hasn't opened the scoring for Ipswich Town with that effort on goal ???
Sixty Five Minutes Into The Match, And Alex MacDonald plays Kyle Dempsey through on the over-lap down the left side of the pitch in Ipswich Town's Final Third, And Kyle Dempsey's cross hits the roof of the net and the ball goes out of play for A Ipswich Town Goal-Kick, And the next passage of play see's Gillingham almost open the scoring, Kyle Dempsey passes the out-wide to Dominic Samuel down the left side of the pitch, And Dominic Samuel manages to get the ball under control before hitting a cross-field cross pass towards either Ryan Jackson or Jordan Graham, and although Gwion Edwards wins the initial aerial challenge to header the ball out-wide, Jordan Graham manages to keep the ball in play and pass the ball back to Ryan Jackson, Who passes the ball forwards to Alex MacDonald, And Alex MacDonald passes the ball back to Ryan Jackson, who clips the ball forwards to Kyle Dempsey inside Ipswich Town's Penalty Area down the right side of the pitch, And Kyle Dempsey gets the ball under control before passing the ball out-wide to Jordan Graham, who initially manages to retain possession of the ball before being fouled by Gwion Edwards, but the loose ball goes back towards Ryan Jackson, who plays a one / two with Kyle Dempsey before running forwards in possession of the ball, and Ryan Jackson turns back on himself before passing the ball back to Kyle Dempsey, And Kyle Dempsey whips in a low dangerous cross towards John Akinde and Mark McGuinness makes a vital interception, but the ball ricochets into Zech Medley's Path, And Zech Medley's Shot on the turn is saved by Tomas Holy.
And having almost opened the scoring with that chance from Zech Medley, Ipswich Town should have opened the scoring after Sixty Seven Minutes, Armando Dobra passes the ball out-wide to Luke Chambers, And Luke Chambers manages to pick out Oli Hawkins with a fantastic threaded through-pass between left back and left centre back, And Oli Hawkins is through in possession of the ball inside Gillingham's Penalty Area right by the byline, And Oli Hawkins manages to pull the ball back across the face of goal towards Gwion Edwards, and it takes a remarkable last ditch interception from Ryan Jackson to deny Gwion Edwards from opening the scoring for Ipswich Town, and not only has Ryan Jackson made the all important goal saving interception, But Ryan Jackson has also cleared Gillingham's Defensive Lines, and Gillingham then go down the other end of the pitch, and Jordan Graham see's his cross by the byline charged down by Stephen Ward at the expense of conceding a corner kick for Gillingham - But I have got to mention that goal saving interception from Ryan Jackson again, Because I thought Gwion Edwards was 100% going to open the scoring for Ipswich Town, and is this match going to be Gillingham's Day where we can pick up three valuable points to stop this three match winless run that The Gills are currently on ???
And from the resulting corner kick, Jordan Graham whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Tomas Holy punches the ball partially clear and away from danger and Armando Dobra goes on a driving run forwards in possession of the ball as Ipswich Town look to hit Gillingham on the counter attack, and Armando Dobra is challenged by Robbie McKenzie just in Gillingham's Half Of The Pitch, And Robbie McKenzie goes on a driving run forwards in possession of the ball, and Robbie McKenzie continue's his run forwards and passes the ball forwards to Dominic Samuel, And Dominic Samuel cannot retain possession of the ball for The Gills and Jack Lankester's clearance goes straight to Alex MacDonald, And Alex MacDonald gets the ball under control before passing the ball out-wide to Zech Medley down the left side of the pitch, And Zech Medley takes a touch to control the ball before whipping in a dangerous in-swinging cross which is routinely saved by Tomas Holy.
Seventy Three Minutes Into The Match, And Ryan Jackson blocks Stephen Wards dangerous cross and the ball deflects out of play for A Ipswich Town Corner Kick, and by blocking that cross, Ryan Jackson has injured himself and requires treatment, and unfortunately for Gillingham, Ryan Jackson is the second player who has to be substituted because of injury and Scott Robertson comes on to replace Ryan Jackson, And Scott Robertson will play in central midfield, whilst Robbie McKenzie will switch from central midfield to play at Right Back For The Gills, However, Ipswich Town were allowed to take the corner kick whilst Gillingham were down to ten men, And Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Mark McGuinness can only direct his header over the crossbar for the hosts, And I would have been very annoyed if Ipswich Town had scored from that corner kick whilst Gillingham were momentarily down to ten men, but that substitution did happen after the ball had finally gone out of play. (Emyr Huws also came on to replace Jack Lankester for Ipswich Town as well).
Seventy Seven Minutes Into The Match, And Jordan Graham times his sliding challenge to perfection on Gwion Edwards at the expense of knocking the ball out of play for A Ipswich Town Corner Kick, And From The Resulting Corner, Armando Dobra tries to pick out Andre Dozzell with a quickly taken short corner kick, And Robbie McKenzie manages to clear the ball away from danger at the expense of conceding a throw on for Ipswich Town, And In The Seventy Eighth Minute Of The Match, Alex MacDonald's high and hanging cross into Ipswich Town's Penalty Area is routinely saved by Tomas Holy, But In The Eightieth Minute Of The Match, Gillingham create another decent goal-scoring opportunity, Scott Robertson manages to pass the ball forwards to John Akinde on the halfway line, And John Akinde spins past Luke Woolfenden and run forwards in possession of the ball, And John Akinde continue's his run towards the edge of Ipswich Town's Penalty Area and Luke Woolfenden's sliding challenge on John Akinde was a foul and the free kick wasn't awarded in Gillingham's Favour, And John Akinde manages to retain possession of the ball and pass the ball back to Jordan Graham on the edge of Gillingham's Penalty Area, And Jordan Graham runs down the right side of Ipswich Town's Penalty Area, And Jordan Graham is being closely marked by Stephen Ward, And Jordan Graham passes the ball short to Dominic Samuel, who see's his fiercely driven shot towards goal saved by Tomas Holy and Ipswich Town manage to clear there defensive lines.
Eighty Two Minutes Into The Match, And Ipswich Town are looking to hit Gillingham on the counter attack with Gwion Edwards going on a driving run down the left side of the pitch into Gillingham's Final Third, And Gwion Edwards continue's his run right down towards the byline and Gwion Edwards cross across the face of goal is partially cleared away from goal by Zech Medley, But Andre Dozzell is on to the second ball and takes a few touches in possession of the ball before whipping in a high and hanging cross towards the back-stick which is headed away from goal by Jordan Graham and Teddy Bishop is first to the loose ball roughly twenty five yards from goal, And Teddy Bishop passes the ball out-wide to Luke Chambers, And Luke Chambers takes a touch to control the ball before whipping in a dangerous low in-swinging cross and Jack Tucker clears the ball out of play for A Ipswich Town Corner Kick, and from the resulting corner kick, Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and John Akinde headers the ball clear and away from goal for A Ipswich Town Throw On, And from the resulting throw on, Ipswich Town almost manage to take the lead, Andre Dozzell plays a one / two with Teddy Bishop from the resulting throw on, And Andre Dozzell takes a few touches in possession of the ball before clipping a cross-field cross towards Oli Hawkins, And Oli Hawkins headers the ball down towards the edge of Gillingham's Penalty Area And Armando Dobra  just about gets to the ball ahead of Scott Robertson, And Armando Dobra tee's up Gwion Edwards, who chests the ball under control before firing a volleyed effort towards the far left side of Gillingham's Goal, And Joe Walsh manages to turn the ball around the post with a very good save, A Excellent Volley towards goal by Gwion Edwards is matched by a very good save from Joe Walsh In The Gillingham Goal, And From The Resulting Corner Kick, Ipswich Town had the chance to open the scoring again, Andre Dozzell whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Emyr Huws's down-ward header bounces wide of the far left post and the ball runs out of play for A Gillingham Goal-Kick.
However, In The Eighty Sixth Minute, Ipswich Town were able to take the lead, Gwion Edwards see's his dangerous in-swinging cross blocked by Christian Maghoma and Kyle Dempsey can only header the ball partially clear and away from danger and Jordan Graham's Header falls kindly to Emyr Huws, who gets the ball under control before taking a few more touches in possession of the ball before threading a through-ball through to Armando Dobra, And Jack Tucker manages to time his challenge to perfection, And the loose ball falls kindly to Luke Chambers, And Luke Chambers whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Jack Tucker can only header the ball partially clear towards the edge of Gillingham's Penalty Area, and Gwion Edwards headers the ball out-wide towards Stephen Ward, who gets the ball under control before picking out Teddy Bishop on the edge of Gillingham's Penalty Area, And Teddy Bishop has accurately placed the ball into the far right corner of the net and there is nothing that Joe Walsh can do about that, it is a excellent finish and a goal of genuine quality from Teddy Bishop, And Ipswich Town have taken the lead late on in this match, But can Gillingham salvage a point from a losing position ??? - IPSWICH TOWN 1-0 GILLINGHAM - If your looking for some criticism for the goal, then maybe someone should have been on the edge of the penalty area to stop the shot towards goal, But I also think that had Ryan Jackson not had to be substituted, then Robbie McKenzie would be better positioned to block that shot towards goal from Teddy Bishop.
Eighty Nine Minutes Into The Match, And Keanan Bennetts comes on to replace goal-scorer Teddy Bishop, whilst Vadaine Oliver comes on for Kyle Dempsey for Gillingham, As Gillingham look to throw on another forward to try and get something out of this match, and when play does resume, Joe Walsh kicks the ball long down-field and Christian Maghoma flicks the ball on and Jordan Graham is fouled by Gwion Edwards just out-side the penalty area close to the byline, and Gillingham have been awarded a free kick in a very promising position on the pitch, and can Gillingham score a late equaliser from the resulting free kick ??? And that is almost precisely what Gillingham have done, As Jordan Graham clips the ball across the face of goal towards the back-stick and Vadaine Oliver's header crashes against the base of the post with Tomas Holy well and truly beaten - AND THAT WAS THE CHANCE FOR GILLINGHAM TO EQUALISE!!!!!! - Also, how on earth are Ipswich Town awarded a goal-kick when Jack Tucker kicks the ball against Emyr Huws, Because that was a clueless decision from the match official's in my opinion.
The closing stages of this match see's throw on's and fouls break up the passage of play, But Jordan Graham does see his cross charged down by Mark McGuinness and the ball deflects out of play for A Gillingham Corner Kick, unfortunately, Jordan Graham's in-swinging cross is cleared away from goal from the home side, And Armando Dobra is penalised for a foul on Scott Robertson as Ipswich Town look to hit Gillingham on the counter attack, And the final noteworthy moment of the match see's Gillingham awarded a throw on on the halfway line, And Zech Medley throws the ball long down the line and Luke Woolfenden kicks the ball up into the air with his attempted clearance and Vadaine Oliver's Header down the line doesn't go to A Gillingham Player And Referee Antony Coggins blows his whistle for full time after five additional minutes of added time.
FULL TIME: IPSWICH TOWN 1-0 GILLINGHAM
I posted the following status update on to Facebook and Twitter after the full time whistle had been blown at Portman Road,,,,,, FULL TIME: IPSWICH TOWN 1-0 GILLINGHAM - Bishop's late goal wins this match for Ipswich Town, but the score-line is only half the story, Because Gillingham put in a much better performance in The Second Half, Jordan Graham fires a free kick over the crossbar for Gillingham. Akinde goes on a driving run down the right side of the pitch and manages to pick out Dominic Samuel with a low cross across the face of goal and Dominic Samuel's shot is saved by Tomas Holy, And Holy also saved efforts on goal by Zech Medley, Jack Tucker and Dominic Samuel. Alex MacDonald's low effort towards goal is blocked by A Ipswich Town Defender on the goal-line, Whilst Joe Walsh has saved two efforts on goal from Teddy Bishop, Woolfenden should have scored for the hosts with his effort on goal which flashed just wide of the far post. Ryan Jackson deserves praise for that goal saving challenge which somehow kept Gillingham in the match at 0-0, And Vadaine Oliver saw his header hit the post in second half stoppage time. It's four defeats in a row without scoring, But Gills deserved a point from tonight's match.
I thought Jack Tucker, Robbie McKenzie and Alex MacDonald were Gillingham's three best players on the pitch, the performance we saw from John Akinde is the type of performance we want to see from John Akinde on a more regular basis and although Joe Walsh gave away a in-direct free kick when he came on as a substitute for Jack Bonham, I thought Joe Walsh improved as the game wore on and there was nothing that Joe Walsh could have done about Teddy Bishop's effort on goal which eventually was the deciding goal between both teams at full time, but if we are talking about these as positives, then the negatives are obvious, four league defeats in a four, four league defeats in a row where Gillingham have failed to score, and injury concerns regarding Ryan Jackson and Jack Bonham and how long both players will be out injured on the sidelines ??? - Now Gillingham have signed Joe Lumley on a seven day emergency loan as Jack Bonham recovers from concussion, I did wonder if Gillingham were going to sign the cheapest available free agent goalkeeper who knows instantly that they are going to be third choice behind Jack Bonham and Joe Walsh, But Steve Evans has decided to sign Joe Lumley on loan instead.
Last Season, Gillingham only had five Tuesday Night League One Fixtures, and this season, Gillingham will play twelve League One Fixtures On A Tuesday Night, And I did wonder if a smaller squad in a more condensed season where squad rotation is going to be required to get you through the constant Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday Fixtures, where Gillingham won't have the biggest of squads to handle a condensed league campaign is going to be a detriment to Gillingham's Chances of replicating or improving on Last Season's tenth place finish in League One ??? And Also, Last Season's success was built on our defence, Jack Bonham, Barry Fuller, Max Ehmer, Jack Tucker and Connor Ogilvie were Gillingham's Back Five Game In, And Game Out, But this season has seen Gillingham opt for experience in our attacking options with Jordan Graham, Dominic Samuel, John Akinde and Vadaine Oliver all proven experienced players, and clearly Gillingham are looking to these four players to try and give The Gills some much needed fire-power, where as Robbie McKenzie, Christian Maghoma, Declan Drysdale, Zech Medley and Jack Tucker are all defenders who are lacking experience and Joe Walsh made his league debut for Gillingham against Ipswich Town in this match, Gillingham are lacking experience in defence, because we are hoping that the experienced players in attack can score enough goals to win more games for The Gills.
Injuries and suspensions are not helping Gillingham, and we found out after The Ipswich Town Game that Jacob Mellis is out injured for the rest of the season and Ryan Jackson and Tom O'Connor could be both out injured for four to six weeks, and there is just no consistency in team selection because squad rotation is going to be a requirement for Gillingham This Season (Squad rotation is going to be a requirement for every team this season) But there is a big difference between taking players out of the starting line up to rest them and protect them, compared to players being unavailable for selection because of injuries and suspensions, We have also gone from the positivity and enthusiasm from winning 3-1 against Oxford United, to now losing four league games in a row without scoring a goal, and there have been so many injuries in these last four league games, and now we are looking over our shoulder at The League One Relegation Zone, Personally, I think after fifteen league games is where The League One Table starts to take shape, but Gillingham V Sunderland is Gillingham's Tenth League One Game Of The Season, and after ten games is also roughly where you start to gage your team's start to the new season.
I thought Gillingham were unlucky to lose against Ipswich Town, but our next league game against Sunderland is another tough test and then Gillingham travel to Crewe Alexandra on Tuesday Night, so the league matches are not letting up and both matches are going to be very very difficult as well, the last two matches against Fleetwood Town and Ipswich Town have been encouraging performances with zero goals and zero points, I would prefer horrible performances and two scrappy 1-0 wins from the next two league games, Gillingham need points not performances at the moment, just so that we are not sliding down The League One Table, And hopefully, Gillingham can do the unexpected and pick up six points out of a possible six in the next two league games - COME ON THE GILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This 1969 Chevy Corvette Runs Hard and Has a Great History
Corvettes have a racing pedigree that appeals to folks who like carving corners as well as those who prefer racing in a straight line, and third-generation Corvettes are no stranger to the racetrack. The weight balance, horsepower availability and independent suspension made these cars popular for racing when they were new, but the climbing value of the cars keep most owners from turning restored original cars into dedicated racers. Jasper, Tennessee, native, Dee Hale’s long-term relationship with this 1969 Corvette has nothing to do with monetary value. It’s all about the memories and the experiences that it has provided, and converting it to a drag car is only adding to his compilation of good times with his first car. That’s right, Dee got this car as his 16th birthday present, and it’s a member of his family that is here to stay.
Rewinding the clocks to 1979, this car was 10 years old and Dee was only a few years older. Dee’s father saw it from the road, sitting under a carport in Flintstone, Georgia, and asked the owner if it was for sale. As you can probably guess, the answer was yes; he gave $2,700 for the car, a Tuxedo Black 1969 Corvette coupe with a 300-horsepower, 350ci small-block backed by an automatic transmission. After the deal was struck, Dee’s father let him drive it 40 miles home, which had to be a surreal moment for a car-crazy teenager.
Only two years later, he went on his final “first date” with a girl that would eventually become his wife. Dee and Terri share lots of memories in the Corvette from those early days, but the car mostly sat in the garage in the years leading up to its conversion into a drag car. Dee had been drag racing other types of cars for several years, and thought it would be cool to enjoy his passion with the car that started it all.
He didn’t want to make any irreversible changes to his beloved Corvette, but there were some necessary modifications to make it safe and reliable for drag racing. First was a 10-point rollcage from Rhodes Race Cars, giving Dee a safe surrounding. He and Jeff Gass installed the ’cage and then started making changes to the chassis. The biggest change involved removing the independent rear suspension in favor of a solid rear axle and four-link suspension. Dee used a kit from Autofab Race Cars, which allows fitment of four-link bars and coilover shocks to the original framerails.
While many drag racers immediately opt for a Ford 9-inch rearend, Dee used a late-model 8.8 rearend from a Ford Explorer. These rearends feature an offset pinion from the factory so Dee only narrowed one side 2.875 inches to make the housing even on both sides. Then, he added a pair of Moser 35-spline axles, a Moser spool and 4.88:1 gears for a bulletproof combination. Another advantage of the Explorer rearend is the factory disc brakes, which Dee carried over to his Corvette. Dee dials in the launch with a pair of QA1 coilovers and puts the power to the ground with a pair of Mickey Thompson 275/60R15 drag radials. He used a set of Weld Draglite wheels, and took a different approach by using 15×8 wheels on all four corners instead of the typical skinny front runners. This makes his C3 look like your average street car, but the moment the engine comes to life, that notion is crushed.
Horsepower comes from a 412ci small-block Chevy, which features a stock production 400 block, punched out to a 4.155-inch bore (0.030-inch over). It uses a Scat Pro Comp lightweight crankshaft with a 3.800-inch stroke, which slings Scat 6.000-inch connecting rods and SRP forged pistons. A 4cc dome on the pistons is combined with 62cc combustion chambers in the Pontiac 867 raised-port cylinder heads to provide a 13.5:1 compression ratio. The Pontiac heads are retired NASCAR equipment, and they have lots of custom port work—featuring 220cc intake runners—and titanium 2.100-inch intake and 1.625-inch exhaust valves. A solid roller camshaft from Comp Cams shakes the earth with 276 degrees of duration on the intake side and 284 degrees on the exhaust (measured at 0.050-inch lift), as well as 0.660-inch (intake) and 0.630-inch (exhaust) max valve lift. The camshaft is ground on a 106-degree lobe separation angle and uses Comp roller lifters, Comp pushrods and Scorpion 1.5:1 roller rockers to put the valves into motion.
Up top is an Edelbrock Super Victor intake manifold drawing fuel and air from a 750-cfm carburetor, modified by Rupert’s Alky Carbs for use with alcohol. The fuel system consists of a Baker mechanical fuel pump and a Barry Grant fuel bypass regulator, while the ignition is controlled by an MSD Pro-Billet distributor, 6AL box and Blaster 2 coil. Exhaust gasses pass through a set of Hooker Super Comp 1 3/4-inch headers and directly into a set of DynoMax bullet mufflers. Dee Hale and Buddy Gass are responsible for the engine build, and Dee tweaks the tune-up with an MSD Grid controller. Behind the small-block is an FTI Powerglide with Pro trans brake, built by Steven Farrow. The PTC torque converter stalls to 5,500 rpm on the launch, and Dee selects gears with a Hurst Quarter-Stick shifter.
In terms of its appearance, the Corvette body is mostly stock, aside from a repaint by Jack Green in Whitwell, Tennessee. When the car made its transformation into drag racing trim, Dee added to the original hood “bump” by splitting it and adding a strip of fiberglass to it. This provides additional clearance, and adds a subtle detail that only a Corvette guy would notice. Dee upgraded the interior with 1998 Corvette seats and added RaceQuip five-point harnesses. He also added a quick-disconnect steering wheel along with some auxiliary gauges and a 5-inch tachometer. A Dedenbear delay box provides consistent performance while bracket racing, as does the air-shift solenoid.
Since the car’s completion, Dee has raced regularly at his home track, Brainerd Motorsports Park in Ringgold, Georgia. He often runs in the 7.0-second eighth-mile index class, but he also bracket races so he has multiple tunes for the different setups. In all-out trim, the car ran a 6.36 at 112.9 miles per hour with a 1.32-second 60-foot time. In 2018, he started the season off with a bang with multiple wins and plans to continue racking up the hardware. With so many memories accumulated over the last 40 years, he adds to the car’s story every time he rolls into the staging beams, and he loves every minute of it. Vette
