STOP THIS WASN'T MEANT TO COME TO LIFE. I SAID THIS AS A JOKE WHY ARE YOU ACTUALLY MAKING ME WRITE THIS. anyways:
imagine taking a nap with sae :(
his hourly naps are a daily occurance, typically happening as soon as he gets home from practice or whenever the clock hits 3pm. it's clockwork, the way his feet trudge to his bedroom to knock out on that luxurious king bed of his for an hour.
he doesn't even bother putting the covers over, just resting atop his made bed in the position that he collapsed onto it with. basically, sae is not finnicky at all when it comes to his naps.
until you came along. ever since you joined him in one of his hourly naps, with him wrapped in your embrace, he now finds it difficult to nap without you. this fact was a real pain in the ass to the pro-athlete.
so that's why he stands in front of you at 3:10 pm with a scowl on his face, hands tucked in the pockets of his sweatpants.
"what?" you ask, typing away on your laptop for an essay due soon.
"fuck you mean, 'what?'," he demands, tone icy and bitter.
tensing up at the slice in his words, you push yourself out from your desk to face him. "what's wrong?"
sae realises now that standing in front of you with grumpiness alike that of a child, he doesn't have it in him to ask tell you to come nap with him. in fact, he's a little ashamed to have to admit it.
"do you know what time it is?" grumbles sae instead, the bite evaporating out of his voice at his realisation.
glancing to the clock on your desk, you answer, "3:12? what's- oh hey, shouldn't you be taking a nap instead of distracting me?"
"yes, i should."
"then what's stopping you?"
"you!"
you blink once, then twice at his words, cluelessness displayed on your face; an expression that makes sae want to rip his hair out. can't you read his mind already and just come take a nap with him? is that so hard?
"i'm just... writing my essay?"
"exactly, you're writing your fucking essay instead of napping with me!"
the silence that envelops the room is deafening before your laughter drains the quiet away, bouncing off the walls of the study and sae's heart. the scowl on his face melts away a little at the sound.
the soccer star wants to wipe that look of elation off your face, the urge suddenly dissipating when you stand up and embrace him, latching onto his waist with a shiteating grin. well, this is what he got himself into (he doesn't mind spending the rest of his life with moments like this).
he then all but drags you by the back of your neck to your shared bedroom, pushing you against the mattress before taking his place beside you, stomach first.
the softness of your hands in his hair and the mattress beneath him makes him slip further to the fatigue of his body and mind.
as his hand lazily trails from your jaw and down your spine, it eventually finds purchase in your waist, which he uses to pull you even closer to him, eliminating any unnecessary space. with a gentle press of your lips to his forehead, sae lets go of his grip on consciousness, surrendering to you and the comfort of your embrace.
