Juventus officially pull out of European Super League project, Barcelona and Real Madrid left as only members Juventus, after much speculation over several weeks, have officially declared their decision to pull out of the European Super League. Perugia beating the first of the triptych of large, Trento, with a race dominated from beginning to end and in front of a still Palaevangelisti once filled, and becomes 2nd in league. Perugia starts off well , an initial set always led in the lead, countering the attempts of Trento recovery. Atanasijevic start strong (3 points of the first six of Perugia) and De Cecco is relying on him to Zaytsev (more than 50% positive), forgetting the plants. Trento responds with Lanza and Stokr, it remains stuck finding draws on 10-10 but suffers in reception and also a lot of mistakes in the service. So Sir kicks off on 16-13 and then closes. The start of the second set was a 5-1 for the hosts but Trent does not move up and recovers all'8-6. Then he takes off again taking advantage of Perugia innings of Zaytsev and Atanasijevic (one off Russell comes out to Berger) while Trento slips mistakes even trivial and percentages nightmare in attack (28% of the team). Sir back ahead 16-11. The gap gets to +8 when even Nelli came in to Stokr shoots out an attack while the full wall of Perugia's work on the action later. The 21-12 of Zaytsev sinks Trento that does not recover. Trent back into play in the third more shining in the game reconstruction, drop errors and Giannelli can better manage his attackers. Perugia responds with the usual Atanasijevic and with some initially inspired Podrascanin. The balance holds up until the last five points. It closes a bad joke.

Perugia trova subito riscatto dall’eliminazione in Coppa Italia battendo la prima del trittico delle grandi, Trento, con una gara dominata dall’inizio alla fine e di fronte a un Palaevangelisti ancora una volta gremito, e diventa seconda in classifica.Perugia inizia subito bene, un primo set condotto sempre in vantaggio, rintuzzando i tentativi di recupero di Trento. Atanasijevic parte subito forte (3 punti dei primi sei di Perugia) e De Cecco si affida a lui a Zaytsev (oltre il 50% di positività), dimenticando i centrali. Trento risponde con Lanza e Stokr, rimane attaccata trovando pareggi sul 10-10 ma soffre in ricezione e sbaglia tanto anche a servizio. Così la Sir prende il largo sul 16-13 e poi chiude. L’avvio del secondo set è un 5-1 per i padroni di casa ma Trento non si scompone e recupera fino all’8-6. Poi prende di nuovo il largo Perugia approfittando dei turni di battuta di Zaytsev e Atanasijevic (uno spento Russell esce per Berger) mentre Trento infila errori anche banali e con percentuali da incubo in attacco (28% di squadra). Sir di nuovo avanti 16-11. Il divario arriva a +8 quando anche Nelli, entrato per Stokr spara fuori un attacco mentre il muro di Perugia completa l’opera sull’azione successiva. Il 21-12 di Zaytsev affonda Trento che non recupera più. Trento torna in gioco nel terzo: più lucida nella ricostruzione del gioco, calano gli errori e Giannelli riesce a gestire meglio i suoi attaccanti. Perugia risponde col solito Atanasijevic e con qualche primo tempo ispirato di Podrascanin. L’equilibrio regge fino agli ultimi cinque punti. Chiude una battuta sbagliata.

    the house is quiet, save for the soft buzzing of the tv as atsumu dozes off on the couch. he’s watching the Italian Superlega, barely holding his eyes open from how tired he is. practice got harder for some reason—even adriah and meian complained about it—and all he wants is to cuddle with you.

    but you’re nowhere to be found, even after he turns the tv off and wanders around the house, calling your name. his brows furrow and a pout forms on his lips—where did you go? he doesn’t like the silence. the lack of activity is eerie to him, having lived his life surrounded by the bustling of his mom in the kitchen and his bickering with his twin—you took his mother’s example, always making sure something clatters and you hum something.

    it’s unsettling.

    and then it strikes him—you’ve been so tense the past week that he can’t help but feel guilty for not noticing earlier. “damn, ‘tsum, ma’ was right. ya really are dense,” he berates himself in his head, pinching his own cheek. it’s something he did in his childhood to stop himself from thinking bad thoughts, being rude or mean or steeling himself to eat his vegetables, and it stuck with him over the years.

    he slowly opens the door to your shared bedroom and his breath hitches in his throat—you’re curled up in the bed, face neutral as you clutch a pillow to your chest. he takes careful steps towards you, sitting on the edge gingerly, one of his hands smoothing over your side. his heart clenches in his chest when you sigh.

    “what’s wrong, sweetpea?” he asks, voice low and warm—it’s like honey when you have a sore throat, soothing you. you pout, letting the pillow fall to the ground and stretching your arms towards him—a silent plea for him to hug you.

    and who is he to deny you? he knows you need it. gently, he wraps his arms around you, tightening his hold gradually while his lips press to your temple—reassurance that he’s there.

    “let me take care of ya, baby,” he continues and you nod, face buried in his shoulder. his fingers card through your hair, gently scratching your scalp. “ya can sleep now. a ain’t leavin ya, alright?” atsumu whispers against your cheek, placing a sweet kiss there. he moves you around, still holding you close, and makes you wrap your limbs around his body. laying down on the bed, you find yourself on top of him, curled up on his chest as his big palm strokes your back, the other snugly placed on your thigh.

    “thank you, ‘tsumu,” you mumble againsy his chest, prompting him to chuckle and press his lips to your forehead.

    “always, angel.”
