Look I love and respect the yuri nation and also think it Sucks when fandoms ignore perfectly good f/f relationships in media for mediocre yaoiz but like we cannot understate just how strong of a presence farcille has in the dungeon meshi community as of writing. IMO anyways #and theres other f/f potential too but those are like.. relegated to side characters with a minimal presence in the source material #so its not unsurprising that they dont get much attention (kikimari save me..)#loathe as i am to admit it there are more men in the primary cast/later characters that get a ton of screentime compared to women.#so we get more tuoys to smack around. like. its not unsurprising.#if the dungeon meshi tag on ao3 ends up having m/m overtaking gen AND f/f then we can talk about preservation of endangered species #but right now.. let them cook #theres some lesbian yaoi on the menu so show some respect

a thing i think sucks abt dunmeshi getting popular on here and the new fandom changing the overall vibe is that a lot of people on here approach fandom in kind of a... self-interested (only thinking about it in how a character might be similar to them?) way, and it's annoying to see

#personal #this is the third week ive seen someone comment how a character in there would be bad to them irl and like. idk its weird #i even saw someone relate to laios. describe him. then someone else called them out saying that description was hurtful.#im being vague bc it happens but to different characters each time? one person saying wow theyre just like x then someone else #vaguing that thought and its like. come on 😭#these are different unique characters in a story! they conflict in moments bc of things that happen!! its not a b&w situation to stan one o #the other!!#it just creates the most pointless discourse over and over. like what if we thought abt this work as something that tells a story 🤔

i am FUCKING pissed about the feral cat situation yet again

#killed the fledgling bird ive been happily watching be nurtured by its parents over the last few weeks #and which had just started out trying small flights on its own #i guess technically i managed to chase the cat off before it finished the job but the baby is almost certainly going to die #almost all the feathers on the back half of its body were ripped out and it had a large bleeding gash down its back #if the wound isnt fatal the bacteria from the cat teeth and claws will be and it got out of sight so i cant even find/help it #i hate it!!!!! i hate it that a group of 'animal lovers' can just decide the rest of the cities wildlife doesnt matter and deserve to die #just because they get sad 100 cats a year or whatever were humanely put down in shelters #first nubfoot my beloved one footed dove and now the baby :(((((#ive tried trapping ive tried deterrant sprays ive tried plants they dont like the smell of ive tried chasing it off every time i see it #nothing works!!!!! it does not care. and no it cannot be taken to a shelter. they just dump them back where they were collected #thats how TNR works. makes it everyones problem and lets the cats die miserably of heat exhaustion at 115º in june instead #bc apparently thats the nicer thing to do i guess #anyway keep your FUCKING cats inside #not sure if it also got one of the parents :(((((( have only seen one dove kind of looking around trying to find its family #:((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

#death //#really tho just. losing two family members within a week from one another is. really rough #even if it is from natural causes and old age it still feels very sudden #and even if we werent that close it still hurts #little things remind me of the grandparents i dont have anymore. like making dinner and realizing im not eating their cooking again #or my grandmas favorite songs. its just. rough #im just thinking a lot. and not looking forward to two funerals within the next few weeks #just.. yeah. i feel kinda fucked up on the inside. more so than usually but for once not cause of myself #its. odd to me. grief hasnt really been constant in my life in years. apart from losing my brothers cat few years ago #before that i lost my other grandma like eleven years ago. since then immediate family has been okay #its just weird. i dont really know how to grief. it comes in waves and odd memories and it feels really.. idk. off to me #ive had few crying fits over some random things but i just feel. numb. maybe its cause of the sudden frequency of these #or cause i dont know how to deal. its strange to me. feels out of place to mourn something other than what i made myself lost #maybe its cause while there was a connection there was a larger disconnection. i havent seen either of them since covid started #idk. regrets and shit and whatnot. i just feel all but nothing at the same time #just. just saying. idk. just wanna clean my brain a little. its been a difficult day. sorry #night is an absolute mess on main

#the problem is i like following some of the tumblr staff and the official tumblr blogs for info on what all theyre up to #so i cannot escape all the complaining unless i stop doing that #but they are my tumblr newspaper #if there's an accessibility thing about the change other than the usual Tumblr Hates Change then go on trying to get them to change it back #but most of what ive seen is people just *really* mad they changed it #like we'd get mad when staff changed the blue but i feel like everyone got over it after a week or so #its been *weeks* now tho #like it's not going to change back staff has been very clear about that #gotta pick your battles guys - there's other changes on tumblr that are more worth time and effort #and part of this is not just I'm tired of skimming through complaints - some of y'all are super nasty #like be mad at staff if you want but that's also still a real human being on the other end who has to read that mean shit #sending hate mail does not get your opinions or needs hear louder or better #dl #i am the ben affleck smoking jpg about this

deeeeeep in autistic meltdown mode oh my god everything is happening so much and my new roommate who is a shitty tall skinny white guy who smokes an inordinate amount of weed is listening to horrible dutch rap in his own bedroom in a way where i can still hear it happening and my legs hurt so so so so so much and the painkiller hasnt kicked in yet and oh my god im about to start crying

#and the worst part is that rationally im fine but still #&&&&& i need to be distracted im in so much pain #& im technically ok w the fact that im this over my own limit bc i was helping ppl which is why everything took a lot longer for myself #and whatever my teacher (2 of them) need(s) a TA and i know how to work the knitting machines so i said id explain the kitting #so she could help out other students but then i actually also still needed help & so then i still had to draw a whole sleeve #and like brother im so discouraged also i did so much work this weekend based on the green light i got 2 weeks ago #but then today they basically ran back their green light which is so unbearably frustrating because theyd already seen everything #and said it looked good and fitted well #and i havent changed anything ive just made a lining but its the shell thats the issue with or without lining #and my leg huuuuurts

i keep going into end's tag to see if there's any fun gifsets yet and there never are. its all just daddy myers didn't have enough screentime & despite being 65, beat to all hell, and living in a sewer for 4 years he was too weak :(((( & not enough people died and they didn't in cool ways :(( one person even said the only trailer twist that was good was malignant (the worst movie ever made...) at least there have been Two critiques i agree with 1. corey should've been introduced in another movie and 2. allyson didn't do much and was just there to prop up corey's plot.. but no one's brought up how it was an interesting look into how evil works within this timeline's canon T-T and i don't think they ever will.......

#its good to just view 2018 and kills as a duology and ends as a sequel to them instead of as A Trilogy imo..#think the allyson/corey thing wouldve worked better too if it took place over. at least a week instead of 4 days..#like theyre immediately bonded from their nearly parallel experiences and how the town takes it out on them so they feel Seen so much #but also..... its been 4 days...............#all of this in addition to the usual slasher movie tag fodder ofc. cant forget that.#ive even already seen corey x reader.. hate that .#he
