I love hookdust but I find it hard to think of a dynamic for them in the Peter Pan era that does not fully contradict who Hook is at this point of his life.

Like, 80% of this man's brain capacity is used for thinking about the beef he has with a child. The other 20% are used for panic attacks and for maintaining his hair or something. I don't think he has the time to think about romance, whether healthy or unhealthy.

Him being involved with Zarina at this point, caring about her in any way, whether they'd be together or still enemies would mean he can think about something other than Peter or the crocodile. Especially in the case of romance, that would mean he can try to do things that'd make him happy. And that just contradicts who he is as a character in my opinion.

Idk if I'm wording this right, sorry. But yeah, I think if they'd still interact at this point, there might be some ambiguous feelings still, but it would never lead to anything. James is too messed up at this point.

Also, if Zarina still felt anything for him, I'm convinced she'd snap out of it the moment she'd learn about the whole Peter Pan. situation.

She'd be like "I can excuse manipulating and trying to murder me, but I draw the line at having beef with a 12 years old"

I ended up not feeling too inspired/not having a lot of time to draw something to celebrate. But I still wanted to post something to say how grateful I am for this movie, as cheesy as it sounds.

Because of hookdust obviously.

This ship has been one of my main sources of inspiration as an artist for a decade now. It's given me the motivation to draw when nothing else was doing it. At times, it helped to distract me from difficult moments in life. At other times, it helped me processing feelings and experiences. Most importantly, it made me connect with people I probably would have never interacted with otherwise. The fandom is tiny but everyone's been lovely this entire time.

Idk, I'm just very happy and grateful for the things this movie brought to me.
