i don’t think people understand how selfish it is to hate on x reader fics and feel like it should be “over with”…black writers specifically literally changed the GAME with x reader fics. we took a place that never excepted us (cus lets be fr. a REGULAR x reader fic is always white centered unless it’s specifically labeled x black reader) and turned it into something FOR US. saying we should “get rid of x reader fics” cuz its “corny and cringe” is such a bitch thing to say bc im sorry but not all non black authors are writing black mc’s/oc’s who are even written well either. if we finally feel included by doing our thing and helping other black readers feel included, then let us, damn!
