I am sad. What kdramas should I watch?

I am fragile and sensitive. This morning, one of my professors berated me for not having the correct format in the email I sent him. It was the first time I messaged him, so, not a good first impression.

I’m sad now, and usually when I’m sad I watch kdramas as my coping mechanism.

Here are some of my favorites:

Twenty Five Twenty One (2022)

This drama has managed to make me laugh and cry at the same time. That is what I’m going to do today: laugh about my foolish mistake and cry because I can’t believe I made such a foolish mistake.

The Master’s Sun (2013)

I consider this everything a romcom should be. If there was a checklist for every trope found in romcoms, this drama might check half of that.

You Who Came from the Stars (2013-2014)

Technically a romcom, but has other genres too. Not many will consider this a tear-jerker, neither will anyone consider my incorrect email format a serious mistake. This drama occupied my mind for a long time, just like how my mistake this morning will haunt me every time I close my eyes.

Prison Playbook (2017)

The only jail I’ll be sent to is in my own mind because from this day forth, I will replay this mistake in my head again and again. I’ll be accompanied by my favorite inmates through that.

Because This is my First Life (2017)

This is just an excuse for me to say that everyone should watch this drama at least once. We all make mistakes but I’m telling you right now, watching this drama will not be one of those.

I can probably start watching a new drama, but for times like these, something familiar and comfortable is what I consider a better cure when I’m feeling down. May this not be the mood for the rest my week.
