A tiktok comment from 2022 basically summed up how I feel about you're welcome vs blue

"Blue trusts the audience to have common sense and know that SA is bad, while You're Welcome has to spell it out"

#i like both songs by the way #but heathers is a dark comedy. its satire.#its why i dont like when people sum it up as blue being from k&r's perspectives while yw is from veronicas #its just not really true #blue is making fun of guys that will pressure and harass and guilt trip girls into sex by saying they have blue balls #which is a very real thing lol #while i love that youre welcome adds veronicas perspective into it #her verses are my favorite of the songs #and it still keeps the comedy #it also doesnt really stay true to the satircal core of the musical and movie #it also kicks out duke and mac which is. sigh #it makes those two more malicious i think than they actuallt are. they didnt WANT v to be raped #they wanged themselves NOT to be raped #and thags the difference #its a deeply interesting character flaw of theirs that is often overlooked #the self preservation. the commentary on how girls will often throw each other under the bus to save themselves #oh also a lot of pieple will say that blue makes fun of rape and yw doesnt but i think its the oppisite tbh? not that either of them rlly d #but blue is making fun of the guys specifically. yw doesnt rlly do that it moreso makes fun of the situation (daterape) itself #do i think duke and mac shouldve opened the door for ronnie? yes obviously.#is it in character that they didnt? also yes #anyways. lol #heathers #do not take my word fkr this tho this is my interpretation and i am just a sad teen girl

ill be honest as much as i love to criticise the use of fatphobia for comedy ill never be able to hold the fatphobic jokes in kung fu panda against it

like yea those movies are guilty of dipping into The Usual Tropes for a cheap laugh but not only is the character writing for the fat characters the strongest and most sympathetic ive Ever seen literally just the character designs of the pandas in the 3rd movie get me choked up sometimes. theyre all so appealing and clearly treated with the same care and attention as everyone else without copping out and making them Barely Fat. po is already a size that doesnt exist in film protags and hes still the thinnest person in that whole village and that meant a lot to me

#i havent seen the movies in ages but the design of the ribbon dancer is sooo . AUGH #like not just to have that many fat characters but have them be REALLY fat without being treated as ugly or nasty #OR THEIR FATNESS BEING TEMPORARY !!! its their natural state thats how theyre meant to look!!!!#its easy to get caught in the thinking of like. having fat characters be a minority in a lineup to reflect 'real life'#EVEN THO that isnt always true but regardless #having a cast where the nonfat characters are so few and far between theyre hardly present at all. so fucking enriching 2 me #imo writing-wise the third one is by far the weakest but it still is just so important to me that they designed the pandas like that #can i kfp post on main is that allowed #idk i watched a video essay im emotional abt this again

[ID: A colourless, digital Trigun comic of Vash and Wolfwood talking about Wolfwood's scars. They're both laying in bed and topless. Vash lays on top of Wolfwood, playing with the rosary around his neck. Then, Vash kisses a spot on Wolfwood's chest. Wolfwood asks, "What are you doing?" Vash smiles sadly, "You got shot here. In the last town we visited. You didn't even bother moving."

Vash props himself up over Wolfwood, who frowns slightly. Wolfwood is quiet for a moment before he says, "You remember that, huh?" Vash grabs Wolfwood's left wrist and brings it to his face. "And here." He kisses another spot there. "When you helped free the hostages from that robber..." Wolfwood dismissively says, looking away, "Was a lucky shot." Vash huffs, “Don’t brag. Jeez.”

Half of Wolfwood's expression is shown, eyes returning to Vash who is now sitting up, continuing to say, "And..." Vash goes on and kiss Wolfwood's right palm. "You got cut here, even though that girl was aiming at me." A moment from the past flashes, of Wolfwood grabbing a knife aimed at Vash, his hand bleeding.

At present, Vash moves down and puts another kiss on Wolfwood's right shoulder. "And here, from watching my back." Another memory flashes of Wolfwood and Vash back to back. Vash looks back as Wolfwood grins while holding Punisher, bleeding from multiple gunshots in his shoulder.

"And," Vash combs up Wolfwood's hair to reveal his forehead, "Here." A final memory shows Wolfwood with a regeneration vial in his mouth while getting shot on his temple. The next panel is framed in blood with Vash at the center, eyes wide and stunned in horror. The next panel is a closed up shot of Wolfwood's eye, locked on Vash's face.

Back to present, Vash’s head is bowed down as Wolfwood raises a hand to his nape and says, “Spikey.”

Wolfwood looks serious and frowns as he says, "We talked about this. Those were my decisions. They're not there anymore. Forget about them." Vash looks very sad before he smiles ruefully and says, "I still see them. All the time." He leans down so they touch foreheads. Wolfwood’s sorrowful expression can be seen as Vash says, "You protect so much. I could never forget what you've done to me. And many others..."

In the last image, they're drawn more cartoonishly. Wolfwood sweats and asks, "You don't actually remember every wound, right?" Vash points at a spot on his chest. "Kuroneko left a scratch here 7 times." Wolfwood, startled, says, "Why the hell are you keeping count—" End ID]

#vashwood #vash the stampede #nicholas d wolfwood #trigun #trigun maximum #another scars comic for one of the vw week days!!!! frankly i think about their scars WAY too often . most notably wolfwood's because #it really symbolizes a lot for him imo bc for vash it's a history of all the people that's ever harmed him betrayed him and the trust he has #given to humanity despite it all. its a beautiful reflection of his character and then u look at ww and presumably #since we dont really see him half naked Ever (shame) and i mean. i guess technically its a hc -- i assume he wouldn't have any scars bc #of the regen potions (which is why he doesnt have his t scars btw the regen pot took them away :pensive:)#in a way its like washing his hands of blood. giving him the body of someone who might never been involved in a fight never held a gun #but he knows thats not true yet he cant really do anything about it anyway bc he's still just human. if he stops taking the regen pots #he can't press forward. so its just a rinse and repeat and growing accustomed to whats inflicted on him because he knows it'll go away at #the end of the day. he's human but he's also not he's far beyond what could be considered a normal human but he still just is.#mortal but also not immortal. idk. i overthink about it a lot GMSKGMDK frankly i dont think it matters THAT much in the context of trimax #but it means a lot to me somehow. also thinking about how no matter how many times ww kills he's never numb to the sensation of it. maybe #the adrenaline gets to him for the beginning half but ive been rereading like.. vol 3? and that entire fight for ww #u can slowly see him spiral as he keeps on going on. anyway anyway. i love ww #ruporas art

dude i dont think people that dont watch x files understand that its not just 'that show about aliens'. the x files is fucking insane. i mean, yeah, theres episodes about aliens but theres also episodes about:

cockroaches, robots, shit, and entomologists. or, more specifically, a town thats been infested with cockroaches by the government and is being observed by an entomologist named bambi. and in this town, people are dying in ways that appear to be caused by the cockroaches but really its just an allergic reaction, an aneurysm, drugs, and a heart attack. and then a fucking manure plant blows up and covers everyone in cow shit. oh and also some of the cockroaches are robotic, so :)

a man whose shadow vaporises people. thats- thats pretty much it.

a prehistoric lake monster, moby dick, and the search for the truth (or a white whale, whats the difference?) the lake monster is eating people and dogs :(, mulder and scully get trapped on a rock in the 'middle' of the lake, and the monster is really just an alligator.

cher, frankenstein's monster, and peanut butter. this episode's in black and white btw. someones going around and hotboxing peoples houses with animal tranqs and then impregnating peoples wives. this 'someone' is actually a man whose been mutated due to experiments done on him by his father. mulder and scully take this guy to a cher concert at the end. (one of the best scenes, iykyk)
