ive always felt like mecha designs that are just 'i made the knee and elbow plates and drew a line where the limbs intersect' are boring as hell bc they dont even try to take advantage of all the funky forms that robots can have but im trying to come up with a shape that lets xor's legs fully intersect to act like the spring they're intended to be rn and its like. the biggest obstacle in their design

the current idea was to have this sort of half cut that'd allow them to interlock but frankly im getting my nerve grooves tied trying to conceptualize that in 2d. even with paint 3d's help i dont think i can even make that appealing.. idk what to do to be honest.
