Do the LDS have any special holidays or is it just Christmas and Easter? If the answer is yes, please talk a bit about them! If not, any ideas what they might be?

Hmmm the only one I can think of would be Pioneer Day?? (July 24? I think?) But I think that’s mostly just a Utah thing not worldwide. Since I live in the “Mormon Corridor” of Canada with lots of our ancestry being from Utah we do sometimes celebrate a little bit as in like we sing a pioneer type hymn in church that week. Some years I remember talks about pioneer ancestors in church. I don’t think it happens as much anymore here.

I guess we also remember the anniversary of the church’s reorganization (Apr 6) and those who are really on the ball might know the anniversary of the first vision (I don’t) It’s not really a holiday though. More just like “huh thats neat” and maybe some years they will do a special broadcast on like the 175 anniversary or something.

But as everyone knows, general conference weekend is the biggest holiday there is 😂

Nintendo continues to schedule "Splatoon 3" events during days when I'm extremely busy & at this point I've decided it's funnier if I pretend it's deliberate and targeted hatred of Me Specifically instead of, like, recurring coincidence.

They've got one Nintendo of Canada employee hacking into my devices at all times, reporting back to home base like "BOSS WE JUST GOT CONFIRMATION SHE'S MAKING PLANS THAT WEEK! ANNOUNCE BIG RUN NOW!! NOT A DRILL!!"

This place is FULL of men walking around with shopping carts, bewildered and on the phone to their wives asking where they can find different items. As though none of them has ever been to a grocery store alone before.

sooo crazy being like in classes or something today and having people go "did you see x in the super bowl last night" and my "no" isnt even from not caring about sports this time its the feeling of. did none of you see what israel did last night while the super bowl was airing. did u see it and continue on like normal? how? if u watched the super bowl and then saw the videos of children dying in the streets and parents covered in blood and bandages and the exhaustion and horror in these peoples eyes how did that not completely override your excitement for whatever x celebrity was wearing. even my dad. and its like. i thought u were better than this. i guess.

I’m going with the Philadelphia Eagles to win the Super Bowl. Mr. Mahomes is a fantastic quarterback for the Chiefs—don’t get me wrong, but the Eagles have won one Super Bowl. It’s time the Eagles quarterback ‘as a chance at a second Super Bowl win.
